Hope that cleared things up for him!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Kinda dissapointed that Howeycoins can't achieve the same thing despite being older.

There's still 14 days and 22 hours before the HoweyCoins ICO begins, so technically its not older.

Grin seems to be only ready for Linux and OS thus far. Otherwise I would check it out.

https://github.com/GrinPlusPlus/GrinPlusPlus

I'll wait until they make it a bit more user friendly for morons like myself.

The Instagram bounty has been started. Join to Discord to take part and found in channel bounty # instagram bounty !

Here I see a completely new approach to popularizing the project. it pleases me. the team has fresh ideas

What "team"? There is no team. It also doesn't bother you that this project plagiarized their white paper? Don't know how you can call their ideas "fresh" when they're taken word for word from other ICOs. Also there's absolutely nothing "completely new" about using Instagram and Discord to promote an ICO.
8544  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 16, 2019, 07:05:17 PM
I've been away since I was put on DT1, and I have a lot of reading to do to catch up, but my first impression is that there's already a circle jerk even more controversy when certain accounts suddenly leave each other trust and add each other to their trust list. And just like the hostile takeover I described, a dozen users can easily add all of them on DT, and turn all of them to +110 (after 10 months).

I would like to think that, as Theymos intended, the system is now able to eventually right itself, but who knows... We have to give it time for the kinks to get ironed out. There are obviously now kinks galore but in a few months maybe things will settle down a bit..

What will have been of taseenb and coinve?
i have a life, things to do, you know?

No you don't. Your sole purpose on this forum is promoting the world's first government centralized cryptocurrency. Its a ridiculous farce that will never catch on. You know this and that's why you don't really post here any more. Maduro should have shelled out a few extra dollars to get a better shill than you.

8546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: January 16, 2019, 01:53:23 PM
Everybody needs a hobby, and while its probably more addictive than collecting model trains, its still less addictive than crack or heroin!

If you figured out a way to consistently win at something, say sports gambling, then sure there's a financial motive to continue. However, let's face it: most of us don't fall in that category.

I would say a lot of crypto investing is just a slightly more sophisticated form of gambling -- the line between the two is very murky. At least with provably fair gambling you know what odds you're actually getting, ICO investing or coin trading can't offer you that.

8548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Constantinople Hard fork to be delayed on: January 16, 2019, 08:14:30 AM
What? No! This is not what we need this year ,its just the beginning of a new year and all this is happening ? Bakkt got postponed and now ethereum fork upgrade? This is a very bad news and I hope it will happen so soon  we need more good news this year to reach new height

It's a lot better than the alternative -- pushing forward with an exploitable bug that could ruin the price a lot further than a delay. As the field of cryptocurrency investing matures, it will become more a game of patience, just like any other reasonable investment category.
8549  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 16, 2019, 08:03:22 AM
Must be someone who noticed that their trust score just turned red with all the untrusted feedback now becoming trusted feedback.  Cheesy
Of course I'm an alt but no I'm not tagged or in the run to be DT.
This thread is 30 pages long of intimidation so I think it's wiser for me to use an alt. I'm just a regular member.
That doesn't mean my points can't be taken into consideration.

That's exactly what it means.

If you want the chance of anybody taking anything you have to say seriously, post under your main account.
8550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ---✅ CRYPTO4LIKE⭐MASTERNODES & POS✅--- (PLATFORM LIVE)✅ on: January 16, 2019, 07:42:38 AM
Some big red flags with this project:

- No team (that in itself should be enough to stop anybody from investing)
- Selling coins through a Discord channel (weird)
- Employs bump bot service (very few if any organic comments in this thread)
- Plagiarized white paper; just one example of many, from page 11:

"Being able to transfer money to someone else without having to use a bank dramatically"

Used in at least five previous white papers.

I highly recommend steering clear from this project. It's a half-baked project capitalizing on an age-old idea that is already being explored by some high-ranking coins (Mithril, Kin, several others) with actual teams and a serious plan of action.
8551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: January 16, 2019, 07:08:05 AM
To all the guys who have been here from the start of nem announcement, how many cashed out more than a million $ (or several million) during 2017-2018 peak time?

I confess I did Smiley Despite all the bashing I did at nem and nem developers back in 2014-15, thank you guys.  People forget that I owned nem stakes even when I was trolling a lot here.

Ethereum was good too.

I still own a lot of nem.

If only I had held on to my stake for 1.5 more years, I would have been in the same boat as you. Alas, I settled for a 10x profit as opposed to a 500x profit.

What's funny is I trolled here quite a bit too in the early days. I rarely click on this thread but I did today because I recognized your name. Remember kodtycoon? He sold his account a while back -- must have cashed out early than either one of us!

I still kick myself for not holding longer from time to time but ultimately its just one of those "woulda, shoulda" type deals.

Anybody who brings up race-based conspiracies in a bitcoin forum earns a permanent spot on my Ignore list.
How about biology? Is biology okay?

Do you mean biology-based conspiracies or just biology as a general term?

What if we tried not to engage him for, like, say, a week, and see what happens?

I recall that I had suggested to infofront that he (infofront) should delete some of his (roach's) posts once in a while, just to discourage a certain amount of the off-topicness and obvious desires to divert us from making more meaningful and substantial posts about bitcoin.  Can't know, for sure, unless infofront discloses regarding whether he is deleting some of roach's posts from time to time.

Ignore works fantastic for me. The only time I ever have to see his gibberish is when its quoted. Anybody who brings up race-based conspiracies in a bitcoin forum earns a permanent spot on my Ignore list.

