861  Economy / Economics / Re: Antivirus Pioneer John McAfee Commits Suicide on: June 29, 2021, 07:25:20 PM
According to El País, citing police sources, John McAfee, an anti-virus pioneer, killed himself in his prison cell at Brians 2 Penitentiary in Barcelona.
Prison guards found McAfee dead today. Medical specialists have not been able to resuscitate him.
Investigations into his death are ongoing, but the report states that all signs indicate suicide.
McAfee's extradition to the United States was approved by the Spanish National Court on Wednesday.
This great figure in the field of technology was arrested in October 2020 on charges of tax evasion in Barcelona.
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) also sued McAfee for allegedly paying money to advertise an "ICO" initial public offering on social media.
U.Today extends its sincere condolences to the McAfee family.
Meehn Sad this is very bad!!! Okay he did a lot of bad things and everyone never liked him for that, and to be truthful I also didn’t like the things he did and kind of got irritated when people talk about him always on the forum, but I never wished for him to die like this. I might have felt like he deserved going to jail, which of course he deserved if he really committed the crimes he was accused of, but I never wished him this, I don’t feel he deserved to die like this and I kind of feel sorry for him though.

This news was kind of shock  to me, but anyways, I hope he rest in peace. And let this also serve as a lesson to others that may wish to tread this same part.
862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 29, 2021, 06:46:38 PM
It's like a punch in the moon, even with kawhi on board they'll still have a hard time defending a well rounded team like Suns. There are so much to guard on, not only we can say that Ayton is unstoppable at the moment. Plus, CP3 feels like he's still on his effin prime playing like he's 15 years younger  Grin Then booker on the other side is a time bomb, can explode anytime he wants.

The ball is still round as you say, Let's see if pandemic P and rest of the clippers can pull off a miracle and win the series.

Though, Terance Mann is as well a time bomb on the other side but still not that nourished unlike booker. Let's see, I must say this season is much better than last year Haha
I do not think that it is that difficult. First of all there has been 3-1 comebacks in playoffs many times before (clippers should know lol) and they are really fighting off really well. I am not saying that Clippers will win this series, you have to be crazy to think that is the big possibility, of course the team that is ahead 3-2 has the bigger chance to win the series, of course Suns is looking more likely go to finals (which I am very happy about), however that doesn't mean that Clippers have zero chance. Winning 2 games in a row is not unlikely and there is a good chance they could do it. We just have to wait and see.

However I believe Kawhi coming back will not help as much as people think, Kawhi is not a player that shares the ball a ton and makes everyone around him better, he is an individual star and when he comes back PG13 will be a lot worse, which could hurt their chances.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 28, 2021, 10:25:34 PM
Quote
Everton fans have continued to voice their opposition to the imminent appointment of Rafa Benitez as manager, with a threatening banner left close to the home of the former Liverpool boss.

The sinister message, which read ‘We Know Where You Live. Don’t Sign’, was hung near to Benitez’s residence on the Wirral.
https://www.goal.com/en/news/banner-outside-home-rafa-benitez-everton-talks/rf98xfwpxk8p1e4b6trrxojpm

Threats from Everton fans don't play around, they look very serious about this. I think he will think twice about getting into Everton.

Really foolish from them, Liverpool - Everton was never that kind of rivalry. He is a Liverpool legend but he left more than 10 years ago, these kind of threats should not be a part of football.

I really love Benitez but it remains to be seen how good is he anymore - he spent his last 5 managerial years in Newcastle and China. There are probably better options available for Toffees, Rafa is surely past his best.
I do agree that Benitez and Everton is a horrible match, not only because Benitez is a Liverpool legend and he should not be part of a club like that, it is like seeing Mourinho managing Barcelona or pep managing real Madrid one day, to add into examples and those type of stuff should not happen in football, fans do have a say in these things and even though it is not 100% and they just let it be, when you get someone that the fans literally HATE instead of just disapprove then you are going to get in trouble.

