8562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: this eth congestion sucks almost 5 hours on: March 01, 2021, 11:07:52 PM
increase the gas fee on your transactions mate
The fees are a lot this time and others can no longer take it. Increasing the fee is really the solution to avoid stuck transactions but if it's a lot, you will feel bad because it shouldn't be that much.

by the way, if you want to cancel your transactions, i think a trick on this article will help you my friend

Many days have passed, I think it's already confirmed unless he'll wait for it to be dropped by ETH network.
8563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: March 01, 2021, 10:24:28 PM
If we talk about the market, it will still be huge and it can attract many people to come to the gambling sites as they can online from anywhere they want. If the casino sees that hiring someone who has a huge follower in social media can give them a chance to reach more people to become their member, they will still do that and search for the promoters that can help them. Well, I am sure the casino gets benefits from that as the promoters can get the additional money from the casino.
They won't hire someone who does have a low following. It's a protocol to most of these advertisers like in this niche that they should hire someone who has a large following.
It's a throw and waste of money if they will sponsor someone who only has a less following. They don't want to do that.
8564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Elon Musk Again & Again Tweet for Doge? on: March 01, 2021, 09:52:36 PM
Maybe Elon Musk wants the price of Doge coin to continue to rise and grow like other Altcoins.
That's obviously what he does. And it's just for the meme that he does. I don't find any relevance of him being related to Dogecoin. It's already a long project that's been abandoned yet still operational.
A big market cap has already been with it and that's just the process keeps going on because there are several exchanges that supports it.
8565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: March 01, 2021, 09:29:39 PM
Gambling is a profession, I know.  But this job is not long, and it cannot sustain you for life.  Consistency needs training, but is it possible to deny the threshold of ambition?  Very few people have success with gambling in both calculation and luck.  So, entertain and stop at the right time.  Gamblers are often rooted in nature. Grin
There are always both sides of the story. We know that it cannot sustain for life but you should ask someone who's been gambling all of his life and remains to be a gambler up to this time. There are ways that they can sustain their lives and if it's already their life, they can make a living from it and won't just give up when they lose. As you said, there are few people that are successful in making it a living so if they are, they are sustaining their lives through it.
8566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment projects ? on: March 01, 2021, 08:51:46 PM
ETH is the subsequent significant coin and a great many people incline toward putting resources into this coin. ETH cost is right now 1.5k, if BTC keeps cost expanding, ETH won't stop. As you most likely are aware ETH is affected by the BTC development. On the off chance that you are searching for a drawn out speculation project, ETH is the most ideal decision, l concur with that. Top altcoins have consistently been generally mainstream about long haul venture. In fact there are different ventures which can be effective later on.
It is not only ETH that's affected by bitcoin but every altcoin in the market is. And even if you suggest to OP that he should be holding ETH, that wouldn't be acceptable to him.
He's looking for projects or coins that have a lesser market cap as it's said on his title. Most of the top altcoins are more than $500M in market cap and they're billions in MC.
8567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 million is it just a pointless number and nothing to do with scarcity? on: March 01, 2021, 08:23:14 PM
I don't get the comparison of one whole bitcoin to sats or mbtcs. It's like you're getting a hundred dollar and denominates it in centavos, ones, and tens. That seems to be the likely of your explanation or question about its limit.

It was never stated that bitcoin or any other crypto coin have a limited supply and even if their do have limited supply it can never be scarce and what determine it value is the price.
Bitcoin has limited supply and scarce.

You are right, just for now. Let's forget about him what would be the future that awaits in his career. As long as he has the contract with his team now and about to play with the upcoming opening season, that should be the most important thing to talk about.
Well, sometimes thoughts like I have said really comes into our minds.  Tongue

It's so early to speculate about what will be his retirement and what job he can land after that since he's still playing and healthy. I believe he still have so many years to play and maybe he will follow the foot tracks of asu taulava for having a long time career on PBA. Maybe your speculations here guys are right since he's experience and hustle could give a good contribution to the team will acquired his service.
It just got into my mind since they've also mentioned retirement. Yeah, you're right that it's too early for him to talk about retirement but that's to be sure that whenever he retires, there will still be another career that he will pursue and any of these teams will give him that opportunity.
That's one great record if he's going to be the same with Asi Taulava but as you said, it's too early and we'll never know.
8569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EBL - Esports Balkan League on: March 01, 2021, 07:23:26 PM
I'm not sure how much interest there is on LOL in bitcointalk but I suppose you can combine it with the main eSports thread. I feel otherwise this thread might get buried somewhere deep if not regularly updated.
I've seen some other members who are interested in the game and predict in different threads. AFAIK, there's no specific main or official thread for esports on this section.

