861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Scamming Business is Booming! on: September 02, 2014, 02:31:17 PM
That part of Bitcoin really sucks, but it makes people more responsible, instead of asking the governments for help (which in practice means making others pay for their mistakes).
862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could be considered legal tender in Australia on: September 02, 2014, 02:28:15 PM

That would be great. Governments shouldn't impose any currency, every citizen should be free to use any currency as he likes.
863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who actually spend bitcoins ? and for what ? on: September 02, 2014, 02:26:24 PM
I read a lot here and there about Crypto as currencies, bitcoin as currency and how it might change the way people do business etc... I see a lot of great innovations recently like nxt, qtl, stealth coins and so on...

But i have the feeling people are holding to their coins, or trading them in hope for profit, and dont actually consider buying anything with it, not to mention it's really hard to get some coins today.
No one wants to be the guy who spent $1 000 000 on a slice of pizza.

How do you think bitcoin & cryptos will bring value to traditional /e-commerce, how can it grow mainstream if evryone holds in hope for the 100000$ bitcoin ?
What do you think people would be ready to risk spending their bitcoins for ?

You are right, Bitcoin won't become more valuable unless it's more used. Stores will start realizing that bitcoins are much better than traditional options like credit cards and start accepting them. Also, it should be easier to use them, like it's easy to use a credit or debit card.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Democracy 2.0 (Beta) on: September 02, 2014, 02:24:10 PM
What do you thing?

Democracy? No thanks. I don't want to decide for others nor others for me.

865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What´s the future of money? on: September 02, 2014, 02:22:14 PM
Will disappear the money as we know it? There are many news about companies who already accept BTC. This revolutionary currency is growing and it does thanks to the trust of users. But.. are this digital currencies the future of money?  Huh Huh

http://brokerstars.com/blog/1137/

Sure, just because they're much better than fiat. It will take many years, as it must be easier to use before everyone can start using them. And governments will try to fight against them, but they won't be able to stop them.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you multiply with 1BTC capital? on: September 02, 2014, 02:20:18 PM

Give something in exchange for more bitcoins, or invest them well.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal Integrating Bitcoin soon. on: September 02, 2014, 02:17:11 PM
Giving more options is always nice. If Bitcoins were sent from a Paypal account to another one, it would work like now, but with a new kind of money.
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARGENTINA COULD BE THE 1ST COUNTRY USING BITCOIN AS OFFICIAL CURRENCY on: September 02, 2014, 02:11:14 PM
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Yes, sure, a super interventionist government giving up control on their currency. Do you have any idea of how high is inflation there?
869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have officially made it into the 100 Bitcoin club on: September 02, 2014, 02:08:42 PM
Your final balance doesn't look too grand though lol. And you could've just sent 1 bitcoin backwards and forwards to get that amount transacted  Cheesy.

Total received is really irrelevant, you just need to pay a lot in transactions fees.
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will we stop the evil free market Chinese? on: September 02, 2014, 02:07:00 PM
How can the free market ever be evil? Do you know what does free market mean? Do you know that in the free market only voluntary transactions, where every parts considers that wins, take place?
871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ecuador to create own digital currency. on: September 02, 2014, 02:03:58 PM
Fiat 2.0. There's no way people would voluntarily prefer that currency over Bitcoin.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave/stupid enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: September 02, 2014, 02:02:26 PM
Reading a story from a few years ago where someone invested all their life savings into Bitcoin and started to live off Bitcoin. that guy was a lucky guy as now the price as more than tripled to when he invested in it. Anyone else brave enough to do this?

Diversification is essential. Anyone that invests so recklessly will lose everything in the end.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you know that the US is the Second Largest Bitcoin Holder? on: September 02, 2014, 02:00:30 PM
Aren't they going to sell them, like the rest?
874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do People Believe Bitcoin Will Replace Fiat? on: September 02, 2014, 01:58:10 PM
I have a hard time following the logic when people make a statement that Bitcoin will replace all fiat currency.  In my world view, they coexist and will continue to coexist.  I can see where some fiat currencies die and Bitcoin fills in the gap, but not on a global level.  Your thoughts?

I agree, it would take many decades to completely replace fiat with crypto currencies. A lot of work has to be done, people won't generally use it until they find it easy and superior to fiat.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kim Dotcom Tweets: Bitcoin: The currency of the future? Everyone should use it. on: September 02, 2014, 01:53:58 PM
Well, Kim's a lot of talk, and he's famous for enriching himself. Don't hold your breath that he would actually work honestly to improve the life of the general population. The drivers seems to be his own ego, and what he can achieve for himself.

In the free market, you only get richer by improving other people's life.
876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you name your baby Satoshi for 150 bitcoins? on: September 02, 2014, 01:49:24 PM

https://bitcoinstarter.com/projects/946

The story about this project is pretty bizarre and i was wondering about ethical issues raised! If someone give you 150 btc would you?

¿"Her"? Satoshi isn't a female name.

And of course I'd do it for BTC150, that's a lot of money.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How easy it is to KILL bitcoin. on: September 02, 2014, 01:47:14 PM
Everything required to intercept bitcoin payments is in place today, and almost worldwide. You can laugh now, but by the time this short post is finished you will realise the truth.. that bitcoin WILL fail, and not of it's own accord, but due to the fact that it is indeed a threat to any and all established currencies of the world, and hence a threat to those countries security.

Security? Do you mean that using Bitcoin would make parasite's life harder?
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Spending Bitcoin? on: September 02, 2014, 01:43:59 PM
It raises an interesting point that if we spend Bitcoin to buy stuff, the companies will most likely sell the BTC pretty quickly.

What's wrong with that? Money just changes hands, from the customer to another one that buys them from the store. Even if it was destroyed, it would just make the rest of the supply more valuable. Being able to use bitcoins in as many places as possible, and as easy as possible, is what makes it valuable. If everyone just kept their coins, its purchasing power would plummet.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1991 Electronics -> 2014 Smartphone. 2014 Banking -> 2018 Bitcoin on: September 02, 2014, 01:41:20 PM
Why 2018? It's obvious that crypto currencies will be more used in banking in the future, but I think that'll take many years, as it's a really big change.
880  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the Future of Bitcoin ? on: September 02, 2014, 01:39:38 PM
Bitcoin, or maybe other cryptocurrencies, will be the money of the future. Just because they are superior for many reasons to fiat money.
