8561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The dark secret of money the sheeple aren't supposed to know on: December 01, 2016, 01:22:31 PM
Let me start off by telling a story.  At the height of peak-altcoin, a guy I know released some garbage coin with the sole purpose of trying to make money in a pump and dump.  I told him, hey, why are you making this stupid scamcoin?  His response was, "just what exactly are we trying to do here?"  (i.e. being involved in cryptocurrency in the first place).

Before you try to create or engineer something, you first have to actually identify the problem you're trying to solve.  The problem to solve is not decentralization, it's creating an alternative to rent seeking usury, aka slavery.

The current state of cryptocurrency consists of closed entropy systems like Peercoin, which are internalized proof of stake, and open entropy Bitcoin PoW systems, which are just externalized proof of stake in practice, not decentralized.  Both are stake based and stake based systems have the following attributes, they're designed around someone monopolizing a variable then practicing rent seeking usury on everyone else.

The internalized stake is basically world domination on cruise control and should be shunned by anyone who doesn't want to be a slave, while the open entropy system of Bitcoin tends to give you the same result when you're just externalizing your metaphorical stake into the Pareto principle of the real world.  This means cryptocurrency solves really nothing in it's current state, and things like physical silver coins as a currency would be vastly superior in terms of both decentralization and avoidance of usury or seigniorage fee.

Having said that, if you were to try and improve on cryptocurrency in some way, you would be required to remove the stake variable entirely.  A system where you can't gain capital by leveraging assets on cruise control with no human intervention or attendance required.  The only way to do that off the top of my head is either unprofitable PoW (which seems like it wouldn't work in practice) or by having all senders of transactions solve some type of decentralized captcha or other proof of work that cannot be put on cruise control for profit.

All those scamcoins ruin the reputation of the cryptocurrency world and increase

the number of bitcoin haters.

If you think that using cryptocurrencies is pointless just don`t use them.
8562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Attraction on: December 01, 2016, 01:17:33 PM
What attracts you towards bitcoin?
I'm asking this because it could be different from person to person. Different people may like different aspects of bitcoin. So what do you like the most about it?

I can`t agree that different people like different aspects about bitcoin.

Bitcoin has 2-3 big benefits and all the bitcoin users like them. There`s no need to mention them again.
8563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: December 01, 2016, 01:15:23 PM
Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.

I remember that a small bank in Switzerland was selling bitcoins for fiat.

I don`t know about a bank that accepts bitcoin deposits.
8564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin impacts? on: December 01, 2016, 08:36:14 AM
For you which could be the most important impact that bitcoin have made, will make or has been making to our society?

Bitcoin still hasn`t any impact over the society.

The bitcoin community is still very small. Sad

Bitcoin will have some huge impact in the future for sure. Grin
8565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM on: December 01, 2016, 08:31:15 AM
Hello guys  Grin
How many bitcoin ATMs do you
have in your country?
Here in Portugal there's only one
in Lisbon!
Do you think there should be more in
your country or are sufficient?

I don`t know about any bitcoin ATMs in Bulgaria.

We don`t need bitcoin ATMs because there isn`t any place where we can buy stuff offline with btc.

The whole idea about bitcoin ATM is obsolete,i think.
8566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: November 30, 2016, 02:31:44 PM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink

It`s irreversible-in some cases it`s a disadvantage,in other cases it`s advantage.

The price isn`t stable sometimes-it`s an advantage and also a disadvantage sometimes.

For me the biggest disadvantage of btc is that i don`t have enough bitcoins Grin.
8567  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is coinbase account safe for transaction? on: November 30, 2016, 02:26:10 PM
I use coinbase as a personal wallet. It cost nothing for transactions. Is it safe? someone told me to use blockchain instead of coinbase.but it cut a fee for every transaction.

It`s safe, unless you use it for gambling or some illegal activities.

Coinbase sometimes blocks accounts used for gambling purposes.
8568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a SURVEY SITE that will pay you BITCOINS? anyone? on: November 30, 2016, 02:22:54 PM
I have a maintaining site of survey and it pays me $. Not as much as you need for a day but it may stack at my paypal account for the future purposes. The sad thing is, for a month, they can only give me an invitation to answer surveys for only 2-3 times. It's kinda frustrating. Anyone who knows for a Bitcoin paying SURVEY SITES?? thank you in advance..

Survey  sites are a waste of time, unless you live in the USA.

A survey site that pays with bitcoins is an interesting idea by the way.

8569  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: November 30, 2016, 07:04:31 AM
My bank closed my account last year for no reason, and all money in my account was gone. I argued with the bank, even contacted the local government, no use. I contacted all banking lawyers online, and they were all representing the bank, not the customers. The money I lost can buy a new Mercedes. However, banks around the world now are too powerful. They are too big to fail. When you open an account in the United States, and probably also many other countries, you voluntarily give up the rights to sue the bank under their arbitrage clause. Even worse, they define the financial laws and enforce them. They can close your account, freeze and steal your property and evict you from your house. The more money you deposit into your bank account, the more you helped the evil. I'm glad to see Bitcoin is changing all of these. Let banks die!

This is why we all support bitcoin.

I don`t trust banks, but unfortunately they are too powerful and sometimes you don`t have choice and

you need their service.

