Bump for all those who just got Zhoutonged!

ZHOU TONGED - LOST FUNDZ

RIP to the leveraged traders. May your lesson never be learned so that future generations can enjoy the sounds of being Zhoutonged.

If you’ve never heard this song, you should. All traders should be forced to listen to every single word before being granted the ability to trade using leverage.

How was your trading impacted by this latest dip? Did you get Zhoutonged?
8562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 19, 2021, 07:50:23 PM
Bets locked already.
Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors
Warriors +3.5. Just to make sure.
I'd risk it just being a fan of Steph Curry. Also to add some spice and excitement while watching the game. Over 218.5

Memphis Grizzlies or San Antonio Spurs? Spurs as underdogs.

Seems pretty risky betting against LeBron with Steph down so much of his backup. I like your over pick, but I think the Lakers are gonna bring this one home.

The real question is who does Charles Barkley think will win? Betting against his picks has been a sure thing the last few years.

Awesome pictures. Thank you for posting them. I’ve got another batch of orders going out tomorrow. Glad to see these coins getting snapped up lately. It takes a great deal of effort to generate so many consecutive public addresses and engrave them in such a small area. I’m glad to be able to do it and on such a pretty and valuable medium.
8564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 19, 2021, 11:23:24 AM
Hilarious that Charles Barkley guaranteed a Charlotte victory and they got stomped so badly by Indiana. His guarantee might as well be a kiss of death when it comes to predictions and NBA games. It’s hard to imagine that someone could have such a bad record even if you were just guessing. Charles Barkley is one of a kind. Always bet against his predictions.
8565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: May 19, 2021, 05:17:13 AM
BNB has a great user experience if you don’t mind the centralized aspect. When you compare fees and speed with Ethereum it isn’t even really comparable. Adding in finance using BNB For their users to pay fees and it seems like a pretty good investment to me. However, it has been taking a beating lately in the price department and it’s rise before that has a lot of people taking profits but I think the future could still be bright.
8566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 19, 2021, 05:14:20 AM
I thought both teams in that Boston versus Washington game shot pretty poorly. Especially the stars. With both teams field-goal percentage hovering around 40% I don’t think there’s too much to feel good about on this one. You can say it was their defense but it looked like a lot of sloppy shooting to me. I really wanted to see Russell Westbrook make a difference these playoffs but he still had a great season.

Would be great to see some examples of your work. It’s hard to judge someone’s skills without seeing their previous work. As others have stated this probably isn’t the best spot for offering your services, especially without a project to show. Try the services section and good luck!
8568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 18, 2021, 09:25:10 PM
I just don’t know if Curry can be enough. Even with AD and LeBron not at full strength. Plus, you KNOW nobody wants to avoid playing more games before the playoffs than LeBron. If he’s able, I expect we’ll see him play like we haven’t in many months. I don’t think golden state has any answer for Drummond either. If the Lakers can all play together well, the Warriors just don’t have the size to match up.
Lebron was down 3-1 against a 73 win warriors and still managed to win the championship with bunch of scrabs that became tanking team after he left, I do not get how in the world people are still underestimating lebron after all these years, it is seriously unbelievable.

I mean he has AD and very good role players around him now, sure not superb but they are still very good, I would prefer last years team over this years honestly but they are still very good, versus Warriors team missing Klay, how do you guys imagine Lakers could ever possibly lose to that? Lebron would never allow that, and AD is way too good to be stopped by any big Warriors have, the natural PF at warriors is Draymond and no matter how great he is, even during New Orleans days, AD cooked warriors, he is like their kryptonite and he will destroy them once again here as well.

He's rapidly approaching 40 years old and is coming off an injury without time to play himself back into shape, that's how.  I'll be the first in line to say LeBron is the greatest basketball player of all time, but his reign isn't going to last forever.  He's already resulted to changing his game a great deal over the last two years as a result of losing a step, but he's still capable of greatness no doubt.  The LeBron that beat the 73 win Warriors isn't the same LeBron of today though.  It is clear he's slowing down and this last year has been a brutal one for him with nearly no time off and a serious ankle injury.  I am appreciating every game I get to see him play, because his days are numbered.  I do hope he can manage to build a strong enough team around him to win 2 more championships though.  I'd like to see him end up with as many as Michael Jordan when all is said and done.
8569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core wallet.dat restore shows wrong amount. on: May 18, 2021, 08:25:47 PM
Wallets like Electrum have the option in settings to not use change addresses. This helps make backup a lot more simple, but you give up a certain amount of financial privacy in doing so. Still, change addresses are a tricky thing for people to comprehend and I would advise new users who don’t comprehend the way change addresses work to take advantage of features that will keep your coins from ending up at change addresses. Even if you manage your change addresses properly, you’d have to constantly be backing them up in order to keep from losing your funds in the event of a hard drive crash.
8570  Economy / Speculation / Re: I speculate Tesla has sold their coins on: May 18, 2021, 08:17:27 PM
It’s possible he sold his personal stash of coins as he’s mentioned that he holds Bitcoin personally separate from Tesla. Maybe he used Tesla’s purchase as a pump so he could personally dump and make a killing. It looks like he’s lining himself up to do something similar only on a larger scale with Dogecoin. It appears our friend Elon has decided to use his influence and crypto markets to play around and make billions. Must be nice…

