Yes, I think it will be beneficial for investors who want to participate in the ICO.
I think that an article can be a very useful reference.

It will be very beneficial but its not 100% guarantee. As mentioned in the article, the Centra ICO project, those scammers behind are willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and investors never thought that those people will eventually exit scams. Whitepapers are not a good indicators as well, again, they can hire someone to write a very good article for them. They can also steal someone's identify and post it on their website. It's really hard to spot a Scam ICO as scammers are one step of the game. I'm still looking at "Identity Verification System", perhaps scammers already find exploit on this system so it might not be a good indicator as well.

8504  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why are Wex's prices different from other exchanges? on: August 14, 2018, 05:54:09 PM
such as BTC/USD,NMC/USD,and so on
Doesn't anyone discover it?

Its all fake volumes. Never traded on that exchanges before, but I'm glad I didn't because its looks very shady even when it can known as BTC-e before, (and we all know what happens when US authorities takes it down). But it resurrection as WEX but still shady as f**k. It might collapsed at well in the next couple of months so don't bother to put and get tempted the by premium price you see there. Might be a trap for newbie traders and once you withdraw, you might encounter a lot of issues so beware.
8505  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-11]Market Survey: 41% of Americans Not Interested in Investing in Crypt on: August 14, 2018, 05:42:53 PM
You forgot to take into considerations that 50% would be willing and able to invest.  And probably those 41% are the one who got burned early, joined the hype around December of last year, then the bearish trend started, see that they are not earning as expected and lost a lot and decided to quit. But as @bbc.reporter has said, I guarantee that the moment bitcoin started on bullish trend, those 41% will quickly jump on the bandwagon and try their "luck" again.

Feels sad for those who have been scammed by this project.

it looks like this project is carried out by a team of experts in their fields, hopefully the team can provide amazing ideas and strategies in developing this project, I will support you, hopefully it will be a good project and can develop quickly.

Did you really read what the OP has posted? The profile is fake so 100% the project is a scam. I don't know how you can call team experts whereas its obvious they are that they are stealing someone's identify.

Even those advisors looks shady as well. That Rory Brown might also stealing the real "Rory Brown" as its popping when you do google images search.
8508  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far is 50k bitcoin? on: August 13, 2018, 02:31:31 PM
I think the 50K bull market has not begun yet.  We have not been in that silent period with very less volatility though currently volatility is decreasing.  For example, When you starts your trekking, what would you experience?  First you will travel through plains and then climb the hill and again down to plains and then another big hill and so on.  Such that, we have just climbed the hill and now we are downsloping, we have not found that plains yet.  Good news is that hills are getting smaller and smaller that means we are nearing the plains, and also we have to travel through that plains before we get another hill to climb up.  So, I think 50K or may be 100k btc is still very far than we are expecting.

Don't make your plans yet for a $50,000 = 1 BTC. We are still in a long uphill battle, so yes it will be very far specially at this point wherein the we have been struggling to get past $10,000. Don't get me wrong I also wanted to see that price one day, however, might takes us 2-5 years perhaps. My only advise is that we shouldn't hurry, bitcoin is still in its infancy stage and growth can be seen in the next coming years. And once we get to there, its going to be so much rewarding because of the time we have invested on it. Smiley
8509  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Moonforum as an opportunity for bounty hunters on: August 13, 2018, 01:32:34 PM
I don't think that it would be beneficial for the bounty campaign if they share literally the same audience. The ones who will benefit the most are the members who both have campaigns for BCT and Moonforum which means the campaign participants are the ones who will most likely benefit as they will be earning from both forums. Just imagine it this way if Moonforum users are also BCT members it will have little effect for their promotions as they are just showing their campaign to the same persons over and over again.

Exactly. And its possible that's its gonna be a haven for bounty cheaters as well. 1 for BCT and 1 on Moonforum, BOOM!!.

I'm sure that they are flocking right this very moment, so If I'm the bounty campaign manager I will take a close look at those joining moving forward.

8510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the end of Bitcoin ? on: August 13, 2018, 01:17:21 PM
I have seen the crypto market for last 1 year and the last 6 months are not so good for BTC and Alts.
The total market cap is going down and price of BTC is pumping and dumping again and again.
What should we do now hold or take a exit and wait for more drop ?

