861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REQUEST FOR GAS FEE TO GET PAID ARE SCAM. on: October 05, 2019, 03:56:12 PM
Anything and everything that asks you to pay at first are scams. If you are no completely sure about what you are doing, don't even send a penny to anyone. There are many fake airdrops that collects your emails, social profiles and access to different functions in your social profiles and some even dare to ask private keys from the unsuspecting users. If you need to participate in such airdrops, just create a dedicated email, wallet and social profiles for them.

Don't even bother to send them your email in exchange for airdropped coins. That is another bait that you are taking. Even if you say that you are creating a special email for that airdrop alone, that is still a waste of your time. The best thing to do with these airdrops is to completely ignore them. One of the reasons why they are thriving despite the history of airdrops which are mostly failures is that a lot of newbies give their attention to them.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will TRX ever reach ATH on: October 05, 2019, 11:19:24 AM
TRON had a ATH of $0.25 which currently trading at $0.015, it's huge below than the ATH. Can we expect TRX to reach new ATH anytime soon? I'm holding a bag of TRON which is a significant loss for me. Please share you constructive opinion why do you think TRX will reach ATH soon, or why not.

TRON (TRX) will not reach its ATH soon, at least not within this year. The ATH of TRON is not $0.25. It is $0.300363 USD, which was reached in January of 2018, just like many ATHs of altcoins. With its price of $0.014616 USD per TRX right now, it is already as low as around 4% of its ATH. That means, it is not going to be reached as quick as you may want to. So for now you will have to HODL your bag of TRX while waiting for the altcoins to fly, which is again not very soon.
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Speculation Coming Soon... on: October 05, 2019, 10:54:10 AM
Seems altcoin marketcap now on support zone
And look loke this support is strong enough,,
So, we will see a reversal on alt marketcap soon

Marketcap become more important while analyzing of alt coin movements at previous months.
New investors need for alt coins follow to BTC. As last price moving of BTC to upper levels, alt coins just crushed and we cried. Unless marketcap not increase, alt coins will go on crushing when BTC start to travel higher levels and not recover themselves. And more crush when BTC price going down.
Interest of governments at crypto and projects like Libra and Venus may lead may lead more people invest on crypto and we can jump on a full alt season with bullish BTC movements.

Altcoins are a very good tool for speculating in the cryptocurrency market. I think that we should now buy all the cheap coins, where the capitalization is below $ 20 million. The expected profit can be up to 500% next year.

That sounds more of a suicide to me than an investment. You will buy all the cheap coins with capitalization below $20 million? There are thousands of them in the market, you will need a huge wealth for you to do that. And just like the pattern created by these thousands of shitcoins, they come and they go very quickly. They get listed and delisted in a blink of an eye. And before you know it, your investment is already lost. I'd rather buy those altcoins that have high market cap. There is much less risk with them.
864  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not a bubble! on: October 05, 2019, 10:23:57 AM
People who are calling Bitcoin a bubble are funny. They make us laugh because while they are babbling about Bitcoin as a bubble, the price is constantly rising. The bubble gets bigger and bigger and shows no sign of bursting. For sure many of those bubble gangs are already realizing that they better buy Bitcoin instead rather than throw mud at it because they cannot really pull the reputation of Bitcoin down, not even its price. Those who stick to calling Bitcoin a bubble are people who are too late to buy a decent amount because of the rising prices. These are the people who are full of regrets.
865  Economy / Economics / Re: IS 5G AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CRYPTO TO GO MAIN STREAM? on: October 05, 2019, 09:56:03 AM
One of the hottest and most anticipated upcoming technology trends for 2019 is the Fifth Generation (5G) wireless network technology. Rumored to start the new internet of things epoch! Knowing that there is a lot of crypto startups that are using blockchain for various interconnectivity applications and purposes, do you think this might be a good chance for crypto to go more mainstream implementing itself with the new opportunity for decentralized data storing and thus decentralized internet of things?

The 5G wireless technology has already been in use for quite some time now in many countries. There is no need to speak of it as if it is still coming and people are still anticipating on it. It has arrived and I can say that there is much improvement in terms of speed.

There may not be direct influence of the 5G technology to the growth of crypto but since crypto is basically built on the internet as one of its foundations, 5G is going to certainly contribute to crypto's success.
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A view on hunters and crypto currency on: October 05, 2019, 09:25:05 AM

After the failures of ico and the short progress of ico; it brings a sigh of fear into crypto currency.

Investors are smarter; and do not rush into tokens
while bounty hunters are increased thus providing poor contents which leads to no reward

If we consider previously where projects raise 10m$ for just launching app unlike now where
Most Projects this year struggle to raise even 100$; and it looks like ieo/ico will die soon.

What will be the future of crypto currency?
Does it need regulation as stock and forex ? Or the sequence of struggle continues ?

Now there are news about a possible increase in bitcoin supply; is it healthy for the space ?