Bitcoin will change all this.
8570  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much did you spent in the internet using bitcoin? on: November 30, 2016, 07:01:54 AM

8571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Failed to Deliver ? on: November 30, 2016, 06:58:47 AM
Bitcoin has often been compared to the Internet itself. A project that will change the very world that we live in. The Internet has come to define the age that we currently live in, but can the same be said of Bitcoin? Has Bitcoin been an empty promise? Well, the truth is that we need to dig deeper into that question, and more importantly, we need to ask that question.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/has-bitcoin-failed-to-deliver

So in your opinion , Bitcoin has indeed failed to deliver or It's too soon to say?

I think it`s too soon to say.

The bitcoin project is only 7 years old and there is  room for development and growth.

The influence of bitcoin over the world is still very small.
8572  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to increase BTC? on: November 29, 2016, 01:33:35 PM
Hey guys.

How can I increase my bitcoin money? I am a bit curious to those people who can easily make money “btc” grow fast. How do they it correctly?
Can I ask a bit of advice on how to manage it like what you do?
Of course I know many people here want to know too.

Maybe it is good to share a little of it. It would be great if we grow together.

Do you want a job that pays you with bitcoins or you want to invest btc and get profit?

Nobody is going to reveal a really working method for free and most of the methods are about scamming

people.Just join a sig campaign.
8573  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: November 29, 2016, 01:29:09 PM
What are your bad experiences in bitcoin? Not just scammed by other users it could also include HYIP, Cloud mining scams, investment scams, etc. I know it's a bad thing that happened, I think it's better to share them here so you could vent out on what you are feeling.

Feel free to post anything.

I`ve never been scammed while trading btc with other users here or on localbitcoins.com.

I`ve never used any cloud mining, hyip websites and i don`t understand why people continue

to use them and give them btc.
8574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Europe wants to ban blockchain technology? on: November 29, 2016, 01:26:50 PM
Link: https://news.bitcoin.com/europe-power-ban-blockchain/

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is responsible for promoting investor protection, orderly markets and financial stability. At a blockchain conference last week in London, Patrick Armstrong, Senior Risk Analysis Officer, detailed ESMA’s approach to blockchain technology. One strategy he noted was to ban blockchain products or processes altogether.

The european bureaucracy is dangerous for bitcoin and the blockchain.

I will continue to use btc and i don`t care if they will ban the blockchain or not.
8575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: find satoshi? on: November 29, 2016, 07:24:41 AM

Satoshi Nakamoto is not a name,it`s nickname.

The founder of bitcoin is not from Japan.

I assume we all know that, unless some newbies who started learning about bitcoin recently.
8576  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price increase attributed to rising Chinese demand for cryptocurrency on: November 29, 2016, 07:19:55 AM
Thought you guys might be interested in this TV interview about bitcoin's recent price increase:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3z-VXbk9_o

What price increase?

The price decreased from 748$ to 730$ during the last few days.

I`m still waiting for the huge price increase and it isn`t coming.
8577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin battle against multinational companies on: November 29, 2016, 07:17:51 AM
We know that the distribution of hashing power is highly unbalanced. If the big giants like Intel, Google, nVidia, IBM all collide together to mine Bitcoins will they out power the rest of the Bitcoin community?

Why do you suggest that?

Do you want bitcoin to be owned by Intel,Google,IBm,etc...?

Off course they will out power the rest of the bitcoin community.
8578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoin is good for enterprise ? on: November 27, 2016, 07:05:10 AM
Dear ALL,

I was struggling some days ago..
I need to make a presentation about bitcoin in Enterprise...l read a lot about it but I couldn't find in google how bitcoin is good for companies ?

It's good for individuals (anonymous, low taxes, fast) but for companies (Banks, ITs, Assurances...)?

regards,

Bitcoin isn`t good for companies right now and that`s why it`s growing so slow.

There are no incentives for the companies to adopt and use bitcoin.

Many countries still refuse to accept bitcoin as a currency.
8579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: November 27, 2016, 07:02:14 AM
So, what do people around you (relatives, co-workers, co-ed, friends...) think about Bitcoin ? Please, indicate your country, so this way I'll be able to make a synthesis about what people think about Bitcoin.

For me : I come from France. My relatives think that it's criminals' tool and that since they can't touch money they don't trust it (note that those same persons are pro-banks, where you can't touch money). My friends think that it is useless and that it has no future. Both of them agree that scare them the most is the Bictoin's price volatibility.

So not so positive Undecided. I hope that you aren't in the same situation.

Nobody around me knows anything about bitcoin.

I`m not going to tell them anything, because they won`t believe me.
8580  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are Venezuelan not switching to Bitcoin? on: November 26, 2016, 02:16:30 PM
The Venezuelan people are suffering under high inflation (official inflation rate is 124%, inofficial rate is 720%). Why do they not switch to Bitcoin or alternative coins? Do they not know about Bitcoin or do they do not have access to Bitcoin buying options? This is really a mystery for me  Undecided

They don`t know about bitcoin or they don`t have personal computers.Maybe both...

Buying bitcoins is expensive and risky.

Is there a way to buy btc with the venezuelan currency?
