861  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: April 01, 2024, 10:24:46 AM
Your strategy is good because you pay attention to the little things. These points contain something that will help you win a sufficient amount of money over a long distance, or lose significantly less than we would have done without it. Each sport has its own nuances that you should pay attention to, but only if you apply them all together will they give a positive result. You can add one more point, but you need to pay attention to each player and take into account his individual abilities and his moral stability in order to win back, etc. It is possible to notice this in teams only in one league, which has been followed by loyal fans for many years, so this is not available to many.
Sports betting is all about knowledge, someone who gets into sports betting has to pay attention to everything about a team or an individual that is involved in a game they are about to bet on because they need to analyse everything when they are doing research, and for better and proper analysis, one needs a lot of knowledge and information about each side involved in a competition.

Positive results can be yielded from sports betting if someone pays a lot of attention to small details about each match and each sport they want to make bets on. So the main point is, that sports betting can be profitable for those sports bettors who know sports very well, and not everyone.
Now even those experts are having problems, the more information we can get about a particular sport, the better prediction models casinos can create and this in return generates more precise odds, so a skilled sport bettor needs to keep improving their system or one day they may find that the system that gave them profits on the past is not able to beat the casinos anymore, an occurrence I have read it has happened a few times before to some of those professional bettors.
We should just perish the idea that we want to beat the system, that's not possible no matter the amount of training we have and the years dedicated to it. So long as it is the casino category you are playing, you can't beat the system but pray for the lucky day which is the rainy day that everyone playing casinos wishes for. They do not believe they can outsmart the system with any kind of skills and advanced tactics unless they are unwise. The more you try, the more you waste your time. But if these efforts and plans are allowed to be limited to sports betting, it will go a long way in helping the bettor. One may continue to get the needed information about the team to be betted on or against to be able to know the right decisions to make and speculate with further know-how having gained improved experience. Sports betting is just so good and comfortable, it is such that is neutral between the house and the gamblers, so it is all about us, and when our expertise on it is good and we still have the bonafide management alongside, then nothing is our limit.
862  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: April 01, 2024, 10:02:14 AM

There is no doubt about that, I personally could say that things can be very usable in terms of those who can put them to use, I know that in many cases corrupt rulers and people who have always done evil to the world have done so with fiat money, we cannot blame the fiat money for the crimes of some people, so sometimes seeing that they say that they have been robbed and that they have done things to be able to establish themselves better in terms of crypto, well it doesn't make much sense to me that they think Thanks to crypto, more thefts can be made these days, all of these are simply tools.

The things that are referred to crypto, the people who hate them invent all kinds of excuses to make them look bad, then based on anonymity and all this that they want to remove, well they simply want to remove it so that everything is exposed, and Those who use crypto, casinos and all this may be exposed.
There have always been alot of misconceptions and propaganda again cryptocurrency and bitcoin most especially which is why we see alot of attacks from various government a and some of it agencies around the world, even though all the criminal who use the fiat monetary process have been left unchecked and uncaught until now, but their are quick to sponsor hate statements against the industry today.

The government have failed in to act right to regulate the financial institutions,  and also making a misplaced priority by chasing the wrong fight.
You can't certainly blame the government in this regard, cryptocurrency caught them unawares, so getting used to it will take time. You can't also blame them as some speak against it while others either ban, restrict or advocate/enforce strict regulation, it wasn't the same reaction by all which indicates Hope. What they've always known was fiat which is a centralised system and is what they somewhat trusted because they still have control over it despite some illicit flows. As for the illicit flows, criminals and money launderers continue to find means to outsmart the government even as the government continues to block some and unveil some perpetrator's schemes and even jail many of them. This has been the tough task the government was fighting and still fighting before and after the introduction of cryptocurrency.

Now that cryptocurrency was introduced, it became an added headache for them for obvious reasons, and if you were the top leader in the government, would you feel differently if you were genuine? As we know, it takes harder tasks to solve the puzzles of cryptocurrencies than fiats, and the common claims that criminals are using fiats are not even a contention here because the government will never deny that. But it seems people continue to reference it which is supposed not to be so because the primary concern of any responsible government is to build and maintain a sane system where illicit flows will not happen talkless of causing the financing of terrorism, trafficking and others. The only way they can do this is to get better control of cryptocurrency which is what they're trying to do these days through various regulations, and this is for the good of all as decentralisation will always come with its danger whether we like it or not.

