Bitcoin is dead, I'm selling mine at a 80% loss. Moving on to a different crypto. BITCOIN IS DEAD!
Which crypto is better in your opinion?

Polycoin ofcourse....

Btw.... Hi, polycoin. Keep making new account huh? How many you got right now?

Enough of these BS. Go post in Chinese section pls because nobody cares anymore.

WTF, seriouscoin?

Your statement is manifestly false, as _I_ care, and at least one person makes it other than 'nobody'.

Here we have a willing person, expending effort to bring us their (presumably) best translation - unfiltered news we otherwise wouldn't be getting. And you want to spit in his/her face?

Go away, sober up, get some sleep, and come back only when you can appreciate what others are doing for you.

Maybe because i understand Chinese culture better?

These are not "news" In China, there are tons of BS "news". All these exchanges KNOW exactly what their future holds but they're not gonna tell you the truth.

So the more "news" from bunch of unknown sources arent gonna help you understand better. Take it from someone who had lived in China for several years.

How did you manage to lose 80% if it's only like 60% down from ATH?
LOL check his post history, you will know how Wink

Worst troll ever.
865  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: May 07, 2014, 12:53:15 PM
No, we monitor the temperature of ASICs/on board, not the fan activity.
Good luck!

What happens if the temperature in the room goes higher than that? I have an airconditioner that sometimes decides to turn off on its own (yes it needs replacement).
In that case your device will stop mining/shutdown?

yes

These Chinese exchanges think we're fools or what? Just shut down or move outside of China. Stop lying already

868  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} WHAT THE:!( Butterfly Lads won't deliver the Monarch Till JUNE or JULY:( on: May 07, 2014, 05:34:15 AM
LOL!

In August I will be receiving 2 x 6.5 Th/s SP30s - 2U for under $4500 each DELIVERED. To get the same amount of hash from BFL I would spend over $51,000 USD based on their stated $/gh pricing and have 0 expectation on a delivery date as they have NOTHING working yet. I spent only $8991 USD with shipping to Norway for 13Th/s delivery in August 2014.

There is absolutely NO WAY anyone ordering BFL today or last week will get their units in August 2014. Game over BFL. You lost. I am taking shipment next week of Bitmain S2 for only $2100 USD that does 1 Th/s which is only $ 2.10 / Gh. Much much cheaper than the $ 3.66 / Gh post on BFL site. It is amazing that BFL thinks the competition cost $ 17.50 /GH. They are living in the past or lying on their website.

Power numbers as well. They don't have a working prototype and they are saying their power numbers are better? Please. Proof is in a real working item as we all know what BFL power numbers mean. Pfft. Game over BFL, game over.

yeah for those that did not get BFL News here is the link they just sent the mind boggles

http://us6.campaign-archive2.com/?u=5015fc3486176144c53751877&id=4cba49d604&e=7bb6242f2b

Again got my refund but if it was not for the troubles with Sonny V's probation and such I'm fairly sure
I would have not gotten a full refund after 1 year and 1 day from BFL on may 2nd 2013 not much of a
coincidence imho that the if you did not get your order in 6 months we will refund came up around the
time Sonny V's probation for mail fraud was being re-investigated...(naw that can't be right huh  Smiley )

anyway do what you can to evade their clutches ..I see them pulling the plug on BFL just like Gox
here soon..only so far you can run this scam string out imho...no sales ..forced refunds means it
all is gonna go 'boom'

(man so frigging happy I got a refund....fight like hell to get the same if you can)

Searing

I dont get anyone in US would bother asking for refund thro email. They will just ignore it. Go talk to them FACE TO FACE. See if they can say no. Bring legal paper to show they're violating FTC. I would break that dickhead face if he ever talk like how he posts online (Inaba).

Btw, do they even dare to go to any bitcoin conference? I suggest you all go there and shut their booth down.
869  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8500 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: May 07, 2014, 05:16:51 AM
There's 2 possible break points.  There's ~2.1b and ~4.2b.  One is for signed 32-bit, one is for unsigned.  BTC Guild's luck took a sharp turn starting ~6 weeks ago.  That is right in line with the network difficulty passing 4.2b (March 24).

Luck for BTC Guild and Eligius both started trending negative a little earlier than that.  Roughly February.  However, this wasn't bad enough on either pool to simply rule out variance for that time frame.  For BTC Guild it was ~6% negative in March.  For Eligius it was ~5% negative.  However, February is when 2.1b break point (Jan 24th adjustment put diff over that amount) would have triggered.

Right now the largest users that had definite anomalies in their shares vs blocks solved have had accounts frozen, and one group has contacted me and is looking into it.  If they come back and it is a definite 'Yes, something was broken in our software/firmware/hardware', then at least the problem is identified and will be fixed.