For hunters; soon; I doubt we will find worthy projects to promote

As this is my first post in altcoins; I hope I get a lot of suggestions to improve my knowledge likewise

If the failure or even death of ICO and IEO is the best way for crypto to get rid of all nonsense projects, so be it. It does not matter. What is important is that crypto is composed of quality projects. There are so many projects that attained success without even going through ICO. For a start-up to attract investors, they don't need to go through ICO or IEO. If their project is one of a kind, angel investors may not be hard to find. In fact, they will come to them first.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs really DEAD or simply cleared a path for better projects? on: October 05, 2019, 03:24:14 AM
Some active ANN threads here are old ANN threads but with many active community members. The project must also be actively developing. Those new ANN threads are either going up against difficult obstacles before they make it or will not even reach their destination. Either way, the investors are already wary of a lot of scam and failed ICOs.

ICO coming to its end will be a sign of a new beginning. IEO is the new kind of offering right now. But we cannot tell when it will also be replaced with a better one. That is always the cycle.
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: October 04, 2019, 06:00:13 PM
Sell your shitcoins today. Use the proceeds to buy Bitcoin and solid altcoins. There is really no need to all out on Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best coin to buy of course but it will also fall sometimes. It is better to diversify your cryptocurrency portfolio. Of course you will not diversify it with shitcoins. Altcoins are mostly made up of shitcoins but there are some that are not. Ethereum comes to mind. No question about it.
869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The use of stable coins or no? on: October 04, 2019, 05:29:40 PM
On the other day, I think of the use of stable coins. I mean, when can we use Stable coins as an alternative fiat. You see when a bull run comes and everyone will start to sell their Bitcoins and some other coins into fiat the network will be congested.

So I think if we buy Stable coins with some stable volume, we will no longer need to worry about unable to sell our bitcoin into fiat.
Rather we only need to do this thing right? is this some acceptable alternative or no?

This has long been done by many traders especially during the times when the market is bleeding. Stable coins are really alternative fiat. No wonder why they are pegged on the value of fiat currency. During the times when the bear season is at its worst point and there is no other cryptocurrency that is not showing blood, your portfolio is going to suffer with them. This is the time to shift to say USDT to avoid worse price dip. It is better to keep it there until the market not yet turning to the opposite direction.
870  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything you wanted to know about BTC futures but were afraid to ask! on: October 04, 2019, 04:59:12 PM
This is it. Thank you OP for your initiative and effort in putting up such a long and sophisticated explanation of the overhyped Bakkt futures exchange. A lot of members are definitely hungry of this explanation, not just newbies for sure but also those with higher ranks, as high as legendary. Take note that high rank members are more afraid and shy to ask questions than newbies. And since you've read our minds, this thread is begotten.

The term "futures" is one of the most important keyword here and you've clearly explained it. Great job!
871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 Ways to Make Money with Bitcoin in 2020 on: October 04, 2019, 04:32:48 PM
So you want to get your hands on some totally free bitcoin, eh?

In contrast to individuals's knowledge, getting bitcoin is easy, there are a variety of methods to earn bitcoin online- some extra popular than the others

Getting your hands on some totally free Bitcoin is easy. There is no going against that. I'll give that to you. But my question is, how much would that free Bitcoin be? I can always claim free Bitcoin everywhere. I can gather as many cheap shitcoins as possible and convert them all to Bitcoin. I can also make use of so many available faucets and I already have free Bitcoins in my hands also. But are all of them worth it? No, it is not. If the free Bitcoin is worth a few hundred Satoshis or even a thousand, they are practically worthless. If all the conversion from shitcoins to Bitcoin is only worth a few cents, it is also useless.

Frankly, it is really hard to earn free Bitcoin in nice amount nowadays.
872  Economy / Economics / Re: Rate cuts money printing inflation on: October 04, 2019, 04:06:34 PM
Fiat money are losing purchase power.Irony is that we had deflation in world after massive printing and rates near zero or below zero.Bitcoin is unique alternative because of his low inflation and because bitcoin independent from Central Banks. If now or near future will be inflation then i think we will have hyperinflation
That case bitcoin is great
I also think that dollar will lose his dominance and bitcoin is great dollar hedge. Will be time when bitcoin and gold will rise together
But the questions is what will replace the dollar when it losses its dominance? Most countries of the world are facing the same problems as the US dollar and many economies are not big enough to use their currency as the reserve currency of the world, some have proposed to use a basket of currencies in order to solve that problem but that has never been tried before, the truth is that if we do not go back to a gold standard a global economic crisis is a given.

A mixture of very strong and dominant foreign currencies is another way to lessen the risk of currency reserves. This is a better way to go given that the US has entered into a number of trade issues with other strong currencies in the world. But I think this is very temporary, most probably only within the term of the current president.

