8521  Other / Meta / Re: Help please! A troll has posted a bunch of really vulgar gay comments in my Rep on: June 20, 2013, 06:10:15 PM
Looks to me he just likes you very much. You two should meet, maybe you got a good thing going there.

lol

You know the old saying. Where there's smoke there's lube.

Seriously OP just ignore him. If your really not a homophobe then it doesn't matter what he says because it sounds like you have a great rep. Eventually he'll get bored and go away. No one really cares. Look at Rassah for example. He's a gay furry. You can't get in a more bashed group then that and he is a highly trusted and respectable member of the community running Bitcoin100. I fully trust him to always do the right thing with thousands of dollars worth of charitable contributions.

Or if you really are closet gay then just let him suck your dick and he'll shut up.
8522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Curious why so many people are invested in Shitty bitcoin companies? on: June 20, 2013, 05:40:57 PM
Why aren't the winklevoss douchebags helping out Bitcoin if they love it so much. They invested only $ in Bitinstant for profit but they could make a Bitcoin company with all their money and sell shares helping out the whole community. I bet they don't even have a wallet. Giving money to Charlie only helps Charlie. Help us all and protect your investment. List a your own Bitcoin company and trade it openly.

Bitcoin is moving away from being community owned. The venture capitalist are buying most of the critical infrastructure of Bitcoin. None of us has any shares in this company and we are losing ownership of the Bitcoin community as a whole. Essentially, it's a 1% attack.

More and more companies should do what ASICMiner did and offer shares to the community before the other big money players come in.

Thoughts?

Agreed. I bet many people on this forum will look back in ten years and say to themselves, "shit, I helped start the next big PayPal and didn't get a damn thing for all my effort." Just wait until the proof of work system is taken in house by some giant investor that wants to secure their investment. The little guy that helped start it all will be left out in the cold unless they fork it and start Bitcoin v2.
8523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be made illegal under gambling law on: June 20, 2013, 05:27:34 PM
The only way Bitcoin will go away is if people stop wanting it and using it. The only way I can see that happening is if a majority of the general public visits this forum and looks around after a major news event. lol

I don't understand Bitcoin being so popular in Germany because many Germans can read English. The only reason I can think of for that is (after living in Trier for two years and befriending many of them) German's wisely think all Americans are nuts anyway. rolf

I'm so glad I'm married and don't have to worry about all that crap anymore...  Wink

Don't worry, you'll eventually find someone better, and then you'll be glad you're not tied up.

As a wise man once said, "marriage is just long-term financing on a piece of ass."

Oh, and someone let me learn from his mistake (as he was going through his divorce): "I never knew you could take half of nothing until my divorce..."

Well, you can be cynical if you want, but there's a lot more to it than that. And we've been going for nearly 20 years so far.

lol you tell em man!! There is something special having someone you can trust live a full life of beautiful experiences together. Life gets in the way many times.

There is a saying that a man before he is married he's incomplete and after he is married he is finished!

This saying holds the most truth about relationships:

Pick your partner wisely because they will determine 90% of your happiness or 90% of your misery.

QuestionAuthority ~ Look at his Sleep No.
Forget that, look at his bowling average! He obviously spends way too much time playing with his balls. Cheesy

Do you know why a dog licks his own balls?

Because he can.  Grin

Bryan Micon has a pretty in-depth OP/thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=136392.0

That's what I needed. I used the info to file my own complaints all day today. Thanks for the help.

To all of you that seem concerned about Garr using a sockpuppet account: I was refreshing this thread constantly when Inaba accused Garr of using a sockpuppet account to post and I never saw that happen. I think Inaba photoshopped the image he used. Think about it a minute. Who constantly snap screenshots so fast that they could catch a posting that couldn't have been here for more than a few seconds.

Bruno, I'm going to need some of your Google Fu skills. I need to know the license # or need a copy of the public record for BFL's business license. I need the jurisdiction and business structure (LLC, corporation, individual sole proprietorship, etc.). I also need to know if they rent their business space and the landlord information if you can get it. Do you know if they ever applied for an FCC/ULS license and if they were given a temporary right to distribute product before licensure.

If I come up with more questions later I'll post them here. Thanks in advance.

Working backwards, the UL information (or lack thereof) may not be available. Would need help on that aspect.

The FCC is readily available for all to see, and as of yesterday--NADA (as any BFL assembler to translate).

You can Google: Wyoming sos; Kansas sos; Missouri sos (all without quotes). You'll easily find their business when you search for BF Labs.

The landlord for their El Monte facility is located in the same building.

No permits were pulled during the extensive retro, thus not allowing the local municipality to know if their facility is a safe environment to conduct business in.

We have no way of knowing if the assemblers are legally allowed to work in the US or if they have been properly vetted by some temp service. They may have been tricked into working there, lured by the word jalapeņo.

The miners BFL are building also would need CE certification prior to being shipped to Europe or possibly elsewhere.

Thanks Bruno, that helps. I'm filling out some forms and need as much info as you can get me.

What did they say?  A bunch of angry children throwing more tantrums?  Did I miss something juicy?  DAMN IT!

Since you asked, what I said is that you should be worried that people are going to start turning your company in to every regulatory agency they can find because of your behavior in this thread. Unfortunately, I said it by quoting someone that had a more extreme take on the situation. Actually, I have some free time. Let me see how many on-line reports I can fill out at agency's today.

Why not - you think all of that is ok and you think selling a product and not delivering for a year is ok. You are the worst type of stinky crap on the earth.

Bruno, you really need to see this BFL thread now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=236794.100;topicseen

It's fuckin awesome entertainment.

Wow, I hope he knows that just makes him look like an even bigger piece of shit making you apologize. He didn't ask you for any gay sexual favors did he? I can see him wanting that repressed kind of stuff.

lol now every BLF customers will praise BFL or keep quiet so they don't get a forced refund.

I know, right. The guy has everyone sucking his dick for these machines. Do they come with a magic lamp or something.

This is great entertainment. I put this right up there with PinkyPie, Bitcoinica and the MyBitcoin saga.

I did not request a refund. If you refund me, I expect the full amount of BTC I paid to be refunded. If you are able to do this I will gladly take my business elsewhere, because believe it or not you have competition now

You'll get the full amount you paid in USD, since that's how our products are priced.

As a point of fact, you did request a refund, let me quote you:

Quote
but your business operations and ethic are both unacceptable.

You find them unacceptable, I understand.  We will cut ties and move on and you no longer have to deal with the unacceptable (to you) business nature.  We do not want to force you into a position where you are must deal with an unacceptable situation, so we are removing that roadblock from your happiness.  I'm done here, your refund will be processed by COB tomorrow.

I think you're misunderstanding my logic. Take Apple Computer for example. A company that produces an admittedly good product, but not in the most ethical way. I am open about how they shouldn't employ FoxConn for their assembly etc, but they do it anyway, and I live with it.

My intentions are not to anger anyone, or disrupt my business relationship with BFL. I just want to promote honesty, and discourage the opposite.

Give me truth and I'll give you peace. Most people think that's simple enough.

Hahaha... post with the wrong sock puppet account there, sport?  Epic!

*EDIT* - For those of you who may have missed it, Garr just accidentally posted with his Werner account and then deleted the post and reposted with Garr when he realized he screwed up.

I was refreshing this thread every 30 seconds to not miss any of this juicy garbage and I didn't see that. I think you're smoking something.