I know I mentioned this before but the change that was made to logins during the last update has made accessing the site so much easier. No more endless captcha loops or lockups during the process. I can actually use the site when I want now without having to fight with it for access. I really appreciate it. Thanks!
8572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Elon Musk's goal with Dogecoin? on: May 18, 2021, 08:05:06 PM
If he’s the whale holding a massive amount of Dogecoin as has been speculated, his goal is simple. Make a ton of money manipulating people who don’t know better. He didn’t become the richest man in the world by not making money. I’m sure it’s all a joke to him, and he’s probably downright giddy that his joke has made him tens of billions of dollars. I doubt he’ll be using the money to make people whole who followed him into this shitcoin mess.
8573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 18, 2021, 07:15:27 PM
Lakers are being favored to win versus the Golden State Warriors. I am going against the favored team here. I am not a fan of Lebron and I just like how much they are giving for the moneyline.
2.60 to bet for the Warriors and that's not bad. I am just a bit worried how Coach Kerr will solve the problem under the rim.
With Drummond and AD dominating the rebound, the Lakers will have a lot of 2nd chance opportunities. We might see Wiggins helping down there and having a double digits in rebounds. Offense is not much of a problem, use Steph as a diversion to give Jordan Poole some space. He can shoot if pressure won't take him over.
Yeah, this match will be difficult for GSW because AD and James looked good in recent games. However, I won't be surprised if Curry will turn on Berserk mode in this upcoming match against the Lakers, and we might see another great performance by him with 50-60 points.

8574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Video Cards Stopped Working on: May 18, 2021, 07:21:20 AM
this is why multiple spare mobos are needed.

gpus are pretty much like unicorns very hard to find mobos are not.

if you have a secondary mobo just slap in the cards and boom you are mining

I'd have to agree with philipma1957 on this one.  If the fans aren't spinning then the motherboard is likely not providing them power anymore.  This is pretty common if you aren't using powered risers.  You might have to get a new motherboard and while you're at it add in some powered risers that link directly to your PSU to help the motherboard out so that this doesn't happen again.

Playing trees is always a good thing. There are even sites online that will give you free seeds for all sorts of stuff. Everyone should be their own little Johnny Appleseed and help Mother Nature out when possible. Planting trees, saving the bees, food banks, fighting disease, all great things to spend your time and money on.
8578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 18, 2021, 04:37:56 AM
How about Tony Snell becoming the first NBA player to shoot over 50% from the field and 3 point range while shooting 100% from the free throw line… People are celebrating Kyrie getting into the 50/40/90 club but 50/50/100 might be the new bar to beat. Not sure how likely it is that someone will do this again…
8579  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tesla's are garbage, let's get something else on: May 17, 2021, 10:55:10 PM
Teslas are dope. Elon Musk just needs to understand he doesn’t know more about crypto than the average shitcoiner and humble himself while getting some education. I’d hate to not drive a Tesla a year from now just because Elon went full Trump on social media. Sure, he said some stupid things but nobody is perfect. I’m not ready to write him off just yet. He’ll figure it out, hopefully.
8580  Other / Meta / Re: what is the easiest way to see bitcointalk on a mobile? on: May 17, 2021, 10:35:06 PM
I find it hard when looking at bitcointalk  in a browser on a mobile. I am wondering is there an app or recommended browser that is more mobile device friendly?

I tend to have my eyes open in a well lit room when I do it although I suppose a dark room would also work. It’s good to use a phone that’s well charged with an active internet connection as well. Other than those tips, I would say if you’re still having issues, try using a desktop computer. Mobiles do have their limitations. Especially when it comes to small text and buttons like this site has.
