861  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Access bank no fit give their customers access. on: November 17, 2023, 08:41:16 PM
For some days access bank customers no fit get access to their own money,  the name of the bank don become an opposite meaning. This not the first time this our traditional banks are having issues like this. People not having access to their money is a very bad experience which can put people to be in a complete confuse state. Na why I still considered bitcoin as the best, even if their is a delay in the network to transfer bitcoin,  with the use of a accelerator people still have access to their money in Bitcoin.  Access bank no even care about their customers, if they put their customers first they won't let their customers to go through this pain. Bitcoin cares about it users and still created a way people  can have access to it with accelerator.

Our government really need to accept Bitcoin completely so that people can invest in it and in difficult time like this bitcoin can be a solution to the problem.
It can be very frustrating when you want to make some financial activities and you get a setback, especially in urgent situation.
Nowadays I don't even use this our conventional banks for transactions, Opay has been able helpful.
Omo if our government, relax the restrictions on bitcoin e go really help our financial life, because this Banks dey misbehave too much.
862  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Nigeria a failed project ? on: November 17, 2023, 07:38:35 PM

Good afternoon my country people.

This topic was formed from a lecture discussion where the lecturer asked the question "is Nigeria a failed project?" And it made me wonder, if we had the solutions to our problems why isn't anybody working towards making the country better?

It's no news that the country is getting way worse than it was yesterday, meanwhile people predicted it to be developed not long after it's independence. From the high illiteracy and unemployment rate to the devaluation of our currency, and the continuous corruption in the government sector. When the question was asked, of course, some students agreed that Nigeria is actually a failed project cause of the signs we see everyday. Meanwhile, some said Nigeria isn't a failed project considering the following points:

First of all, projects are of 2 kinds;  the short term projects and the long term projects.

Short term projects are known as "Goals", and the way of solving short term problems or meeting a goal is through "Tactics".

Long term projects are known as " Objectives", and solution is through "Strategies".

They argued that it's possible that the solutions to Nigeria's problems are on the long run and are not solutions that'll bring up results today, but the thing is how long is this long term project going to last ?

Secondly, there's something in projects "Goal/Objectives congruence" . This refers to harmonization of goals. It's very possible that everyone is doing their work and is working towards different goals that aren't bringing forth general good fruits but individual selfish based fruits, and this is the number 1 thing you'd see in Nigeria. Hardly would you find someone who wants to work for the people, and also hardly would you find people who are ready to elect and listen to someone who's ready to help them. People have their head elsewhere. Take for example, elections, the general goal is to elect someone who would lead and help push the country upwards, but some people are focused on just getting into power, others are focused on stealing ballot boxes and making quick cash, and many others. So, in order for things to go smoothly while working on goals, one would have to synchronize the focus of everybody's individual want, harmonizing them in order to get general gains.

Thirdly, there may be visions, projects, objectives etc for the country, but poor strategies and tactics are used in meeting them, making it therefore slow, poor and inefficient. Again, I'd like to add that Nigeria may be working on old rules while alot of other countries are working on and implementing new and innovative ideas for their economic development. Take for example, the fact that many countries have accepted Bitcoin and are using it, while a few have even made it their legal tender, taking them further and further into the future. While in our country, only a few have Investments in Bitcoin, only a little above those few own Bitcoins, while after adding a little more percentage of Nigerians, you would now have the number of people that have heard of it. This is quite backwards.

Some of Nigeria's economic plans that may be seen as failed projects include; The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), The National Economic Empowerment Development Strategy (NEEDS), The Vision 20:2020.

In conclusion, I'm going to be throwing the question to the public. In your opinion is Nigeria and failed project ? And reasons why you picked yes or no.

Thank you.

No, Nigeria is a failed state yet, a failed state is when none state actors, control the the institutions. Our case is more like civilian rule, that is been masqueraded under the illusion of democracy.
Though some people will hold the argument that we are sliding towards a failed state.
The project called Nigeria, can only make headway, when we begin to build strong institutions, as for now we have people that are stronger than our institutions, and That's not healthy for a country that wants to practice democracy.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: November 17, 2023, 07:06:52 PM
If you walk into a casino with $200 and you start playing with that $200 and you win $200, get the hell out, you simply just doubled your money, take your goddamn leave, what do you think you wanna do? Win a million dollars? You will go home empty handed.

The next thing that rings in your ear is you can still win another or more, that's the devil whipsering, the art of gambling is knowing when to stop.

