Hamilton make a very fast Qualy time, Verstappen have no luck in bis last round and turn. Ferrari looks slower than last weekend. Tomorrow are dry track so looks interesting for the race.

Sky's commentator they were talking about a full dry setup for a Ferrari because they think "Ferrari already know they suck so they may have done the setup only for the race to get a big advantage while other they have done the setup for the wet track too"

Hamilton is a god with the rain and Verstappen is close to him.

It is a real possibility since both Ferrrari's looked a bit too slow if you ask me. Yes they lack a lot of everything, straight speed, aero, but I think the gap was a bit much for my taste to be just the skill and the car, so dry setup could be a solid explanation for quali performance.

It will be another crazy race by the looks of it and I can't wait for it to start. This might be one really interesting season after all despite Merc domination as midfield is getting so tightly packed.

Good post and I believe this will help quite a number of users new to ETH. I use those tools also and I consider them common knowledge, but after seeing your post I realized that probably a lot of newbies have no idea about Gas station and similar tools that can save them money and time.

Lots of new crypto users tend to play blockchain games and use metamask to make actions in the game and loose quite a lot of funds by going automatic without any knowledge about gas intricacies.

I think he should choose to go to a weaker team and just change ambient. He should show his skills with a weaker team and that will be a kind of personal comeback and if he shows good results with this team probably someone of the big teams may think to get him.If he quit for a year maybe he will not be as competitive as he is now.

The issues is that he is not competitive now either. I don't question his motivation as he is one of the rare normal guys on the grid that just wants to race without PR bullshit around it, but he is making quite a lot of mistakes in last years and Ferrari is not in the good shape because of the engine issues this season and it seems that will continue throughout the entire season unless they manage to somehow minimize that with some updates.

Taking all written above into consideration it might be better to take one year of, recharge batteries, restore yourself and inner fire and then come back again with hunger if there is enough fuel in the tank left to go through that process.

All of us humans sometime need time to reinvent and reinforce ourselves, discover a new identity with new set of values, F1 drivers are no exceptions.
864  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you obtain your first BTC / satoshis? on: July 10, 2020, 11:56:21 PM
My friend told me about BTC in 2016. I was working and living abroad in Ireland and I was blessed to be able to work from home for Apple. So I had a lot of time to spare.

I didn't react, because I had no knowledge about it prior so I brushed it of. Few months later I was laying in bed with fever for Christmas and could barely get up, so I started reading about BTC and crypto in general.

This turned into a hyperfocus rabbit hole and I was spending my days sleeping and reading about BTC and crypto in general like a madman and my reality turned into being a crypto spoonge.

After a week I was a bit better so I discovered mining and was obsessed trying to understand how it works and since I didn't really understand a lot I decided to try to mine some BTC. After less then a day I learned that I can't mine BTC on my laptop Sad

I started to look for alternative so I can at least see how mining works so friend told me to try to mine ETH. I didn't know much about it, but I followed some people, ended in XVG community lol, learned about XVG and started mining XVG. My ASUS was burning with 80 degrees, I wasn't really mining anything significant, but hey I was looking at numbers, processes, my dear poor Asus temps and it was very exciting.

While I was mining for 5-6 days non-stop and learning the process I managed to mine some XVG and learn tons of new information , but got scared that I will ruin my Asus so with sadness in my young crypto soul, I stopped mining operations and my Asus cried with tears of joy  Grin

After my month long madness I was sober again and I knew I can only buy BTC, only way to get it. At that moment my friend ask me would I be willing to moderate Telegram for some crypto project, they pay in BTC.

I didn't know what Telegram was, but since I was working as tech support I immediately accepted, jumped in and rest is history.

I'm still working from home, but not for Apple anymore, I work for myself with few of my friends Cheesy
865  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip! on: July 10, 2020, 11:35:54 PM
I’m constantly buying when I’m able to. In a few years the current price will seem like a joke. Anybody who isn’t buying now will majorly regret it.

A lot of people were saying the same thing when the price was in the $10-20k range, and look where the price is now. There's no telling how long this bear market (we're still in one) is going to last; just as a reminder, the previous one lasted for two and a half years.

