8521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODL HODL portfolio on: July 07, 2019, 03:56:38 PM
My long term hold portfolio is currently BTC and ETH. I'm looking to possibly add Dfinity and Polkadot once they're released.

Bitcoin and Eth I can understand, Bitcoin 100% anyone who's into crypto has to have BTC, and ETH, nyeh okay I could go along with it only because it's 20% of ATH and I DO believe it can go back to it.

But why would Bitcoin hodlers like you want to add something I've never even heard of like those two? What's your reason?
8522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware of shlling on: July 07, 2019, 03:07:41 PM
People are shilling some stupid coin around, they are saying this coin is good, bla bla bla. Don't invest just because people saying it is good or don't get into a coin just because it was hyped recently. Better do your own research with all information and only then decide what to do.

They're shilling because they either got paid for it, or they invested in it and want it to rise up, or they're part of the developer teams themselves planning to dump it on all the unsuspecting fools. In fact, shilling is good because it tells me, it's a shitcoin. The good coins don't get shilled because shills know those will take too long to grow.
8523  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: July 07, 2019, 01:50:33 PM

WOW Betwrong you bet right this time!  Shocked and felicita too...
4.95 it was a very big odd and risky bet!  Well done!
Don't hesitate to share your next bets here betwrong  Cheesy LOL

But that was only the estimated odds actually, as I just found out, it's not the odds that you see at the time of betting but at the time of closing. But yes, it does seem that you only should bet close to closing to see the real odds. The weight multiplier doesn't really seem to give you much of an advantage (I could be wrong).
8524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Electrum.com controlled by scammers to distribute malware called "Electrum Pro" on: July 07, 2019, 01:16:32 PM
No, this is not true. Electrum isn't safe. Sorry.

First btc i buy in 2011, so if i have same app, ga, 2fa, usb-backup's, knowledge, experience and i lost my coins yesterday just like that from original electrum - something is wrong. And its gone, i have diversification and money managament, but i cant trade now.

Someone steal low ammount this is paranoid. I read now about it, many people just hacked.

I think we all feel bad for your loss but there must be a reason it happened yesterday and not at all in the past 8 years you've used it. Someone has access. Someone got into your device somehow and found your private keys. Assume the worst, I don't think this is a client especially if you've not access in a time.

Where are the other reports of people getting hacked by the way?
8525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Significant Moves In The Altcoin Market Are Now Overdue on: July 06, 2019, 01:27:18 PM
My favorite altcoin is HST decision token see here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/decision-token/

Nah, never heard of this coin. There are a lot of youtuber's who is pushing for altcoin. I don't know the reasons but perhaps they just wanted to shill for some of their stash. There are still no significant movement because investors are still on bitcoin market, because that's where the money, simply as that.

I saw what these so called influencers were charging. The very good ones actually charge reasonable amounts like 1.5k for an interview which lasts 30 minutes and at least that's useful for the audience. But to ask for 5k per shoutout? I know McAfee does 100k per Tweet but ok at least he can actually move markets but stupid influencers with zero knowledge about blockchain? If a project hires them I immediately know the project is shit.
8526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: July 06, 2019, 11:42:35 AM
Video call is way too much in my opinion. I undestand the need for a selfie with the document and the piece of paper with the current date. A lot of people are using other people's IDs to cheat the system. I just don't get what the video call is giving more than the selfie.
The number of scammers that can photoshop and edit a picture to mislead is very low. Scammers are dumb usually.

I agree that video call is just one step too far away for me. I probably would still do it if I really liked the service a lot, but I'm just extremely uncomfortable not knowing how they'll store the video or if they'll ever delete it. They can say they do but there's no way I'll ever know, will I?

Selfie, and all that, I get it. But because everyone can cheat now, then it's just impossible to be enough for platforms.

And scammers aren't dumb... that's the misconception.
8527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin remains the king of Crypto Market? on: July 06, 2019, 07:47:11 AM
I see that the bitcoin is still the mpst amazing coin in the crypto feild. I believe that if bitcoin will continue to rise all other coin will also rise. Because bitcoin is the first crypto coin that gain a lot of trust from the crypto community. I see that there are a lot if coin that already rise.