The only game where you have some power is in Poker, not the online one, this is the best game in casinos, as making profits off of bad players is possible.

As for Other games, You are at the mercy of the house.

No one actually visits the casino to have fun, you gotta trick the mind, I like to think of it has a fun night out and I am going to spend a few hundred dollars and have a good time and if I win it's a bonus, like I've said, you gotta trick the mind.

Always remember this, you are there to win a game where its statistically impossible to win at, it's not impossible to not understand this about gambling, a wise man once said, "if you want to make money with gambling, own a casino".

A gambler that knows what his doing, knows when to stop.  A lot of times, you can actually go to casino with that same $200 and you will end up not winning a dime. So for you to even double your invest by gaining another $200, that's a plus to you. So like you said, the best thing is to leave after a successful win,  don't let the devil trick you to stay a second,You can fight another day.
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: November 17, 2023, 04:43:59 PM
My main reason is bitcoin will not give me another chance to make bunch of money. You need lots of fund to make money from bitcoin while you can do that even with small amounts of money through altcoins. These days people were massively seeking profit from investing their money into the altcoins. i think that you shall aware that if the fact that if these days altcoins can give you more than bitcoin. Even if you were not a part of early adopters and you can still make like a few hundreds percents in less than a month which is good.
You have a point, in Bitcoin you need a good amount of investment before you start making good result, it's as well depending on the level of investment you put in, but for Altcoins since there are some that you can get at a very minimum rate, you can get as many as you can, then with the hope that after a while it will add value. so that at the end of the day you can make a good return in your investment.
But a lot of investors will still want to stick with bitcoin, because of its longevity and how it has stood the test of time, it's more like bitcoin is tested and trusted.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eloncoin will be massive. on: November 17, 2023, 04:31:15 PM
First of all, not his own coin. Elon musk is definitely a name that can greatly influence the direction of a market but this coin isn’t from him directly so it’s hard to say what will happen next it looks like it has good returns for now what’s ideal right now is if you can get it in a low value and claim it when the value goes up there’s a good indication that it might stay for a long time but don’t get too excited and only invest what you can afford to lose

At least for him to give the go-ahead or the directive for the coin to be used in his name, it then means he has a pre knowledge or supposedly he knows very much about the launch of the coin, so I'm pretty sure he might one way or the other be involved in the financing of the project.
I believe with time, the coin will add value in the market.
Of course for any new investor, it's always advised to start little.
866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 16, 2023, 09:45:09 PM
In my opinion, Manchester united has not changed this season, in fact they have experienced a slight decline in starting the league this season, and it is not surprising because Manchester United itself has not really changed the team scheme while still retaining its old players, so it is not surprising that their performance has not changed either.
Maybe there will be an increase in team performance, but it will take a long time and many matches ahead for a coach to find a scheme that is suitable for a team with limited players.
If Manchester United wants to make significant changes this season with the player scheme and the way they play this season, the coach and the team as a whole must really care about this. Especially they have to take advantage of the transfer market when it opens again this season and also change the way they play slowly so that there are more significant changes for the team, because what Manchester United needs now is to win in every game that remains this season.

Manchester United made many changes during the last few years and this team was not stable at all and maybe that's why they had poor performance even after the summer when Manchester United hired the players Ten Hag wanted to have in this team.
I think the most important reason for us to see Manchester United's poor performance is because of the changes Ten Hag made during the summer while Manchester United didn't need some of these changes

Well on my own opinion I think Ten hag got the players he required to execute his project unfortunately things didn't work out as planned but I wouldn't say it's as a result of the kind of players he recruited into the squad, but I would rather say it's a thing of inadequate motivation or low morale from the entire squad because these players in question are world class players but I wonder why they always struggle whenever they on the pitch against an opponent whether small or big. But then as a coach the bulk of the blame will be on him, though I'm not still happy with him letting Ronaldo to go, because he was still an asset.
867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: November 16, 2023, 09:27:28 PM
Games that have no goals from the first half to the end of the game is just boring to watch, and this Liechtenstein vs Portugal game is one of those games we expect to see goals coming in from different angles but no it didn't happen.
The first half of the game is quite disappointing to me, because I was expecting to see the visitors (Portugal) dropping like 3-4 goals before heading into half-time but is still goalless.
I hope with the stars that Portugal are having in this fixture it won't end in a draw or 0-2 win, at least Cr7 need to score more goals to increase his goal scoring record.

