8521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: L3+ Owners, Need help please! on: September 16, 2017, 11:32:59 PM
Hi there, I recently got my L3+ miners finally.

Now I am trying nicehash but their calculator and real earning does not fit each other.
They claim one L3+ will make 0.00599477 BTC daily and 0.26201395 BTC monthly.

However, at the moment I get 0.0124 BTC/day and testing it since 2 days.

- Is this normal? I am really confused that there's really big difference between numbers.
- Which pool and what coin do you recommend mining with L3+?

Thank you very much for responses!

I wouldn't ask questions but yeah that is strange.  Nicehash is usually spot on with their payout expectations to actuals.  Either way good for you

anyone have any idea what is a good dash pool?

or are people just gonna use nicehash?

Mine will be going on www.zpool.ca but I guess I'm biased.

Was thinking the same thing...what pool am I going to use.  I like nicehash but wondering if some of the dash pools are actually more profitable in the end.  Will have to do some searching this weekend before mine come
8523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: September 16, 2017, 11:27:00 PM
This new batch's policy is complete shit IMHO - I suggest not to buy it.

In the last 30 days efficacy of these miners HALVED on nicehash, at this moment, ROI in crypto for L3+ is 4+ months, by the time you get them will be most probably way over 1 year.

It is plain stupid to buy these with crypto, and then mine for 1+ year just to return what you paid for them in the same currency.
Makes no sense.

I got 4 in from the Aug/Sept batch.  Total paid $5200, sold 3 and tripled my investment and still have one to play with.  Even after the E-Bay and Paypal fees I tripled what I paid for them.  I'm happy!!

You are braver than me.  I've had people charge back after 2 months on hardware and no matter what I said the buyer got sided with.  They mined for 2 months for free and sent me back my now used equipment....worth it if you get a legit buyer but it's a shot in the dark
8524  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer D3 10 units with PSU pre-order need pay on: September 16, 2017, 11:24:12 PM
If you want 10 units all, I can pay it first. Accept paypal payment.

$1,555 + $200 (fee) = $1,755 x 10 = $17,550 via Paypal.

So you want someone to pay you $17k worth of paypal so you can buy them the units...your crazy man

You also can buy my account with ESCROW, and you can pay it. just pay my fee $200 each unit.

i pay a fee 50 usd for the whole account Cheesy

I'll pay you 4 shiny new quarters, I mean it's only an account and you didn't pay anything so not a bad deal for you.

Hey Hhampuz,

I have done two of these raffles now, both for 10 oz, and they have gone well so I think I will do more in the future.  Traveling for the next week or so but perhaps by next weekend I will run another.  I will try to keep it around 10 oz and a bit of an assortment.

Very nice! I missed the first one completely then if this is the 2nd edition. Good stuff, everyone loves silver Smiley

8527  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] PSU's for 4 bitmain d3's on: September 16, 2017, 12:47:02 AM
Looking for enough psu's to power 4 bitmain d3s.  They are from the first batch so they should be coming soon.  Preferably units for a 220v set up.  Looking for maybe a set up like finsky's server psus.  Pm what you got and how much you want for them.  Each unit is rated at 1200 watts each.

I got some finsky kits still floating around if you want one. Hit me up on the phone  Grin

Pm'ing you now thanks mindtrip
8528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: D3 worth it? on: September 15, 2017, 09:52:38 PM
Guys

Sorry I know there are other posts about these.

I want to understand people's views. Is difficulty going to increase the minute these things hit people's basements/offices/homes/mini mining farms? Is difficulty going to increase soo much that they are instantly not as profitable as they first looked? Are they really going to generate $100 or so dollars a day by the time end users are mining with them?

If you could get one in the next 30 days would you still buy one?

If ETH currently increases by around 5% difficulty a month with the average 6 GPU rig hitting about 160-180Mh's, then what will difficulty increase by on Dash when these 15GH devices are in use by end users?

When forecasting how do you forecast what will happen with difficulty?

Would love some honest opinions on all of the above

Thanks

I think the only fact someone can tell you is that the day people get these the difficulties will surely rise but as far as money to be made...no one knows.  Dash can stay the same price, drop to $5 or go to $1000.  All those factors change how profitable these will be.  (Before I get bashed I don't think dash is going to $5 it was theoretical).  But you get the gist all things equal once these come online you will not make what the calculators say today

L3 or D3
Which is having Better ROI
I am looking for ROI within few months.
Antminer s9 not that worthy now

If roi is so short people will just mine themselves.  Either you gotta pay up or find someone really looking to offload at really good prices.
L3 roi should be better since it seems there are less scrypt miner makers

I get what you are saying but that's not the total equation.  Price of the unit/ price of the coins under that algo/ etc all factor in to but the major variable, price of underlying crypto is always a mystery so make a best guess and go for it.  Good luck

At one time, today was almost all red except three coins in coinmarketcap.  There was too much blood on the streets.  My portfolio was getting killed, all having more than 20% losses.  I took advantage of the situation and bought more GameCredits  Smiley

At these prices it's hard not to want to accumulate more.  It is a second chance for peoe who initially missed the first run up.  Very good buying opportunities coming up here

Ledger funds have been paid.
It took some time because I live in Europe and it had to be
On the name of someone outside Europe.