Thanks Theymos, you have April fooled us!  Wink However, if in real something like that could take place then it's much better to make some changes where users who make high quality posts gets some auto-merits for their time and contribution.
Let it end in an April Fool to avoid further complications. Smiley An automated system can only do what you wish for since there are no moderators checking and rating posts manually. Even if there are, the work will be too cumbersome. And this automated system may create more issues than the ones they would be tasked to solve if care is not taken.

I got a notification on the Telegram bot that my account was banned, but after I opened Bitcointalk everything was fine. Is this also part of April fools?
Bro, expect the worst surprises today, it litters everywhere now. Grin
864  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: April 01, 2024, 04:33:10 AM
This is what I care about in a casino website. Firstly, it should have many types of games like sports, esports, and blackjack. (But this is not always important; sometimes I still play on a website that only offers one game.) Secondly, does the website provide a tutorial or a free trial to test games? (Sometimes I don't know how to play a game, and I don't want to spend time depositing money to see if it's fun or not.) Thirdly, speed is important. How long does it take to register, to deposit, and to withdraw? Lastly, having many reviews from various users is the best.

The topic is not about what you want to see in a casino, but what you want to see in casino reviews (review website).
Have you ever visited a casino review website before, a place where you can find review about many different casinos that tell you almost everything about the casinos?
Although what you mentioned above is also available in most casino review sites but that's not what is wanted by OP.
Try to at least read the opening post in this thread, there are 5 questions, better to answer that 5 questions so you wont be off topic.

Kiss Sorry, my bad. I don't think I will answer all these 5 questions now. I just pointed out some things when I see a casino review: the day the website runs, their visitor count per day, their RTP for each game, whether they require KYC verification or not, and what makes me feel safe on a website is having as many reviews as possible. That makes me less concerned about their trust.
You don't have to be apologetic, you are on point as far as I am concerned. Only that you iterated them directly, regardless, you mentioned those key aspects you want best in your casinos, so anyone can link them to a review as well. What I can say frankly with respect to that post is that you covered a whole lot that anyone could wish for in their casinos, so why apologise? Whether it's a private review where the website owner discusses a casino and all the services they have to offer or the ones where people/customers will be commenting about what they want and their experience with casinos, none of them will still make the review away from what you discussed. They might only say that, in this aspect, this is my experience with a certain casino just for people to know. If those points are actually what you want in your casinos as iterated above, then those are what you go for when you are reading reviews of casinos which make you valid and on point. But just make sure that you read the public reviews and comments about casinos and not the ones that the website owners display. They could have been written to satisfy their paymasters.
865  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: April 01, 2024, 04:16:50 AM
Most sites do know how to market themselves but the problem is that most of them have the same information on that regard, so they tend to come to the same conclusions and tend to market themselves in the same channels. This creates a congested space for competition and that in turn creates a very difficult choice between the best channels and the channels in which there are less competing adds.
Are you surely having difficulty with that? Lol...For me, that's one simple issue that I believe should not be confusing to anyone. Although the presence of casino adverts on some websites could be so annoying depending on how the platform/website owner placed them and makes them interrupt, I just don't like the ones that would suddenly pop up and disturb my work/viewing. If that is taken from it, then they are free to place their adverts as they like even as I surf the site/platform as if they were not there. However, regarding the selection, all I see here is greed, but for me, since I already have good casinos, means I am not ready for too many of them anymore. But to some people, perhaps you as well, judging by what you explained, you would want to try as many as possible ones you see, which is what is causing the confusion.

Even if you are new to the casino world and want to choose for the first time, I think a simple review for 1 or 2 days is the way out to avoid confusion and mistakes in the selection. And don't say it is too long, it is your money, where you are keeping the money, playing with it and being able to enjoy the service and get your money out as and when do is not too tasking of you to thoroughly investigate such a place for you to have the rest of mind. As for the casinos you see all around, it is normal in this competitive world, and the more they have the money, the more their voice is being heard, especially through adverts. This is why you see them virtually everywhere even more than one another depending on how much they can sacrifice to convey around what they are selling.
866  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: March 31, 2024, 09:28:25 PM
Wanted everyone's opinion about which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI. What is their best feature and which casino and sportsbook do you like but want to see improvement when it comes to UI or features?