It's been a very good fight from the Liechtenstein national football team to have been able to prevent the Portuguese side from getting to the back of the net for first 45 minutes of the game, showing a high level of concentration and defensive ability but you need more than that to keep Christiano Ronaldo and his colleagues at bay, because these guys never stop until they burst the net of their opponents, a very enticing pace from the Portuguese midfielder and a masterclass finish from Ronaldo and another juicy goal from jao cancelo is what separates the Portuguese side from their host Liechtenstein tonight.

869  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: bitcoin affecting altcoins on: November 16, 2023, 09:00:22 PM
Overtime i see that whenever there is a dip in the price of bitcoin, other altcoins tends to follow suit by also dropping in their prices and whenever there is an increase in the price of bitcoin, other coin as well increase in their value. Does it mean that other altcoins cannot be dependent on their own? Like must the activities of bitcoin affect the alternate coins at all time? I really want to understand why alternate coins like BNB, ETH, TWT, MATIC,  XRP,  LTC, DOT, ADA, SOL AVAX and so many other alternate cryptocurrencies are always affected whenever there is a change in the price of bitcoin like can't they be dependent on there own? as they are all cryptocurrencies despite the fact that bitcoin is more volatile than the rest of the cryptocurrencies.
Omo you no fit carry bitcoin compare those other coins oh, in terms, durability, trust in yielding profits, and him get publicity and global acceptance pass any coin. Bitcoin dey lead, others dey follow for back.
As I dey now self, I no sure say I don see plenty naija people way get altcoins for their wallet self, if them dey them no too plenty reach bitcoin holders.
870  Economy / Economics / Re: What has really been behind china's economy on: November 16, 2023, 06:29:40 PM

The other day,  Pawal7777 was talking about recession hitting CANADA, and that's how other countries are having one difficulty here and there economically. So my point is, what economical indices is china adopting to keep their economy afloat?

The strength of the Chinese economy cannot be explained without returning to its historical process since its liberation from Japanese colonialism during World War II. Under Mao's leadership, China adopted many economic models that were inappropriate for the country's specificities. These policies were a blind imitation of the policies of the Soviet Union, and when Brezhnev tried to dissuade them from implementing them, they accused him of revisionism and continued with a policy that relied solely on agriculture and steel production, which led to a famine that killed more than 50 million people. This is only one example of the decline that the Chinese economy suffered from for decades before it realized the best way to build a solid economy based on diversifying resources and encouraging free productivity under planning by the state (the ruling party), which transformed communism from a closed theory into an open policy resembling imperialism. . This is since China is interested in opening new markets, but not in military policies.
You've outlined the historically trajectory of the social political activities that has enveloped overtime in china, however a policy looks like in the theory, if it is not physically manifesting then that theory is just existing in the papers, from what you just outlined, it shows how they've overtime develop policies that are human oriented and that can expand their economic base to what we currently see in this present time.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and skill, which is more important for gambling success? on: November 16, 2023, 05:34:34 PM
I have the believe that success in gambling requires a mixture of luck and skill. This is opposed to some people that believe that gambling is entirely a game of luck and others who believe it is entirely a game of skill.

So I am tempted to inquire if skill is all that is needed to be successful in gambling or luck. Whichever be the option, which of them is the most important factor for gambling success?

As a gambler the most important thing is for you to know your onion, the onion to me which means for you to know the skill that you use in Betting or placing your bet. As a gambler you must have a particular skill on how you predict your ganes, this skill is acquired as a result of overtime practice, over time trial and error, and the corrections you've made over time.
luck is just an additional part of a gambler life, but the most important thing is your your ability or your  skill to predict.
Luck has little to play in the life of a gambler.
872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning big amount after watching streamer on: November 16, 2023, 05:25:06 PM
I decided to share this story since this is my first time winning big on a slot game since I’m not a fan of slot games personally. I was watching one of the highlights video of streamer xposed in the youtube and see him winning big time on stack em by hacksawgaming slot.

I’m not a fan of slot game especially this provider due to high volatility game yet I still play the game after watching him winning huge multiplier.

Click the image to watch the full video of xposed

I try a couple of buy bonus worth 25$ and I hit x3800 using 0.2$ on my 5th buy bonus which insane since it almost same experience when I watch the streamer video. This kind of event is like dream come true since I never imagine winning same with the video I watch even though there’s a difference on the winning amount.

This is my winning screenshot.

Sometimes watching streamer and being motivated to play unknown games to us brings luck out of nowhere. Keep on trying but just don’t over commit. Trying the unknown and winning big time is really fun experience.

Slot games are too risky, I'm more of a football or others sports games betting kind of person, but for slot, I haven't given it a thought before.
Congratulations on your big win, but then I'm not trying slot games anytime soon, I've seen a lot of videos on YouTube as well, but I haven't been enticed not even for one bit.
873  Economy / Economics / Re: What has really been behind china's economy on: November 16, 2023, 04:03:55 PM
the growth of China's economy IS. An export-oriented economy cannot actively develop and grow with shrinking markets. And China's economy basically lives by exporting EVERYTHING and EVERYTHING. And the key role is played by Western consumers, who bring revenue in liquid currency. And it is them that China is losing today. Plus the internal crisis, which will lead to lower incomes and taxes, and therefore lower purchasing power inside China, which will also prevent the economy from not only growing, but will force it to reduce turnover, which will worsen the situation. The government cannot subsidize business long and massively to create a pretty picture....
If China can maintain comprehensive exports to markets other than Asia as a new plan they are developing, then I believe China will become one of the strongest countries financially. Of the many products they make, they are generally marketed to Asia because that region is the source of their strength to dominate the market. China is a country that is strong in trade relations and especially its influence on the Asian market which has controlled many sectors and China is also a country that is developing innovation in the field of technology which is now starting to be taken into account by Western countries

The crisis that has occurred in recent years has not only hit China and other countries have also been affected. But their economic strength is much better compared to several countries which are starting to face much bigger problems and their ability to solve the recession problem should be appreciated in the midst of a large population, they are able to provide solutions.
I think at this point you need to understand that China as I speak to you, has been exploring the African Market, majority of the gadgets that are used in Africa from cell phones, laptops, electricity generator just name it, is all been made from china. So Asian alone is not there stronghold, china has diversified into many continents across the globe.
874  Economy / Economics / Re: How to survive hyperinflation? on: November 16, 2023, 03:33:35 PM
How do you strategically navigate hyperinflation to safeguard your financial well-being?

Would you invest on crypto, stocks or household when the cash is not the king?
In surviving hyperinflation, there are lots of economical opportunities that are always present in every situation, you can make do with investing in cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin, you can as well diversified your investment into other portfolios by either going into real estate investment, transport system, or even importing goods that are not in your local domain for wholesale. hence you begin to make profit from any of the business you've made investment with, then you can gradually start to beat inflation over time.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disadvantage of bitcoin on: November 16, 2023, 08:59:50 AM
Was going through some post on the forum when I came across this writing in a free signature space which writes “make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you loss access to your BTC”.

Now a lot of people would imagine the possibilities of losing access to one’s bitcoin in their wallet and there have been several cases of where people loss access to their wallets with massive holdings in it and that is why it is always advisable to back up wallet address regularly.
I’m not trying to down in BTC but at times we should call a spade a spade and accept the fact that aside decentralization that bitcoin offers and its volatility that we all profit from, a lot of people would still want to stick to the traditional banks because it also seems to be one of the safest place to keep our money.

Now my question is, do you think losing all of one’s coins simply because they didn’t have access to their wallet or key is already enough disadvantage for bitcoin against the local banks ?