That's the problem with you guys. You just spend less than 2 years and you got lucky you didn't enter around 2013-2014 specially right after the Mt. Gox heist wherein the price plummeted for not just a few months, but for years. Now I want you to go and check this: (https://coinmarketcap.com/historical/20170813/). That's last year snapshot of bitcoin's price, as you can see its $4000. Now, check the current price, you see the difference? We are still on the positive year-to-year. So I really don't get why you keep on complaining about the price. I'm sure that you wanted to see the price goes up, new all-time-high. But this is a speculative market, the price can go up/down anytime. If you are bothered by this, then I think its better if you exit.
8511  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-10] Huge Demand for ‘P2P’ Crypto Trading Seen in India After RBI Ban on: August 13, 2018, 01:01:06 PM
What else do you expect? Similar thing can be seen during the China restrictions, crypto enthusiast find a way to bypass this restrictions by doing P2P and OTC and the money continues to flow. And I think the crackdown only raises the demand more in the underground so I say that those bans or restrictions didn't put any significant dent on the market itself. It may slowdown a bit, but we all know that its hard to stop this crypto revolution.
8512  Economy / Economics / Re: The influence of hackers on the movement of price is crypto-currency. on: August 10, 2018, 10:47:16 PM
Very often with the news, we read that hackers kidnap the currency of crypt from private wallets, as well as hacking crypto-exchange exchanges and withdrawing from it a huge amount of crypt money. These cryptо currencies, probably, are sold at a price below the market price. Do you think hackers affect price movement at crypto-exchange stations?

Definitely. Any negative news like a trading exchange being hacked brings some dent on the price. It creates chaos and panic and people become nervous and immediately push the sell button. I have never seen a hacking news that didn't affect the price movement, but then again the effect is short-lived specially after the dust has settled and post-mortem reports is published.

I am not really sure how does a security of trading platform works but I am pretty sure that most of them are tighten their security against hackers. If there are trading bots created, there might some bots created to track questionable trades and withdrawals. Once detected, that account will be in quarantine or will be in further investigation. Hackers will get hard time to manipulate the price of an altcoin.

Even if the security is being tighten, hackers is one step of the game. Mind you they are very intelligent but its just sad that they used their talent to steal money. I think what you described is the Binance hacked, yes, they immediately halt withdrawals causing the hackers lose money and didn't steal something. But a lot of hacks has been successful in the past.
8513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's killing bitcoin right now is that the demand is not real (we need Japan.) on: August 10, 2018, 06:32:42 PM
I believe there is so much FUD in the market especially as it seem the price is now dependent on the bitcoin etf success

I don't think that the price is dependent on the success of Bitcoin ETF, although it contributed to the last price spike we witness when it grow as high as $8500. But there are still other factors to consider with.

My humble opinion is that bitcoin [b
could[/b] get adopted by the mass but only in the very long term (circa 10 years), in countries such as Japan. So this will take a WHILE, and of course any government decision can harm bitcoin. Japan is friendly towards bitcoin, lets hope it remains as such in the future.

Japan already did its part and really embrace bitcoin specially during the time when China suddenly turns its back against us. But we really don't know when it will be mass adopted. Nations around the globe is still divided. So we have to wait for the G20 regulations in October. But they already said that crypto is not risk the overall financial system. So we might be waiting for another catalyst that will re-ignite the market 2 months from now.
8514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions and Impressions about bitcoin on: August 10, 2018, 06:15:04 PM
Just tell your friends to read this:

DEA acknowledges that Bitcoin is no longer being used by criminals to buy drugs illegally.

"Its just a waste of time. You will not earn from it"

Of course bitcoin is not free. You need to spend time in order to earn it.

Or show your wallet and let them know how much you already earned. Grin

So yea they think bitcoin is fraud and a scam.

It's so funny to think that people who don't have knowledge about bitcoin automatically thinks that bitcoin is a scam because of the issues regarding bitcoin scamming. So yeah.

Media has something to do with the negative connotation that bitcoin gets. Scams/Ponzi/HYIP.

If you are gullible enough and didn't do your homework then don't blame it on bitcoin. Blame the person not the technology.
8515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 227: Dillashaw vs Garbrandt 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 10, 2018, 05:59:28 PM
Coach Justin Buchholz says that Cody lost has something to do with cardio issue:

Quote
Dillashaw also mentioned how Garbrandt may need to fix some technical issues in his game, but according to Bucholz, it is also a conditioning problem.