UI means User interface.
Mr. OP, feature is good, Many casinos have a UI that mainly attracts players. So if you choose a casino that has UI and it can definitely attract you. So users should be given the facility to choose a casino so that they can check various services, such as deposits, withdrawals, KYC system, betting policies and restrictions, etc. Need a review when you register there. So if you want to find out the casinos that have UI and register there, you must read the various betting guides, and then you can proceed to bet there. Moreover, for choosing a good casino you not only have to choose the casinos that have UI, but you can also use the trusted and good casinos that will give you maximum benefits.
You have some good points and I also like my casinos to have enough features and services that will continue to encourage me to stay with them, extras will even be appreciated. But do not forget that this is a UI thread and it is the reason why the OP limits what he asked to it. It will be nice if we adhere to it as well, deviating from it will only cause distraction from the main subject. In my experience, the UI has not been the main issue with casinos, most have it excellently, except a few that did not get it right from the beginning and could be due to poor planning. The reason could also be that they do not have enough money to hire the right hands, and for this, they could be doing it themselves when they have the coding experience (I've experienced it with very poor performance) or pay the less qualified people who will also deliver a very poor job.

But if the casinos gain traction, they might continue to increase the quality gradually until they reach the full taste of everyone. That's how the majority of them we see today started even when casinos' UI and overall user experience were not as advanced as what we see today. Above all, with the experience I've already had, if any new casinos cannot meet up with the standard of the casinos I use now, nothing can make me use them for more than an hour. Even the 1 hour was just for me to know what they have to offer, but will never open an account with such a casino.
867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: March 31, 2024, 07:07:38 PM
A lot of youths in Africa are into aviator and a lot of other crash games... what's interesting is that 90 percent of these young people have skills, jobs and sources of income,..why are we playing these games when the odds are constantly against us.
People come up with patterns trying to understand the algorithm of these games but from my experience these games have no pattern
They are been controlled by the bookmakers, out of a 100 percent the chances of winning is 10 percent
After winning more than 4 times In a row just know that losses is bound to happen even if you don't lose that same day
Crash games are not going to give you that extra source of income you are looking for.
Using the martingale system in these games is quite risky because sometimes you might lose 20 times in a row
And continuing in this system will make you an addict,, protect your financial life at all cost, stake what you can afford to lose and be disciplined
I was surprised to even read about the martingale system in gambling, I bet they just formed that term baselessly because I do not see how useful it is in gambling. I only know that it is somewhat interesting in trading but will only increase the risk and the potential success of the trader. Well, in gambling, the moment I heard of it, I was never interested because it claims to be loss-averse but it will only put the gambler at a higher risk in the already present risk in gambling.

That aside, the crash game I know is different from the one you are trying to explain. Nonetheless, this is risked in the casino aspect of gambling, what do you expect? You should know that it will all end in the favour of the house. But the 10% winning possibility you gave to the gambler is not fair, it should be way more than that. If not, nobody would play it because the losses would be much and it will not be at the advantage of the house in the long run despite the huge money spent already to invest in it. The companies developing such games will not even code or advice such a huge loss for the players.

Also, I like you to know that all casino games are lucky games, you never know when luck will appear to bless you. This is what gamblers playing casinos are after, not that they do not know the risks attached to it.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still truly achieve anonymous gambling in crypto? on: March 31, 2024, 06:27:15 PM
What I have seen that currently there was no well reputable and well featured casinos in my eyes. And some of catches my attention but they don't have enough features like what on a regular casino. I will not say that there was no casino that followed the non-kyc verification rules but I this they will also a non licensed casino. So depends on you where you will play non-license or licensed.
Many still preferred a licensed casinos even if they are requiring KYC already and I think, a good casinos will always ask for the KYC because they are being regulated. Being anonymous might only possible for a new casinos and a decentralized casinos though the risk playing with them are high and also not guarantee when it comes to your security. If you want to stay anonymous then you might consider these risk before you gamble with them.
I think it's high time we perish the idea of wanting anonymity when we are dealing with a third-party company, which is the casino in this case. Nothing is anonymous in that anymore whether we like it or not, unless we decide to deceive ourselves simply because we are dealing with cryptocurrency. The transaction we are completing to and fro are being aware by a third-party casino so long as it is not us and our wallets alone. Is that what they call anonymity?