However even with that in mind I would have to say that its really impossible to understands how "we know where you live" is acceptable in any terms, that is not only a bad thing to do as a football fan but that sounds like a crime at the very least, like whoever did that should be definitely jailed and questioned and put on court, not a big punishment of course just a small fine or something but that is seriously bad.
864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terms and condition a must read before signing up any online gambling site on: June 28, 2021, 04:47:28 AM
The problem is that often these texts can be very long, so it's hard to actually put yourself to reading all of it. But not reading at all is definitely too risky. I think that if a person is not willing to read all of it, the following things should be searched for and read: KYC policy, restricted countries, minimum/maximum deposit/withdrawal, rules (like no multi-accounting, perhaps no VPN and stuff like that). Also, if one's interested in bonuses, the wager requirements and other related conditions should be read.
You're right that this topic deserves attention. It seems to me that people often have negative experience because of being unfamiliar with the terms.
Sometimes it isn't even mentioned in terms and conditions while the casino would come up with a story that it was self-understood that using a VPN was not allowed while some casinos, namely stake, allows the use of VPN since it protects the identity of the player.

Play at a reputed and well known casino and you should not have too many hiccups on your way to cashing the profits.
865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My evolution to playing on Bitcoin casinos on: June 27, 2021, 09:39:13 PM
You don't just want to trust that a casino is "honestly fair". You want it to be provably fair, in the sense that you are able to verify every roll that you undertake to be legitimate.
That's the most fascinating thing about gambling with crypto because I am a gambler for decades and the only thing that made me leave the traditional gambling for crypto gambling was this verifiable betting system and the overall provably fair scheme along with instant payments.

I think that another underrated trait of a good casino to play on is one that is not too tight about the KYC/AML requirements. Even if they are regulated, casinos can use certain KYC/AML requirements against you and hold your funds hostage while you conduct them.
That is unfortunately though becoming a trend even in the crypto casinos, they ask for KYC more often now and I think this is one area of concern because if I have to verify myself and if I am a sports bettor, I would 5 times more prefer betting on a solid site like bet365 than any of these incomplete crypto sites because honestly, they cannot match the fiat sportsbooks.

Crypto casinos are not asking for KYC yet but sportsbooks have started verifying players more and more for some unknown reason.
866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your trading strategies ? on: June 27, 2021, 09:15:34 PM
Recently my trading strategies that I bought bitcoin when bitcoin price more than $40000 and holding but recently market crashing, it already lost more than a $670 dollars. It's my biggest lost because I sold all my cryptocurrencies and converted into Bitcoin. Now I am waiting for roadmap to $40k again...
Do you know what's a good point you can think about and calm yourself? That is, you still have BTC and while their value might have dropped in fiat but the BTC are the same, I mean if you have 0.99 BTC and price drops, you will have 0.99 and hence you just need to wait for the right time and bull run to cash your coins.
867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 26, 2021, 08:25:15 PM
With Inter winning the "middle" season (where we had pandemic as a full season, not the end, and probably not the start like the next one) we are going to definitely see some changes. I am not saying that it is going to be easy for any team, but I do not think that Inter will have that chance once again this easily.

However I still do not see Roma as a threat, they got Mourinho which is nice, but when the best transfer you make whole season is your manager that is obvious that you are not going to end up with something that good in the long term. Obviously you need to have something that is going to change the whole team and that could be manager but that alone will not make you champions. Juventus on the other hand is coming back with fire, after so many years of championship in a row, they are not happy about losing it last year and will try their best this year.
868  Economy / Economics / Re: USD Inflation over the last century. Bitcoin can protect you even in the US. on: June 24, 2021, 06:55:17 PM
Not sure if you guys are considering the current drop in prices of crypto or not but that does seem to me worst hit assets. I mean bitcoin itself is half the value of its ATH and the price is not two digit or three digit but it’s whooping five digits guys so it’s highly highly unstable to overcome our inflation?
I am thinking that bitcoin can not protect us in that situation.
I am able to get the frustrations of those people who bought around ATH but how about all other people who are holding bitcoins since 2011 or even from 2010? For such people, bitcoin must be helping to get protected from inflation, right?