It is a general knowledge in life that anything that has advantage also has a disadvantage, the traditional way of banking has it own disadvantage, where funds of individuals miraculously disappearing without any trace, most times we've had some cases of those nature, even the money save in the bank does not yield any interest, rather they sometimes depreciating because of charges and maintenance fee that the banks deduct.
Of course despite bitcoin volatility, over time you will see your investment yielding profits, it is always advisable that as an investor in Bitcoin you should have your seed phrase always kept somewhere as a secret, so whenever you lose it you can always go ahead to check on it, so you won't lose your investment.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 15, 2023, 08:37:45 PM
Currently, Lewandowski is still the mainstay of Barcelona's front line, but if we remember his age, Lewandowski is not a mainstay or long-term solution for Barcelona's attack line. So like it or not, Barcelona has to look for a worthy replacement to replace Lewandowski in attack.
However, I think that the one who is suitable to replace Lewandowski is Alvares, who is a young player and a valuable asset for Manchester City, and is a player who is quite capable as a striker and worthy enough to be considered as a replacement for Lewandowski. Alvares, who is still relatively young, still has the opportunity to become an even more talented player.
Unfortunately Barcelona won't be able to get Alvarez, since they don't have such amount of money to afford him and Man City won't want to let him go except a huge offer.
In as much as Barcelona needs a proper 9, they may try to stick with Ferran Torres as alternative till the end of the season and see how much he did improve, Fati might not be a 9 but he has been doing well on loan, he may be a good option for them later on
Barcelona is Barcelona and as such they always go for best irrespective of circumstances. If Alvarez is what Barcelona needs to get their ship sailing then I think they would definitely go for him with everything they have not minding the asking price of Manchester city.  though they(Barcelona) seems to be facing some financial constraints at the moment but I think they are alot more better now than some two or three years back when they couldn't lure in big players as a result of financial constraints, but they are getting out of that situation gradually and very soon they would start having big player in the locker room, as it used to be some decades ago.
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 15, 2023, 08:17:26 PM
Well, even now it's still too early to decide on the championship but for the mid-season and the end of the season too I don't think there will be much change here as the only possible additions are Dortmund and Leipzig which every year they are always in the Champions League zone and join the competition.
Last season there were a few other clubs that could have been in the mix but for now dark horse clubs like Freiburg and Union are still underperforming so maybe they will be excluded now.
For VFB they had a great start to the season and we saw that they improved a lot this season but in the last few games we saw how they started to have problems so I would also rule them out.
It definitely too early to decide the champion, so many things have changed in this season just as if they substituted each other, take a look at union Berlin that finished last season in fourth position are now in last position when match is still in 11 game while VfB Stuttgart that were battling not to relegate are now sitting comfortably in third point living behind second runner-up of last season with two points interval and Leipzig in the fourth position have one point in between, VfB Stuttgart performance this season show how serious the want to make it to champion league next season.

Football is just so unpredictable these days; most low-level teams are now performing really well and beating those considered to be of greater quality than them. The Bundesliga has always been a thrilling competition to watch, despite the fact that the league title has always been shared by Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, with Bayern Munich winning the majority of the time since the league's inception. However, due to how competitive the league is, the teams that hold the second to fourth positions are always rotating. I believe this season we will see new clubs that will make it to the top four and qualify for the champions league next season. If most of the smaller teams showing expertise in their games are consistent till next year, they will find themselves in the next season’s champions league.
A team like Bayern Liverkusen can no longer be seen as a small team now because from all angle this season, they have shown that they are capable of winning greater things. They have been so consistent from day one till now,and they are showing no sign of tiredness.Liverkusen to me are the most prefered team that will win the  Bundesliga tittle this season because Alonso is one of the best coach in Europe for now,and what he has done so far is not what one will feel he isn't serious for the Tittle.I think Dortmund and Bayern Munich are still there to compete but with what we've seen from Liverkusen so far,u can say they are the favourite for the tittle this time around.

For me, as an individual I have never seen a club like Bayern Leverkusen as a small team not because they may not be able to compete with other big clubs in the transfer market, but over the years we have seen some clubs that were once known as underdogs do some wonderful things in European football, but in the case of Bayern Leverkusen it is a thing of joy to see the Leverkusen side become a top contender not only in the German bundesliga but also in European football. though there have been some tremendous changes in the team, from the emergence of xabi Alonso as head coach, and Victor Boniface who has been doing great for the team in this campaign for the Leverkusen side.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your Favorite Altcoin and Why? on: November 15, 2023, 06:01:54 PM
Ethereum remains my first choice even if recently it has undergone ups and downs both in terms of value and reliability after the various forks and eips and the transition to staking but in my opinion it remains the best and the most versatile
Ethereum and litecoin are mostly people's first choice, because of how long they've stood the test of time, especially Here in my country.
But one issue people have with altcoin is there rise and fall attitude in their market value, which over time has scared a lot of investors.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: November 15, 2023, 05:28:16 PM
I would like to brief about the current market situation as there has been surge in value of altcoins a much higher surge compared to Bitcoin and many would have utilised this momentum to gain profit but if we look at the other side if you just look for top gainers you will find altcoins with top surge but the next day or after few days if you check the top losers you will find the same top gainers in this list as well. So there is a price increase for altcoin but not a established one like Bitcoin, because we have not seen dump in the value of Bitcoin for over an month now but Altcoins has been pumping and dumping and in my opinion it's not worth to make entery for long term as of now it's good only for quick profit whole being very active. What's your opinion ? Shall we invest or just involve in quick trades ?
It's because of the instability of altcoins, that's why most Investor always want to stick with bitcoin. The volatility is on both altcoin and bitcoin as well, but bitcoin tries as much to retain its value no matter the drop, it will always find it way to top. While altcoin struggle to maintain it's value, so if you must invest on altcoins, you have to do your homework very well.
