Looking at 0-4 staring right at me, my ff season might be over before Halloween!  Wierd how some leagues ypu lead and others ypu can't squeeze out a single win lol.  Big night for the giants they can't fall to 1-3 to start the year if they want a shot at the end.  Gonna be a close game buy giants missing Andrew Thomas still which hurts since their line is probably the worst in the league.

Dude tell me about it. In this league I had a squad but losing Chubb obviously crushed me, then when Aaron Rodgers went down, that completely destroyed Garrett Wilson's value for the rest of the season.  I dropped 120+ points this week, but of course I play against the team that dropped 170 something, which is just insane.

Man, Breece Hall last year, Chubb this year..the fantasy god's aren't with lol

Flying Hellfish was a buddy of mine (until he vanished), & we spoke about his moderation a good deal. Yes, he’s a liberal, but he didn’t delete posts because he didn’t agree with the politics (conservative stuff), he did because of stuff like “low value” of kinda “off topic”.  He would tell me how stressful it was dealing with people making false accusations about being biased.  I knew him well enough to know he legitimately was just trying to do what he felt Theymos would want out of a mod/what was best. People are too quick cry wolf too.

Give the new mod some time, there’s a learning curve. And have some compassion, imagine having to read BADeckers posts daily.

I just had a previous client of mine message me on eBay out of the blue asking why I was trying to take the sale off platform.

I was not messaging this client previously.

Turns out there is a scammer on eBay using my logo and pictures to try to bag my clients off platform.

My client nearly fell for it and got taken off platform and bagged.

I vote to put a headhunt on all scammers. Defend our commerce and marketplace from this filth.

Perhaps the bitcointalk anti-scammer coalition.

Problem is it’s likely going to be illegal in many ways, and those with enough Mr Robot skills to find these sub-humans have too much to lose as well..so it’s not going to be worth it for most people.

It’s messed up that scammers are constantly watching every single post. My advice to you twats (scammers) , get a real job.

As a collector I’ve been trying to get my hands on their first issued blue wallet card. I recently came across an article and found out there’s a few now.

I think these will be hard to find if you’re not a Chinese citizen with a bank account.

Anyone from China able to chime in with info would be awesome!

(@mods hope this is okay to post here. Not btc related but I feel like it’s a cool insight to another side of hardware wallets )
865  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Is NGC now grading physical cryptos? on: October 01, 2023, 12:03:24 AM
Great minds think alike MooMoo  Wink,  I'm not a big fan of the NGC slabs either. Professional Coin Graders (PCGS) are my choice.

I still think that the Anacs & ICG slabs lend credence to our sector of collectables. I also like the fact that ICG staff will call me if they have any questions, or if they just want to clarify something for you. I recently sent in some Bitcoin Penny Spanish coins & wanted the COA's slabbed too (it was a request) Ryan called me and told me that they were too big. I told him to "trim" them down, if that would work. If you've seen the COA's they have a wax seal, and because of the thickness (mostly) and the wax degradation over time, they would not do it. So, I stuck them in a penny sleeve and a top loader, and called it a day. I don't think PCGS would call to discuss it,.....and it's THAT professionalism that makes me return. And the prices are better.....let's not forget that. It just depends on where you see the "value", and thank God this is still (kinda) the land of the free, and we have choices. Although I do enjoy a membership at PCGS as well.

Some great points here.  No, PCGS would indeed NOT call you to discuss that. I’m trying to help Kialara find a grader to slab his coins and got an assist from a very prominent collector here who introduced me to his PCGS guy who helps him. Said he’d look in to it for me months ago. Replied w a follow up of “any news” nothing. Emailed PCGS directly over a month ago, probably 2, no word back. Shocked to see NGC grading after they said our coins are fake coins lol, so that’s why they don’t (didn’t) grade them. So you’re right FattCatt, unless you’re a whale ..customer service seems to be shit, unlike ICG.

ICG though is not well known or on the level of the fore mentioned two “big guys”, so that does in theory have less value than a PCGS/NGC slab (despite the fact that MJ is technically verifying PCGS crypto coins through ICG, which offers a TON of value). But only we here understand that value for the most part.

Also, the big two have all sorts of slab shapes and sizes. That’s a big deal, obviously.

I do wonder if NGC graded Otohs collection because well he’s Otoh. Same with Heritage Auctions, which is an even bigger deal. Just wonder if it’s a one off for Otoh or just the start.

250 Cas coin auction upcoming (don’t think this has been posted yet but I dunno, less active here these days). All NGC graded I do believe. https://coins.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?No=0&N=3184+792+4294934363

I've made it no secret that I am an United States citizen, and that I also think Donald Trump is a raging Buffon, but what "he" says here I certainly agree with.  However like most things with Donny boy, he didn't write it.  This same type of statement has been stated, said, quoted for countless decades, well before Trump was ever born.  Just like his books, he didn't write this.  This was something he read and stole, like most things.

And honestly, as much as I love to hate on him..this is not my bias speaking here, it's just the truth.

