8561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What recourse do you have in case of paying by Bitcoin and getting scammed? on: August 05, 2017, 08:18:50 AM
I am curious to know what recourse does anyone have when they look at the advertisement here on the board, pay money using bitcoin either by purchasing on the user's id or transferring using your account and not getting the product?

Would the Bitcoin to intervene if you lodge an official complaint?

If you are talking of this forum then it's very simple use reputed escrow, you could get in touch with yahoo62278 though he's doesn't have a service thread, his reputation is enough. Always remember escrow charges a fee be careful when you deal with one and later don't argue that fees were not informed. Deal with members who have green and look at their post history to get a idea. Whenever in doubt insist on a escrow. Also the correct section for finding a escrow is service section post your requirements there.
8562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase the Bitcoin Dumpster on: August 05, 2017, 06:35:54 AM
I've been trading on Coinbase about 4 years. I sent a Litecoin back in April as a test before sending the rest, and it's still pending on the Coinbase end after 4 months. After several support tickets, and trying to call I gave up on them entirely. It shows up with over 60 thousand confirmations, and they just completely ignore me. I'm not the only one that's had this happen in recent months. They have quickly turned into the worst exchange available. I'd heavily advise against trading with them. If you have an account with them, move it somewhere else, or offline.

This is really bad op. Could you post transactions I'd for all of us to see and find any solution to it. Then I would suggest you to find through the service section there's a guy who gets confirmations done very quickly and he was doing it for free, if that could help your case. I also had a account with them, but with Aug 1st event looming ans reading tales of before, I decided to move out of it. However when I had account with them, I had no problems as such. Did you tweet them to? I hope your issue is resolved soon.
8563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is dead! on: August 04, 2017, 02:06:22 PM
Hello dear forum users.

For a long time I have spontaneous visions.
I can not control it.
And this happens regardless of my thoughts (
Tonight was the next vision.

A small group of well-trained people climbed the snow glacier.
I saw everything with the eyes of one of the people.
The mountains looked like the Himalayas or the Alps.
There was a glacier, and behind it - cold water.
After the blows, the glacier split, the water flowed out, and behind it was a passage.
There was a large room, offices, many computers.
In one room sat a man.
The man whose eyes I saw shouted loudly: "Satoshi Nakamoto!"

Even I myself was very surprised.
The man was of Asian appearance, age more than 40 years, on the face a small neat beard.
He looked very carefully at everyone, pulled out a knife and cut himself a throat!

On his desk lie documents with mathematical formulas. From memory, I can not recreate them (
There were variables: x, y, z....square brackets, degree, integrals.
The man took a small device ... maybe a Tresor.
Then the guards ran out, the noise began and the vision ended.

In the mountains it is good to practice mining, because it is cold there. And to get there is not easy, very good shelter from strangers.
Perhaps these were signs ... that the founder of Bitcoin died, and now a group of people is dealing with him.

I do not drink alcohol, do not take narcotic drugs, everything is fine with my psyche.
I do not know how to express it, but Satoshi's pain and action can not be conveyed.
I did not even think about bitkoyne, since I'm busy with everyday problems and can not write off such a vivid vision for hallucinations.

Hahaha omg Hahaha op oh dear op, please visit a therapist, or take a break from everything and go on a vacation. I believe you are stressed and you have been obsessed with him. It happens when you read a lot, or get to much, I am with game of thrones, I read so much and now I keep seeing visions, every time I see a crow I feel like a three eye Raven, then I feel king in the North and Khaleesi my bae. But this is not reality, don't make a fool of yourself. You need a new pastime.
8564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fuck BitcoinCash on: August 04, 2017, 01:59:58 PM

