861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STJ] STORJ Token Sale :: 19th May - 19th June on: June 15, 2017, 11:50:38 PM
By the time there was an article on coin telegraph, the ico already had about 22 million. How come it was this fast the ico. Any idea.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STJ] STORJ Token Sale :: 19th May - 19th June on: June 15, 2017, 09:29:04 AM
Actually is less then 30 million, literally half of it is locked in a time manner. The ico started at about 22m AFAIK with presale.
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - ICO successfully finished! on: June 15, 2017, 09:22:57 AM
Hello dev. If we shared more then double the posts on Facebook, does that mean some were eligible for higher stake? thanks.

Dev is very busy now. They said 60% participant is not eligible to any stake. And they said they will update final eon in 48 hours. So be . atient.

If that is the case... The stake goes distributed in other venues? what is your opinion and findings.
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RLC] iEx.ec blockchain-based distributed cloud announces its Crowdsale on: June 15, 2017, 09:20:11 AM
I looked at the news and the correlation with the price. Increased before the June announcements and in the meanwhile kept the trend as before.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - ICO successfully finished! on: June 14, 2017, 09:25:54 AM
I got 1680 stakes on Facebook campaign but I remember I shared at least 2 post on different groups with each announcement. Should have been more? I reckon they stated it will earn you stakes with each repost, to 120 per post.
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - ICO successfully finished! on: June 13, 2017, 10:42:01 AM
You guys have been posted and noticed by exscudo to prompt them on the help desk? I sent them notice and even though I wasn't reminded back, the stake seem fine. At first it was 1010 btc to receive, not unlike right now Smiley. I'll check again.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STJ] STORJ Token Sale :: 19th May - 19th June on: June 13, 2017, 10:27:46 AM
That's why I am saying. I see it takes time, for whatever reason and not the point now, for the exchange and storj to get them listed. I imagine for delist would take some time too, and might be funny to see if people are willing to leave the old asset behind, unsupported as it is, and only on what value remains. I reckon that old coin would get really rare.

It could get rare yes, but then anyone can setup a token on Counterparty and make 1 coin.

For the token to have value there needs to be something useful behind it.

For the exchanges I think at one point, once the Token contract is released it's up to them to list it when they are ready and when they do they will delist SJCX as there is no point for them to have to mange two tokens for the same thing.

Also I believe exchanges will also have to swap their SJCX to STORJ like anyone else, so if they stick to SJCX they may lose on the momentum the new token may have when listed.

I have a feeling SJCX will be frozen on exchanges at one point and allow users to withdraw. Or there may be a chance they will swap 1:1 on the exchanges themselves but not sure how it will work and if feasible because tokens need to swapped through a web app, send old tokens get new tokens, old tokens get burned.

We can only wait and see.

Would become same as bitcoin Smiley.
What use does bitcoin have after all... Is just one rare coin.
In this regard, storj does have real use.

This will be a good deal for those that got into ico and are getting the exclusive benefit. It's available for bounty, too?  I mean the zero fee on exchange for traders.
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STJ] STORJ Token Sale :: 19th May - 19th June on: June 12, 2017, 12:05:44 AM
The older coin won't disappear completely? I think if the incentive is there, people would migrate to new coin. Did I read news that the old coin would disappear... I think it is possible that the exchange would keep it and not delist it. Interesting.
871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STJ] STORJ Token Sale :: 19th May - 19th June on: June 10, 2017, 11:15:56 PM
It does matter because shows that btc is not the majority asset with the value holding. Storj was on btc, right? How do we forsee the future, leaving behind the last down fall.
872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STJ] STORJ Token Sale :: 19th May - 19th June on: June 10, 2017, 09:40:31 AM
ETH rising does affect the current coin or the new one more? I see that eth goes up and storj is 7% down (not based on eth yet).

Quote
Current coin is based on BTC blockchain, https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-SJCX, new one will be on ETH.

Yes. That's why am asking the latest eth impact
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - ICO successfully finished! on: June 10, 2017, 09:01:51 AM
It should count. The amount raised was part of the entire market value and when the multiplier hit the coin, thr entire weight got distributed (it did not get heavier, but lighter).

but it wasn't even a guarantee, if people invested 1 btc at $2000 that's what 40 cents a token? so you're clearly willing and comfortable paying 40 cents a token.

If people had known that by investing on the first day they'd have a ~7x multiplier on their coins thats different, but I and many others didn't know how much they'd make and didn't care a few thousand EON seemed legit if they can come through with their plans.

With MobileGo the more money the less tokens, but higher value token, obviously.

But with this many people even paid ~50 cents per token towards the end and didn't know if overnight they'd hit their goals and there'd be no multiplier applied to the tokens.

The value will be whatever is set, because that's what they're dictating and people are willing to pay. It's just like any other ICO they'll be like the price will be 1 ETH per 50 tokens or whatever and ETH is worth $50, that's $1 per token, if ETH goes up before end of sale, say $100 now it's $2/token. when it hits the market they aren't listed at the price per token of $1 just because ETH was $50 at the beginning. Because the final guy was WILLING to pay $2/token at 1 ETH for 50 tokens (ETH @ $100) then that's likely what it hits market at

MobileGO had 30/100 Million tokens reserved...their numbers then DONT count in market value initially. Since we, the investors, only had access to 70 mil of the tokens in the crowdsale, then the market value is whatever we're willing to pay, out of the 70 million. Then THAT value gets applied to the reserved 30 million.

