861  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTB) Any mining cards that are cheeeeeap... on: October 10, 2011, 09:59:59 PM
Oh dear god.. they are getting smarter, soon they'll learn how to open doors o.O
862  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: WHy do people only buy ATIcards when NVIDA is somuch better? on: October 10, 2011, 12:17:23 PM
CPU bug still present in all versions up to latest 11.9. Dumb lazy AMD developers did not bother to fix it. Don't even try and say that ATI drivers > Nvidia drivers ! ATI cards always lose on benchmarks because of shit drivers while Nvidia always has got optimized drivers etc. so better performance.

A new driver every 10 days that may burn your card (three driver versions did that) or performs sub-optimally in some games vs a new tested driver every month + some 'hotfixes' to get optimizations for some games before it's added to the final release.

Seriously, I bet you are one of those that say that a Nvidia GTX 460 is faster than a Radeon HD 6990 because 'hurr, the AMD card doesn't have any drivers'..

But ye, as you said;
Bug in AMD drivers = The AMD devs are too stupid or too lazy so they can't get it fixed.
Bug in NVIDIA drivers = The devs are working around the clock to find the best fix for it. They patched it within 10 sec of finding it ofcourse but they are just looking for the optimal way of doing it. Because they are the best.

Everyone want's the little guy to succeed including me, but the hard truth is Intel could buy AMD 10 times over if it was allowed to by the government, that's how far behind technology wise AMD is now... They are a mess, their new Bulldozer chips bench 100mhz faster than 2 year old sandy bridge chips  Roll Eyes

Bulldozer will find it's way in between the i5 2500 and i7 2600 and thus be placed in the upper tier of gaming oriented CPUs so just where AMD aims their products (No you don't need a i7 hexacore to play games). While it's indeed a bit late they made a processor on a new architecture that will lead the way for upcoming generations, not to mention that a new architecture takes time to develop and delays are unavoidable. Also, the FX series overclock like crazy with a pretty low price.

Not sure how that found it's way in in a NVIDIA vs. AMD thread but ye, Intel will probably always be better though they wont beat AMD at price/performance :3

868  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 2 radeon 5970's with waterblocks fitted new price £710 on: October 03, 2011, 06:09:53 PM

@casascius

Any chance of having one of those sent to Sweden? =P
870  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: PCI SLOT on: October 01, 2011, 02:22:15 PM
PCI to PCI-E adaptors are available, I got some from Ebay but they really cost a bomb, it may be more cost effective to get a 2nd hand motherboard with a PCI-E 16x

I bought mine for 20$ from China via Ebay, took like a week to get it though..
871  Economy / Goods / Re: fs motherboard, cpu, corsair ax1200 and ax850 powersupplys , memory (updated) on: October 01, 2011, 02:17:00 PM
What would the shipping to Sweden cost for the 1200W PSU?
872  Economy / Services / Re: Powerleveling in WoW on: September 29, 2011, 08:07:25 PM
So..

Your way:
Takes a few weeks
Costs 777$

A bot:
Takes a week
Costs 15$ a month
Can make money while you sleep for three weeks after it has leveled 85
Can skill up your professions
Can farm battlegrounds

I'll sell my account with 2 85s, 3 80's for less than what you want for leveling one character to 85..
873  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 5x 5850's [4 left] on: September 29, 2011, 07:31:34 AM
PM sent about the Gigabyte HD 5850 :3
874  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling Bitcoin Domains: 'Bitcoin' in all domains! on: September 29, 2011, 07:28:15 AM
Just have to love these kids that register half a million domains and then expects everyone to pay premium just to have one keyword in it..
875  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: PCI SLOT on: September 29, 2011, 07:25:53 AM
Ye, I bought a PCI->PCIe x16 raiser a long time ago and there was no problems at all other than physical stability..

Though, I lost 5Mhash due to latency but I guess most modern BIOS can fine tune that.. (was using a 7 year old MoBo just to show that it worked)
876  Economy / Goods / Re: 2x 5850 - 140 each on: September 29, 2011, 07:05:14 AM
PM sent about the sapphire one.

FYI, powercolor cards are really crappy in my experience. Bought one new a few months ago and even at as little as 100mhz core overclock I started getting openCL errors every 30 sec and the temps were like 80C.
So after roughly two weeks it crapped out on me and my system wouldn't start if the cards was present.. oh well, that's what warranty is for :3
877  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling mining rigs, 10x 5850s, more on: September 28, 2011, 10:29:19 PM
Could you post a link/picture(s) of the asus and gigabyte cards?

Interested in two 5850's shipped to Sweden :3

Is there any chance of adding PayPal as a withdrawal option? I don't know too much about Paypal but I doubt you can scam the sender..