KYC aside, though it is another means to know us better, but no matter what we transact with a third party whether KYC is involved or not, such are known and they are no longer hidden as people widely believe. Again, till today, people are still dealing with no-KYC casinos, some of which are said to be trusted, so it is not all of them that are so bad to be afraid of. Just as it is not all KYC casinos that are trustworthy regardless of whether they are duly registered and regulated. Needless to say that many of the so-called KYC casinos are licences where regulation is weak, so that can't exonerate many of them. They mostly use that to cover up.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 31, 2024, 06:08:36 PM
Do you gamble just to earn money? If a person considers gambling as his source of income, he will never get fun from gambling whether he wins or loses. Because here the purpose of that person is to earn money. If you get money, you will be happy temporarily. But ultimately he is gambling for money.Earning money or losing money in gambling is a matter of fun or fun is mainly found while playing the games.
You have made a logical point that people who use gambling as a source of income do not enjoy gambling in any way. Their aim is only to win and earn money. But gambling never wins anyone on regular bets so when they lose bets they get hurt and panic and start betting more and more to recover their losses and when they lose they also go through a lot of trouble. And for those who gamble for fun, most of the time, losing and winning are equally fun
It is practical, if you are for the money, you may be happy when you are winning, but when you are losing, you can never be happy. But if the primary goal of your gambling is for fun, then whether you win or lose, you will still be happy because you never expect any money from it, so you can't get desperate about playing it even as you have fun. But one thing that is good for those who are gambling for fun is to wager a lower amount of money that means nothing to them, or else, they will regret their actions and the fun will soon turn to sadness. If one plans to have fun in gambling, he might have just $5 budgeted for it and wager in ridiculous cent amounts per bet.

This will help such a person to be able to afford the amount spared for the fun and no losses would be hurtful in this regard. And it would be as if the $5 was the amount paid to access the fun, which will also be the situation of both losing and winning. The gambler will, of course, not lose the money easily and outrightly, and holding it tightly for over 2 hours is fun on its own where the gambler loses some and wins some until the money gets exhausted. However, if it is the money making your mind is fixed upon, even if it is $1 you lose, it will hurt so much. But if the mind is fixed on the fun, even if it's $100, the gambler may not feel it so far such a gambler can afford it as though the money is nothing to him.
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: March 31, 2024, 05:56:34 PM
-snip-
The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.
Thanks for the concluding part of this post, and the two points I can extract from what you narrated which are also your fault are that you sent a loan directly to a casino, this is not cool. Thankfully, this is a loan arrangement, if it were to be the financial companies that are strict with AML, it might be difficult for you to change that wallet address. Such would be what you will ever be using with them no matter what you explain, and this will make you dependent on the wallet irrespective of whether they are the one who first sent the money to you or you first deposited to them and expecting subsequent withdrawal. Casinos' crypto addresses should be used for the primary role of sending and receiving money from them, anything other than that may create an issue.

The second part is that you undermine the way centralised crypto companies behave. This happened to me with Binance last year but they made an arrangement for me to do the crediting myself. Though the money can't be lost, only that they will have to credit you manually. But if it takes too long and you deposited into an unverified address this way, I do not know what could happen. For this, it will be good for us to verify our beneficiary details before we risk sending the asset.

871  Other / Off-topic / Re: Noticing sign of gambling addiction before it gets worst on: March 31, 2024, 04:17:44 PM
So I'm thinking before you become involved in frequent gambling behaviour what is the sign that you notice that you are doing when you gamble?
Addiction creeps in so easily and undetected in most cases because of the insensitivity of the gambler, and since it is a psychological thing, we should be watchful, cautious and conscious at all times to avoid it infesting us cheaply and unnoticed. There are rules to gamble aright and avoid issues attached to it, and if one can keep them, I do not think that addiction would come near such a person. The way out is that every time we gamble, we should make sure we observe responsible gambling, otherwise, we should know that gambling issues are lurking. We should have our gambling styles, time, budget and plans, and as for the budget itself, we should have extra managerial plans about it so that we will not go astray when we think we have a budget. Because emotion may still make us set it aside, but when we have that calculative management about it to the point that we know the maximum time and money we can spend and how we can spend it per gambling session, it will help us further. But still, we need good discipline and determination to achieve this.

Also, if we are such that gamble for fun, we should be careful even more because the fun you seek could lead to addiction if care is not taken. This is why every gambler needs the management and plans and does not think it is merely for the fun. They must be disciplined to keep their gambling responsibly. If you read what I have written so far, you will discover key points like sensitivity, consciousness, cautionesses, budget, management and plans to make them better captured, which are what you sought. No gambler who is aware of them and observes them would have issues with their gambling.
872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 31, 2024, 04:00:45 PM
Liverpool has been confirmed to be at the top of the Premier League standings temporarily and this will be very good for Man City and Arsenal who will fight tooth and nail to come away with 3 points. With Liverpool victory the two teams cannot share points, because if they want to catch up the only way is to win today match. For Liverpool they will still be 1 point ahead if Man City wins 3 points but if Arsenal wins 3 points then both have the same points collection. There is no other choice but to reduce the gap, because that way Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal can continue to compete until the end of the season.
Liverpool having played the role of the better side in entire game with 30 shots and 8 on target showing dominance as host team there was no doubt  that they were going to win the game at the end. The competition between these three teams Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City is getting more and more interesting as the three keep replacing each other at the top of the table.