What do you mean by "still"? When was that status ever being at risk? You know what happened to the last altcoin that tried to overturn Bitcoin's dominance? Ethereum, and they were all talking about the so-called flippening. You know what happened after that of course. And this was even just a question of dominance, not even talking about actual use.
8528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Predicted During Pokemon in 1999 on: July 05, 2019, 11:20:37 AM
This entire Satoshi mystery will stay unsolved like some of the greatest unsolved mysteries(Bermuda triangle etc). Everyone are trying to crack it in their own way and are coming up with insane theories like this Pokemon one.

However, I would not mind a connection between Pokemon and Bitcoin which would be freaking awesome. Just imagine a new game called Bitcoin Go where you roam around the world trying to collect Satoshis. Hilarious!

The funny thing with connections is that there are always there to be made, just like this concept of 7 degrees of separation or 6 degrees or whatever. Anyone can make a connection if they are willing to spend enough time to find the links and build some kind of familiarity. That's always how it works with patterns too, people see what they want to see.
8529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Bitcoin commercials coming!!! on: July 05, 2019, 10:08:14 AM
thats great to make adv about bitcoin, so they know bitcoin as fast as they can. people that dont know about bitcoin will interest if there are many adv about bitcoin. its not about that store that can make payment with crypto, also about bitcoin.
none commercial about bitcoin in my country, and i hope they will add asap

Bitcoin people like you are so silly. You've completely lost the point about Bitcoin, if you even ever had the point. Show me your latest transaction here or any tx for that matter. And then see how many are being made every second. Did we need any ads for that? And what would those ads be for anyway if not for companies promoting themselves and their centralized products?
8530  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Here is a list of some of the giant's industry enter Crypto recently on: July 05, 2019, 08:46:13 AM
Not to be a party pooper but no, most of us aren't here because of the tech. I can even guarantee you, most people here haven't even really used the tech (blockchain), much less understand it. I know a whole group of crypto traders who've never actually used a proper wallet, everything is on an exchange, they never stored a single crypto on their own private key. And they all call themselves experts.
8531  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - 🎲 Crypto Casino 🎰 Multi-Currency | Rainbot | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: July 05, 2019, 08:02:59 AM
Now that's a milestone not many people can talk about! Probably going to be a lot of people rolling on small bets to get closer to the mark and then try and shoot for the prize with a bet ID.

Just 1 small point to clarify, must the bet also be a winning bet or do losing bets count? $55 for consolation isn't a bad deal at all!

Bet result doesn't matter, just the roll id and bet amount (unless going for consolation prize).

Thanks for the clarification, this already greatly increases the chance to win. Most other places also require the bet to win, so it's good to keep that out of the worry. Although I guess most people will be betting with the maximum win chance anyway and on auto close to those numbers. Anyway, looks like we only have 15 million ++ bets left to hit that first target. I give it a few days;)

8532  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: July 05, 2019, 06:53:57 AM

It doesn't matter how many people bet on an outcome as only the amount they bet affects the amount in the prize pool. The prize pool is the sum of the amount bet on all the losing outcomes minus our 5% commission. In the event that more than 95% was bet on the winning outcome then we just reduce the house edge. We have only had 2 events where more than 95% was bet on one outcome so far and in both cases the longshot bet ended up being the winner. (Lesson: always bet on an England batting collapse when they are heavy favourites to win.  Wink )

Thanks for that response. I think for me, when over 80% bet on a one team then for sure you know the value is nothing worth putting big money on. And if it's small money, it's only a tiny return for the small odds, so in the end it's pointless.

Whoever won those two longshot bets must feel very happy they did. They probably won a lot more than if they bet somewhere else, huh!
8533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for bitcoin holders, after falling price now Bitcoin Surges above 12% on: July 05, 2019, 06:20:30 AM

Public opinion says $50,000? Don't you think that the public opinion really doesn't matter when it comes to Bitcoin price? Remember, when Bitcoin first came out, the public all thought it was a scam. And now the public all think they can profit of it. The only time the public matters for bitcoin is when they all start using it. Holding isn't going to help it very much at all.

Yes i remember that sentience clearly on /. back then, and for that reason i didn't pay it any attention when i had some money i could have invested in it... Now i will lament for the rest of my life not doing so. No matter how much bitcoin climbs, its bound to climb less and less with time.

