8621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth using bitcoins anymore for gambling ? on: July 21, 2017, 10:37:23 AM
I feel my bankroll management and savings all are highly unstable. Can go up or down by storing money in bitcoin to gamble. Some form of betting like poker requires good bankroll management and with value changing everyday, I don't see bitcoin as a good use for poker players and sportsbettors.

I quite don't get what you mean by your words, but for me betting with my bitcoin is perfectly fine, sometimes the fees do make me think but then I increase my bets so I can earn higher and make more money, plus it's easier to hide my earnings and be safe with Bitcoins, rather than with Fiat I am at a big risk, and I don't like that, they leave a paper trial and it's get risky, with Bitcoins I play behind a mask, a number and they can't reach me or link the money to Bitcoins so I prefer that.
8622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto and why does he hide in the shadows? on: July 21, 2017, 08:30:44 AM
Why do you care who he is?

Don't you have better things to do at work, like work instead of thinking stuff whose answer you won't get

Do you actually get paid to think this kind of work, then most of the newbies who ask this question on a daily basis can join you there, and you all can continue your discussion.

Why don't you and other newbies get it, he sacrificed his identity and life for Bitcoins, he knew Bitcoins were bigger than him.

Stop thinking about him and focus on work and gaining Bitcoins. It will help you in the long term. Ps no one knows who he is so move on in life.
8623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Bitcoin pump on: July 20, 2017, 01:11:30 PM
Right now we see a 10% pump of Bitcoin, anyone could explain me the reason? Isn't it going to dump this weekend?

Dump what dump it's over now it's only going to rise and rise upwards and upwards. One of the simple reason that is the support for segwit has reached over 87%, then bitmain signalled his support to, so the spilt is all but over, and all those who were selling began to buy and now it's gonna shoot up and up. Let's all take one minute silence for all those who sold it to buy later, cause smart ones only accumulated and got rich, we are legends.
8624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: July 20, 2017, 09:34:22 AM
Weeks ago, I am discussing Bitcoin to my sister and my future brother-in-law (then) When they got married recently, both of them were unemployed and have been trying to get a job immediately after their marriage. Up until now they have no luck. My sister then decided to talk to me about how do I earn Bitcoins. I gladly explained it to her and then she decided to do it too. She was so happy that she is already earning bitcoin and had some extra budget while they are both unemployed. And now, she is so eager to learn more how to earn more coins.

Being unemployed drove her into engaging to Bitcoins. Maybe some people are like this. They grab Bitcoin when they are in need of money. And since that these people are now engaged in Bitcoin, I am sure that they will stay in Bitcoin and treat it as an investment even though they will have a decent paying jobs in the future.

Well there are many Bitcoin users I know come from poor countries that do not have enough to earn from themselves due to various reasons and yes unemployment does play a part in it, cause those are the people who really need money and understand the pangs of it, rather than just saying it's scam and BS. So it's a good thing you got them into it, hope you have explained about private keys and when to buy, where to sell etc.
8625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's Vision: What would Satoshi do? on: July 20, 2017, 06:25:44 AM
Maybe there should be a rule no more post regarding satoshi's belief, or who he is, every dam week /month a newbie will come and post this kind of links, again a huge debate shall brawl up and at the end conclusion is that person is not satoshi. Op why don't you read here before posting article that is going to make no sense and it won't lead to a conclusion, why can't you simply Google it or browse similar threads. It's about time such threads be banned or boycotted for good.
8626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of news? on: July 19, 2017, 05:13:30 PM
News are pretty important.
I think that it is general knowledge that there are events which are affecting or might affect the crypto market situation .
Thus its important to have fast, reliable and objective source of relevant events.

Right now my information sources mainly are: bitcoin.com, this forum and recently vice news

Vice recently had good article : https://news.vice.com/story/bitcoin-and-ether-recovering-from-weekend-crash

Bitcoin.com has pretty unique news feed. But downside is  sponsored articles and i would like more depth ,analysis in market situation and ideally relevant news from China in English.

Which cryto currency related news are the best in your mind ?

