it is very easy to teach them and tell them what is cryptocurrency aka Bitcoin and other alternative currency,
give them an example how it works,do not tell them to watch a videos or even read a website/blog or something like that because they will get bored and not intrested to learn it anymore.
for example :
you or your friend/family(or someone that you want to teach them) want to buy something use that as a topic how to use it and how it works.

just remember,if you want to teach them don't tell them but give them an example or try to buy something for them and show them the process

You can find some educational videos of bitcoin on youtube site.  Maybe because if youre the one who tells and explains them about bitcoin youre only making things more complicated for them to understand

This has been discussed many times, nevertheless see the best way to explain I would say it's a digital Fiat, sometimes the word crypto currency does not seems. Easy. Then I would suggest you to tell them to make a small investment and see the magic unfold. It's simple it's a digital cash, unregulated, no taxes, free from worldly risks. You can use this cashless system to buy out anything you want and everything. This is simple as it gets.

Already predictable, it is not easy for us to explain what is Bitcoin and crypto coin in newcomers.
But if i explain that i will try with some videos from youtube because with video maybe they will more easily understand what we explain, plus i will also tell what i know about bitcoin and crypto coins on them, if need i will tell From the root.  Wink

,it is never that easy to explain on someone regarding this matters, but you need to further explain to him/her how does it work, answer all the questions they are going to throw on you. As i have experienced, you need to tell him fully detailed about bitcoin, basic and so many other stuff, before you tell him how to earn. Right now newcommers doesn't listen to basic, and the first thing they might ask was, how to earn? Or where to earn? Or even how much did you earn? Basically that are the basic questions I have always heard.

Do not bother explaining bitcoin to others if you yourself do not have enough knowledge about the ins and outs of bitcoin. They will just ask you questions that you will not be able to answer and instead of getting them to join bitcoin, you'll just drive them away. Have enough knowledge about bitcoin and you will be talking it to them that is easy to understand.

When I'm explaining Bitcoin to a person that heard it the first time, I always tell him to do research about it. The meaning of Bitcoin, the origin and its purpose then I'll tell him to ask me if ever there are questions that he don't understands. I also tell him to avoid investment sites for the meantime because he doesn't fully understand it and there are lots of scam sites.

What I tell people: it's basically internet 2.0, everything we know and use will be run on blockchain in the future. This internet of things which people always hype will be run on a blockchain. If you don't understand the really technical things behind it just tell them what the possibilities are with it.

My friends and relatives are like that, when  talk about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, they are all surprised and do not know what it is but they are interested in it. I explained, instructed them and now they know a bit. I think you should first simplify things, explain the easiest for them, tell them Bitcoin is a coin, it works on the internet, is the currency of technology, it is as valid as other currencies. You have to go with them, attract them otherwise they will be very discouraged and abandon the intention to learn about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

At first, it was hard for me to explain to my friends and family about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. It's sometimes hard at first because the idea of a digital currency found in the internet is unfathomable for some. Their initial reactions would be that it is not true and that it does not exist simply because it is found online. They have this notion because a online scams are rampant these days. I guess the best way would be to show them actual proof of its usage, its advantages and benefits.

Actually, I just experienced this a while ago that I explain or share this bitcoin to my collegues, so this is what happened, I ask them, do you know what is bitcoin? have you heard this before? then their mind blowed up because I tell them too that this thing makes my life so easy and at ease. So I let them watch some videos at youtube because it is more informational than the way you can inform, then after  I show them my account where I store my coin. So from that they had the urge to learn on how they can earn that too.

I believe someone who has just sumbled on this site without having knowledge in Bitcoins will not be interested to register. I am pretty sure they were informed already like me and bitcoin  already is not something unfamilliar to them. Maybe not totally knowledgeable about it but i'm sure they've heared about it already. When i first  got in to this site, i was quite confused so i did nothing but read and read and read the topics being talked about in this forum. So all i can say is. As time goes by, just by reading and interacting with others in this forum you will come to know more and more about bitcoin.

Teeling about cryptocurrency to newcommers seems to be interesting. I have told many such newbies about cryptocurrency and have influenced them to use cryptos. Just tell them the profits and the importance of cryptocurrency. Also try to mention about free crypto and mining. It seems more interesting to the newbies and they are surely attracted to it.

I would follow the same way which my friend used to explain me about the concept of bitcoin.First i would ask him to watch the you tube video"The Rise & Rise of Bitcoin".It would give them a clear idea of what bitcoin is.Then i would ask them to just read the basic topics in bitcointalk.org.Then i would show them practically how to download a wallet and how to send and receive bitcoins and how to earn bitcoins by trading or by working in signature campaigns obviously.

Try telling them about how to earn bitcoins. It definitely attractes many users as free money values a lot in everyone's life. Even you can tell them to open a account in Unocoin so that they can get some bitcoins for free there. I always tell them from small profits like various faucets, etc. Faucets also attracts many users to claim their bitcoins and get started to the bitcoiners field. Even i started from faucets at the beginning.

There are heaps of youtube videos on the subject of Bitcoin and a lot of them explain Bitcoin super well, try to find one with heaps of graphics for them to understand the blockchain and how everything works. Youtube can solve a lot of your problems Smiley

After they start understanding how bitcoin works, maybe give them a bit to play with, say 0.01 BTC. If they are into gaming, teach them how Bitcoin can be used to buy them and for trading items in them. Otherwise, show them a couple of stores that accept Bitcoin and help them make their first payment.

The thing about bitcoin and cryptocurencies is that they are easy to understand, so explainng the basic thing for someone who never knew what they are is a pretty strate forward thing, just to give them a general idea and to get them started on it, and the rest they will learn over time as theu progress through it, just like we did.
