861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to transfer from paper wallet on: November 24, 2015, 12:31:27 AM
You mean scanning that strange square thingy? I don't have it, it's a pen and paper wallet. Just the public key and the private key.

In that case you'll have to manually type the private key. Just make sure to sweep it rather than importing it, and don't use that address again. It's much more secure that way.

What wallet do you have or plan to use? Several wallets have the option to sweep it. If you don't decide which one yet I recommend you Electrum. There you just have to go to Wallet > Private keys > Sweep. Then manually type your private key and you're done.

Thank you. Btw, what is the difference between import and sweep?

Importing the key means it's attached to your wallet. It becomes one more address which the wallet can use and its private key is permanently stored there.
Sweeping the key means creating a TX that spends everything from your 'paper' address into any address already present on your wallet.

Sweeping is preferred basically for 2 reasons:
- Your 'paper' address' private key was already stored somewhere and you typed it. As a result there's a small chance it was compromised in the process (key logger, malware). Therefore you shouldn't use it again and sweeping allows you that.
- Most wallets are now HD so a single backup holds every address, even those not used yet. If you import the address it wouldn't be on the HD backup and you could eventually lose it.

People with negative trust are abused frequently on this forum. I have PTSD from being told to commit suicide over a simple mistake at a rally. I got punched in the face.

While this is terrible if true, I liken your first sentence followed by your second sentence to the students at Yale who are protesting the Yale administrators for not "creating a safe space" for them, believing that only they have right, etc. People have a right to leave you negative trust, I wouldn't say that if you have negative trust you are exactly "abused", just that people won't trade with you. It's nothing like what you're making it out to be, as if people should stop leaving negative trust.
You do make a valid point. I never really had a good grip with handling internet criticism well (part of my condition). People do have the right to leave feedback and again the whole ordeal really triggered me. If anything else, I had a strong negetive reaction, and I guess I am just posting this as a form of venting. I want to apologize. I am sorry for the miscommunication.

Indeed you're overreacting. Leaving a neutral (not negative) feedback because you were trying to buy trust is not an abuse and of course I don't mean to remind you of anything that happened to you in the past (which I don't know whether is true).

You apologize here for the miscommunication and your reaction however you still blame me for things completely unrelated to leaving neutral trust on more than one thread,  via PM, on my profile. Try to take things as they are, nobody is attacking or abusing you, and you shouldn't make false accusations either.

869  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SulphurXX (scammer)= n3o111 on: November 21, 2015, 11:15:22 PM
I don't know what you are talking about. I'm not SulphurXX. Please remove your negative trust ratings.
I don't have any control over that address.

Then why did you post that address and then deleted it after this accusation was created? The fact you did that and now lie shamelessly just confirms it. I was waiting for your explanation but a simple lie doesn't help you.

Too bad for you just deleting your post isn't enough:

Edit: Someone I trust has confirmed this account was bought. I've removed my feedback.

871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CAPT] CAPTcoin on: November 20, 2015, 08:31:56 PM
Can anyone upload a bootstrap somewhere, I have a customer who has requested a CAPTcoin wallet for the StakeBox, you can learn more about it at StakeBox.com. I have the wallet compiled, but it has been syncing for about a week, it keeps getting stuck, so I restart it, rinse, repeat. A bootstrap would be great. Thanks.
Do you know how do it?? I'll help you if I can..

You just need to copy the file blkXXXX.dat and rename it as bootstrap.dat. Here's a full guide I wrote:

872  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SulphurXX (scammer)= n3o111 on: November 19, 2015, 11:21:46 PM
Flagged. I've also left a negative feedback on jokucoin's profile.
He asked for a loan on the same thread using the same address and he repaid it using his alt SulphurXX.
873  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB want buy bitcoins for 250 USD paypal on: November 19, 2015, 04:09:55 PM
Hi.  You are willing to send first and then wait 190 days for me to send you the btc?  Let me know

thanks reply

well I can accept holding time but only via escrow

so just add your btc funds in localbitcoins.com escrow system and provide me link to send you trade request and then your btc funds will held in lbc website escrow and you no need released back me funds until full 180 days passed

okay?

if you not ok as above then I can send you first small amount 5 usd each time and you pay back instantly as its too low amount

so what you say???

So that it's clear for everyone what you're proposing is:
  • The buyer deposits to localbitcoins
  • The trade initiates and you send your PayPal funds
  • The buyer doesn't release because he's "holding" for 180 days
  • You contact localbitcoins saying that you already sent the PayPal funds and send proof of that
  • Localbitcoins sees that and releases the coins that are on escrow
  • You withdraw the coins
  • You reverse the PayPal payment
This sounds like a great deal for you!

Will you let a very trusted user of this forum to act as escrow and hold your BTC for 180 days?

Edit: I see you answered no (along with insults and nonsense). So it's confirmed you're trying to fake a sense of security.

Do not deal with OP.
874  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan 200$ on: November 19, 2015, 03:37:46 PM
Hi,need loan 200$.I have pension funds stable, getting one day in month.Pension is 225$.May pay back in 25 november.

Read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.0
If you don't either close your thread or offer valid collateral worth more than the loan plus interests you will receive negative trust in a few minutes.

Edit: I see this is not your first unsecured loan request so you know what you're doing. You've already had your warn.
875  Local / Primeros pasos y ayuda / Re: Revertir una transaccion. on: November 19, 2015, 12:40:00 PM

No te recomiendo hacerla.

876  Economy / Lending / Re: Someone could lend me 0.345 BTC for just 1 Hour? on: November 19, 2015, 12:27:40 PM
Yes, I'm a newbie. Yes , i've neg trust (but only because i require) . No, I haven't collateral.
Then, if you someone would Know more contact me ibn PM. I refund this at 100% in 1 hour (ancd i could probe what i say and how).

No, you don't have negative trust because you "require" it. You have it because you tried to get an unsecured investment, very similar to this no-collateral loan.

Just in case it's not clear do not deal with OP in any way.
877  Economy / Lending / Re: Existing btcjammers - I am 1% away (0.37 BTC) from funding but the BPI is down: on: November 19, 2015, 11:36:26 AM
No matter how you call it you're asking for a loan without collateral here at bitcointalk. Therefore you should move it to Lending (or it will be moved) and you must comply rules here including this:

878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your bitcoins ? on: November 19, 2015, 01:12:48 AM
I have safely stored about 90-95% of my bitcoins on a deck of cards for over a year now.
I keep the rest on my mobile (Coinomi) and desktop (Electrum) for daily use.

Is there a Buy it now option for only one/some of the temporarily reserved domain names?
I am interested in some of them.

The domains listed here won't be available individually unless there are no bids. If that happens they will be available here after 2015-11-25:
