862  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should fear a cashless world on: January 07, 2018, 08:03:49 AM
most of the world does not have a computer ,or internet access, or a desire to use a compuiter, or a desire to not use paper money. There are even people who could use a computer but dont because they dont want to be exposed to an electromagnetic field. It's also a big privacy violation because as we know bitcoin isn't anonymous at all. Getting rid of things in society in favor of things that are dependent on computers and the internet is a very dangerous trend that I'm disappointed of how far it's gotten already. Like I went to the drive through and they couldnt serve me because the computer was down. I had cash ready, and they had food ready, but we all had to starve because the computer was down.

Next fork called Bitcoin Fix, because it fixes all of bitcoin's problems AND is the best fork to use to buy drugs and get your fix.

Possible "dividend" shit forks for hodlers, what a list...

Lets not call them dividends because you have to pay taxes on those.
868  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: January 06, 2018, 01:04:14 PM
Bitcoin has nothing to do with saving or teaching people about money. It is strictly a casino investment scheme (a very successful one)

I want to hear more affectionate names for Bitcoin Core like 'seg shit cripple corn'
870  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: January 06, 2018, 10:36:34 AM
You cant replace the dollar. Dollars have 0 transaction fees, transact instantly, dont leave records, and work offline with a network, a blockchain, a computer, or a wallet. They also function as a highly stable unit of accounting for commerce/industry. 99% of current bitcoin users actually just want more dollars.
871  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see Bitcoin fall in 2018? on: January 06, 2018, 10:34:14 AM
There will definitely be a massive drop in 2018 due to market corrective forces and the natural cycle of bitcoin but i cant say where it will start or end.
872  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to the banks if people uses cryptocurrencies more than fiat? on: January 06, 2018, 10:32:09 AM
The banks could act as wallet services to hold people's crypto and then use the account value to print more fiat.
873  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: January 06, 2018, 10:27:41 AM
Its going to be really hard for the new rich to relate to the old rich

"I just made a million dollars this year holding Apple"

"I just made a million dollars in the past hour trading a shitcoin"
874  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to the banks if people uses cryptocurrencies more than fiat? on: January 06, 2018, 10:18:33 AM
they will adopt crypto, become dealers, release shitty derivatives, and release fake coins, and claw back their business using the trust the 99% of people already have in banks and the media. If that doesnt work then they will get the politicians they control to ban crypto.
875  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: January 06, 2018, 10:15:51 AM
Well it's hard to put a ranking on each wrong decision. Every day you look at altcoin and dont buy it and then a couple weeks later it has risen 10,000%. If I made all the right moves or even a few of them id be a multi billionaire by now.
876  Economy / Economics / Re: Why did you choose bitcoin? on: January 06, 2018, 09:47:46 AM
because screw ethereum
877  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: January 06, 2018, 09:45:22 AM
its very simply you buy on a high volume drop where the volume is the highest its been in weeks or months
878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2018, 09:25:16 AM
I'm pretty sure Zuckerberg means using a p2p network to solve server bandwidth or privacy issues and nothing to do with actually using bitcoins or crypto currencies on facebook.
879  Economy / Economics / Re: Your bitcoin experience, how did it started? on: January 06, 2018, 09:01:18 AM
It all started at a music festival... In 2012 someone told me about the underground drug market, and out of curiosity I just had to check it out to see if it was real. While there what stood out more to me than the drugs was these units that the drugs were being transacted in and how rapidly the prices were changing. So I learned about bitcoin. As a software engineer, I was fascinated. The thought of the drug market was completely gone and I just had to learn all about how this technology worked. On top of that I looked at the chart and was fascinated by the volatility and the volume (even in 2013). As a previous penny stock trader, this looked like a gold mine compared to penny stocks. I also was amazed at how there were multiple exchanges with completely different prices and my immediate thought was to arbitrage them. So in 2013 I began a dual operation of building litecoin/altcoin GPU miners and doing arbitrage trading. The mining operation didnt last long because my landlord was freaked about about the electricity usage even though I was paying for it. Also, I soon learned that the fiat channels in arbitrage were too difficult so that left me with daytrading. I never wanted to daytrade but I was already in so I might as well. During the early 2013 crash I increased my coin stash by 2000% in a matter of weeks with daytrading litecoin. With those kind of profits I became stuck to the crypto trading world forever.

The real challenge is to withdraw your million+taxes , pay your taxes, pay your estimated taxes for next year, keep a significant investment in bitcoin + trading stash, and STILL have a million dollars left over withdrawn in your bank account. Thats all going to take at least 2 million, maybe 3
