861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please help with BIOS - XFX on: December 12, 2017, 10:40:08 AM
Here is the key of mod bios basic:
1. Polaris GPU 8 GB, copy strap of 1750 to above(2000).
2. Polaris GPU 4 GB, copy strap of 1500 to above.
other variables such as voltage, TDP, etc. You need to try and error for the best result. Good Luck Grin
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining! How and What? on: December 12, 2017, 07:58:50 AM
1. what to mine and how to mine and what to expect. (I am unclear on where to start)
Started from you reading about Mining types (like Mining use hardware or Cloudmining), Pools of Mining.

2. I also want to know how to find out the hash rate of a device.
2. you can go to this : https://whattomine.com/

4. Suppose I start mining coin 'A' and then I want to mine coin 'B'. Is it a good thing to switch? Is is even possible to switch like this?
4. Yes, maybe if you think a coin 'A' profit is low than a coin B.

pakai PCIE SPLITTER RISER MINING 1 TO 4 ya, sifu?
ane ngk pernah pake itu splitter(menurut ane kalau pake spliter logic nya: kayak anak SD disuruh ngerjain soal SMA tiap hari) gimana tuh nanti otaknya(Procesor).

864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: want to get started mining litecoin on: December 12, 2017, 07:17:11 AM
I don't have a graphics card yet. Would it be possible for me to mine litecoin on a CPU even though it won't be as efficient? What's a good software for this?
Yeah, You answered mining with CPU won't be efficient. Your CPU will to be broken and Your profit is low. But if you want still mining used CPU you can try minergate.

Does mining produce a trickle of coin daily, or do miners have to wait before they complete an entire block before getting any coins?
If mining is in POOL, miners have coins based on shared

Do I have to join a pool or would I be able to do it on my own?
If you think, you can get a block of coins without joining the pool. Yes, you can do it yourself. But if you think, you can not, Go join the pool.

If someone mines bitcoin, etherium, or litecoin, can they then send these coins to their coinbase account and sell from there?
Example: You will mine on POOL (like suprnova) then you send coins to the exchange market (like poloniex) and you can sell it there.

Note: I write exchange market like poloniex don't mean i recommended poloniex.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cannot get mobo to see 7th GPU on: December 12, 2017, 05:28:29 AM
Sorry, meant to add that i am running 75% TDP, which according to EWBF is about 115w per card
Am glad to hear that, but I suggest you to count every part from the worst condition. Mining process will force your machine, so you need everything in the max state. This is a good reference for you: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2238455.msg22584160#msg22584160
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining with macbook pro on: December 12, 2017, 03:14:17 AM
I already have 3 rigs I'm not looking to profit I'm looking to mine and hold possibly mine some coins now that will be worth more in the future. So if my laptop shits the bed I don't really care. I already have 4 brand new gtx 1070's sitting next to me I just don't have room for another rig so please just point me to a tutorial on how to setup mining on a macbook.....

Damn, I like your style, rich man!. You can try to find any CPU based coin in a few website that provides any coin info, such as https://whattomine.com/ , https://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency , etc.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cannot get mobo to see 7th GPU on: December 12, 2017, 03:08:14 AM
Be careful with your setup, I dont think 1200W PSU could handle 7x1070. I havent used that mobo yet, but basically your rig could boot with 6 GPUs, it means it also can boot with 7 GPUs as well.
I agree with you. Let's say this is under standard conditions (no OC/Undervolt), 1070 with 150Watt TDP, it means OP needs more power space when OP start mining process. And maybe the power issue is what caused your system didn't want to boot.
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining help? on: December 12, 2017, 02:56:46 AM
Is there anyone willing to spend a half hour chatting with me to point me the right direct? I would like to start mining litecoin, just to get my feet wet for now. I really don't even know where to begin, except I have a windows 10 machine. Will pay for time if needed.
You are in the right place, but why you didn't try to find any info here without asking first. Read and learn first before asking. So other people wouldn't say something like me. You need to know a basic knowledge about cryptocurrency itself, especially mining technique. After that, you can go to the next step. Some people can direct you to some product, but it will don't worth if you know nothing. You can read and learn as much as you can, and then implementation it with learning by doing. Good Luck!
869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Solutions for stuck transactions on: December 12, 2017, 02:45:18 AM
The main answer for all questions is to search. There are already very good answers and threads, just google for: stuck transaction site:bitcointalk.org
The first result is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.0
It cointains a lot more tips.
That's right. Many people only focus on their problem. They even didn't try to find solutions, just asking and waiting for someone to help him.
870  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Low Cost GPU Rig on: December 11, 2017, 10:55:39 AM
1. MSI H110M Pro VH. pakai alat converter ap ya bila bisa?