We will see is there some interest about this, I would like to see some people who follow LOL games, especially this Balkan competition.
Wait for them, they'll come to this thread as it is specifically titled.
8570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What made you prefer Hitbtc over Binance? on: March 01, 2021, 04:26:59 PM
I am using binance for a while but I am hearing hitbtc quite often lately. I was wondering what Hitbtc have that binance doesnt?
I prefer Binance than hitbtc, there were a lot of bad experiences and scam accusations against hitbtc. I don't know where you got the idea why people prefer hitbtc than binance.

What's Hitbtc's advantages compared to Binance?
AFAIK, there's none. Binance has more advantage.
8571  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think it's time to go Short on Bitcoin on: March 01, 2021, 10:32:22 AM
I personally don't think the increase in price for Bitcoin is over yet, and we might see another big leg up soon, don't get bearish too fast, shorting Bitcoin while the trend is significantly up is not advisable and just because Bitcoin price actions seemed a little weak for a couple of days that should not motivate you to open large short positions.
Let them be bearish. That's what they think and thought about bitcoin so let them think like that. We have different techniques and thoughts about bitcoin this time.
And if the others are thinking that it's done and over, we think differently. This isn't the end of it and there's probably another run that might come soon.
8572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why ETH dropped 20% from the high peak? Anyone knows? on: March 01, 2021, 09:11:49 AM
Temporary drop.
People cash out for profits.
Whales took profits.
Nothing new on this if it drops a lot within a few days or even within less than a day. The normal thing in cryptocurrency is this.

True and since ETH price surge is so suddenly, the market is unable to support the surge so correction is to be expected.  And since this is cryptocurrency, a 20% drop is just an ordinary occurrence of the market's daily trade.  If you look at the cryptocurrency history, drop like this is nothing, good thing is that the bullish trend is far from over.  This is just another higher low of the ETH market.
True. A very volatile market is expected to have a 20% drop and would probably have more when it bounces back. I've not hurt anymore when it comes to these dips.
But the regret of not selling at the top is what makes me feel bad but still, no one can assure that every price is the ceiling and every drop is the dip.
There is working a psychological pressure, so regret of not selling at the top very common in this industry. We don't know how long this correction would realistically last. Here's the truth, many altcoins haven't made ATH yet. It's better waiting the pull back.
It usually happens for everyone, I guess so. I wouldn't find my luck with the altcoins that haven't made their all time high, I'm sticking to bitcoin and Ethereum just for this bull run. I've got other altcoins but they don't really matter at all.
Unlike the others, they are finding their luck with those and thinking that it can break at and will surpass the other altcoins that have made their ath.

8574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better, ether or bitcoin? on: February 28, 2021, 10:47:58 PM
For now, I still think that holding ethereum in the long term might be better than Bitcoin. Besides the high price, I think ethereum can also develop in its bitcoin pair. What I mean is, you're probably currently keeping ethereum priced at 0.03 BTC, but within a few months the price went up to 0.035 BTC. it is quite profitable if you have enough assets.
There are several markets that have pairs already with Ethereum so there's no need for you to think about it because it's already in different exchanges and you might have missed it. But for the sake of long term, I'd rather have bitcoin if there's no choice to hold both.
But why to stop owning both of them if we can, right? and putting an option to choose if we can hold them together.
8575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is in Step Cycle | Good opportunity for buying more! on: February 28, 2021, 10:16:12 PM
Very different this time. I still a lot of people comparing bitcoin's ATH in 2017 and this early of January. Many still can't believe that it has grown a lot and missed buying it.

