861  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New virus created that can completely wreck Apple computers on: August 06, 2015, 03:10:26 AM
Well, that's  bad news for me. I use a Macbook. This virus could cost me my computer. Hopefully there is some way to get myself protected.
862  Other / Meta / Re: Banned in Bitcointalk for 1 month on: August 06, 2015, 02:55:23 AM
Anyone running a signature campaign is going to be a target of selective enforcement here, as they are in direct competition with selling forum ads, which is the main source of income for the forum, and even possibly indirectly the source of the staff/moderators pay.
Oh come on if they target signature users here there would be a lot more bans, you're just a bit biased in this area due to a disagreement with the staff. The guy was probably just posting nonsense non stop.

Believe whatever you like. Does any of that change that fact that that is where their paycheck comes from?
Their paycheques come from ads and donations. They don't care about signature campaigns.
863  Other / Meta / Re: Staff Hypocrisy and Selective Enforcement of Rules on: August 06, 2015, 02:51:00 AM
I don't mean to say "TL;DR" but give me a break. You are such a whiner. Reading all of those posts made me want to stop reading this thread. Only reason I read it was because it was linked to OP's signature.
864  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: August 05, 2015, 08:13:00 PM
As a mental health advocate, I cannot condone suicide, and I think it's inappropriate and rude to bring up in normal conversation. That being said, it's difficult for ANYBODY to read sarcasm since text comes with no body language. I believe more awareness needs to be aroused on the matter of suicide and internet, but now I am getting off topic.

If you lose your life savings or go bankrupt, there is always hope. It may really suck but bite the bullet and start over.

Read the top thread. Newbies have no reputation. You have to rank up.
866  Economy / Services / Re: [Looking for] - Authors / Writers / Publishers / Reporters / Reviewers on: August 05, 2015, 07:36:43 PM
Looks like a good site. I'll definitely consider writing for you for some side income.

I would like to update my rank to "Member". Thanks.
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Spare GALAXY S5 as Hardware Wallet on: August 05, 2015, 07:32:31 PM
Phones aren't really great to use as hardware wallets. I would suggest using tezor, or alternatively you could send the 100 mBTC to a paper wallet for cold storage.
869  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 05, 2015, 07:11:34 PM
Faucets are fun when you're bored or have absolutely nothing else to do with your time. Signature campaigns can pay big. I don't consider it work really because I enjoy posting forums like this one. As long as your posts are not spam, and contribute you will be surprised how much you can make.
870  Other / Politics & Society / Should we kick more people off welfare? on: August 05, 2015, 07:02:17 PM
First of all before I begin this post I would like to explain my financial situation. I live in a social assistance building in downtown Vancouver and I collect $541 from the provincial government after paying rent. I filed my taxes and I get a $100 GST cheque from the government every two months. I am currently saving up money to service my Windows laptop and get my projects off that laptop.

A lot of people who live in my building spend their disability cheques on drugs and alcohol. The residents get quite irritable and angry when free lunches are canceled. They push themselves ahead in line when asking for meds, and do a poor job keeping the building secure. Drug dealers roam the building selling drugs to residents because the dealers friend who lives here buzzed them in.

I just think that it's public money not being sufficiently spent. I am one of only 5 people on welfare who work in my building or have any kind of job skills whatsoever. That being said, bitcoin is not hardcore computer science, they could at least buy a cheap netbook and earn from Bitcoinget and other sites to go buy themselves lunch. I suppose begging other people to feed them just sounds easier than planning and working.
871  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Will buy bitcoins wih PayPal on: August 05, 2015, 06:41:51 PM
So many scammers on this site. You are seriously bringing negative energy into this forum. So, in turn you will be negatively repped. I suggest you either put your website as collateral or otherwise you aren't going to get the loan.
872  Economy / Economics / Re: It's happening: Puerto Rico just defaulted for the first time on: August 05, 2015, 06:02:51 PM
Just wait and watch, there will be more members coming to defaulters list.

which will be translated in more opportunity to embrace and increase bitcoin price, hopefully at least oen of those will turn the light off on fiat if not we can get at least a good hype that might make bitcoin stronger