I'm assuming that the doesn't get trained very well for the second fight, or his back is still nagging him. Gonna be interesting to see him switching camps and leaving Uriah Faber.
8516  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's next for bit coin ? on: August 10, 2018, 05:46:56 PM
As we have witnessed one more huge price drop in but coin and we are having a rough ride ups and downs, where is it leading to? Is it like taking few steps back before making a long jump? I believe so and what what about your opinion guys?

Its always like that, making two step backward and then one step forward. Obviously, we might be expecting that long jump, might not be around this year, but I'm sure its going to happen. I only issue is perhaps people can't really take what they are witnessing today and still on the December 2017 moment. This is all a eye opener for everyone but you have to take it in stride. We all wanted the price to go and hit another all-time-high but unlikely that its going to happen in 2018. All indicators lead to a prolong bearish market.
8517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tom Lee Says Bitcoin ‘Isn’t Broken.’ Actual Events Prove Him Right on: August 10, 2018, 05:35:00 PM
I agree with Tom Lee that Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency. After the news from the SEC, I thought now bears would reach 5000$, but to my surprise, they couldn't. Now I'm sure when the Etf will be approved in September we will see last year's growth.

We can't say that for certain. As far as I know we are still in the bearish trend so don't celebrate it yet. As I have been saying, I have mix emotions on Bitcoin ETF. Regarding Tom Lee's statement, perhaps its just wrong choice of words. It isn't broken, we have seen this one before and we conquer it. So its either you do short bitcoin (which is not advisable) or really hold on it long term to maximize your profits.
8518  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-09] Bitcoin-Friendly US Senate Candidate Defeated in Election on: August 10, 2018, 04:16:57 PM
Unfortunate or not, the usage of cryptocurrencies shouldn't be decided by politicians nor bankers, people should force it.
Anyway, the article cite other politician holding Bitcoin too.

I agree, but at least we have someone inside that we know understands what bitcoin can really bring into the table. Anyway, I have read that he was forced to return the bitcoin donations he received due to "federal regulations governing campaign contributions."

Just to bad that we lost, he is a darkhorse in this election, but I believed that it will just be a matter of time before we can see pro-crypto in the US Senate.
8519  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain Adoption to Save Banks $27 Billion Annually by 2030: Research.. on: August 10, 2018, 03:59:06 PM
I knew banks are closely looking at the blockchain technology because they can save a lot of money by reducing the costs. What is surprising me is according to the graph Asian countries will benefit most from this technology compared to EU/USA. I completely thought the opposite.

Exactly my thought. I was surprise to see Asian benefiting more from Blockchain adoption. Does it mean that there's plenty of banks in Asia to say that least? Or almost all banks in that region will embrace Blockchain because they welcome this technology with open arms? Or are there more banks in the horizon that will emerge in Asia with Blockchain-based solutions already in place?
dunno since I don't know any Asian banks but it could because it's the area that will invest the more to evolve their banking industry. Or I am thinking it can be because Asia will be the most important area to use cross-border payments if their international trades are increasing (more export)

Interesting to note as well that top banks by assets can be found in Asia specifically in China.

And as explain by @buwaytress some countries in Asia is still in its development and perhaps they really need a overall of their system. And with blockchain technology, it will be cheap and transparent for consumers as well specially cross border payment schemes. Makes sense.
8520  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it practical to expect tenfold jump in Bitcoin this year ? on: August 10, 2018, 03:41:54 PM
Is it practical to expect tenfold  jump in Bitcoin this year ? It has happened in past but is it practical to expect it this year also ?
It will take strong fundamentals issues for such kind of jump and it is possible this can still happen this year 2018. I have analyze the possibility of it through technical issues but I doubt if this is possible as technically the market is in bearish mode.

I guess we really need to accept the fact that we are really in a bearish mode and its really hard for bitcoin if we are thinking a tenfold jump this year. We already touch based with the ETF Bitcoin postponement. Yes, there are a lot of speculators who jumps in and we all are very happy to see the price jumps above $8500. But then again, the bears suddenly took control of the market again because of the news of the delay. I still have mix emotions though, I know we have stood the test of time without this ETF's on our backyard, but with the bearish mode made me think we need something to reverse the trend and perhaps ETF can bring fresh blood into the market again and re-ignite everything.