Lastly..I do agree and I do love what I do. It makes life so much better, as I've been on the other side of the coin, and life is miserable if you hate what you do.  Never stop trying to find something you at least like!
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin. on: September 29, 2023, 07:54:25 PM
People are inspired by different things all over the world. Some are inspired by cultures, nature's beauty, situations, individuals, etc.  if the feeling to do something isn't gotten correctly, the expected results may not be gotten, hence leaving such a person in disappointment and frustration.
Here are some tips on why I invested in Bitcoin.

1. Bitcoin is an asset: Bitcoin is an asset because it can grow from the point of purchase, especially when taken advantage of markets that are falling in orife or have fallen in price to purchase as well as rise in price to sell. With Bitcoin, you can start small and grow big.

2. Investors like bitcoin because it's different from the traditional financial system that's controlled and regulated by the government of such a country. With bitcoin and crypto in general, transactions are outside the control of anyone, entity, organization, or person.

3. Transaction is fast; bitcoin gives every user the luxury or pleasure of speed in transactions. Hence, network hiccups are almost eliminated when transacting with bitcoin.

4. In the crypto world, bitcoin is the most dominant with a proven track record of growth, stability, and security, and it boasts of high liquidity compared to other cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin is revolutionizing the financial market, making it the economy of the future you too can take a bold step to invest in Bitcoin if you haven't invested.

I was not surprised to see your first reason being something having to do with "profits" but I am happy to see you mentioning other great/important things about bitcoin.  Things that make bitcoin special..all the things that made me want to "invest" in bitcoin.  It's always been so much more than an asset to me, and I hope others continue to see past that aspect.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 29, 2023, 07:51:47 PM
It's good though that Giannis blurted out to the media on what he want to do or what he needs. And so the Bucks responded with getting Lillard for Giannis and for sure every Buck fan are very happy on the development. At least Giannis will have every reason to stay with Milwaukee and wiling to work out with Dame and win more championships.

Very smart move by Giannis, and he was very honest with the management. Even if that trade did not happen, the outcome of the season is still a big factor affecting Giannis' decision. For now, the hype is very high, but we shouldn't be too complacent, as not all superstars who play with each other create great chemistry. It's undeniable that they have the talent already, but chemistry is still in question. Who will be the main man? Will it be Lillard or still Giannis?

Yes, it could be like Giannis telling it to the management what he wants, without telling to them directly. As he just spoke it to several podcasts and he reiterate it over and over again. And for sure the Management have heard it already and maybe even before that, they could have been looking for some great players in the trade block to get in order to satisfy Giannis.

As for the main man, it doesn't matter though, for sure Lillard knows that this is Giannis team. The most important thing is that they could join up and cooperate which each other as this could be the closest that Lillard could be a NBA champion and then Giannis and the Bucks could be the next team to established a dynasty with them teaming up. Maybe one or two ring will be good enough for the both of them.

I believe Lillard does not have the same characteristics as LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. For me, I believe he is a humble player like Curry. If Lillard is more effective as the team captain, I think Giannis would be okay with that. I heard his interview before; he just wants to win a championship, as individually, he is already fulfilled. This is the first time the Bucks are joined by a legit superstar. By saying that, I mean a player who led his previous team before he joined, and that is Lillard, as he was the main man in Portland for years.

Therefore, this is a challenging situation for both, as the fans are hyping it up, expecting they'll be a championship contender team.

I also wanted to see good chemistry between Giannis and Lilard.

Not that fast, but they need to develop that trust between them. Both are alphas which one of them needs to step down and give
the leadership, I'm aiming to see characteristic of aiming as one and not to fall down with who's much better among the two, a KD
and Curry's respecting each other type of leadership.

If they can create that 1-2 punch between Dame and the Freak, that's a tough offensive attack that Bucks can lean on.

You're right they are both alphas, but that being said they are two different players with very different skill sets.  Lillard is an all time great shooter, and Giannis is an all time great /very tall all around game great..so I don't see them having too much trouble meshing.  Giannis knows what Lillard brings to the table, and you can bet that ownership and management spoke with Giannis about the trade before it went down.  It's important he was on board.
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: September 29, 2023, 07:47:50 PM
I mean honestly this board is starting to turn in to gambling-aholics group.  If you have issues gambling, should you even be conversing on this board, on the "gambling discussion" topic?

I never got in to betting when I was young, and I was somewhat exposed to it through my father, whom however was a very responsible gambler.  As I've gotten older, I always bet within my limits, so maybe I simply l learned that way.

I do have sympathy for those that are struggling however.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 29, 2023, 07:44:38 PM
Already in week 3, man time flies when you're having fun.  I didn't end up betting anything yesterday as I just had no idea how that game was going to turn out.  I thought with Aaron Jones and Watson back, that it would make it a competitive game, but that sure wasn't.

My fantasy season isn't going well, but my betting is going pretty decently.  Watch these all fail, but here's my picks for the week..

Broncos vs Bears taking Denver at -3.5

Browns vs Ravens taking Cleveland at -1

Bengals vs Titans taking Bengals IF Burrow plays -2.5

Seahawks vs Giants taking Seattle at -1.5
872  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 28, 2023, 07:05:55 PM
It certainly all depends on where you live.  Here in the United States it is uneqivickly beneficial having a degree versus not having a degree.  Now some jobs don't require one and if that's what you were planning to do the rest of your life it would be a waste of time getting that degree, but at least you got the education, which there's nothing wrong with making yourself more intelligent.