It's going to be a painful result for Manchester City if their game against Arsenal tonight end in a stalemate draw because the result won't change anything with respect to their position on the table currently as they will still remain in 3rd place, it's all a win that they need to come out for and that's why I expect this game tonight to be very offensive and tactical between the two teams and it will determine a lot for them in the race for the EPL title. Every Liverpool fans will be wishing to see this game end in draw to maintain their top flight position right now but will that be possible?
In fairness, with what Liverpool has done so far, I wish they lift the cup this season. It is one of the clubs I had the feelings of what they would do this season and they are not so much disappointing me even if they did at times. I knew they were out of the woods last season even when they did not lift the cup. See what is happening now. If not for anything, just to honour Klopp who is leaving the club this season after almost a decade, so it is all Liverpool for me. Besides, the rivalry is getting tougher between Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City, and if care is not taken, Man City will not lift that club this season. It is better that the winners of leagues are being changed every time, it shouldn't be one club alone, so Man City just can't be my take now. I still prefer Arsenal, if at all, but how they blow away their chances when people are shouting their name is what annoys me about them. Like last season, they were almost there before they started misbehaving and missed the opportunity.

However, the match between Man City and Arsenal has started with 33th minutes played already with no goal on either side. But it might later become tougher and I do not see Arsenal winning Man City today. The home advantage is also there with Man City's antecedent of mounting pressure in the second half. The match will further decide the second position on the table between the two as Liverpool had already beaten Brighton to move back to the top of the league and displace Arsenal with 2 points. But if Man City wins, it will be the 2nd on the table with the same point as Liverpool.
873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 31, 2024, 03:40:12 PM
It was a really huge loss for Napoli home by the way. I never expected such result like most people. I thought Napoli would even win you know. They beat Atalanta once away. But this performance was just horrible.  Sad

It seems like Napoli have given up and don't have any goal left to achieve. I mean their chance for top four was already really low and this result must have ended their remaining hopes. They can at least qualify for another European tournament but with this performance it isn't happening for sure. The players seem really unmotivated so Calzona wouldn't be able to do much in the remaining time period of the season I assume. They will need to get prepared better for next season.
Napoli's performance this season is very difficult to predict, they are really inconsistent so losing at home against Atalanta with a score of 3 goals without reply is quite embarrassing and not only that because of this defeat I think at this time Napoli has confirmed that they are not able to compete to compete for position in the European zone.

For this season, there is no hope left for Naoli and maybe it would be better for Napoli to maintain its current position and focus next season on building this team to be even better.
When you are in a slump like Napoli is currently, it seems like it will be difficult to get back up.

Seriously, Napoli is unpredictable this season. In some of the last matches before the international break, after beating Sassuolo with many goals, winning Juventus, and also drawing Inter Milan in an away game, I thought Napoli had picked back up their good form, not knowing they were just lucky with the matches they won or the poor performances of those teams. In that match yesterday, almost everyone bet on Napoli to win the game because it was their home game, and the opponent, Atalanta, seemed not to be as strong as Napoli currently from observation currently, but Napoli really denied the way they thought of them.

This season, I don't think that Napoli will be able to qualify for any European competition with the way they are performing. Currently, they are in the 8th position in the table, and their next match is Monza, for which I believe the team is also strong when playing in their home games and Napoli playing away. If Napoli wants to qualify for Next Season Europa, they need to put in more effort so they can win matches.
I predicted this earlier, and those who are regularly reading my posts about Napoli before this season shortly after they won the Scudetto last year could testify to it that I never saw them winning the Serie A cup this season, and that's if they will be part of the cup contender. Their 8th position now is proof of that. For me, they played well last season and deserve the winning, especially Victor Oshimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but I never saw them being spectacular beyond then for lack of consistency and I can attribute what happened to them for winning last season's league to luck as well, they are not just the team that can replicate it. Even now, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia tried like before but Victor did not replicate it which is another issues for them. Also before the end of the season, they've been making mistakes which could have hinted to any sensitive person already about what they would do this season, and if not for the fact that they've had enough points ahead of their closest rival, it could have been another issue for them with the way they performed towards the end of the season. And I believe Luciano Spalletti was wise enough to know what could possibly go wrong, which made him excuse himself when the ovation was still very loud.