You can try different sites but at the end of the day you need views, interpretation, opinion, people who have been long enough to read through the lines, and that's why I only use this forum, not only it's updated, but it's very quick. People of various ranks give their updates and it's helps a lot, cause it's saves time going through different links and then interpret. Here every thing is given on spot. So my advice is just stick to this forum, each and every topic you will find here on a daily basis.
8627  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 ICO ANNOUNCE 15 AUG 2017! JOIN THE TRANSFORMATION! 🎰🎰🎰 on: July 19, 2017, 05:05:51 PM

Hey Guys,

After several months of preparation and work we are finally ready to announce BitDice's ICO.

Please join the Slack and the ICO thread.

This is just awesome and one of the best Ico available on the market and I feel everyone should get in it. Plus I saw the thread they have given many options for everyone. This is just great, Bitdice is the ultimate casino and I am so glad that I am part of the best casino campaign out here and this Ico will be a super hit. I can bet on this, and the response on the threads is super positive.
8628  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc Raising, price recovery on: July 19, 2017, 04:02:57 AM
After experiencing price declines at the end of last week, BTC and some altcoin had correction and recovery prices.
Currently the price has improved. If you want to buy and save, this is a good time.
So there were agree that making BTC price stability is more important than worrying about SegWit issue.

If you don't know then it was only after bitmain and the segwit got over 87% support and that was the major reason of its recovery. The dump is all but over and the price to buy is all but gone. Though I feel it's yet a good buy cause I believe a 3.5k year end or by Jan is a good target. Now just need to wait for August event to pass away and then see that specular rally once again. We are all legends.
8629  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee: Bitcoin will go above 500k $ in 3 years on: July 19, 2017, 03:57:39 AM

Seriously you believe it and then even post it, such posts are to be ignored at the onset, think logically 500k, how in the world would it be even be possible. Even if you assume some major news comes then also it's not at all possible to achieve it. I am sure he was smoking some high quality weed or meth who knows, as it's looking with August 1st event neutralized we can see 3.5k by the year end logically. But again it depends on many factors.
8630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens in the world of cryptocurrency if.... on: July 18, 2017, 10:35:08 AM
What happens in the world of cryptocurrency if people already know a lot about BTC or altcoin? Huh
Because as we know that currently not many people know about btc or altcoin.

This is such a vague question, you have loosely worded it and there could be multiple answers from different people, so my answer is if that would be the case that would be be good and it would help the Bitcoin community on a whole. It would lead more and more people to buy it and make it even more active, this in case help it reach new lands and make it far more useful.
8631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: yet another interesting option on the eve of the 1st of August on: July 18, 2017, 10:03:32 AM
The common goal is to save trust of general public and investor to the hole crypto economy, rather than just a Bitcoin (which is still almost synonym for the majority of people).
So, God (diligent people) forbid, if something goes wrong, the damage to crypto economy reputation will be catastrophic.

But, thanx to (diligent people) there are some other instruments that are (a kind of) alternatives to Bitcoin, and nevertheless still are crypto assets or coins.

So major advices we could read now in various media are:
1. Stop doing any kind of operations during uncertainty period (for approximate 2 weeks since 31 of July);
2. Convert your BTC(XBT) tokens into fiat money till uncertainty period is over;
But all this options provoke ether tension or panic.
So (guess not only me who agree) what about option nr. 3:
3. convert your BTC crypto to some other crypto (which are not less reliable but still alternatives to BTC).

Benefits:
1. Crypto market capitalization remain the same, that will extinguish the panic;
2. Users are still able to make crypto operations during Bitcoin uncertainty period;
3. If something go wrong with BTC users will not loose their money (because money are in other crypto assets);
4. If everything go well users will return to BTC with no damage to general crypto economy reputation.

Don't know if you are aware or no, but there won't be any need to anything like this anymore, the hard folk and split won't be happening look for this section there a post which has posted that segwit has already got support of 87% and it's pertinent to mention that Bittmain has signalled his support to, now it will be 3 - 5% of miners and don't really expect them to create any sort of trouble, they shall easily fall in line. You can read more updates on this section.
8632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2x support growing day by day, WHY FORK FUD and PANIC on: July 18, 2017, 04:30:28 AM
Ok, so yesterday, July 16, SegWit2x support was 87.7%. Today it has increase to 88.2% and keeps growing.

https://coin.dance/blocks

Still I see tons of people crying about potential fork. Cmmon people, we all know by the end of this week SegWit2x support s probably going to go over 95%. Why do you buy that FUD about Bitcoin fork?
Regardless what you think about this Bitcoin core vs Miners debate, do you really think a fork supported by 3-4% of the miners is a sustainable Bitcoin chain?