2.Geforce GTX 750Ti 2GB StormX Dual, 2 vga HIS Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 OC IceQ X2

3. rencana mau pakai vga HIS Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 OC IceQ X2 tapi kalau nubie coba pakai vga RX480 8GB/ RG 290x,390,295x2

3. Profit. 350K/day, Listrik token 100K/2 hari.
871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Solutions for stuck transactions on: December 11, 2017, 10:53:48 AM
You forgot to mention the most important thing.... set enough fees.

Solutions:
-Use higher fee, so you'll on priority.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Solutions for stuck transactions on: December 11, 2017, 10:25:22 AM
Many members here, asking "Please Help me, my transaction stuck!" or something like that.

First, what makes your transactions go stuck?
-This is a part of 10 minutes blocks.
-The network is often running at over capacity

Solutions:
-Check block explorer before sending your bitcoin. Bitcoin block time is 10 minute, and blcokchain will maintain the block time to keep 2016 block solved in 14 days. It means, after poor block, we will find faster block.
-Use higher fee, so you'll on priority.
-Use Transaction Accelerator.

Ex.
Let's are using viabtc.
Open https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ , Input your tx id, enter the Captcha and Submit.

Good Luck!
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I want to start mine zcash for on: December 11, 2017, 10:17:48 AM
ZCash uses the Equihash algorithm and ZCash is more friendly with NVIDIA, 1080Ti or 1070. One of the main advantages of using NVIDIA cards is their power-efficiency.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Altcoin Using my GPU on: December 11, 2017, 09:54:38 AM
My laptop has a Video Card from:
NVIDIAŽ GeForceŽ GTX 1050 with 4GB GDDR5.

What is the best way to configure and start mining
altcoins, thank you all in advance.
I'm worried if you plan to mine with a laptop. Your laptop will be damaged and your profits will be lower than the electric bill. You should not use a laptop for mining.I suggest buy one by one hardware instead of having to force your laptop for mining.
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what is the best alt coin to start mining? on: December 11, 2017, 09:24:11 AM
Before starting the Altcoin mine. You must understand GPU Types, Like AMD or NVIDIA Card. Because of both GPU series have little Different in work to be mining. some AMD Cards is very good if play in ETHASH and some NVIDIA Card is very good if played in Equihash.
Actually, if you give a little time to read in this forum thread. You will find the same topic plus you get the solution.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Recommendation of coins to mine! on: December 11, 2017, 06:07:57 AM
Greetings fellow miners,
I would like to know your opinion on your set of alt coins mining right now and why do you believe in it?
Currently, I am mining ETH with 6xRX480, RX 1x470, RX 2x580 and R9 Series 4x290, 1x290x, 1x390, 1x295x2. Because the exchange rate to BTC back good. and for electricity bills every month is lower than the profit I get.
877  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Bitmain The APW3++ on: December 11, 2017, 05:23:29 AM

878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest me a rig for ETH? on: December 11, 2017, 04:43:57 AM
I'm not new in this but i would like to know i have 2500 euros and i want to invest in rig, i want to mine ETH. Can you tell me what to buy and how much i can expect per month? I know maybe 2500 euros (almost 3000$) is not too much but i would like to see suggestions and think to buy.
You can buy a motherboard: (like Asrock Pro BTC), Processor adjusts to the motherboard chipset itself, SSD (like Samsung 64GB or 128 GB), PSU 80+ (like Corsair or Evga), PCIe USB Raiser. And for GPUs Card can choose series RX 480,580 or Series R9 290. if how much your profit mine depends on the coin that will be mining.(just in my opinion)
879  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Bitmain The APW3++ on: December 11, 2017, 04:02:45 AM
maaf nanya gan, kalau arti tanda "80++" itu apa ya?
lalu class brze, gold, platinum itu apa maksudnya?

