8501  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: November 11, 2014, 01:11:30 AM
Why are shares of AM1Hash trading for higher than .0012 BTC right now when you are about to sell the same damn thing tomorrow for .0012 BTC?!?

Alternatively, who would buy the new IPO for a price above AM1 market price? The only way to sell this IPO is by offering a discount over market price. Now think about that before buying, realizing that they have most of their 5PH unsold.

Yes that part is obvious and not what I'm on about.
Anyone thinking divs didn't start until Nov 18 for AMHash2 might have bought above IPO as the divs are paid daily.
The misinformation surrounding this release of a large amount of new shares is unacceptable when the shares are currently trading.

Not so obvious. Just sold a block of AMHash1 for over .00126

The obvious part is "The only way to sell this IPO is by offering a discount over market price" (well obvious to myself and Puppet I suppose)  You sold today at 0.00126 so the IPO tomorrow at 0.0012 demonstrates what you have stated to be "not so obvious".

The additional units will be released based on demand. There is no set schedule at this time.

Then why does it say "Start Date 2014-11-11 12:00:00" in current and upcoming public offerings?!
AND

This release on demand and no schedule is very odd.  Please explain.

i think if you read again they will sell tomorrow and it will end the 18th. i presume then all sold shares will be converted to amhash1. i doubt they would convert as you buy.... maybe i am wrong though.

Thanks Wink  I'm a little dense after working nights but I had the impression divs begin immediately?
Not liking the way information and erroneous cut-and-paste are trickling out rather than doing one comprehensive and informative post from an authority.  We shouldn't have to guess.
8504  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: November 10, 2014, 11:09:05 PM
They will be converted manually and then in a few day we hope to have it done automatically, the same way B.EXCH works today.

Then what does this mean?

You can continue to trade and receive dividends with those units right away.

8506  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It's Illegal to Feed the Homeless in Florida... WTF? on: November 09, 2014, 08:31:09 PM

It baffles me how a 'republican' state like Florida allows the passage of a law making private charity to the homeless illegal, but republicans are constantly up in arms about the government giving handouts to poor people and how the poor are just leeches on the productive members of society. If private charities want to help people, don't make it illegal.

This law is bullshit.

It baffles me how you immediately turn this into something political. The article says the people violated a city ordinance which "bans the public sharing of food." Is this a passive-aggressive way of stopping people from feeding the homeless? Maybe. But it has nothing to do with Republicans, especially considering the mayor of Ft. Lauderdale is a Democrat (not to mention one who opposes same-sex marriage... Uh Oh! http://www.browardbeat.com/fort-lauderdale-mayor-harmed-by-anti-lgbt-vote/).

Can't share food in public, what do you think this sis, a free country? if you think this ordinance is about sharing food and not criminalizing homelessness, you're a bit naive not to see the politics of it.  Roll Eyes
The law is not about sharing food in public, it is about distributing it in a way that people assume it is safe to consume. There are regulations regarding the distribution of food in order to help keep consumers safe from food borne illnesses that can be very harmful and that consumers have little other way to protect themselves against

Oh please, that's a bunch of bullshit.  The whole purpose of the law, just like the ones making it illegal for homeless people to congregate in certain places at certain times, is that if we make it difficult\impossible for them to eat or sleep here, they will go somewhere else.  That is the only purpose of the law, get the homeless people to go somewhere else since it would be politically untenable to simply kill them.

Politically untenable?  I would have thought morally, legally or even perhaps spiritually but politically?
8507  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 600 Mb Website on: November 09, 2014, 07:00:24 AM
Guys, I'm working on website which will contain LOTS of elements. Somewhere around 600 Mb. It is impossible for customer to download bulky website every time he visits. Right?

I believe, Bitcoin users will visit again and again. So, I plan to download some essential elements (raw material, recurring contents) via supporting software on their computer with permission. I believe, this will cut down need to download heavy website every-time customer and we can call material needed from their computer for best experience.

I'm not a developer. Am I thinking in right way?

What are pro's and cons?

Let go simple ones like- customer won't download such bulky software on their computer etc etc.

600 Mb is ridiculous for a website - the average is around 1 megabyte (which is also a little bloaty)
Lots of people use smart-phones too... multi-platform software?  Sounds pretty complex.

Plan is more complex than it seems. That's the beauty of it!
Its another stupid dream in making. I love to nourish concepts in head, study their feasibility and...I don't know rest.

I'll answer your query. My limited experience in this domain say it will be approximately 600-900 Mb depending on data I plan to deliver. It's not little bloaty but very bloaty. That's why I'm here between experts like you.