And just who do I need to blow to get on this list? Did JJG spam Theymos until he hit his trusted list?

Just fucking with you JJG,

Congrats to all those here who moved on up. We may be some crazy fucks in here but at least we are trustworthy crazy fucks who don't steal from people.

I have a fascination with detecting and outing crypto scammers -- moreso than making money.  Of course it would be great to someday meld the two, but its not easy. Nobody wants to hear their investment is a scam. Just ask Bruno how well its gone for him.

When Binance   Huh  Grin     Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Seriously bro. How can you make a token for everybody in the world to have 1,400 when the exchange withdrawal fee is 15 MILLION??? A gas transaction fee of four cents is the equivalent of about half a million tokens. You seriously envision a world where the mkt cap of an Ethereum token supersedes that of Ethereum itself?

Didn't really think this one through did ya bud.

Oh man. You're just cursed now because I have to see this thread in my "new replies" every time somebody bumps it. You're better off closing it and reopening it as a moderated thread. Seriously.
8555  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan 3 btc (Going through divorce need pay lawyer) on: January 14, 2019, 10:43:58 AM

Hahaha... So glad I actually clicked the link.

I couldn't believe you actually sent the BTC.

Now I don't have to.

Hey OP next time don't look through your wife's phone. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

You should probably stick with her though because apparently your scammer ass is broke.

Based on this loan request thread:

Hello guys i’m new here,

After a long search of finding a loan i found this website.

So i have a question guys is there someone that is willing to help me with a loan of $2750?
I will payback $3250 in three months in payments of $1000/$1000/$1250.
I am prepared to sign a contract to get things right. I just need someone to help me before i get in more troubles.

I wont run away because i really need help and i will appreciate the person that is going to help me.
And as i said im willing to sign a contract or something to get things organised.

Basically, I want to sign contracts without any collateral in hand!

What's the problem, he said he won't run away...

(I'm being sarcastic btw)
8557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tulsi Gabbard – US Presidential Candidate OR a BITCOIN LOVER? on: January 14, 2019, 09:15:49 AM
She is both and I think she may not admit it but she lost some money with her investment in cryptocurrency based on the current rate. And she already declared her intention to seek the presidency under the banner of the Democrats though I am doubting if she can be able to make it...she will just suffer the same fate as that of Sen. Sanders. The Democratic Party is not yet ready for someone like her with right-leaning (am I right with this term?) ideologies, convictions and policies.

She won't win this time around as you're correct, she's just too much of an outsider, but maybe in another 4 years or so. In 2020 the Dems will shove another mediocre candidate down everybody's throats that nobody really likes because they insisted on not learning their lesson about Hillary and Bernie. They just decided to stick their fingers in their ears and say "But Russia Russia Russia!!" -- a tactic which wasn't amounted to a hill of beans so far. I'm honestly thinking Trump is gonna win again.
8558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMA (Ask Me Anything): Bitcoin in the Philippines 🇵🇭 on: January 14, 2019, 08:13:19 AM
There's actually a known "ring" of people operating in these 3 countries and more who've been cycling HYIPs since the 1990s... Bitcoin's just the latest mode of payment.

I wouldn't doubt it. When I first moved in to my apartment in Pampanga (PI), my neighbor saw me looking at a bitcoin chart, and told me he invests in bitcoin too, showed me something called Trade Coin Club. He talked about promised returns so I took about 15 minutes to look into it, and sure enough, its a Ponzi scheme that is now pretty much bust. He lost several hundred thousand pesos no doubt, but couldn't admit it at the time.

Instead of thanking me for explaining it to him, he bought a German Shepard the next day that he kept on a 3 foot chain outside his door. It barked all fucking day. Fucking asshole.

The most devious part about the whole Trade Coin Club thing was he had been recruited by a member at his church! I really do understand why Filipinos have a hard time trusting each other.

Here where I live now, I know a PH shop where you can send up to EUR 500 home for a flat rate of EUR 5. It's still a lot more in percentage than Bitcoin... but to buy Bitcoin and have someone else at home sell it, you end up losing more.

If you have a verified Coins.ph account, you can cash out BTC at the Cebuana remittance place for a fee of 3-5%. They also recently started an agreement with Palawan Pawnshop.

Another interesting thing is you can "cash in" pesos for BTC using these multi-function touchscreen machines at most 7-Elevens. So, the need for a physical exchanger is kind of bypassed so long as there's a 7-Eleven nearby.
8559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 14, 2019, 07:33:25 AM
All I've been asking for is that the principles of logic, reason, and mathematics are adhered to. Which is fully consistent with 'the negative has not been proven'.

You really don't though. You force feed your opinion down peoples' throats by insinuating that if they don't agree with them they must be intellectually inferior. And incredibly, you're wrong far more often than right. Do you use the same principles when making your spectacularly wrong predictions about BCH and SV price movement?

If someone is going to explicitly bludgeon me with some specious claim about my impressions of CSW -- no matter how tenuous -- I am going to insert some rationality into the discourse.

Its not rational to believe there's even a 1% chance that CSW is Satoshi. There's definitive ways in which he could have proven so and when pressured and he failed. He's a sideshow con man and history will remember him as such, if at all.
8560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈The Official 2019 Super Bowl Poll🏈🏈 on: January 14, 2019, 07:21:18 AM
Alright, 4 for 4 with my playoff picks... Just barely won with the Saints winning by only six.

Too bad I didn't do some sort of Playoff Parlay, I would have nailed it.

Two fantastic games coming up next Sunday.

Without looking at the lines, I'm taking Rams over Saints and Patriots over Chiefs.