Only fools were supporting it in the first place, they all jumped the place calling it the new King, saying replacement has come, it barely taken 2 days and you can see the price has instantly fallen. I feel this shall disappear very soon, don't know why the miners did try it only to make a fool of themselves. Bitcoin is the king but yet they don't understand.
8565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you explain Bitcoin or crypto to complete newcomer on: August 04, 2017, 01:57:24 PM
So I've been involved in Bitcoin and crypto for about 5 months now and just about everyone I tell about it being friends and family most have never heard of it or the few that have they have no understanding of it so I was just curious into how others explain it all to total newcomers is their a webpage or video you may show for an easy understanding to explain it all ? Whenever I give my explanation it seems to go way over their head  Roll Eyes Cheers

This has been discussed many times, nevertheless see the best way to explain I would say it's a digital Fiat, sometimes the word crypto currency does not seems. Easy. Then I would suggest you to tell them to make a small investment and see the magic unfold. It's simple it's a digital cash, unregulated, no taxes, free from worldly risks. You can use this cashless system to buy out anything you want and everything. This is simple as it gets.
8566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the future on: August 04, 2017, 08:40:45 AM
Do you think friends, in which year Bitcoin will completely absorb all the finances of the planet's system?BTC

I don't think in any year it shall do that 😄. It's absolutely impossible to do that. Bitcoin is not meant to end the Fiat, but it's meant to supplant it. It is practically impossible to give a exact date as to when that could happen if that would happen. I don't think so, cause the amount of circulation of money out there is way to much for it to happen. It's very difficult to even get a answer for this.
8567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges decision to support Bcash might backfire now and help BTC on: August 04, 2017, 07:25:07 AM
Why would you want to support a new Alt coin, if you know people will only be hyping/pumping the price in the beginning and other people will be dumping it for BTC and Fiat? This will have a significant impact on your bank balance, when you allow trades during this "Pump" period.

Yes, you might get the advantage that new users will join your exchange, because you are the only exchange accepting Bcash trades, but those users will leave once they dumped their Bcash for cash or BTC.

If I were a exchange owner, I would just sit back and wait for other exchanges to take the knock and jump in later when the price is much lower. < Like Coinbase is doing >

It makes no sense to be a early adopter of a coin that are pumped to shit in the early days. ^hmmmmm^

The BTC price will also be less volatile with everyone buying & selling BCC/BCH and not buying & selling BTC.

I have read from various articles that BC is stealing Bitcoins, even if you see electrum wallet warning, it's clearly mentioned it's a risk to claim the coins. I am surprised that exchanges have decided to support this coins, it's a shame. Coinbase.com has so far not extended its support and I hope other exchanges follow suit. I agree with op here, this coin shall not last long, it shall disappear very soon, there is only one king in the crypto world and that is btc.
8568  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin is increase price on: August 04, 2017, 07:02:08 AM
agree??? the price is high this august

Its only about to go high and high. It has touched a high of 3k+ before and it shall touch a high again. Bitcoin Cash shall disappear and only Bitcoins shall stay strong. Though the prices are high, but I was expecting it to go to a high of 3k. So I am hoping it does go high soon enough. I yet feel Bitcoin is cheap and grossly undervalued, it shall soon reach higher so hold on to it.
8569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to BTC, and overwhelmed on: August 03, 2017, 04:52:35 PM
Didn't see an introduction section here.

Bought some bitcoin at an ATM a few days ago.  Currently keeping it in breadwallet.  I have also signed up for bitstamp so maybe I can purchase alt coins online now.

There is so much to learn, and I'm not really sure where to start.  I'm seeing Ripple, Waves, Ethereum, ICO's, etc.  Is there anywhere a newb can go to learn about all of these currencies?  Videos?  (reading sucks lol)

Any good places to watch prices?  I'd like to buy at least $200 of coins per month.

I'm in this to invest over a long period of time.  A friend at work turned me on to all of this.  He is using Exodus on his pc for a wallet.  I used breadwallet because working from my iPhone is easier sometimes.

Anyways, glad to be here and to join this awesome community!