For you, it may be a right approach to consider about ATH with respect to current price levels but for me, I am holding since 2017 and I am still into profits and I never need to worry on recent drop. So, how you are making use of bitcoin will define how much financial freedom you may enjoy against inflation and all other economic related problems.
869  Economy / Economics / Re: When everybody tell you take take risk with money on: June 24, 2021, 09:36:32 AM
They tell you to take the riskiest gambling with your life. After you take MONEY risk, you are gambling with your life and death, you loss the money the future await you is hell and death!
When everything in our life is being measured in terms of money, then it would be highly sensible to risk with money. Honestly I could not get your point of not risking with money. Because, we risk with money to earn money. If you risk with bitcoin then you may get bitcoins and if you risk with gold then you may get profits or losses in gold. Some other things may get you other things still it may be in same value as measuring everything in money is usual practice in this world.

You can take any risk but never take risk with your MONEY!!
You are really confusing. You may say like this: "take risk but not for all your 100% money; risk only 5% to 10% of your total available money"
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Don't Want To Hear Anybody Crying When BTC Will Reach 1M Per Coin! on: June 24, 2021, 07:42:33 AM
If you've failed all these times you deserve staying poor. No offence, but I think you had all the chances in the world. We can't make you rich by force.
Lol can’t stop laughing about this, Grin. Some people are very funny , they never seize the opportunity when it is right there and staring them in the eyes, rather they will prefer to while away their time in things that’s never going to help them. And after they will come and be asking serious annoying question. I have been seeing a lot of them on this forum lately asking of when Bitcoin will reach $100,000.

Funny enough there are always people who have their time to answer such question, but I don’t have the time for it. I am not even expecting such price movement to be anytime soon, it’s definitely going to be taking a really long time.
871  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do Not Sell! Don't Let The Whales Get Your Precious BTC! on: June 24, 2021, 06:37:43 AM
Now it's raining but good times are ahead. If you look at the whole picture BTC is doing great and I'm sure we will see BTC at $100k and beyond. But for now you need diamond hands, HODL! The weak hands will be lost along the road. Being rich is not for everybody Cheesy Remember, 1 BTC is still 1 BTC!
Yes, it’s best to hold. If you invested in Bitcoin when it reached ATH and you’re currently at loss now, the best thing is to continue with your hold. I don’t know how long it is going to take, maybe one year, two or even four years during the next halving, but one thing I do know for sure is that the price of Bitcoin is going to get back up again and just like the op has said, there is a good chance that we would reach up to hundred thousand dollars then.

And come to think of it, if you’re someone that bought at highest price this year and then market crashed. If you sell it now, what exactly do you gain? So there is no need of selling it, it’s best to just continue with the HODL and leave the assets there until the market is fully recovered and you are able to recover all your losses.
872  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it possible to lose all your money invested Bitcoin in 2021? on: June 23, 2021, 09:12:40 PM
Many people invested in bitcoin when bitcoin was a peak and when they see this falling, they panic and sell bitcoin fast. But people who knew bitcoin before 2020 know that if bitcoin is falling, bitcoin will rise stronger. They only need to wait for a while and hold on tight bitcoin and not sell, and they can buy more because it is like a discount to them. Yes, it has happened multiple times from a long time ago. But if you sell your bitcoin at this downtrend, you will lose your money, and that will be difficult for you to buy back bitcoin because your money is reduced, and if you buy bitcoin, you will not get the same amount.
That is just the normal way of the market. You should not expect everyone to make correct decisions, in fact it is more often the wrong decisions the general public will make and that is very obvious in these type of markets. Just let people make their mistakes and it will be easier to just let it be in the end knowing you are a better trader/investor than most other people.

