I've read that there's been several elections in Venezuela in the last years and that none have been questioned internationally. Why is that?

In the last election that was presented, the opposition won more than 2/3 of the National Assembly. A week before leaving the Chavez regime of the National Assembly these changed to the judges of the Supreme Court. A month later this Supreme Court left the new National Assembly that was left without capacity. Months later the regimen created a new Assembly to supposedly create a new constitution that nobody had asked for. Anyone moderately informed knows that elections in Venezuela are as democratic as in Cuba.

This is interesting... Block times are really wonky and the difficulty is really, really low, meaning that theoretically anybody who had the client could mine it. You could mine it from a laptop. However, the client is unavailable so its kind of an impossibility for the moment. Cryptocurrencies just weren't designed to be backed by a central authority.

Short resume on the petro: We are now with version 4 of the petro. Before we had petro as ERC20 token (version 1), then as Nem token ve:ptr (version 2), then as Nem token ven:ptr (version 3) and now we have the petro as a dash copy (version 4). None of those versions ever hit the market: A small number of petro:ico tokens, which were supposed later to be changed to petros, where sold, but investors can’t do anything with them except admiring them in the now useless petro wallets for version 2. Also petros of version 4 cannot be bought or sold: - One can buy “certificates of purchase of petros” at the counter of the government agency responsible for the petro (SUNACRIP);
- one can buy “petro saving plans” over the web (millions of pensioners received – as a gift by their president! – such saving plans, worth 0.1604 petro);
- and one can buy “petros” over a web page (a clone of uphold). In the last case they credit you petros, but don’t give you any petros. (The web page says since its launch, that “soon” you will be able to pay with petros.)
None of these purchases is reflected on the blockchain of the petro: As of December 15th there were less than 115 addresses on the blockchain with a positive balance. You can look at a list of almost all addresses, accounting for more than 99.99% of petros here: https://pastebin.com/KEJR6iGFMost of the addresses with positive balances are older than the official launch of the petro (version 4) sale, others are newer but serve as backing for, for instance, the saving plans, certificates or petros credited. Example: First 4,000,000 petros were put aside for the saving plans, later on these 4,000,000 petros were devided into a few smaller junks: https://explorador.petro.gob.ve/address/p8XCqVa3zLq98pX3dBYAsgHpVXnoFPkQNFhttps://explorador.petro.gob.ve/address/p5wfevURqApT9s2Yc4ifjjbddrodfSTmZr (now zero, but on 12/15 still positive) ... There’s no petro wallet. Since many weeks there’s an announcement that the petro wallet for windows and linux will be coming soon: https://www.petro.gob.ve/wallet_eng.html There was an android wallet, but it was retired and there is no announcement of a new one.

This is an obvious scam, the PTR is not reedemable and all exchanges must be registered with the dictatorship. That was the disappointing detail revealed a long time ago about this coin. It was always going to be centralised and controlled by that government authority. Plenty of people are bullish on XRP and the difference there is its a private company but really its no superior for that. The only big difference is the private company in theory has oversight from regulators or legal courts possibly maybe where PTR will have oversight from nobody at all, only the very largest of creditors to this central authority will have any leverage to fight unfair moves. Compare that to USD, they could in theory just write a 10 trillion dollar note over night and rubber stamp that move for themselves. They wont as there is some small accountability but in the long run this is basically what is happening, what I say as a ridiculous example is going to be true over a timespan of 10 years say. I'm not disagreeing at all, the coin is centrally based so its a given that all these other things follow pretty much

Will Maduro speak today about Petro? Well, I suppose it will say that the Petro is worth more, but in reality it will devalue the Bolivar even more. And is that the Petro was limited to a multiplo 60 dollars fictitious.

i have a life, things to do, you know? No you don't. Your sole purpose on this forum is promoting the world's first government centralized cryptocurrency. Its a ridiculous farce that will never catch on. You know this and that's why you don't really post here any more. Maduro should have shelled out a few extra dollars to get a better shill than you.