terima kasih

880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Altcoin Solo Mining without mining Hardware! (how to) on: December 11, 2017, 03:57:57 AM

Chapter One (Introduction)

This is what I was doing a few years ago (2015), but this method still relevant to applying nowadays. And I try to explain it as simple as possible.
If you aren't familiar with Solo Mining, follow the link below to know it.

https://www.hashgains.com/wiki/s/what-is-solo-mining

Chapter Two (Preparation and Action)

It can be called as Pooled Mining, Just because the pool is own private pool, the pool wallet is our own, and miner who mine on this pool are only (us), then let's call this is as Solo Mining.

NEXT***

Step by Step Guide:

1. Build a Mining Pool
ethermine.org, supernova.cc, ckpool.org, etc. That is a mining pool examples (just in case you don't know it- Tongue)
You can find here, a full explanation of a Mining pool: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining_pool

We can use MPOS, NOMP, UNOMP, CK Pool code, etc. (as an example)

MPOS----------  https://github.com/MPOS/php-mpos
NOMP----------  https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal
UNOMP--------- https://github.com/UNOMP/unified-node-open-mining-portal
CK Pool code-    https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool
etc....

Please find your own reference to a Mining Pool Software that supports Multi Algo nor that suits your needs.

2. Profitability Calculating
After successfully built a Mining Pool, the next step is to find the coin that we want to mine, and of course, not just any coin, but must be a coin that profits for us for solo mining. Then how to calculate the profitability of the coin itself.

Here are a few things that you need to know as counting variable:

  • Coin Prices
  • Block Reward
  • Network Hashrate (Global Hashrate)
  • Block Time

Where do we find the coins with all counting variable that we need?

https://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency
http://whattomine.com/calculators
Coins announcement section on this forum.
OR
Wherever, you can Google it, somehow (it's your way)

Next, look at coin technical data that chosen. Clue: find a good logo, or maybe a good coin name, like Bitch-Coin, maybe. (Just kidding  Grin)

The Calculation
Let's say you have determined that the coin will be mined is Bitch-Coin with technical data as follows:

Coin Prices: $10
Block Reward: 10 Bitch
Network Hashrate (Global Hashrate): 50 MH / s
Block Time: 1 Minute

Let's ignore its algorithm.

With 1 minute Block Time, the estimated solved block per hour is 60 blocks or 60 (number of a solved block) X 10 (Block Reward) = 600 Bitch
Then, make sure that the block time is suitable !. Check on block explorer (according to the coin), whether the distance of each block matches. Just estimated it, cause, in fact, block time will affect by a few factors.
Network Hashrate shows the total hashrate from all over the world doing the mining process on the coin. Therefore we must have at least 10-50% Hashrate. So, that our mining pool solves at least 10% -50% block (again, this is only rough calculation and estimation). And Coin prices in the market become the last determinant, whether we will profit or not.

Ignore 51% Attack

From the above data, let's assume that we have 50% Global Hashrate, and we were solving 50% block (in 1 hour). Means, 30 blocks (considering 60 blocks solved in 1 hour) X 10 Coin (block reward) X $10 (coin price) = $3000 (one hours mining)

3. Renting Hashrate
Then where we get the above Hashrate to do the mining process ?. We can rent the hashrate from several Hashrate rental service websites like Nicehash, miningrigrentals, etc. Hashrate renting price must be lower than the calculations we do above.

Chapter Three (Closing)

What I wrote above is just a general illustration, in fact, it would be not that easy.  But I can say for sure that I'm doing that and my (50-100% sometimes more) profit, comes around 2-3 hours (exclude coins research). If you didn't have physical miners, it could be your option to mine.

Good luck everyone, and Happy Mining!