This is a game for the newbies, they do put their money in but they do not realize how serious this is, a good investor could retire in under 10 years, obviously you will not be super rich, you will probably "barely" retired (may need work just here and there maybe) but at the end of the day if you are smart enough, in under 10 years, you could have enough to buy a house and then save some aside somewhere and that's it, no money problem again. Unfortunately many noobs do not realize how serious it could be and just make stupid decisions.
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you make money with NFTs? on: June 23, 2021, 08:23:07 PM
I've seen people making millions of dollars selling NFTs on popular blockchain platforms. Things that were thought to be worthless are now worth a ton of cash. While all of this sounds great, it's not easy to create a unique NFT that would gain demand on the market. High gas fees on the ETH blockchain, makes it unprofitable to sell NFTs on it. Binance Smart Chain would be a better choice, but mainstream adoption on the platform is still low these days (when compared against Ethereum).
Eventually all of this will go away. I know that it is a hot topic these days, it has been for a while and it is not a new thing, cryptokitties were sort of NFT (similar but a bit different) and got attention in its peak days, and now again in 2021 NFT got the same type of attention.

However at the end of the day we are talking about something that s not really that incredibly valuable, it is just a jpg that you own, you can't "own" them, it can still be shared, so you just own... the nft of it? Basically it is not really valuable, but even if it is for some people, it still should not be valuable as much as it is right now, we should not be looking to have coins that are millions of dollars, or pictures, or whatever they are, basically no NFT should be millions of dollars but for some reason they are. Which is why I believe we are not going to see it go on for very long.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 23, 2021, 08:03:56 PM
I think the Clippers will do everything in game 3 at their home court and win because it is very important for them not to get into a worst situation of trailing 0-3. They can still win this series in my opinion, those 2 games that they have lost was very close, it not for mental lapses, they could have steal at least a game in Phoenix home court. In this game, they try to go small like they did on the Utah series, but Ayton was smart enough, and he got a lot of good looks and easy shots. I agree that Zubac is no match for him, they have to do a better defence next game.
It is all about who will come back first. If Kawhi comes back and there is no CP3 then Clippers will be in a big big advantage and I am sure Kawhi will try to come back as soon as possible after seeing his team 2-0 back whereas CP3 has covid so he will not have any say in what he can do, sure he is vaccinated but without having 100% guarantee that he will not spread it to any other player, nobody will allow him to play, hell even if docs and team says he is ready, league will not allow him to play, it needs to be guaranteed that he is fully cleared and has no covid at all and can't spread to anyone.

If neither comes back, I do not see the chances of clippers all that high, right now they are seem like a better team and for a good reason looking at the results, doesn't matter the difference, one point is one point and they are still ahead after two games.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: YOUR FAVORITE GAMBLING? on: June 23, 2021, 06:48:31 PM
Interestingly my favorite game to gamble and the game I gamble constantly are different things. This derives from the fact that I enjoy poker a lot but I enjoy it while playing with people in real time, face to face because that is how poker should be played in my taste (no offense to online poker players because there are too many of them as well) and that is why I get to play it very rarely when my friends are willing to play, and that is why my favorite game to gamble is not the game I play most frequently.

However the game I play most frequently is divided into two as well, I like gambling on sports and I like gambling on dice, both of which I do, sports is not as frequent as well because games are usually not every day (there are some games every day if you want to gamble on them, I just do not like to gamble on all games) and I can gamble on dice anytime I want, however when you look at the wagered amount, I gamble on them both equally.
876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This sh*t ain't for the faint of heart! 😭 on: June 23, 2021, 05:52:15 PM
28k was a good price to go in, relative to where it is now. Meaning, you know it was good when you've long passed it and you're looking down at it. But what'ch'y'all think? Still a good time? Tempted to go all in, not gonna lie.
Every time is not a buying time for me, there are times I don’t buy at all. And when a bull is going down I just don’t jump at it and buy. Next is that I already have Bitcoin, and I also have a lot of other altcoins like ADA, ETH, and the rest of them even after I have sold some of them for profit. So, there is no need for me to rush and buy more coins when I still have some.

And I am not so sure whether the market has reached its lowest at the moment. I am not the type that is always buying all the time, sometimes I leave what I have and I only buy and sell when I feel it is right to do so.
877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is point of Tehnical analysis? on: June 23, 2021, 04:29:51 PM
Sideways trends have proved that technical analysis doesn't always mean anything.