However, what happened yesterday was shameful, Napoli disappointed their fans and those who betted on them against Atalanta. It was such a match that people will least expect the outcome and that can be seen in the bigger odds given to Atalanta across betting platforms. Atalanta scored twice in the first half, thinking Napoli could equalize and still win, but still scored another towards the end of the match despite being at the home of Napoli. This is just not nice and shows how unprepared they were even as their attack and defence were just nonsense. Fine, they did well against Juventus and Napoli, may be they underestimated Atalanta.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Solana on: March 31, 2024, 11:15:45 AM
I have around 2k USD of btc and I wanted to swap it for something but I can't decide whether to buy eth or Solana both seem extremely promising in the far future.
Let me advise you as though I was the one who wanted to swap my Bitcoin for altcoins.

First, none of Ethereum and Solana will be my choice at this point, they've moved too high already. And for the record, I do not know the reason for liquidating Bitcoin for Ethereum when the two are moving with almost the same magnitude and percentage when they depreciate and appreciate in value.

Still, I may consider Solana because it is gaining more traction than before due to its upgrade and scalability, and it is now a better rival to higher cryptocurrencies. This may make it move more than expected. In the absence of that, I prefer a lesser-value coin/token which may still surely move at least 10 times the present value. On the contrary, with the present statuses of Ethereum and Solana, they can't achieve that in this bull run anymore.
875  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Tax invasion charges: Can Nigerian government win Binance? on: March 31, 2024, 10:56:20 AM
Our government are fxxlish. Instead to overlook it and make all these exchanges to have offices in Nigeria and tax them appropriately. Although, Binance do not have office in Nigeria, but I do not know much about regulations and international law. I do not know what can happen in court. But it will be better if Nigeria take the case to international court instead of Nigeria court because Binance is not registered in Nigeria. You can see how our government are not wise, see the taxes they are losing, but instead, they prefer not I go the right way.
I'm concerned about those who are advising the Nigerian government, their approach is so unspeakable. I read an article regarding this in the local newspaper by a columnist (https://punchng.com/binance-escapee-and-nigerian-gragra) where she tagged the Nigerian government as insensitive to the case but exhibiting gragra (headstrong). That's a communist who is even neutral about the whole episode. I wonder why the Nigerian government can't find at least a good head among them who would advise them rightly. Binance is not the only exchange or company that Nigerians are transacting with, we have thousands of them, so why this much muscle flexing?

Just like you said, they can take them to an international court or the court of proper jurisdiction that Binance can be answerable to if they are not cooperating. But with what I read before this escalation, Binance was cooperating and that was why they sent two of their top officials to Nigeria, but the government rather abducted them. Abduction is the right word I can use because it is barbaric.

Another thing the government can do is to stop all Nigerians from dealing with them, just like what Philipines is doing now. I believe many for sentiment will cooperate with the government. Because, I for one, will not allow Binance to gain on me and derive my country from getting her taxes. But all of these can happen only if the Nigerian government is wise in dealing with the situation.

Does Nigeria even have the legal jurisdiction's right to serve Binance that is not registered with the country simply because the citizens patronise it?

Well, this is my view, I would love to hear from you guys.

You raised a very valid point, how can Nigerian government ask Binance to pay tax when it has no physical structure and it's not registered in the country. It doesn't make sense, I'm sure Nigerian government knows this, and if they were to take the case to the international court, they'd lose. So all they can do is to use the national court to bully Binance with the hope of getting the list of Nigerian traders.

As it stands, Binance is adamant, the clock is ticking, pressure is mounting, and the government has just lost one of its bargaining chips. I think the whole saga will end with the government releasing the detainee and asking Binance to register in the country.
I doubt if they know, my friend, because if they know but still pursue this hopeless quest and still wasting national resources to get it done, then they are the wicked. And of course, in the international court, they will surely lose the case of tax evasion, but for further cooperation with the government going forward where they will be mandated to register, make them accountable and start accruing taxes for the government, yes, they can win. But certainly not with this useless approach that would yield nothing.

Well, if Binance is now adamant, you should know it's for obvious reasons. They are being harassed, no responsible government will do that. This time the company has even stopped NGN transactions, they are basically global and not Nigeria, so the government has missed out entirely.

With the regulatory heat wey Binance dey go through right now with so many countries, dem no want add Nigeria to the list, and I believe say na the reason why them quickly comply with Nigerian government to cap the maximum amount for USDT.

