861  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is an imaginary concept, but humanity is enslaved by it on: March 11, 2015, 10:34:22 PM
Money isn't really the problem, it is how people tend to overvalue it over any other things. It is the greed of people that enslaves his kind, and money is just a medium on where Man can exhibit his greed.

Like George Carlin says << the World are fine, the people are fuc**ed>> and I think he has right. The problem here isn't the money but the people and for the moment there isn't a valid solution.
Nah, if people had their basic needs meet and a decent life, most of the criminal rates would go down. Of course not all would be fixed, but the main cause of violence would. The fact that some guy can park 5 jets on his backyard while others have to work life draining 9-5's + 2 hours of public transportation daily is a form of violence, you can't complain if some of these guys eventually snap.
862  Economy / Economics / Re: USA is now number 2 on: March 11, 2015, 10:32:21 PM
Well, if we would have been able to mass produce things at a cheap price using cheaper materials, we would have been the same. But we can't do that because we already owe China trillions.
I would rather be known for manufacturing quality stuff like Germany, than be the #1 wealthiest nation when the nation is a shithole producer of shit tier products of the lowest quality imaginable.
863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: African migrants using Bitcoin to send money home on: March 11, 2015, 10:24:28 PM
Great news, it's not only africa that has poor infractrustuctures, in places like india or even china... lots of places where bitcoin could inflitrate and spread like a nice virus.
864  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: March 11, 2015, 10:17:35 PM
My friend who is clueless about computers and finances got his first coins thanks to faucets and managed to make 0.1 out of gambling and altcoin trading, so dont understimate it.
865  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Big International Bitcoin Project on: March 10, 2015, 11:10:50 PM
Hi,

First of all, it is a real pleasure to join the Bitcoin community, our company has been working on a very big internet project for nearly 2 years, we are currently looking for VC to raise the necessary fund for this startup project that will cost around US$ 1.2 million.

Initially, we did not even knew about Bitcoin and was suppose to add some regular credit card solution to this project, however, based on the project requirements and structure, credit card processing has some loopholes like chargebacks, rolling reserve and high transaction fees.

After making some research, we found out that Bitcoin was just the right solution, although Bitcoin is not allowed in some countries, we sincerely think that this will go better in a very near future and that we can start the project even with some missing countries.

I am sure that this project will have a very good impact for the Bitcoin foundation as it will be an advertising resources for many businesses and wealthy individuals around the world, hence, it will be an honor and a pleasure for us to contribute to the growth of such intuitive innovation and future of internet transactions and ecommerce.
Sounds good, yet you do not provide any tangible information on the project, name, reference or website..
866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: March 10, 2015, 11:09:33 PM
I did some usual posting while having a break at work so I guess I won some satoshis since im on a signature advertisement campaing.
867  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trezor bug lost my bitcoins! on: March 10, 2015, 11:08:01 PM
This is why I don't really trust devices like these to store my bitcoins. I can do just fine with cold storage, but have you contacted Trezor's suport?

The problem described in this post has nothing to do with the Trezor device.  All it does is sign transactions; it's up to the PC to create a valid transaction in the first place.  The Trezor device has no idea how many bitcoins the user has.

OP can very likely just 'forget' the device on the website, then reconnect.
Still, im also paranoid enough to just stick to bitcoin-qt and paper wallets inside a box.
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50,000 BTC of auction have been sent! on: March 10, 2015, 11:07:07 PM
Sorry if it's been answered but I only skimmed through the first page. What were these coins sold for? Please tell me it's going to cover for the $300 difference.
It's probably sealed under secret, they aren't forced to disclose the price that the coins sold for.
869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the Federal Reserve Issue Their Own Cryptocurrency? on: March 10, 2015, 10:29:02 PM
Would it matter if the Federal Reserve issued their own cryptocurrency?
It would since most people are sheep and they would follow whatever is "official". Thing is, it can backfire and maybe all they do is drawn more attention to Bitcoin.
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone still living out of Bitcoin? on: March 10, 2015, 10:27:48 PM
There are many big sites that accept bitcoin but are not related, an example being dell and dish who both accept bitcoin.
But I guess those sites accept Bitcoin as an experiment, but make their living out of fiat money.

The whole point is that when I think about bitcoin, the only people I know who admit to make money out of it are gamblers and speculators.
And their final goal is to use bitcoin as a temporary method to increase their fiat money. That is a symptom of failure.
Small companies like shops are really skeptical and some of them declare to have lost money by accepting bitcoin,
If real and honest work is being exchanged for bitcoin, for me that is a symptom of success.

Most wil keep cashing out in fiat due the fact Bitcoin is still in its infancy. As merchant adoption arises it will be more and more pointless to cash out for deprecating fiat.
871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: African migrants using Bitcoin to send money home on: March 10, 2015, 10:25:50 PM
All these people that are fucked by day 0 because of the bad luck of being born on a shithole of a country deserve to do better and Bitcoin is finally a way to give these people a realistic chance at generating wealth, specially when blockchain is accessible through SMS soon.
It will be huge. Just imagine, faucets alone will be great for all these people living in severe poor countries.
It's already happening, snapcard can make SMS transactions workable right now:

872  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is not "it" on: March 09, 2015, 11:31:10 PM
Way too fucking early for a rally.