I believe we won't see more then 13-15% decline in price in the next month and a half, if you look at price historically summer is always extremely slow and this is probably the best time to risk and flip some altcoins. Dominance is in decline last 3-4 weeks and it seems it will keep on going down so I presume best time to bu again would be September, but Covid should be kept in mind as many expect second wave in September so that could change the market significantly.
866  Economy / Speculation / Re: Miner's Strike! on: July 10, 2020, 11:28:11 PM
If you look at BTC historically we should expect this lull to continue through August and to at least mid September. With most likely going down slowly to 8k, 7k at most, not expecting to lose more then 20% of the current value, most likely numbers will be closer to 13-15%.

After that Covid second wave can be a factor and cause some disruption with further flash decline and recovery, but I think personally that Ocotber will be the beginning of bull, slowly rising to 9k-10k values again, breaking 10k-11,500 in November and rallying towards 17k in December, Jaunary.

After that I'm not sure if we are gonna range or continue and reach new ATH.

Of course I don't know shit, but this is my prediction in general.
867  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: July 10, 2020, 11:14:34 PM
I will share 3 posts from Croatian board if that is allowed, since we have situations where we have posts that deserve merits, but none of us has enough merits to reward those posts as we are lacking merit sources at the moment. We are falling short on only 2 merit sources and lots of good users and quite an active community , so hopefully this topic can be of help a bit.

Make sure to tell your 4-post 2-year veteran "friend" that it is not allowed to post with other accounts after being banned.

I wouldn't mind if "4-post 2-year veteran" became an official rank here, lots of newbies would be very lucky to have a rank specially designated for them  Grin

I watched Masvidal short interview before fight, and he looked very sharp and ready.

I believe Masvidal will win, it will most likely be a long, tough fight, but Masvidal looks like a guy with great mindset, he goes out to fight and he is not scared to take and give. He looks like a person that enjoys beating people and taking the beating also Cheesy

BREAKING NEWS!
Alonso is going to race and return back to the F1 in 2021.
He is going to race for Renault. This sounds very interesting!

Could be good for F1 I guess...  But I think getting some new faces and talents in is a better idea imho.

Anyway what's next for Vettel?  I could see him pair up with Verstappen and Hamilton.  Both Albon and Bottas look despensible.

Mercedes were clear on their view on Bottas. He will stay with the team and I think he started the Championship with the right foot this year by getting a win in the first race.Vettel lately is doing a lot of errors which is why he is not offered a new contract from Ferrari.Alonso is a great driver but the age is not in his favor so I don’t expect anything from him next year except a podium as a maximum achievement.

Mercedes have a good team, Hamilton as #1 and Bottas as good an "thank you" sing man the also can win. Never change a running and good system i think. For Mercedes no reason and i think Bottas cheaper than Vettel. Mercedes lern from the #1 pair Hamilton/Rosberg

Quote

It is mainly good for Alonso itself... Guess he needs some extra cash, as with his Renault car, he will never be able to claim a top spot in any race.
The return of Alonso means one spot less for a young talent, who don't have the network or cash to claim the spot.

I believe that we all are on the same page, that Alonso return is nothing to be excited about because he’s not young anymore, and I may just cheer for him because of sentimental reasons, but realistically I’m not expecting him to win any races. Furthermore Vettle has openly declared that he may walk out of F1 if he doesn’t get a lucrative contract, so do you’ll believe that he will actually walk away from F1?, or it’s just his ploy to get a lucrative contract from one of the rival teams?.

Source:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/auto-racing/vettel-could-walk-away-from-f1-for-good-without-right-offer/2020/07/02/c4b8be72-bc80-11ea-97c1-6cf116ffe26c_story.html

I truly believe Vettel will leave F1 for 1 season at least if he does not perform like a beast this season, even though that might not be enough. Driver spots are almost consolidated and I don't see spots open in any major team, which is why I believe he will take 1 year break. I don't see Vettel signing for any of the teams like Haas, Williams or Alfa Romeo...

