A new privacy coin that I think has the potential to become a top 100 coin on Coinmarketcap is DarkPayCoin. They are a MN/PoS coin that has been concentrating on building up a large node network. It is not so much whether regulation is good or bad but that the lack of clarity on what the rules are that is creating uncertainty and keeping institutional money largely on the sidelines. I think some regulation is going to be inevitable I would just like those that are tasked with doing it to get on with the job so people can invest with at least the confidence that their investment will not disappear from some rules violation.

It all depends on the individual company. Some ideas have the potential to become huge and some are never going to grow beyond a small niche. Right now the cryptomarket is dealing with the trough after a very large peak and is oversold. So trying to make pronouncements about all ICO's at all times is foolish if you are basing it on current circumstances. There is however a great opportunity right now to buy the coins of really good projects for much less than their book value.

I never set it up , but I send some coins to my friend and he set it up . Good thing , every day u get some amount of coins bcs u own higher amount of same coin(every coin have their ''rules'' which tells u how much coins u need to start MN), but it's very risky bcs there are lot of scams now , try to explore coin in which u invest , roi , team ... Dash and Gobyte are good coins for MN(masternode)

People asked themselves the same thing in 2000 after the dotcom crash. The smart ones understood the difference between hype and reality and that markets often overreact with too much optimism followed by too much pessimism. Blockchain is going mainstream. Mainstreaming is a process not a destination. The technology continues to evolve and many applications are being built on the back of it. Blockchain will slowly become ubiquitous with everyone using it with out even knowing that they are. Like all technology it will become more mainstream as it disappears into the background.

Usually I am very good at sniffing out scams and seperating the winners from the losers. But I did invest in one ICO that turned into a full blown "run away with all the money" scam. That was Hashcard. They did a fantastic job of creating fake identities even travelling to cryptocurrency events and taking pictures of themselves attending. The only mistake they made when presenting their project was using a mastercard logo that mastercard had already stopped using. Unfortunately no one saw that mistake until they were long gone with everyones money. Luckily, I only invested a very small amount.

The first coin you should own is ETH. It has a stronger use case than any other coin and has more developers working on projects being built on the Ethereum blockchain than all the other coins and blockchains put together, including Bitcoin. As you learn more about cryptocurrency markets and develope the ability to seperate the winners from the losers then you can start looking at ICO's to invest some of your Ethereum in.

By far the biggest factor affecting if the project will turn out to be a scam is the people behind the project. As a general rule I will not work on any project where I am not able to confirm the identity of the people behind the project. Even then you need to accept the fact that you are investing in startups and even with honest and well intentioned people behind them the majority of them will fail. You just have to make sure you manage to invest in the ones that become huge successes to offset the losses on the failures.

In answer to your original question "Is HODling Safe To Do While The Market Continues To Get Battered", not if you think it will fall significantly from here. I however believe we have reached a bottom for the overall market and expect that prices will rise from here. I don't think we will see the kind of market we saw last year and I think the rise will be a lot slower and over a longer period of time. As a General rule I will HODL until I think a coin has become overvalued or if I lose confidence in the team behind the project.

Monero and SpectreCoin seem to be the favourites but I voted for one that is not on the list. The one I think should be included in any discussion of the future of Privacy Coins is DarkPayCoin.