The gold standard is the most solid and trusted standard. That cannot be denied. Bitcoin is a far alternative for now that might hardly sell to more traditional bankers and businessmen, especially because it has already shown several times in the past that its unpredictability is both deadly and glorious.
873  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not a bubble! on: October 04, 2019, 03:37:50 PM
People really need to start looking at charts using the logarthmic scale instead of the linear scale. For something that has periods of exponential growth, like crypto, a linear chart hides much of the history. Ups and downs prior to an exponential growth phase just get reduced to flat lines, and so the linear chart doesn't tell the story of what actually happened. All you see is what has happened in the latest cycle.

For anyone who thinks bitcoin is a bubble: go to CMC, look at the charts over all time, and then crucially switch it from linear to log view. Voila. The growth pattern is as plain as day.

The issue of Bitcoin being called a bubble is not only an issue about its price. The issue of Bitcoin as a bubble goes beyond that. For example, the claim of Bitcoin being a currency is also used as to support the bubble arguments. Detractors are saying that Bitcoin cannot last long enough or even become fully a currency because of its very features. Another argument is its being a bubble asset. It is defined as a sort of fad or trend that is in demand for quite a short span of time only but will eventually burst.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's going to get harder for alts to list on the big exchanges on: October 04, 2019, 03:07:59 PM
This should have been implemented a long time ago. The reason why the exchanges are full of shitcoins is that most of them do not have a high standard set for listing. Perhaps the hardest part is the very expensive fees charged by the top exchanges but apart from that everything could be haggled between the developers and the exchanges. But oftentimes coins with big names in the crypto world are listed automatically, others are invited. That is how the exchanges are also attracting solid traders and investors.
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Faces Extended Pullback on: October 03, 2019, 05:14:58 PM
The graph shows us that there were worse days with Monero just recently. I think there is nothing so unusual with Monero's decrease in price. It is not even a huge decrease. News surrounding its decrease may be true but not something significant enough to pull its price much lower than most of the other altcoins are losing right now. These news may not even the reason why Monero is having this drop in price. Other altcoins are also going through the same condition.
876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Quantum Computer Kill Bitcoin on: October 03, 2019, 04:52:32 PM
There is already a thread here in this same section which discusses about quantum computers not too long ago. There is no need to duplicate topics. But anyway, let me say my piece on this. This is more of a talk of the town for the past weeks or so. But then more of this talk does not actually exist in reality. More of this talk is only found in the imaginations of people who are mostly idle or fond of turning otherwise normal developments into a much more complicated one.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COLD Wallet For USDT ERC20 on: October 03, 2019, 04:25:42 PM
Ledger is the best choice. They have a fair price and usability is on a great level. Besides they have a user friendly interface and as far as I know Ledger is the safest cold wallet, without any detected issues.
Problem with ledger wallet is they are not cold wallet, because they dont give you your private key, and ledger developer have access to your private key which is not safe.
Im looking for a cold wallet with private key.

How often do you have to repeat your wrong info?

Ledger wallet is a cold wallet, and not only because it gives you your private keys but because it is basically an offline wallet. It is a hardware wallet whose private keys and pins and seeds are yours and yours alone. The ledger developers or whoever it is who is connected to the company do not have access to them as you constantly claim.

And why single out Ledger as out of your choice? Why, do you have a specific cold wallet you want to promote?
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea precedent ruling allows cryptoexchanges to be sued due to lost funds on: October 03, 2019, 03:20:04 PM
It should be a fundamental legal right of every customer that if their funds is lost by an exchange which is basically in custody of it, they should have legal ways to run after the one that is holding their funds. The owner of the funds do not actually own them in that setup because he does not have its private keys. He is entrusting his coins to the company.

It is somehow surprising why this kind of legal remedy to the customers or obligation in the part of the exchange has just came out very lately. This should have been implemented already.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The World’s Most-Preferred Cryptocurrency Isn’t Bitcoin on: October 03, 2019, 02:54:01 PM
Another issue-peddling, eh?

I have yet to hear someone who tells me that he prefers Tether more than Bitcoin. If somebody tells me that, I will be torn between ignoring him completely for life or get angry at him and lectures him about why Tether is a speck of dust as compared to the giant Bitcoin. I cannot see anything good with Tether except that its value does not lost much. Well, that is its purpose, anyway. Other than that, no more.
880  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are mixers illegal? on: October 03, 2019, 06:13:18 AM
I would love to have a general conversation around mixers and if they are legal. I've heard both sides. Would be great to have someone involved in the legal side of things like Ciphertrace or a regulator to shed light on this topic

It is hard to say yes to all mixers out there as there might be some of them that did not pass through all the necessary legal steps. But what I know is that the famous mixers such as chipmixer is legally registered. I supposed that means the government bodies such as the anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism agencies and others have given their green light to their operations. But this also means they are directly under the monitoring and surveillance of the government. The government can legally demand from them to undergo audit or to submit private company documents as deemed legally necessary.