Or last year's accusations regarding the engine are correct and the engine don't have so many horse power bevor the accusatuions?

I doubt it, other teams were not using the same technology but with the new engine, they are slower than the past year too.
Everything can be but Ferrari should be slow only cause bad aerodynamic not for the engine, let see tomorrow and next week.

For a time ago i post a article that Ferrari works on an engine update,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1393430.msg54642410#msg54642410

but i don't know whether this update has already been used? Also Ferrari says the development going in the past in a wrong way at the aerodynamic thats correct. Alfa Romeo have more speed at the straightness than Ferrari. So this weekend wee will see.

As far as I know big updates should come on Hungaroring race, not before.I presume this is related to anything that has to do with engine upgrades and performance.

Great catch there, OP! I hope you continue monitoring your group members’ posts with possible scams and sharing it here in the scam accusations board. You will never know when someone would google search for a particular website and could end up here. Who knows, right?

Anyway, is It a public group that you have? You should verify your members as well if they are real or not. It depends on what group you have, too, though.

Thanks. I monitor the groups daily and ban people that share stuff like this, report it here exactly because of those reasons you mentioned.Maybe someone will search before "investing" and save themselves that way from loses.

Regarding members I had a bot with captcha to prevent bots from joining, but that way lots of real people get confused and miss the window too verify they are human, so I removed it and I'm back to manual to at least have some kind of organic growth.

878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 09, 2020, 09:34:36 PM
That was never a penalty, I just read Man Utd have had 13 penalties in the PL this season, that’s ridiculous.
They’re still shit though, mind the gap Wink

I'm a Man Utd fan, but that was not a penalty. It was Fernandes that fouled the defender. Even the producer of the match was playing the replay of the situation for the next 7-8 minutes almost on repeat in disbelief.

And yeah, results look good, but the play is really sub par. Seems to me that others are just a bit worse then Man Utd after corona restart, not vice versa.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 09, 2020, 09:22:47 PM
There are tons of teams like Atalanta in the world right now, with the financial fair play rules a lot of teams turned inwards and trying to find young players that would both play and make a good amount of impact on the field but also later sold for a higher price. However not every team makes it as well as Atalanta, look at ajax for example, they are known to be scout of the world and they do end up finding amazing players all the time from a very young age and went very far ahead in the champions league as well.

So, I would say that Atalanta is very good at what they do, what they do is something thousands of teams try in all over the world but they keep failing at it, Atalanta didn't fail and they managed to make it work and now they are very good thanks to it.

There are clubs like Atalanta and Chelsea that are working like factories. Loan legions I'd call that.

For example, if I'm no mistaken, in 2016. or 2015. Parma had more then 150 players on loan at the same time in only one season. Chelsea has been like that for more then 10 years and Atalanta is doing the same thing.

They buy tons of very young players for low fees, loan out a legion of young players where clubs that loaned them out pay their wages. Player are on loans until they either become good enough to get in the main team or reach profitable value and sold.

You have players in Chelsea that are officially veterans in Chelsea and yet they haven't played a single match for Chelsea.  Now more and more clubs are taking this approach.

I would call that highly unethical, if you put yourself in the shoes of a young player. You get loaned for half a season in one club in England, then you move for a year into another club in England, then you get loaned for another year in Spain and so on...

It is a meat grinder and no matter how talented you are this can only be survived by extremely adaptable personalities, but there must be consequences nonetheless for a 17 year old moving like that.

You will see in the coming years this topic will become the number one issue in modern football and there will be restrictions on the way when it comes to this type of "managing" young players.

This looks like handling cattle from my perspective.

I quite like the idea of a bunch of teenage TikTok-ers randomly picking a shitcoin and pumping it for no reason. It helps to show just how manipulated those shitcoins are, how these pumps are based on nothing but misplaced hopium and herd mentality FOMO gambling. It might introduce some new users too, who should quickly come to the realization that btc should be their real focus.

Although Gen Z seems unable to focus for longer than the average YouTube cat video, so the effects may be very short lived....

1 minute random pumps, onto the next coin?  Grin Grin
