861  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Story of Gold on: July 13, 2016, 03:19:33 PM
Central banks gold reserves only matter in the case of international trade.
In the case of transactions within the country, people have no choice of currency, whether it is gold backed or not.
862  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: July 10, 2016, 04:10:54 AM
Öff course not if the price of the bitcoin was stabel why would it be such attractive as it is for now. Becuase the unstabele price more
people are going to invest into the bitcoin not otherwise.

It wouldn't be such attractive maybe... But it would be useful!
Cause right now nobody can use it correctly ^^

You have payment processors who provide a short-term lock on the price of bitcoin.
So from merchants' point of view, there is no risk.
863  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ? on: July 10, 2016, 04:07:39 AM
Well IMO Bitcoin will reach 500 USD again maybe after halving hype ends. I think that way because there will surely be a big dump after the price rises that happens today. I do hope that it goes up again before dumping very big.
naah i dont think so,we may really see a drop freshly after halving ,but i dont expect going it down more than 570-580$.
But in 2-3 days after it,im sure we will have the rise, maybe even back to 700$! we will see who will be right buddy Smiley

Yes, the drop (if it has to happen) will happen immediately after the halving.
All the non believers and profit bookers will sell at this point.
Later, we will have the gradual grind upwards.
864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: July 09, 2016, 08:44:12 AM
Portugal managed to weasel out of the grip of Croatia which honestly was the far better team. How can you be sure that France is the clear favorite just because they are the host country? Do you remember how Greece won the title in 2004? With ugly, defensive play and being lucky on the counter attacks that's how.

Portugal can give competition to any team on the ugly, defensive play bit.
If they can manage to hold on in regular time and stretch the match to a shootout, they will have a chance.
865  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: July 09, 2016, 08:40:33 AM
try to take advantage of price drops in one day I've had for around $ 25 ~ yesterday I bought at the price of $ 613
and sell it today at a price of $ 660. bitcoin very profitable if you can be observant

Not sure whether selling at $660 is the right thing to do. You may make profits on a few days.
But you have the danger of missing out on big bull runs.
866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 09, 2016, 08:39:04 AM
Pakistani team doing well into warm up match so this will be nice for them to practice on English pitches, Pakistan have very good combination of batting and very dangerous bowling so that we can keep for an entertaining series, this series not will be one sided like Sri Lanka and I am pretty sure about this.

Pakistanis have always been unpredictable.
In spite of having a good team on paper, they can collapse under pressure.
They can also give an excellent performance when things go right.
867  Economy / Speculation / Re: It will be bellow $600 before halving on: July 09, 2016, 08:33:07 AM
I expect a little halving pump, that could reach 690$, and am planning to short the top of it.

halving a few hours away. but the price did not move. I hope there was panic when the 1-2 hours towards to halving and at least increase to $700.

The price is looking for a breakout in either direction.
If it does start trending downwards, there will be an avalanche of sellers.
868  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: July 09, 2016, 08:30:58 AM
Exactly trading altcoins is a good way to lose everything.

True, but if you manage to trade in top atcoins you can earn a profit too.
Just avoid those ICO's because scammer find them good to steal money. For me it's become a good way to earn regular money here.

It definitely requires lots of knowledge and skill.
To start trading, that too with huge amounts, is not advice that I would give anybody.
869  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: July 06, 2016, 03:33:17 PM
The thing is some people invested into bitcoin because the huge price achieved for something very new, the 1000 dollars bringed huge investment into bitcoin. The fluctuations around bitcoin were the main reason people close their positions or took their savings and camed to bitcoin.

Yes, the volatility attracted some people.
If price becomes stable, it will attract a different set of people.
That is true for any investment. The VCs are the first to invest and the pension funds are the last.  Smiley
870  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have BTC. Should I sell or hope for price to rise? on: July 06, 2016, 03:29:43 PM
I basically know shit about how BTC works. I received a payment in BTC when price was $750 a few days ago. My lazy ass didn't sell it right away and now I am panicking. Current price is $618 and it keeps falling. I'm panicking. What should I do? Should I sell it right now or should I wait and hope for the price to rise back to $750 or at least closer to it?

You should hold it for at least 10 years, it will certainly be worth more.