I normally do not like newbie posts, but this is a sincere one, welcome here op. For prices hop onto preev.com, as far your coins store them in electrum wallet, no idea which wallet you stored your coins in. You can buy coins here to but only buy from trusted members, who have lots of green and check their latest posts. Yes Bitcoins is good investment. There lot to learn and ps don't ever post your privates keys anywhere be careful with that.
8570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 03, 2017, 11:23:07 AM
Dhawan making 35 off 37 balls, but KL Rahul's made his sixth successive fifty, Pujara stands by can call a fine start in spin-friendly conditions. Match position 0-1 now! SL will need to change their match planing, to keep alive this series!
Looks like India does have a fragile batting line up,they just lost their third wicket,i used to watch cricket in the early 2000s but lost interest because it consumes a really long time to get to the results which is not suitable for the current day and age as it is difficult to find time .It looks like a spinner friendly wicket and Herath bowling the second over of the match indicates that it will be difficult to bat on in the third and fourth innings.

Good to see Kohli getting out early as he has become overconfident after becoming an captain and his behavior is also against the interest of the team and that is reason legendary player like Kumble has to resign from his job as Kohli's arrogance was intolerable.

As a player I like Kholi, but as a captain, i hate this guy. He doesn't have any respect for senior players. And he thought no one would compete for his position. I think Rahane is the best competitor for captain position I am sure Kohli will lose his captainship. Come to the game India scored 206/3. Except for the captain, all 3 batsmen played well, and Poojara is heading to one more century in this test.
Pujara is growing as one among the best test cricket player. For the Indian cricket team he has fulfilled the place of Rahul Dravid who is the master player in lots of test matches. When it comes to kohli he's quiet arrogant but this is just because of the attachment he has with the game.

India is winning this match hands down, Sri Lanka doesn't seem a formidable force once it was, the great Lanka team suddenly looks so weak and I feel it will be another crushing victory for India, but the form of Virat is a bit worry, kl Rahul could have scored so much more if not for the run out, team India looks a side to beat though it's day one, match seems all but over to me.
8571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alot of Bullshit Predictions Made here for after Fork on: August 03, 2017, 09:51:32 AM
Its always best to never rush into anything.  And always do your own thing, and never listen to predictions.  The amount of bullshit predictions on here about the Fork was unbelievable.  From collapse of Bitcoin to collapse of Bitcoin cash to complete meltdown.  Some of the threads needed to be removed.

Op has a valid point here except I don't agree that bitcoin cash will survive. Prior to August 1st the threads regarding fork were huge and BS honestly, the amount of rumors were way to high which led more and more people confused. I feel there should be a system where only one thread should be made next time something happens and all other threads locked for good. On and op Bitcoin cash will be extinct for sure.
8572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: August 03, 2017, 08:51:02 AM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?

How can you be so ignorant of course Bitcoin is going to survive and only Bitcoins will survive. Bitcoin cash Is not Bitcoin it's a alt and it shall disappear very soon. Bc Is a waste and Mark my words people will really be sad of they buy it, they don't have the majority support, how long do you think they can continue. They will sooner or later disappear.

8574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 02, 2017, 04:08:19 AM
Who will win the Premier League? (Updated 1 August)

Manchester City     @2.80
Chelsea                    @4.00
Manchester United @4.00
Tottenham              @11.00
Arsenal                    @12.00
Liverpool                 @13.00
Everton                    @80.00

Manchester City as last year is the favorite for bookmakers.
There are 6 teams for the title,
Arsenal at quote@12 is very interesting.

Premier League starts on August 11th.
i think that Chelsea and Manchester United are the most favorite in my opinion because they didn't make big changes like City did so that's why i expect from City not to be the first Tittle Contendors . City need more time especially when most of the new players that they bought have no Premier league experience also Manchester City want to get to CL final and that is their primary target this seadon that's why they jave bringed Pep in first place they want to be known worldwide and nothing more then winning the CL will get them the fame and fans.

Chelsea did not make a big change, but I'm still not sure Chelsea can defend the title. I'm sure Manchester united will be the most serious challenger for cehlsea to get the premier league title. I am very confident with their squad that now Manchester United will play very great.