I chipped in the last required €4.5K out of my personal funds (I promised to buy the last 10% but that bitcoin dip made me pay some extra... Eh luck wasn't on my side)

Anyways the €20k have been paid.
I wanna thank Cliffa, Otoh, Mike, Miner Jones and all the other backers/donators for raising most of the funds.

I know it has been a few terrible months for altcoins
I can't speak for the other altcoins but I got some great things coming up for Viacoin.

I think you guys will like the new roadmap.

Looking forward to what lies ahead.  Coin has a great future ahead of it.

I heard there will be a delay for later batches, and they are mostly getting money before other competitors start releasing. Is this true?
Bitcoin does not look good. Perhaps they want to offload their weight before it's too late. D3 out of stock, but L3+ still available and the site is responsive. Guess demand is not there any more.

Bitmain doesn't need to offload any weight. They have made a huge amount on selling the equipment on these and holding coins. I think they are want to reduce risk in holding btc/ltc so they are wanting to sell for USD or lower their risk. But they know they can survive for a long time. Maybe they want to outcompete others but Jihan is no fool. He would not sell equipment to ruin people intentionally. Otherwise this would be bad for his precious bitcoin.

The problem is if China bans all the exchanges, then Bitmain is going to have to convert all their crypto into fiat soon.  I'm not sure there's enough market demand for people to buy up all of Bitmain's crypto stashes.  I think this is one of the reasons why you can only pay via bank wire now.

It could be many things they might want a stable price with all the fluxuations and hedge themselves with all the btc and LTC they took in these past 6 months between the L3s and the D3s

I doubt any conspiracies against US or Europe, I'm living in Asia and couldn't get my order through !

Yeah, I agree. When I VPN to Hong Kong, my results are the same.
Did you use a reputable VPN that requires you to program your router? Free VPN's are worthless.

Reputable? Ehhh, I got a free subscription with GhostPath with my UseNet subscription. I just tested with that and couldn't get through any easier so I went back to not using the VPN.
Yeah I tried "Tunnel Bear". Useless. From what  I understand and I'm no network expert, you need to program your router and the router has to function as a VPN client. Most home routers don't. You need a specific router that can do this. Anyway, I'm not saying "conspiracy" I am saying that the site is definitely "Geo Blocked". It's the only thing that makes sense.

You definitely do not need to program your router. You connect to a VPN server through an encrypted connection, even if on public wifi. The server access the internet for you. But you are one of hundreds who use the same server, you're protected because no one can tell which person connected is accessing which site. Kind of like bitcoin tumbling, your data is hidden in the crowd. However, most VPN providers have IP addresses that are logged as a VPN. Basic website protections identify most VPN users.

If you really want to spoof your location, rent a socks 5 that does not show up as a high risk IP.
.....and I can set my server to somewhere in China?? That's the goal correct?

Unbelievable. You guys will just be wasting your time.. man u guys should read through this thread. Put that energy and effort into securing an order!
Why so Cryptic? Why don't you give us the info? If it involves buying through you at a markup then no thanks. Not interested.

I gave you guys all details on how to buy from bitmain! Im not no reseller trying to eat off people here! I handed you guys the "KEYS" on how to secure a purchase from bitmain.. and now u ask me to "give you info" and say im cryptic?  really unbelievable members on here.. not a single thank you but criticism.

Shall i hold your hands to the washroom also?

" If it involves buying through you at a markup then no thanks. Not interested."
Thanks, read this thread and my post before you start acting up there buddy.

Like i said! Fcking unblievable!

What will stop the logjam is stopping the people who claim units and don't plan on paying.  Once that stops everyone who plans on really buying will have a chance

Exceeding a power supply's rated capacity is never a good idea.  While there is usually headroom built in you're asking for the PSU to fry and likely take your equipment it's powering with it.

I'd strongly recommend anyone on 110V to get a power supply rated at 1500-1600W at least on 110V, not running a 1200W rated supply at max.

I agree, psu's are so cheap why skimp on the wattage to protect your investment, especially if you are already planning on buying a new psu for these...

Can someone do a PriceCheck for the : 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin

If pictures are needed, I can upload. I have never removed the coin from it's capsule or anything.
I am looking to sell this but not sure as to how much.

around $200-$400 dollars considering condition.
If it is in the original slab, I recommend removing it immediately and housing in a new air-tite....
The original slabs lend to tarnishing of the coin due to their composition.
thanks

I would think usd wise this is a good range unless it has been really poorly handled in which case might fetch under $200

Pretty certain I have some microsoul coins, will have to dig them out.  Huh

Don't think it matters much but this goes to show not everyone who owns microsoul coins visit here often enough to get the 2 month warning...I mean contract from gravitate.  Piss poor way to handle it as I'm sure many will be bought and sold on ebay with zero knowledge about this one thread that "clears" gravitate from any wrong doing after the 2 month period is over...