That is if he is able to. We don't know how much he received and how soon he needs it.
Uniform advice won't work for everybody.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 06, 2016, 03:28:01 PM
As I think Afghanistan is more experienced side than Scotland, so that it seems Afghanistan will play much better cricket even it is away but Scotland not so good in International cricket so that there is pretty good chance for Afghanistan to win this match today.

Yes, I too think Afghanistan may win this match because they are more experienced team compared to Scotland team. But Scotland got good fielding and couple of good hitters so if those guys click today then match can turn to Scotland side. Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat and Afghanistan has scored 37 runs in 10 overs with loss of one wicket.
Yes as you guys have mentioned Afghans are stronger.  But we can't say Scotland doesn't have a chance. They are capable of winning against Afghanistan just they gotto play some sensible cricket,  gotto have good Temper. Niether good nor bad start by Afghans. Let's see if they can score 250+

Afghanistan's batting performance hasn't been strong as the other days.
They have lost wickets in hand. Let us see if they are able to get some runs in the slog overs.
872  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: July 06, 2016, 03:12:44 PM
bitcoin prices every day will increase, although this increases slowly but someday bitcoin prices will be high. This is evident from the 2015 ago, that the price of bitcoin at that time dropped to less than $ 300, and this year to $ 400, a pretty good chance it will be high again in 2017
Bitcoins are rising allot but you cant say that they are rising continuous because the bitcoin is also dropping allot the last time you can
see that on the internet the price of the bitcoin has dropped allot the last time,.

Price ups and downs is not new thing in bitcoin, at this stage bitcoin is not rising as it has to be, as halving is near it should be around $750 by now but unfortunately it didn't happen.

Price of $750 is too high, considering where it was a few months back.
We should be satisfied with the gains made until now.  Smiley
873  Economy / Economics / Re: How much money do you have left from your job? on: July 06, 2016, 03:06:30 PM
I right now do not have too many expenses and I manage to save ~$2,000 every year.
Once I get married and have a family, it will be tough to save so much.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 04, 2016, 11:38:17 PM
Unfortunate for the Afghanistan match to get rained out.
Smaller teams like them badly need match practice. Only then will they be able to compete with test playing nations.
The weather experts would have made money on this one.  Wink
875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: July 04, 2016, 11:35:36 PM
OP did you end up selling anything?   US stocks have been on a tear as of late, and the whole brexit thing seems to have not mattered in the least.   Then again, bitcoin has also been booming.  It is indeed tough to decide where to put your investment dollars.

OP still has a few days to go before executing the second part of his strategy.
We still have to see how bitcoin's price moves around the time of the halving.
876  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: July 04, 2016, 11:32:15 PM
I think the best investment is to invest without the third party? I'm sure you will be confusion because investing almost all of them use a third party. but of course it would be risky to be a scam?
I better buy antminer and make passive income in my own home with mining

Financial investments definitely need a third party.
Even if you buy an antminer, you are depending on a "third party" to ship you the goods that you ordered.
So the investment world is not as trustless as Bitcoin.  Grin
877  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: July 04, 2016, 11:29:34 PM
To be honest I'm waiting for high prices to sell and then the fall back to $100 to rebuy. Although such a dip should always mean that something went bad...

It is tough to find out when to sell.
Are current prices high enough? $700 seems like a lot, if you compare where the price has been a few months ago.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: July 02, 2016, 03:56:48 AM
Congratulations to Wales, (i losed my bet, didn't expect too much goals). Belgium was one of the favorites to win the eurocup witch will be the next surprise? We will see a final Wales against Iceland?

Belgium will feel bad about losing the match after managing to take the lead.
I guess this will qualify as an upset.  Grin
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 02, 2016, 03:54:25 AM
No doubt England performed mind blowing into this 4th ODI and won this match by 6 wickets, now just 1 match remaining of this series but England have been won this so that it seems last match will be more interesting because Sri Lanka will do its best to win this match.

The fifth match is here now. England will be the favourites in this one, having already won the series.
Sri Lanka need to give a special performance here.
880  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go back to bellow $400? on: July 02, 2016, 03:51:43 AM
The block halving correction has already happened as the price went from $789 to under $530. The price is consolidating.

The price may be consolidating now, but we still have a good bull run to go in connection with the halving.
I suspect it will happen within one month after the halving.