As usual, panic makes weak hands sell and they lose money. The purpose of this thread is make people think twice before they sell coins they purchased at a premium. Dont let be manipulated by pumpers&dumpers and do not let panic gets you.

Dont let pointless panic redistributes your money from impatient to more patient traders, as Mr. Buffett would say.

Hahaha finally got the news that Bitmain is also in, those girls finally sorted their drama and it's good for the community, it's always the same story the hard folk is not coming the best buying opportunity is now before it shoots ups to never come down. Wonder how many made a loss and sold their coins, put your hands up and hit the buy button cause you won't get a chance again. Let the bull run begin again.
8633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if people started educating themselves instead of hanging around here... on: July 17, 2017, 10:17:10 AM
i am not trying to turn this into another one of many speculation topics, i just want to point out that if people started educating themselves about bitcoin itself and the market and how price moves instead of hanging around bitcointalk and reddit and waiting for random newbie accounts to tell them "panic this is the end" they would have been a lot more successful in their lives...

what do you think?

I think you have made a troll post, seriously you are a member now and that means you have been here more than months, and you believe that legendary and all the higher ranked members care about some newbie coming here and saying hey folks it's ending and they would like oh shit thanks for the advice. For your records none of the newbies post ate ever considered valid or sat much thought is given, the legendary and high ranked members will only intervene when they feel he's badly informed, and every one been doing his bit, people do not like to listen about Bitcoins and it's a pain, if you missed there were many threads where we had discussed how to get family and others on Bitcoins. But it's not that easy. May I ask you, why you are here and not gone to educate people and realize first hand how bad it gets.
8634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Journey to Hell, With Bitcoins on: July 17, 2017, 09:48:16 AM
I'm not a Fan Guy of Bitcoins.
I had received payments of $3,000 for my work from client and which was hard working money while the BTC/USD price was $2700+,
And as other's were expecting the price would push up to $3K+.

Now its Going down and down and I can only see Red Candles and no support levels in the BTC/USD chart,
Guys I'm really confused what's next. Will the price go down to $1K? I'm on a Massive Loss...Don't know how to recover
 Huh

Your frustration is legit, you got two options from where I see, a) cry and more cry and sell your coins at a loss. B) understand that bitcoin is very volatile, and this all is happening cause of August 1st event and once that goes away, prices shall shoot up. So I would recommend you to sit tight and forget about Bitcoins till mid August, a great rally is coming and if you sell now you will regret forever, be patient and you shall reap rich rewards. Just be positive on Bitcoins.
8635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet recommendations for Aug 1 - segwit / bip148 on: July 17, 2017, 09:16:07 AM
Hi guys,

I recently got into Btc mining and planned on using a hardware wallet (Ledger Nano S) but it's sold out and will only be available in August. Because of that for now I send my mining earnings to Coinbase.

On lieu of upcoming changes on Aug 1 can you recommend a wallet I should be using to store my fraction of a bitcoin safely?

Though I don't do mining, I also was using coinbase.com and I was happily using it till I came to know of August 1st, then I decided to move to electrum wallet, I found it preety good, plus it has a android app so makes work more easier, I am bit confused about the sending fees but since I don't intend to transact for a while I can't say it's good or bad. They will give you a seed, remember it all the time, you also have your private keys so I feel it's best. Alternatively you could use a paper wallet, the only reason I opted out was for every transaction you need to use entire balance, but upto you.
8636  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy before aug 1 or after? on: July 17, 2017, 09:10:28 AM
Hi guys. Im waiting and hoping this dump
Will continue to 1300 or 1500 before i buy
Which do you think is more ideal
Before aug 1 so i can participate if it splits
Or after aug 1 so i can read the market reaction?