Despite how unrealistic it seems for a country to really adopt bitcoin, if it happens then it would be really mind blowing. All the people who have owned a bitcoin will be instantly rich, richer than what they were for sure. I am sometimes surprised how the world is so slow to adopt crypto, as a kid I always imagined that digital money could conquer the world.
People don't understand the value of Bitcoin because the price moves around so much. I suspect as more people adopt, states will begin to use it as their official currency.
873  Other / Off-topic / What do you do with most of your day? on: August 04, 2015, 10:29:22 PM
I was wondering with most Bitcoiners on this forum did with the majority of their time. I'm semi-employed in real life and spend a bunch of my time on the computer everyday posting on this forum to earn from signature campaigns. I spend my free time socializing with my friends and playing Half-Life 2 (reliving old memories).
874  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 04, 2015, 06:37:30 PM
If I were to pick between gold and Bitcoin in terms of preserving and investing my assets, I would say Bitcoin. It has the potential to fluctuate above $1000 within a matter of years and in my opinion it's the way of the future. Gold goes up and down, but there is strong potential behind Bitcoin.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: August 04, 2015, 05:52:24 PM
I don't think gambling can fix anyone's life...maybe make it better if they win a lot, but fix it? No, I don't think that's possible. It can most definitely wreck your life though, because money is involved. You do see the occasional sob story of a guy who lost money he couldn't afford to lose. Some of them are probably fake, but some are also probably real.

There is a very small % of people that win in the long run, compared to those who lose.  For them, they are usually highly skilled and make a career out of it.  For your average joe, I think it's just the possibility of winning that outweighs the fact that the odds are against you.

Have you guys ever seen a casino in a less affluent area?  There are people there, stationed beside slot machines, and it looks like they haven't seen light in ages.  It's a very depressing environment.  Didn't look like they work, so possibly spending their social security money in the casino.  It reminded me of the morlocks, for anyone that watches x-men (mutants that live in the sewers and never show their face in society).
Either way, the risks for most far outweigh the benefits. Sure, there are a few people who can make a living out of it, but even the most skilled poker players end up going broke more often than not. I think the idea of pro-gambling is non-existent.
876  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: August 04, 2015, 05:21:33 PM
its easy..just do some hard work and don't take any type of shortcuts..well that's depend on you to invest or not and also depends on how much amount you have target

Again, hard work never gets you anywhere. You can't work hard for live simply because your health will deteriorate due too much stress and high cortisol. A some sort of passive income is needed to not go insane. I need something that will give me money doing nothing or as little energy spent as possible, just like the rich do. Being rich is so easy, they just rent their properties and spend the rest of the day on leisure. I wish I was that lucky.

I know many men who have worked hard all their life and are now old, poor men.

Working hard alone isn't good enough.  You must work smart.
True that. This is what I like about Bitcoin. In today's economy, you work long hard hours and make little money. At least with bitcoin there are ways to earn money by investment, or passive income as previously mentioned. I'm still waiting to see if BitGold will pay out their $10 referral bonus.
877  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 04, 2015, 03:25:19 PM
Signature campaigns are the easiest part time job I have ever witnessed, all you need to do is maintain post activity and write about relevant content, you have the liberty to choose from a wide range of topics and write something in which you truly believe. You are paid in btc and it all goes directly into your btc wallet. You get paid weekly, and only as much as you have worked. How awesome is that Wink
yes indeed , your right again , but most campaigns have limit so even though we post constructive posts more than 100 which is max , that's it , no more payment after 100 but in case of ur campaign , I've heard no limit so its good for you guys Smiley
It has been said time and time again. By far one of the easiest and most effective ways to earn bitcoin is to rank up and join a signature campaign. I'll be receiving my first payment this week.
878  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: August 04, 2015, 03:22:02 PM
In my opinion I think you should have a savings for sure. You need have enough emergency money around for when things get difficult. As far as investments are concerned, gambling shouldn't even be considered an investment. The best investment in my opinion is bitcoin itself.
879  Economy / Speculation / Re: 280->400->350->600, New ATH late 2016 on: August 04, 2015, 04:02:00 AM
Chart seems to predict possible pump and dumps over the coming months to halving. I'm getting in now and holding. The price as it always does will flux up and down and I think now is the best time to buy or invest in bitcoin.
880  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: August 04, 2015, 03:52:06 AM
If you have a degree in computer engineering or some background experience in computer programming, there are many new coding jobs popping up all the time. In addition, signature campaigns are a great way to earn bitcoin talking about something you're passionate about.