About a month ago we hit 30k, and TA is constantly predicting a breakout up or down, usually up, but instead the market crabs sideways, something only a few people predicted, and most of them didn't use technical analysis to figure it out.

TA is such a pointless endeavor in a market that is so controlled and volatile by the current BTC price action, especially if it is dependent upon the behavior of whales.
Cryptocurrency market is volatile, so you don’t just have to rely only on technical analysis to be able to predict where the market is heading to. There is a lot more to it. That is why day trading cryptocurrency can be very hard, because it is not like stock market which is regulated.

Cryptocurrency is not under any kind of supervision or whatsoever. It is completely free and decentralized. When it comes to trading crypto, you need also fundamental analysis, and you can combine it with technical analysis. This is not an easy thing to do, that’s why you will see a lot of people lose money and they all quit.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red crypto market today on: June 22, 2021, 08:48:19 PM
Or maybe, treat this as an opportunity to buy valuable coins like BTC, ETH or BNB. For those who are waiting for the market to go down, now it is the time to accumulate good coins. Or are you still saying to yourself that it is not the time to buy alts with promising future? If you can afford to invest, this is the moment that a lot of people are looking forward to. To buy worthwhile projects at a cheaper price. Now, it is up to you how you will take advantage of this seemingly bearish market.
The predicament of this type of market is that there are a lot of people like me who doesn't have any extra cash to spare for purchasing some more. I do agree with you 100% that this is a discounted price and if I had any money I would buy here as well, and if I had any money left and if the price went down even more I would buy there too, I would not stop buying bitcoin until I have enough money to just retire and that is the dream.

However many of us bought already, thankfully for me I bought all my coins under 10k mainly, I did buy as high as over 50k as well but not so much, most of my money was when it was under 10k, and now my average is still around 10k even with all the purchases after that, so I am lucky, but that doesn't change the fact that I could have made a lot more profit if I sold over 60k, which means I still believe in bitcoin but do not feel particularly happy about keeping it right now and not selling it when I could have.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 22, 2021, 05:38:49 PM
Good news for the clippers fans! Kawhi is not out indefinitely, dude had an ACL scare and that would have been even next year, look at Klay Thompson for a time line of how hard it is to recover from such injury, and Kawhi just had some stress on it and he will be fine. He is still out for game two and that is a shame but CP3 is out for Suns as well so that means it is a bit of equal for both teams, both teams lost their best players, and suns now rely on booker whereas clippers rely on PG13 which all is equal at this point.

When Kawhi comes back, if Clippers are still one game short that would mean Kawhi could actually make the team win this series, and that is only if he can come back healthy. Unfortunately when Kawhi plays PG13 doesn't really play this well, I do not know the reason but that is going to be a reality check when he finally comes back.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 22, 2021, 05:01:17 PM
This decision by Ferrari to halt progress on upgrading its car this year is unfortunate, because Leclair's pole position raised some hopes that Ferrari could make some competition with Mercedes and Red Bull as early as this season. It is clear that participation in Formula 1 is not a cheap pleasure, but before that, the parent concern always found the opportunity to find the necessary funds at the level of top teams. However, the absolute majority of teams are looking forward to changes in the technical regulations for the next year, and perhaps such a decision will really make a qualitative leap for the next season.
To be fair they didn't look like they were doing that well even before the decision, they didn't look like they had a chance, sure Lerclerc had a pole position and all but it was all about Max vs Lewis all year and that is still going on. This will only keep them from the third spot in constructors and that's it, they are nowhere at the top, and with this decision their not going to be even in the top three neither unless they get real lucky.

Ferrari is not a good team anymore, they used to be good but they are just not there anymore at all, which means it is really a shame to see them like this but it is just the reality that we have to accept. Doesn't matter if next year will be a big change or not, when the difference between cars is this big, I doubt that Mercedes or Red Bull will lose to a team like Ferrari, they will still be at the top next year as well.
