865  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: No overcurrent using 6x 7950 and Lepa G1600 on: February 10, 2014, 02:22:36 PM
Some people say you can't use a LEPA 1600 with 6 cards wihtout overcurrenting the rails. I think using undervolted 7950's it works. Here's what i figuered out:

1x 7950 @ 1.094V / Core@1100 / Memclock@1250 draws 230W

Here's the LEPA's rail layout:

12v1=20A = Motherboard ONLY
12v2=20A = CPU ONLY

12v3=max. 30A = 4x PCIe
12v4=max. 30A = 2x PCIe
12v5=max. 30A = 4x PCIe
12v6=max. 30A = 2x PCIe

Sata/Molex get their 12v power from 12v4 and 12v6.

First of all you attach a 7950 to rails 3-6 by using the PCIe-plugs. That way these rails draw 19A which leaves 11A headroom.
Cards 5 and 6 could then be split by using either one of the red PSU's PCIe-plugs and/or one PCIe to Molex converter.

So now here's what is drawn through rails 3-6 with a six card setup when using the setup mentioned above:

12v3 = card 1 and 1/2 card 5 = 345W = 28.75A
12v4 = card 2 and 1/2 card 5 = 345W = 28.75A
12v5=  card 3 and 1/2 card 6 = 345W = 28.75A
12v6=  card 4 and 1/2 card 6 = 345W = 28.75A

Makes a total wattage of 1440W. I reserved 60W for peripharels, CPU etc. The load on rails 3-6 should be even lower since power is also drawn through the PCIe-slots so that 6x25W is drawn through rail 1 I suppose. I admit that you would be running rails 3-6 at nearly full load so be careful.

Who agrees? Who does not?

Agree, 7950 draws really low power anyway..

'This transaction is over the size limit. Blah blah blah, um bum blady blah. The fee is about a dollar. Would you like to pay us a dollar to make this transaction?'

Here are the well thought out choices.

'Yes' and 'Cancel'.

Seems to me there's an option missing right there.

You have to do some trick but I would recommend you not to, it will take really long to send the coins...
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: URGENT!!! Bitcoin 0.8.5 NOT SYNCRONISING!!! on: November 24, 2013, 01:39:27 PM
Can anyone tell me is Bitcoin QT 4.8.3 the same as 0.8.5? When I was told I should update my wallet I downloaded the latest 0.8.5 from Bitcoin.org, when I run it and check in the "about qt" section it tells me that it is version 4.8.3. When I check about bitcoin it says it is 0.8.5. Also I have a wallet on a computer that has been running 24 hours a day for weeks. It has a wallet on there that has been up to date for some time, today when I checked it it tells me it is 23 hours behind and it doesn't appear to be updating despite having 8 nodes connected.

At the top it has this written "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade."

Can anyone tell me if this is a new issue of suggest any trouble shooting methods to get syncing to happen again? I'm running windows 7 ultimate with Microsoft Security Essentials and have made an acceptation in the firewall as well as excluding Bitcoin from the checked processes

I've backed up my bitcoin wallet

Thanks

Edit 2 hours later,

I"m effing scared, WTF is happening... now it's 26 hours behind and seems to be stuck at block 270914. It's telling me it's synchronizing and has 8 active connections but this is the same block it was on 2 hours ago!?!?! would someone PLEASE take a look at this.

(I swear when I come across problems like this I wonder if Mr Andreson and his team of "Experts" are trying to ruin BTC from within. This is exactly the problem that the download was supposed to solve)

I have several PC's and have tried downloading the latest version from bitcoin.org on another computer. It says it's version 0.8.5 but when I run it and check in the "about" section i find that it is still version 4.8.3

This is a fresh installation on a computer that's never had a wallet.

The wallet keeps seems to be updating the block chain ok but then periodically just closes itself.

I don't want to shout about these problems, I like the high prices we are seeing right now, but I'm pretty disappointed in the so call "leadership" Gavin and all the bootlickers suck

Edit 12 hours later

I'm now 36 hours behind and still no signs of catching up despite having connections to 8 peers

Happened to me once, its because my bitcoin-qt wallet got corrupted...
876  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox are criminals on: November 24, 2013, 01:35:11 PM
and they should be treated as such.

They just told me i can not get any of my bitcoins unless I get verified (coins they gladly took without verification), which in absolutely impossible for me, as I live on-the=road and off-the-grid.

So, they changed their rules, without notification, and now that have my coins... forever.

How many other people are having to deal with this bullshit from MtGox?

Personally, i do not believe them... I think they are just making a grab for a bunch of bitcoins that they know many people will never be able to get again, thanks to their new Orwellian policies.

Stay away from MtGox, and spread the word.

I dont understand, why can't you just give your information and get verified?