With the chart above , I do not expect that this is deep happening and checking on current price of bitcoin still @ $44,692 is not looking good as a deep to fly in. The monthly ending too will determine using the candle analysis. So it is still not time to predict we are already on a deep.
How is it that it's not looking good? $44000 seems to be high for me already.
8576  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think it's time to go Short on Bitcoin on: February 28, 2021, 09:42:41 PM
I think bitcoin will drop to another Support in the next 24 hours, The volume is lower than the last weeks.

what do you think guys ?
That is fine. Just think of it as another buying time and opportunity. How much you've bought bitcoin? did you buy at the peak or no? if you've bought at the peak, you're mostly worried because your money on bitcoin is becoming less in value.
We can say that bitcoin topped at $58000 and that's really the peak this time. But it doesn't mean that it can't go back there or if it's getting another support at $40000 then that's it, that's still a 5 digit for bitcoin.
8577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another month of March on: February 28, 2021, 09:10:21 PM
I will keep this short, we all know how month of March do not favour bitcoin at all, bear market started ending of February and today is the last day of February, hope the market will not still go downside? I do fair the month of March because bitcoin and generally all cryptocurrencies do suffer in price declination during this time.

What you think this coming month (March) will bring?
It's just last year that March wasn't so good and I don't get the impression that every March, we're anticipating just as the same as last year. We've been a lot on this correction and that would probably be the March that people are expecting about.
Whatever this March will bring, it doesn't matter. We've broken a lot of ATHs and that's make it easier for us to hold more and encourages us to buy more if we can.

About the daily news, Calvin might retire in SMC soon as that's what the boss wants.

Calvin Abueva says Alfrancis Chua wants him to retire with SMC group

He is not getting any younger, it's nice if he can find a team to stay and retire when the time will come.
That's coming from the boss, meaning they value Calvin in a team and they understand that their chances has increase because of his arrival.
If that's what the boss wants then he's in good hands. Now, this is a good thought for Calvin, after what he had gone through and it's a good idea for him to retire with SMC.
But what's next after that? I guess that he'll still be getting a job on his team after that, maybe the same as the coaching staff.
Honestly, I don't think Calvin does fit in the coaching job, maybe let's just focus on him being a player now and enjoy a good career then retirement comes thereafter. The beast is only good on being a player because of his talent, I'm not underestimating him but I don't see in his attitude to become a good coach in a team as simple quality of a coach is being calm, Calvin does not have that.  Cheesy
You are right, just for now. Let's forget about him what would be the future that awaits in his career. As long as he has the contract with his team now and about to play with the upcoming opening season, that should be the most important thing to talk about.

8579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: February 28, 2021, 08:11:54 PM
We fail to consider that if anything, we're not really that much affected since even them got the same odds than us, except of course if they have rigged it to make it seem like it's easy to win.
That's very dishonest of the guy if they'll make rig the game and as well as the casino that has sponsored him. I don't see the point that they'll rig it just for the attention but surely this could really be happening or even happened even before. And I agree that we don't care anymore if the guy that was sponsored will use it on that casino or just take the money or whatever he'll do because it was him that has a deal with the casino and not us.

Maybe that person who promotes the casino will get another bonus from the casino to play on the casino so that the promoters can have fun with the additional money. It is up to the promoters to spend all of the money to gamble or just use small money to gamble. But if the promoters want to give their followers a lesson, they will always remind them not to use too big money to gamble. The promoters need to be neutral between the casino and their followers, so the promoters can still give a review for the casino.
Likely and maybe. As far as our concern, it doesn't really matter anymore what they'll do with the bonus or whatever that shall be given to them.
It's only about them and how huge the market is already that they get to hire or have a deal with people that have a huge following in the internet or social media platforms.
8580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'd appreciate some help with my portfolio on: February 28, 2021, 02:46:35 PM
You sell if you are in profit but if you think that portfolio of yours isn't doing good or any of the coins you hold isn't performing well, you can sell it for bitcoins.
The coin that you need to have is bitcoin and if you want another altcoin, I'll add Ethereum or BNB on it.