I doubt it will go 1500$, as you can see it touched 1800$ and it's back and it's rising already 2000$+, so don't really expect it to break the 1800$ mark, if it falls again buy In small quantities, so over a period of time you shall have a good average which will give you good returns over a period of time. However don't be dependent on the dump last time when it got dumped to 800$ and people expected it to dump further, it shot up to 2.5k in a very short while, so buy at every fall, you never know when it shoots up.
8637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS BITCOIN A PART OF THE COMING NEW WORLD ORDER? on: July 16, 2017, 04:08:06 PM
Hello to the community, I was just wondering if there is a possibility that the Bitcoin is a part of the plan of the Elites in the coming New World Order? One Monetary System being used in the whole world?

Is bitcoin also was a program of the NSA (National Security Agency) and was hacked by the code name Satoshi Nakamoto and shared it to everyone else in the year 2009?

Hope to hear thoughts from the experts.

What new world order are you talking about, there is no such thing as new world order it's base less allegations, or I think rumours they don't make any sense. Why cause all countries will never accept it, it is limited how will it even be done. This are just conspiracy theories doesn't make any sense, to believe into this. Do some good research. Instead forcus on August 1st event this all Is not worth the time.
8638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Always Bitcoin? on: July 16, 2017, 12:24:02 PM
I still do not understand the current obsession with regulating Bitcoin. They claim it's to help put an end to online money laundering and other cyber crimes but why aren't they equally obsessed about Fiat?

What if there are hidden agendas, like phasing out paper currencies, forcefully uniting all countries and handover control to more evil entity?
I have some paper money on me that I can EASILY use to buy some harmful drugs and weapons yet no Northkorea-like government is monitoring how I spend this money. A responsible government would rather be where the stuff are purchased and help solving crimes. Trying hard to Police everything (without caring a bit about the word "privacy") is a sign of desperation & tyranny.
I learned they are working hard to phase out cash for their cashless agenda. I bet over 70% of World governments will adopt the cashless thing too.

I have never used a Debit card online not that I don't understand it .. it instead doesn't feel safe to me.  My adoption of online currency started when I discovered Bitcoin. Bitcoin/Blockchain is the only thing that makes sense & feels natural to me.  Wonder why they are now trying hard to rewrite Bitcoin with some rogue codes.

You wrote such a long post but missed out a simple part why it's always Bitcoins. Tax as simple as it gets, cut the BS of Regulation all they want is to find ways to get more taxes out of the public, in short more revenues for them, and gives them more excuses to conduct a enquiry against a person, the very reason satoshi created Bitcoin is being destroyed, and Mark my words down the line when our children will ask us, when Bitcoin was being destroyed by government, segwit drama what we're you doing.
8639  Economy / Speculation / Re: To sell all?? on: July 16, 2017, 09:22:16 AM
Im losing alot money with this shitty war which decrease btc to 1900$ wtf why this happening. So i need to sell all and go away or i need to wait to 22july and maybe everything will back?

If you are in loss why would you sell your coins how can you be so dumb. I can understand you are frustrated, who isn't? But this is temporary, one Bitcoin rises back your looses shall be covered and you shall gain rich rewards. I would advise you from refrain from selling your coins. It's a stupid move to sell in looses. Instead for few days do not look at the coins price, just sit tight and sell later at a profit I am sure you will earn a lot, maybe even a reward me for stopping you committing a blunder.
8640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Don't do Bitcoin transactions on 30th July and August 1st on: July 16, 2017, 08:38:52 AM
So while reading for August 1st events, saw this link which says Bitcoins can dissappear on or for transactions on 30th July or 1st August. How truth is this, should one avoid doing any kind of transactions, and if he does what happens to the coins. Say for eg some one sends a transactions on 30th July with low fees and it gets stuck so what are the chances of it getting lost or will nothing happen and this is just another rumor. I guess we all will want this answers, and if it's true would ask you to contact whomever you send or payment to avoid using it.

The link https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/www.theregister.co.uk/AMP/2017/07/13/bitcoins_might_just_vanish_into_the_ether/

Choice is yours, let's hope we find a answer to this.
