From the tube sales thread:

Price adjusted to 7.9 btc per set.

Round 1 purchasers get a coupon of 0.05 btc per device. (0.5 btc per set, 0.0125 btc per hashing unit)

Round 2 purchasers bought at the price before price adjustment get refunds of the price difference, preferrably to the payment source address.

All coupons and refunds happen only between our direct purchasers and us.

Very generous to the customers. But I am afraid this means less income for the shareholders.

Fostering customer relations though. Which other company gives refunds they don't have to give?!

The reason they are giving refunds is because there was a delay in the shipment of the first batch due to a technical error and the promised shipping dates were missed.  FC is showing integrity and gaining trust and respect in the process.  Would you prefer, he take the path of BFL, KNC and others.  He needed to give refunds.  He did the right thing.

Well, I gotta say: Is it really Havelock's fault that "none of the stocks trade above IPO price"? It's the stocks that fail, not Havelock per se. I assume it's more of a general problem of the Bitcoin securities/stock market and people coming up with IPOs that don't have a sound business model business model

You shouldn't have said that.  It shows a lack of reading comprehension skills.
Not one person in this thread has blamed Havelock.

I reiterate one more time, and those who don't get it I'll automatically consider shills or trolls.
Asking for dividends -in any kind of investment- is asking to destroy their capacity of growth. Basically by insisting on dividends you are squeezing your golden goose.
Asking to make announcements and baby feeding information is a waste of time unless there is any significant development.
Asking for quarterly report is rational, asking to pamper every whim every day at the forum is childish.

Their time should be 100% focused in building value for the company -your invested company-
And all of you should be glad that they are working, in deploying, selling, troubleshooting and offering support.

So those whining, grow a pair.

You are confused as to the the meaning of 'grow a pair'.
That would actually manifest itself as a demand of accountability from your investment.
These people are merely asking FC to do what he said he would do.  When he doesn't, it undermines his trust, integrity and respect.

8644  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 29, 2014, 02:17:28 PM
Im just happy to see FC is posting on the forum answering questions.  Step in the right direction if you ask me.

Unfortunately he is responding to questions about the pool compatibility issues w.r.t. the AsicminerTubes.  Crap.  Not really a step in the right direction.
For some reason, the Tubes don't play well with any pool but Ghash.io at this time - so I wonder which pool they were testing on... NOT!

If you stare at it long enough, it finally appears!

8646  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] 5TH/s BTC Olympus ZEUS Bitcoin Mining Rig Open for Sale. on: August 28, 2014, 10:50:14 PM
BTCOlympus is a scam.
No answers to email regarding my order. Promised I'd get my machine and a tracking number over a month ago, still nothing.
More emails and still no replies.

What a surprise!

as usual when people saying it's scam, everyone looking different way.
But once scam hit someone- user is coming and shouting "its a scam, its a scam".

I think people have been calling this one a scam right from the start.

Shareholders be lurking like:

Full disclosure: I am a shareholder.

Come on! Full disclosure - that IS you!
8648  Other / Off-topic / Re: See the cat? on: August 28, 2014, 10:40:43 PM
OP is trolling us  Grin

Seriously, I see a cat. Its right ear is highly pronounced with it left ear somewhat limp. Look at the center and work your way out. From the center, toward the left (NW) is the cat's right ear.

WTF? That doesn't look like any cat I've ever seen.
Oh wait! You mean Jocelyn Wildenstein?
8649  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #2 on: August 28, 2014, 09:42:10 PM
I'd consider putting up an assembly guide and ckpool instructions but I'm still sorta waist-deep in setup. Maybe in a couple days.

Thought about saying balls-deep but then people would think I was stickin' it in their Tubes and that's not a customer service we provide.

lol! Keep your junk outta our tubes!

Cryptsy has its issues but they will not steal your coins.

Oh yes they steal your coins. In my case they switched off the trading interface not allowing you to sell your coins when the price dropped hard, resulting in 1.5 BTC loss.
re-> my sig

Well, all I can tell you is that your definition of stealing and mine are not the same.  As I said in my post, they have their issues.  When coins are dropping in value quickly it causes a great many sell and buy orders - I don't think Cryptsy is equipped to handle the crush.

I see a spiral of yellow dots representing apocalyptic numbers with a side of 120 illustrating exactly when quantum superposition ends and probability collapses into reality.
Ergo, this is Schrödinger's cat and his eyes appear along the diagonal which is perpendicular to a line draw from the lower right to the upper left corner.  In this instance, the cat cannot be dead and alive at the same time.

Yeah they had some serious issues with their specification claims from the get-go.  I asked a few questions of them and didn't get a warm fuzzy from their replies.
8653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you name your baby Satoshi for 150 bitcoins? on: August 28, 2014, 08:19:38 PM
How about re-naming the baby after you collect the 150 BTC bounty ?

Why bother? You named yourself cameltoe for free!
8654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy = Fail. Cryptsy ran off with my bitcoins. on: August 28, 2014, 08:16:24 PM
Cryptsy has its issues but they will not steal your coins.   I have had several occasions where my coins took a long time to post.  Just use the support tab and give 'em hell!  Your coins will show up.

8655  Other / Off-topic / Re: See the cat? on: August 28, 2014, 08:13:31 PM
Careful dudes, OP is stealing your time for his own personal use.
8656  Economy / Speculation / Re: what should I do, I invested a lot on: August 28, 2014, 08:06:40 PM
^^ Exactly, every selling order now is a lossing order in 10 years.
Provide detailed fundamental and technical analysis for that claim or are rendered an idiot.
Time will tell which of you is the idiot.

Given that neither can form a complete sentence, I would suggest we do not require time to make that determination.

The electrican said he would cut the end of the cord i was supplied by evga and attach the 220v plug...is this safe I DONT WANNA BURRN DOWN MY HOUSE ..thanks all
The best would be to buy the cable directly (it's standard, look at the image).
If the cutting/attaching is done by an electrician, he knows what he's doing, it's safe.

Sure it's safe as long as the connections are good.  As a bonus, it's only half the current so there should be less heating.
8658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How easy it is to KILL bitcoin. on: August 28, 2014, 05:52:00 PM
there is one thing that bothers me, once mining become useless, all that computing power most likely will be trying to find private keys to our wallets

...which would be less profitable than using them for mining
 Needless worry
8659  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auctioning 2 KNC Neptunes, in Hand (from Batch 1) on: August 28, 2014, 05:21:57 PM
They just copied the text from the KNC page, hence the mention of third batch.

It clearly states "KnC Neptune 3.3TH Bitcoin Miner *In Stock Now*" and "Batch 0" on the page.

Hurry!  They only have two left.
8660  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round2] on: August 28, 2014, 03:57:44 PM
So I can run 2 tubes from 1 Ethernet/controller yes?
yes, the question is if you want to, as you have to interconnect the two and always keep them next to each other.

I thought there were three connectors per controller?  Obviously at some point they would require interconnection but not for two...
I will know for sure as soon as I get mine! Wink