Interesting that when the Chinese A1 chips miners were shipped in bulk from multiple sources. Probably some Chinese farms were being built with these miners as well.

Its also bugging me that CK asked them to release their source code and they completed ignored. I've been warning others in hardware section about this but noone seems to care... " Oh look miner reports 1TH/s, thats all i need"
870  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: May 07, 2014, 01:54:33 AM
Spondoolies, does the SP10 firmware check fans activity?

I'm about to test my air chamber and i'm ready to remove the fans (PSU fan is still intact)

Let me know if its a problem with the FW.

Thanks
871  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8500 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: May 07, 2014, 01:17:56 AM
It would be very evil for a hardware manufacturer to neuter their own hardware via a firmware update, but based on the way KNC has been treating their customers lately, I wouldn't put it past them.  Angry

+1

I moved to another pool until we know what the problem is. I've been mining since early 2011 and i agree that its not a normal bad luck streak.

Why not use immersion cooling instead of an AC?

Novec is only $250/gallon and I think you would need about 2-4 gallons per sp30.

LOL Novec isnt magic liquid  Roll Eyes Its still just a medium of heat exchange. You have to dump those heat somewhere.

Dont be confused because Novec can conduct heat every well hence the advantage is DENSITY, not cooling.

You need a heat pump to remove heat.

So you dont compare just the cost of Novec to the cost of A/C.

AC is a heat pump while to using AIR to conduct heat (air circulation in the room)

A correct comparison would be $500-750 vs $0 (air is free)

You can just pump the heated water to an outdoor radiator+fan. No expensive and power hungry AC necessary.

Or you can dump it to the ground..... you completely missed the point.

What exactly is your point?

Being feasible, are you done dreaming?

You're talking about a custom cooling setup that requires setup cost, expensive materials and knowledge.

Put it this way, someone want to make his car more efficient and fuel economical. He plans to do some weight deduction and air intake. You come in and tell him to rig it off , put an electrical motor and build a plug-in hybrid.

Lets assume cost is not a concern, you think its easy?

10kW of heat is still 10kW of heat no matter what type of cooling you're using. You think the poster would be able to know what kind of heatpump he'd need? You think making an immersion tank is cheap and easy? Sure, just use a radiator and a pump right? until his tank pressure build up.

Its not a setup for 3 SP30s due to high setup cost and certainly not for someone whos not sure if they would mine long term. The AC can be re-purposed while your fancy setup would be a write off.

We all know you're awesome with "immersion setup" lets get back to reality ok?

I recommend this : http://www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-Single-Zone-Split-Conditioning-System/dp/B0060OU3DO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1399297076&sr=8-3&keywords=mitsubishi+split+air+conditioner

It can be used for home if you no longer mining.

Always get Mitsubishi system, the best split system bar none

Easy to install, and heatpump is outside for best efficiency

It is a nice a/c, but IMHO It is useless to waste energy cooling something that is so energy efficient.
Also, those a/c's are not designed for a 100% duty cycle, as are for home use.

You either decide to send it to a DC, or build a nice polyurethane kiosk and use at least 4x 40w industrial fans with extra filters used for electrical cabinets.
http://www.brenclosures.com.au/pdfs/texa_datasheets/TX-FAN28.pdf

It will do the job and keep also a low energy consumption.

Dude, you compare 2 completely different scenarios. The whole point of using split system is because ..... you dont have ventilation !!!! Gee...

If you can vent air to exchange with the outside then, A/C doesnt help much.

I believe the poster want to use closet. Last time i check my closet doesnt have windows or balcony.

so does anyone have their sp10's a home?
how much heat do they put out?

I was thinking of storing 4 SP30s in rack in a closet and sticking a self contained 12,000 BTU air conditioning system in there.  Do you guys think that will be enough?

4x sp30 will create approximately 12 kw of heat.

A single ac of 12,000 btu can absorb around 3.5kw of heat.

Noway then.

So what you're saying is that I need something like this??

http://www.amazon.com/TRIPP-LITE-Cooling-Conditioner-SRCOOL33K/dp/B0082PYTWK/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1399258315&sr=8-14&keywords=self+contained+air+conditioner

Yes , that would do the job for sure, but your bill would go high to the sky.
It consumes alone around 3kw.

I would suggest to build a nice small insulated kiosk and use fans with filters to circulate the air.
You can leave it at the balcony.

Mkae sure you have exhaust as well.  They pump out a TON of heat.  They pull ~ 1500W at the wall (I have two).

You mean the AC? I thought its for datacenter only,  did you measure thro PDU?