And, I don't want people accessing from smart phone. I mean it! No matter millions or billions. So, we need not worry about smart phone users.

Yes. You can call it multi-software platform brainstormed for specific needs of community that will arise after a decade. Cheesy

I have a website but I am far from expert.  Your dream might be the greatest thing since sliced bread; I can only tell you what I know.

8510  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter Prisma (>=1.4 T/device, 0.75-0.78 W/G, <1 BTC/T, October Shipping) on: November 09, 2014, 06:00:26 AM
On monday I will be reciving my PRISMAS, I was wondering which PSU would be better to use with:

1. http://www.dc-shop.ro/surse/sursa-modulara-super-flower-golden-green-1300w-l/?utm_source=price-ro
2. http://www.shop4pc.ro/sursa-evga-supernova-g2-1300w-complet-modulara-80-plus-gold-active-pfc-120g21300xr-p-39667.html?utm_source=price-ro

I am going to use them with NiceHash, would it work fine with their controllers or do you suggest I should use a Raspberry PI?

The EVGA also uses Japanese capacitors, has 8 PCIE connectors (mine came with 6 X 6+2 pin and 2 X 6 pin) which you will want to use all of for the Prisma. As an added bonus, it doesn't have that ridiculous blue LED glowing needlessly.   Save yourself the 219 lei, buy the EVGA and treat yourself to a night out at Taverna Sarbului.

Oh and use the controller - it works.

The pissy little twinks who moderate the KNC support forum are getting all stressed out about the wall of outrage that is washing over their tidy little nanny state lives and threatening people who speak up about problems with the ban hammer again. As the poster says, we all know where trying to manage bad news by banning forum members and deleting posts gets you in the internet age.

You've got a bad habit of posting incorrect details as fact, it will not be tolerated and your posts will be deleted. Continue to post in that fashion and your account will be banned. RMA's are handled on a case by case basis depending on the details we receive from each customer.

Keith, this is taken directly from an email from you to a customer that was posted in another thread. I am not making it up. Here is the quote:

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in reply. We offer return shipping for components that are DOA or similar. We have provided recommendations and steps to ensure that the cubes port do not burn, they can usually only burn if the connector is not making full contact on all 6 pins as the power then only travels down a few of the pins and overloads them.
We will repair/replace the cube and send it back to you in the quickest way possible.

Med vänlig hälsning | Best regards

As far as banning my account goes, you are free to do that anytime you want. It will look really good to the world to see that KNC is banning customers from their support forum who paid $10000 dollars for a product that doesn't work right, was delivered late, is unsafe to operate and comes with RMA policies that disavow responsibility by forcing customers to pay return shipping for burnt PCI-e connectors.

We all know where trying to control bad news by banning peope from forums gets a company on the internet. Its not like your forum is the only place where people talk about KNC and report on KNC products and services. KNC already have a reputation for trying to manage bad news and outspoken customers by banning posters and deleting content. If you ban me without warning and just cause, your action will be considered a breach of contract for restricting my access as a KNC customer to product support information and services.

If you have any other examples of my 'bad habit of posting incorrect details as fact' please point them out and I will be happy to debate them with you here on a case by case basis.

Otherwise I will accept your apology for your unfounded accusations.

Post deleted, member banned. What a bunch of spineless arseholes.

You weren't expecting a sudden display of ethical behaviour from them really, were you?  They are pricks.

8513  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 336MH/s USB Miner.. Worth it? xD on: November 09, 2014, 03:06:47 AM
4*336=1.344 Gigahashes/Second.
I don't think it's worth it, considering your electricity bills, and your computer speed is gunna slow down a lot.
USB miners don't slow down the computer and they would use 20W total extra.

Probably only 10 watts unless he clocked them up somehow but I think you would need to change the crystal.
8514  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 336MH/s USB Miner.. Worth it? xD on: November 09, 2014, 03:02:44 AM
Current network hashrate = 294062893 GH/s
Your hasrate (0.336 GH/s X 4) = 1.344 GH/s

 yours/network = 1/218796795

but there are 144 blocks found per day (on average) so

 144/218796795 = 1/1519422

You have a one in 1.5 million chance of hitting a block on any given day so over 14 days (or about a diff period) you stand a 1 in 107 thousand chance.  Go for it!  It would cost a dollar a month for the electricity - you can't even buy a lottery ticket for a buck anymore - over the month your odds would be a little worse than 1 in 50,000 of solving a block.  Go for it! Why not?

This either or type of statement can't be factually NO.  Please elaborate.