Manchester United has a good team but their defense looks leaky, now with matic in place yes the midfield is covered but I yet feel we could use persic, and a rb or lb. Need two more signings. City is the biggest threat with the kind of defenders they have its mad, and you can't even rule our Chelsea they have a top class players in. I am bit puzzled by Tottenham not to buy any major star, baffles me a lot. Arsenal well I'd they finish in top 4 it will be a miracle.
8575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Total bullshit on bitcoin cash, can't dump it nowhere! on: August 02, 2017, 03:56:58 AM
Kraken down, Bittrex not taking deposits, WTF?

Only reason the price is high, no one can get rid of it!

Hahaha hahaha one more time Hahaha ha In all my posts I was against this. I kept telling all my peers that it's a alt, it's no good and it will disappoint, do not opt for it, stick to btc. But my learned friend and so many on this forum were like, no it shall rise, we will double our money it's best and blah, bcc shall die very soon, if you get a chance dump it and only stick to btc never a alt.
8576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Emergency on: August 01, 2017, 09:35:21 AM
All of exchanges that i am using, closed their bitcoin wallet for deposit and withdrawal. Some of them want to take my BTC and give me BCC instead. This is certainty and they said on news.

BCC's value is 0.1 BTC at now.

What should i do for holding value of my BTCs in dollars?
Some of them hasn't any option for trading BTC/USD.
Should I exchange my BTC with ETH?

Why In the world would you wait till the very last moment, everyone knew this day was coming, so far so good no split but you should have moved your coins to a secure wallet with private keys and then sit back and see the drama unfold, now I don't think transactions will happen quickly or they will even allow it, your best shot would be Ltc though I don't like it. They are alt but bcc is bound to die a quick death maybe Ltc now and then switch to btc and take a secure wallet.
8577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: It Is Now 1st August 00:00 UTC on: August 01, 2017, 06:22:33 AM
As above.

And the big event..... Waiting..... Yet waiting.... Nothing is happening, then I read on some sites it takes place later in the day or it was supposed to take place but It didn't, there way to much confusion as of now and lack of clarity, it is important for all of us to know, so if anyone knows this or can confirm what I feel, that there will be no bcc as the miners who were supporting it decided not to or that it will happen at utc 11? Lot of confusion.
8578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You A Sellout (Or Did You Hodl)? on: August 01, 2017, 06:18:33 AM
With the 1st of August in mind what actions have taken or not with regards to your bags of Bitcoin?

With this particular event in mind, I first decided to move out of coinbase.com, though I never had any problems with the site, but it was way to risky to keep my coins on the site. I decided to ship them to a secure wallet and now going to sit back and watch the drama. Initially was keen on a paper wallet to, but it was to much confusing for me, so I dropped the idea. Now loving the surge.
8579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is the last day panic. on: July 31, 2017, 12:48:24 PM
Today is the last day panic. I buckled the seatbelt and put a cigarette out. Are you ready for takeoff? Tomorrow I expect that bitcoin will start. The goal of 3000-3500 dollars. Next week we will see the first results.

Panic? What panic? Most of this threads if one sees are being created by newbies and Jr members, who can't even read the situation anymore and decide to tell the world that there panic, this are the same people as those who support bcc. Get it op there is no panic whatsoever, bcc will come and go, as for the price even though I assumed it would rise, I feel it's calculated it's rise already so it will be interesting to see if the prices rise.
8580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Swiss bank. What will be the next country? on: July 31, 2017, 11:02:14 AM
Falcon Private Bank has become the first Swiss bank to offer customers bitcoin and crypto asset management services, in cooperation with Bitcoin Suisse AG, an asset manager and financial service provider specializing in crypto-assets. The bank allows customers to buy, hold and sell bitcoin.
In your opinion, in what European country will be the next bank offering Bitcoin?

You should have quoted the link along with the post. Well so does that mean that swizz accounts that can be used to stash illegal money by people allowing it to do this time by using Bitcoins. Well that's nice and there is no doubt this, but I do hope people don't get entangled in a mess, and not use it to hide illegal money, I hope they do proper verification, next country could be UK post brexit I feel.