First off, nobody is going anywhere without Gemini and the Bitlicense. Any premature rally will get dumped on by miners from China.

Secondly and somewhat related to first point: nobody is going anywhere without the big ETF, which is dependent on Gemini proving that the market in the West won't easily be raped by the Chinese dump monkeys.

Lastly and most importantly, we're constantly skirting with the blocksize limit. The moment volume picks up and we see tens of thousands of unconfirmed transactions disregarded into the void, the media will scream about how flaky bitcoin is as a method of payment, to which the newbs will dump coins faster than fat kid after eating Taco Bell.

In 2015, we are in the "2012" phase of quiet transition. Nobody is going anywhere after the 80% slow bleed. None. Infrastructure is building at a rapid phase and the mainstream media is none the wiser. This is in fact, a good thing.

Just wait until the Winkies gets their hall pass from Uncle Ben, the ETF gets their stamp from Uncle Sam, and Gavincoin goes live, then perhaps we are due for The Big Fucking Rally, and then it's lights out for fiat.

I agree that 2015 is like 2012.
In 2012 the price went from around 2 to around 10.  Thats a 400% gain.

Perhaps in 2015 the price will go from around 200 to around 1000.  Personally, I'd rather buy closer to 200 than to 1000.  Smiley

I think not 2015, but 2016, and near 2017 we will smash the last ATH HARD and people that didn't amass as much BTC as possible during 2015 will cry tears of lava.
873  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money one of the three most important things in your life? on: March 09, 2015, 11:29:09 PM
no.  i live in a cave and need to crank on my device to get my bitcoin wallet to load.

if you had a farm and weapons with a large family/group actually you could probably live and have a good life without money.  Cave is stretching it. Grin
Actually if I had enough BTC i would live in some island and live of natural resources, then order overseas anything I needed with BTC.
874  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece now targets tax evaders! next step cyprus style! on: March 09, 2015, 11:24:42 PM
I don't think Greece have ever not targeted tax evaders or turned a blind eye to it just like pretty much every other nation doesn't (well, unless you've got connections. And the gov might not be able to take your coins away but they'll try and if they can't they can always lock you up in prison. You've always got to play by their rules sadly.
Well, if you are using social provided services like social healthcare they you have to pay these taxes. If you are using private services, then they should give the option to not pay said tax.
875  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: March 09, 2015, 11:22:59 PM
US will be raising interest rates this next year because its economy is doing so well, they don't have any new stimulus planned and no new money being printed gives people the impression that our currency is stable. Because of this, people will think the US dollar is more stable than the Euro which is why the dollar is gaining value over the Euro.
Indeed, but it's all an illusion, they are pumping more magic dollars to create a fake sense of trust so people keep supporting it.
876  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Sneak Peek of an Upcoming Exchange - Feedback required on: March 09, 2015, 11:21:42 PM
Can you sum up the differences between this and a regular solid exchange like Poloniex? I dont see why I should move my funds to there.
It says "the exchange allows for direct exchange of BTC and altcoins against fiat directly with users". I don't know if OP means this is an actua lp2p exchange or what.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a virus to humanity, just another thing to manipulate us. on: March 09, 2015, 11:19:01 PM
Bitcoin is the medicine for the virus that is the fiat global scam system, never a virus within itself.
878  Economy / Economics / Re: Catastrophic Meltdown Coming to America - Doug Casey on: March 06, 2015, 11:42:24 PM
Another useless prediction. If you can't provide a date, time, some actionable information there is no purpose in your prediction. It's not even a prediction, it's nonsense FUD. People on BCT have been predicting a crisis and crash for the past 3 years, where is it?
Where is it? It's happening. Look at EUR, that is USD future. The difference is USD can get away with shitting imaginary money and everyone will accepting it, but that cannot go on forever.
879  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: March 06, 2015, 11:41:00 PM
Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?
It might be much in 20 years price can't ever jump to more than 10,000$ because you know how fee take in each transaction
thats why no one will send 10 $ and cost him in fees 4 $ . so u can now store 20 bitcoins and you will be very rich in 20 years
Well, back in the day no one expected the price to reach 1k barely 3 years after release. So another bubble can happen, way higher than we can even imagine.
880  Economy / Economics / Re: Advice on buying a house (Netherlands, Amsterdam) on: March 06, 2015, 11:39:13 PM
If I had the money I would buy a nice small house over the countryside in waterland.

I would use solar panels to make it self sustainable, the problem is I dont know if they will snitch on me that im using solar panels and they would force me to pay some stupid ass tax.

A small car would be needed to take trips to the city and buy some legal pot Smiley