In my career field (finance) I have to have a degree. Had I not had one, I'd not have been able to get any of the jobs I've had in the 20 some years I've been in the workforce.

If I was planning to work for the city or state doing maintenance let's say, for the rest of my life, then it really wouldn't be necessary but I still think it's a good idea to improve your intelligence.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking scams ...How are Bitcoin better? on: September 28, 2023, 07:02:05 PM
I'm not sure what you list out here as "bank scams" are actually the banks fault rather scammers utilizing banking equipment to run scams.  Now don't get me wrong, big banks are straight up criminal life-time scammers and are very good at it, but some stuff is outside their control such as skimmers and what not.

Bitcoin man in the middle type attacks and things of that nature also pose a threat, but at least you're controlling your money versus some big corrupt bank.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 28, 2023, 06:59:39 PM
Just in… Giannis is getting himself some help. Woj is reporting that the Portland Trailblazers have agreed to trade Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks!!! I’m a bit shocked at this. Giannis made some waves hinting he was leaving and the Bucks stepped up. This is the best news of the offseason so far!!!

DAME to the Bucks!

Phoenix lost Ayton and got stuck with Grayson Allen… That hurts… Not sure why the Suns did this.

I got a notification alert on my phone yesterday from Fantasy Pros saying that Damian Lillard had been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks and came here to post about it but you had beaten me by like 30 seconds.

Yeah you're right, I think the front office heard those words from Giannis and figured in order to keep him a Buck, they better start spending some bucks (pun-intended) and getting some legit players.  So they went out and got one of the best shooters ever.  Will be a lot of fun to watch now as Championship favorites.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: September 28, 2023, 06:56:22 PM
I have pretty much been playing the same games as since I was a kid ( obviously as a child I was playing games but never actually betting with real money).  Every once in a while a new game will pop up, for example Texas Hold'em because MASSIVE when I was in college and it's all we played.  I mean we had a game going every single night between just one of our apartment complexes.

Otherwise, I'm a creature of habit and tend to play the same games/bet the same sports.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 28, 2023, 06:54:06 PM
Man what a boring game tomorrow ..GB vs the Lions mehhh.  Will have to create some prop bets to make it more interesting.

It does look like it'll be a boring game on paper, neither team is really expected to do much this year.  But with Minnesota and Chicago winless after week 3, these two are looking like the top candidates to win the division.  I find it nearly impossible to predict the winner, so I'll probably pass on a bet for this one.

If Monty plays your gonna want to take those props (anytime TD would be a no brainer) as he's in revenge mode because he has never beaten GB and is pissed about that.

Yeah that's definitely something to look at prop wise.  Last I checked the games spread was -3.5 Detroit.  I think Green Bay is pretty bad and I see the Lions as being pretty decent, so considering just betting the spread, or doing a mix..but then again I get scared after seeing stuff like the Cardinals beating the Cowboys, I mean wtf was that all about?!

Regardless.. man football season is a beautiful thing.  It's so by far my favorite time of the year and when you've got NFL action on Thursdays and Mondays, it makes the work-day so much better knowing you got some NFL action going later that day.  I'm in a good mood for once lol

WOW, hard to believe it's already 25 years old now.

I will share a few things on my thought of google.  First off, it's the best search engine to ever have been created by far and it's not even remotely close.  Google is at the front tier of tech and innovation, and they are very good at what they do.

That said, they are an evil corrupt organization just like many of their peers.  The allows for scams ( YouTube ad placements ), they steal information, will turn on your computers microphone to listen in to your conversations etc etc.  I despise who they are, but I acknowledge how good they are too.  It's a catch 22 IMO.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: September 27, 2023, 04:04:29 PM
Fuck any sort of communist nation.  By not allowing bitcoin to be legal in your nation scream one main thing "we are scared of bitcoin and what it means to our own fiat currency, we understand it's decentralized nature goes against what we want, therefore we aren't going to allow it to be used in our country".

Bitcoin scares the powers to be.  So I would continue to buy/sell/trade OTC or via decentralized exchanges.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 27, 2023, 04:02:27 PM
Down 0-3, pretty hard hole to come out of.

Meh, don't get discouraged.  It's all about luck anyway, and if you look at the points fielded, you're right in the middle.  I bet things will average out within a few weeks.

What's funny; the team that's fielded the most points (Hhampuz) and the team with the fewest (South Park) are both 2-1.   Both of the winless teams are right in the middle of the pack as far as points fielded:

Well it's not all luck. I've always maintained that it's 1/3 luck, 1/3 skill, 1/3 dedication (paying attention/making moves etc).

I still have a pretty decent team, but I'm screwed after losing Chubb and then when Aaron Rodgers went down, it makes Garett Wilson go from a WR1 stud to a middling WR2.  I have always had the worst freaking luck with injuries.

Man what a boring game tomorrow ..GB vs the Lions mehhh.  Will have to create some prop bets to make it more interesting.