Nigerians dey among the countries wey dey actively use Binance exchange to trade and with this development now, na bad business for Binance as them go lose many of their customers because people go begin go back to P2P trade for telegrams and WhatsApp to take run their package. This move e no make sense and e no go help revive the dollar in anyway.
Normally this one sharp, binance exchange done already dey on hot seats from different countries but me dey think am say maybe na only binance na this governments them know already, moreover them get more than 10+ exchanges wey dey run many things like the wey binance dey package their things but the government no dey lite fire to those exchanges. I been done see those news since and I never get more time to put eyes on them na make I no really know wetin dey xup since, but these few days I done see some topics about the small changes we most of this exchanges won do from this our local board. Although I no go believe am untill I witness am. However if binance to really agree to Nigerian government na be say make them already get ready to lose their costumers because everyone wants the best and for government to tell exchange to reduce the rate between dollars to naira will not make any change, so they should focus on what will make a change in our country and not the other way.
But it's not binance that's making naira to skyrocket.. I think Nigeria govt are chasing shadows.  they should tackle the source, export more than you import and make the economy favourable aha. Anyways any good cex someone can use their p2p for now with good rates..
Well, Binance is not the real enemy, our government is. However, as I'd hinted since 2022, crypto hurts the Nigerian economy also due to some unexplainable FX inflows through it. By fighting Binance which is the strongest of exchanges, they are limiting crypto transactions among the faint in heart Nigerians. Many will not send their FX inflow through crypto again but traceable centralised systems and banks, especially those who are in the diaspora who used exchanges like Binance for cheap fees.

No wonder Cardoso said a $1.5B FX inflow was recorded in days and this effect is now getting obvious. The pressing issue wouldn't have been necessary if our government were up and doing. They would know the FX inflow and outflow through Binance and also tax them and Nigerians adequately. This would have been a win-win for everybody.

I really want to get somethings clear here, does it mean that the Nigerian exchange market (Dollar/Naira rate) is controlled on Binance P2P platform alone?
That baffles me as well, it is our weak economy that makes it seem so. Although speculation is powerful in the market, regardless, when the economy is stable, nothing external and speculative toward the FX can be significant. This is evident in other countries, are exchanges not offering P2P there as well? Why is it not affecting/controlling their exchange rates?

All of us know say naija govt na clout chaser, Lai Muhd and Buhari government naim start to ban crypto, come ban Twitter join but all still no work for them. If to say Dem no ban crypto, we for no dey talk of P2P and banks and government for dey generate cool revenue but as Dem no get sense, make Dem continue. Binance is just unfortunate because they are the largest Cex although the exchange get hin own for body sha. Why the thing no too touch me na because I no dey really use binance and the exchange wey I dey use dey serve me well. Maybe you should check out Bitget coz their P2P is just like that of Binance. Mexc ná another good exchange but Dem no get usdt/naira pair on their platform.
The Nigerian government is not a clout chaser here, I can't just see the link between what is happening and that remark. We can only say that our government is clueless and even confused. Nevertheless, you are very right about the government causing the P2P to thrive, it could have been the internal withdrawal where the transactions would be well-monitored and accounted for for the taxes to be easily dedicated. I hope they would still not say that Binance is artificially setting the price as alleged.

As for the alternative to Binance, the transaction continues even as Binance stopped the NGN services. I am using Bybit and Kucoin now.
877  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 30, 2024, 07:54:24 PM
some gambling sites sometimes turn a blind eye to this and allow their users to use VPNs.
That's true. But you need to be aware that they will let it go only as long as you are losing and they are making money out of it. The moment you start winning, they will ban your account because you violated their terms and there is nothing you can do about it.
Personally, I would never trust such casinos. A casino or any service provider that does not follow their own rules because doing so benifits them can't be trusted.
I said it a while ago and it is totally unacceptable, it shows the bad intentions of the casinos and the need for people to avoid them. Casinos should be fair in both ways whether the situation is in their favour or favours their customers. Can you imagine, a casino was fully aware that the customer was using a VPN but turned a blind eye to it when such a customer was losing and enriching them but the situation turns when it is time for the casino to pay the winning.

Such casinos are wicked and should be heavily sanctioned if reported. What annoys me most is that fair casinos would even check properly if such gamblers cheat their system one way or another to decide whether to give them their deposit back or not. But they often resolve to keep all, which includes the whole deposit, the wagered amount and the winnings. This is the sheer wickedness of it all, and it calls for a good reason why we should avoid VPN completely even if the casino says it allows it. Who knows, they might use that as bait to deal with the gambler.
878  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: March 30, 2024, 04:27:09 PM
       -    Overall, for me, Bitcoin is money, not directly money, but it can be exchanged for money. Why? because it has the same value as gold. It's not even touched, but it can still be exchanged for fiat, so how can we say that it's not money? The logic is very simple: if he is not money, that means he is fake money, right? And fake money has no value, right?