I think people can add up a bit. For example it is the general consciousness on this. When one token was valued at 1$, now it's 7 tokens more. It is about 14 cents a token, what stops you to put 17 cents and plan the long run

The dashboard seems fixed

Can't release the tokens before the conversion platform is completed?
You serious? I invested thinking it would take 2 weeks.... wow

Can't blame anyone if you didn't read before u invest. Maybe I should start an ico that signs over human rights as slaves in the terms and conditions.
Knowing how well ICO’s do on this forum, I am sure that you will have a bunch of investors for that.

On another note, this project looks like it’s doing well. The daily volume is over a million dollars and it’s kind of surprising that the coin didn’t lose any of the daily volume because of Poloniex removing their Trollbox. The Trollbox is usually used to pump coins, I guess that Storjcoin X does not need that to get people to invest more money in the coin.

The volume can get where it needs to go. The big change would be to add Asian markets, and then you'd see volume as SIA coin (over 19k)

I was looking to setup storj and reading there were dozen of steps, I got disencouraged by being busy... If it had a UI friendly to do the fast steps, would help.

I may be wrong but the volume now is 2800 btc in 24 hours, as it used to be max 400 btc on poloniex

But I participated in signature bounty and ain't showing in the dash board. Anyone else has the same? maybe is in the spreadsheet only and dashboard is other fish meat.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: TaaS — Tokenized Closed-End Fund on: June 06, 2017, 11:16:37 AM
I just bought 1200taas

How can I calculate how much dividends we will get in first quarter?  O.50$ = 600$ for 1200of taas?

We calculate masterplan and if team of taas will deliver everything on time price of taas will be at the end of year 40-50$ range.

If you are wise invest in taas now so you will get dividends + price rise

Stable with legal team

Awesome

There is so much horrible, horrible information here so let me explain to you how the fund works.

1) You won't get many dividends if at all during the first quarter. They are interested in mid to long term investments, not day trading. Thus they need time to get more investments made that appreciate in value. There are no magical dividends to be calculated, it is all based on math.

2) The only way the Taas Token could be worth 40-50 is if the value of their holdings grew 40-50x from the ICO. Ethereum grew 3-4x, true, and Bitcoin grew, but not 40-50 times its ICO price. If they take the BTC/ETH they received and get involved in projects that increase vastly in price, then you may get some payouts.
3) If the price of the TAAS token grows beyond the value of their holdings, it would be because people think the team can somehow do magic and earn greater rewards in the future (e.g., they demonstrate they are able to be fast enough to get into hard ICO's like BAT, which they failed to get into).
4) If you are truly interested in slowly but surely growing your investments, buy Bitcoin or Ethereum and hold it. As Warren Buffet has said (paraphrasing) "the stockmarket is a way to transfer wealth from the impatient to the patient".

I would be cautious buying too much TAAS until they actually start buying into projects.

TAAS, if you're reading this, my money is on FCT, MKR, XRP, NVO, and IOTA. Best of luck!

Let me explain :

Price of btc (at this momen): 2555
Price of ether (at this moment) : 235

Taas hold:
44 773.5 ether
2596.7 btc

So they have 17 156 000 $

NAV : 17 156 000 - 7 569 000 = 9 987 000
(The 7 569 000 was given by gran thornton, an external audit)

The holders have 50%, so 4 493 000.
The number of token : 8 146 000.
4493000 ÷ 8146000 = 0.61 $ per token for the first quarter.
And I don't even put the 570 ether who were invested.

I saw that this calculation had been approved by Dimitri on telegram.

But of course, if the price of ether and btc crash before august, the dividends will crash too.
(Sorry for my english)

If that's what they're doing, it's stupid and should never have been done. They should give everyone 10 cents dividend first quarter, and use the BTC/ETH to invest in other projects that could multiple returns. Giving back 25% of the fund is a dividend is fraudulent, they're literally giving you back your own money you could have held. The promise is that they can/will/should/could use the funds and their expertise in the space to achieve outsized returns relative to what an individual might be able to do.

25 % of the profits are reinvested. That was in the whitepaper since the beginning. Not 80 or 90, but 25. If you re not ok with the project, you should go away.

The problem is that the appreciating value of BTC/ETH is not "profit". Distributing your own money back to you is not what people signed up for. They needed to make this clear and have not, sadly.

I also can't believe they will distribute dividents this way. If they do so in 2 years they will hold nothing, whats the point ? someone from the team should make it clear I think dividents will be only from the "extra profit" from what they invest and not from holding their ICO money

How can you say "If they do so in 2 years they will hold nothing" Huh I think you don't understand the concept ...
They had 7 560 000 in the ico, they will increase the fund of more then 2 million after august,  and they will always increase the fund if they make money. Where is the loss ?

I think you don't understand not me.. Imagine if they hold 100 ETH, the price of ETH goes x2 so from what you say they make money and need to pay dividents. But this dividents will be paid in ETH so they will sent you ETH from their pool of 100 ETH.
For next dividents they will hold less than 100 ( for example 75ETH) if they didn't made any extra ETH.
you make several cycles like this and you hold nothing
I hope you understand what I mean with this english
As the say dividend will be calculated in usd, they may pay the difference in price during ico and price at the time when dividend is paid.
For example if btc was $2000 at the time of ICO and it's price goes up at the time of dividend to $2500,the difference I.e $500 is the profit.
$2000-$2500=$500 profit per btc they hold.

That is true. How much btc they hold now? they did convert only a portion of it to Fiat? I thought I read they converted when btc was 1.3k but it does not make sense to hold Fiat due regulations and stuff but it is easier to buy into ico with btc and eth.