20k is just 10k twice. Same gain as going from 1 to 2, or 100 to 200...
[/quote]

It's okay. Many of us were the same and that's good actually. If we were to start paying attention to everything that people thought that was cool, we'd be losing money left and right. Bitcoin was something totally different for sure, and it took us a while to realize that but better late than never. No need to lament, just appreciate that you're still in it before 99% of the developed world. And good you realize also we need to double to get 20k.
8534  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: July 04, 2019, 12:57:04 PM
Yeah I thought so, and I did but like I said, stupidly deleted it, need to remember not to store all kinds of junk in 1 file. Thought I was deleting stuff I didn't need:)

If you still have the original file; you could try to reverse it to a previous version of you deleting it (at least in windows). Odds are low, but not lower than not trying

I have a very bad habit of using opening up random text files and storing things there, well after all they are called notepad on windows and that's exactly how it works for me, just to put down notes. Not important numbers but things I feel I might want to refer to later. So I delete them every now and then my computer is cluttered with notepad files:)

And thanks TheQuin, I finally understand the system now. I knew this is very different from fixed odds sportsbet, but this is very, very different! Imagine if only 1 guy bet on the team B and 100 guys bet on team A! What's the commission on these? (again sorry if already explained)
8535  Economy / Economics / Re: You Can Now Keep Your Bitcoins In A Bank on: July 04, 2019, 10:13:00 AM

I don't get it. What is it really? Bitcoin and crypto currencies banned or they're still not regulating it? As far as I know even if btc is banned in your country, as long as you are not transacting locally, there will be no problem and there is no way they can track your address since they will never know which is yours. Also, I will not be keeping my bitcoin in a Bank since that is not the reason why it is made.

There's nothing to get. Banned, or non regulated, it doesn't stop you or any user from using bitcoin, and that's the pure beauty of the whole thing. It's not about transacting locally, it's about selling it or buying it with money that can be traced to a local account. I can send and receive btc with anyone, banned or not, but if I start trading at an exchange or even in the case of US do p2p on a centralized platform like LBC, then I allow myself to get identified, and there's where the problem starts.
8536  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Binance the Best Exchange for Crypto trading? on: July 04, 2019, 09:09:35 AM
Depends what you're looking for. I trade with margin and I don't want to perform KYC to do so, and as a result I use Bitmex or Deribit to do the majority of my trading. I do also trade altcoins somewhat often, and without KYC, so the go-to when I want to do that is Binance as I've always found everything there to be decent.

Bitmex lets you trade margin without KYC, are you very sure of this? I thought Bitmex was one of the most KYC'd crypto exchanges? I keep reading about people being asked to verify (and in their terms of service they also say they have the rights to ask for this at antime).

Binance on the other hand lets you trade as a non verified account with no restrictions except a daily withdrawal limit of 2 BTC. That's $22k daily!
8537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for bitcoin holders, after falling price now Bitcoin Surges above 12% on: July 04, 2019, 08:01:12 AM
On a day not far from the price of bitcoin can reach $ 50,000 as the public opinion mentioned. With the current price of $ 11,300 as well as a 7% increase at the present time, I think holding bitcoin is a good thing to do Smiley

Public opinion says $50,000? Don't you think that the public opinion really doesn't matter when it comes to Bitcoin price? Remember, when Bitcoin first came out, the public all thought it was a scam. 8538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can shit coin be the best coin if the project and product is real ? on: July 04, 2019, 06:45:47 AM
as we know now, many new coins listed on exchange and the price immediately down very much, so many investors are disappointed and regret having invested in coin because coin have become shit coin even though the project and product of coin are still running, but will one day the price of coin can increase very high and even exceed the ICO price if the project and product is real and useful in the future or still does not affect for the price of coin and coin still become shit coin ?

A coin doesn't become a shitcoin AFTER the project and AFTER the raise. A shitcoin is born as a shitcoin. Some shitcoins do become good coin. For example, don't be mad, Ethereum guys, but Ether was a shitcoin as soon as they split from Ethereum Classic;) But you can't turn a rpoject into a shitcoin, if it ever is called one, it's because it always was one. And you as an investor should know that 100%.

I'm surprised anyone pays a cent for any of this considering the amount of free content that you can receive.  Well I don't want to knock your business and if your making a profit hats off to you I just don't really see the appeal.

There's no such thing as free live shows I guess, and as the OP points out this is not about some video you can download for free, it's about a unique show that you won't find elsewhere, I guess that's the most popular thing these days. Even episodes appearing on sci fi channels all about these cam girls.

People pay for phone chats too so I guess no surprise for shows.