Now tell me, is it true that Bitcoin is not money? because if others say that it is not money, it means that Bitcoin has no value, but in reality, a Bitcoin plays at 69 000 to 70 000 dollars. Is this the fake money with value that they say is not money? This is just my point.
Maybe you are right that mate that we can compare Bitcoin and gold for a reason but in reality Bitcoin is a Digital Currency so it means it is a type of money but Digital not Like fiat that we can see, feel and touch while Bitcoin is in online wallet's to be stored. Also we can not say that Bitcoin is not a money cause we can change from Bitcoin to fiat it means from Digital to a touchable money. And also the best thing we can say that Bitcoin is Money is that  nowadays we can buy something and pay using Bitcoin.
The issue of Bitcoin as money is so complicated having carefully read people's stances after my last post here. But so long as it is a medium at which a financial transaction is concluded/settled and can be exchanged for the actual money/fiat, it is arguably money. But it is more than that, the fact that there is no commodity to back Bitcoin is an issue here, and the test of Bitcoin as money is still at the early stage, what if it later fails? What I just mentioned are points that are casting doubts on Bitcoin as money which makes many support Bitcoin as money and others do not support it as money.

Above all, the definition of money itself still considers it as anything that is an asset and exchangeable for its worth. Since Bitcoin is an asset and is exchangeable for its worth, it's money in my conclusive view. But for it to be thoroughly fitting, I guess that there should be some kind of modification to the definition of money. They never considered an advanced situation like we now see in cryptocurrency when they actually tabled down the definition of money.

At that point, my cash out was #1,641.

Is that Nigerian Naira currency? It's just that I just looked it up and I see it's the equivalent roughly to $1.2, and I imagine the Nigeria cost of living is lower but I don't imagine it's such a large amount to make a cashout.
Lol...It's Nigerian Naira (NGN) and the money is indeed small, it can't buy a standard meal even in the country, to say the least. Notwithstanding, it is not about the size of the money but the success thereof, that's what the OP wanted us to know, and perhaps the joy attached to it at the same time. I can feel the spirit.

Also, the success has to do with the money we wager, the OP's risk was small, which is why the gain was small too. I can see the odds, they are good enough, so he got what he risked. This is what pains people at times when the outcomes are all green and he might regret not wagering higher money in such a game. Maybe next time, he can try better with a higher risk for a higher gain.
880  Economy / Gambling / Re: What would you like toask a cryptocasino owner? [NEW QUESTIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED] on: March 30, 2024, 03:59:45 PM
           -   A casino owner has only one aim, and that is to collect income. And how will that happen? Of course, there must be gamblers who will play on their platform and make money from the games they choose to play. Because if no one brings money into their casino, their casino business is useless.

Maybe my question will be, if ever the house edge of a casino really controls every play of a gambler? And is it also true that they only choose what they want to win? And when a casino sees that a gambler's winnings are about to be released, will they hold it because the player's winnings are too big because their funds are not enough, so they will just make an alibi?
Alibi for what?

Regardless, these questions of yours can be answered by anyone just as they come to their heads, and they are such that any casino owners will answer in such ways that will always favour them. It will never reflect the reality of what they would do in such situations. Let me vary them for you. For the first part, the house will always have the edge in their casinos, and the reason is that they established it for the sole purpose of money making, so the games you are playing there must have been wired in their favour and winning pegged at a certain percentage of choice. From what I heard, it could be 15% or 25% winning or more for their customers which makes the customers rely solely on luck and can't beat the house for any reason.

This is made possible with the algorithm of the games, and it depends on the casino to leave it at default or even wickedly adjust it to be tougher for players. As for choosing what they want you to win, that's possible since we have many of them doing many ignoble things unquestioned. But for the probably fair casinos, I think there is a limit to what they can manipulate.

What annoys me the most is the withholding of the winning of gamblers. After all the losses, trauma and stress, the gambler now wins but the casinos could refuse to pay the winning. This is very bad and it is common to those illiquid ones among them. Casino owners would tell you that such would never happen in their casinos but I tell you that some people are victims of such, so asking is not even necessary. It is nevertheless good for us to go for the well-liquid casinos that are trusted too, perhaps such will not happen to us.
