Hi,

I am new to VIA and very much interested in this coin. Infact I am new to the Cryptoworld.
So I am sorry for asking this lame question. After I generate a paper wallet from https://viacoin.github.io/address-generator/
where can I check the balance. I could not find an answer from google.
And if possible could someone please explain how to load VIA coins from paper wallet to an exchange wallet or an online wallet?

Appreciate your help,
Thank you...

Havent checked it out but because its a paper wallet you will have to manually import the private key.  Dont know if exchange wallets this can be done.  You will need a wallet with an "importprivkey" function.  And welcome to crypto, you might have just landed yourself at the right place at the right time.

There is no exchange that lets you import a private key.

I figured as much...just havent looked into every exchange.  Then that being the case download the wallet and import the private key.  If you need help once you download the wallet let me know

I was just looking at the snapshots of coinmarketcap.com starting from 2013 and I saw how the shitcoins started to appear month after month and year after year, and to my surprise I spotted some crazy prices for Bitcoin around $800 and above in 2014 or 2015.
LTC being as low as $1.5 and there was a coin named ETC or ethercoin I wonder what was that all about? and now I think they are going to pump LSK I mean why not pump it to $200+ since it's a legit project and is a platform for developers pretty much like ETH.
In coinmarketcap if you click on "tools" you should see the historical snapshots.

I have some screenshots of prices which is awsome to look at and see how quick this really came together.  Take those screenshots now cause we will all probably wish someday we bought at these crazy low prices of $2700/btc  Cheesy

Guys, what's so special about telegram that you forced everyone to use it? Kindly share some progress in here or on twitter.

There are a lot of "communities" who use slack and telegram.  It is easier for quick conversation, slack as well.  I think romano has been updating here but with everything there isnt something to report each day, patience my man.

The spread on hyper is nuts.  Hopefully that gap gets closed soon.  Tough to buy at those prices i guess i will but some buy orders in.  Dont like using new exchanges but will check it out.  Would consider buying off exchange maybe i will set up a wtb thread.  Thanks guys for the heads up on nova.

8649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: June 08, 2017, 09:25:00 PM
For shits & giggles I installed MacMiner on a IMac with a Radeon R9 M290X and attempted to mine Litecoin
Pretty laughable 15Kh/s vs the L3+ 504/Mh/s. Such a massive order of magnitude difference on a 2yo GPU vs modern ASIC.

The AntRouter R1-LTC even pulls 1.29Mh/s which is almost 100x performance of the GPU.

That is crazy.  Just think where this will all be in 2 or 3 more years where these L3s will be on evay for $100 for museum keep sakes.  Haha the coninuous race

Does anyone have hard numbers on what they have mined so far for a May batch machine?  I sold mine, but would like to know if that was a good choice or not?

It was a bad choice.

I mined 115 LTC, 18 GameCredits, 28500 DOGE and 0.055 BTC (via NiceHash) using two L3+between May 9 - June 5. Solo mining now, so stats are as of last block find.
Total value mined close to $4000. I can still sell those units now for 2800-3500 without effort, which is probably the price range you sold it for.

I presold one May unit on Ebay for 3100. I regret it. I also regret not buying the July batch as the LTC difficulty has subsided. I believe many are trying out the other scrypt alts that seem to make more per day than LTC. I think it is an illusion since you are looking at profitability whenever difficulty drops and readjusts back every block. Many alts have a high number of orphan blocks too.

My stats may not be representative of what everyone else is seeing. One of my L3+ has been extremely lucky. It mined 2 blocks on litecoinpool and 3 on tbdice. The other unit only mined 1 block on litecoinpool.

Probably right not the best choice but it all depends on sale price.  Remember btc bulled during this time so all in all if you sold you miner for around .4btc more than you bought it, you'd be even as of today given the expected sale price now (in btc)

Hey guys interested in buying back some.  Are the new coins available only over the counter now or is there a solid exchange i can buy some at?

Cool thanks.  Nova exchange any good?  Never used them.
8652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what´s going on with LTC Difficulty ? on: June 08, 2017, 12:01:14 PM
I think miners just point their L3+ to more profitable Scrypt coin like DGB or GAME, I myseft  also do that, earn about 20% more comparing with mining LTC.

People have been doing that but thats a large drop.  Someone is playing games.  That hashpower just didnt dissapear.  Will be watching closely.  But that was one or a couple large players disconnecting for some reason

Hey mitchell how much are you looking to get for the 2 papersafes?
Not sure yet. Might do an auction, might sell them as is. First I need to figure out what the current market price is.

Yeah tough to price these.  Im down for an auction, will look out for it if you decide to put them up

So i have had some maths here for l3+ with the diff at : 287k 504mh/s miner mine 26,42 ltc which is 750 dolar atm and decreasing nearly 50 dolar with avarage %10 added difficulty... ( LTC STAYS AT 30 Dollars)

with that calculation Roi seems to turn back at 6 months (3600 Dollar Bach)

The teory rules are;

1- Difficulty UP %10 Per Month : (287k-310k-341k-375k-413k-454k) depends on miners ... (want to take train before agust and sept bach doesnt send )

2- Mined LTC Goes Down Per Month (26,42-24,4-22,25-20,23-18,38-16,72 Avarage 120 LTC) depends on diff.

3- LTC Prize Fixed To 30 Dollars Within These 6 Months... If its go up it makes roi day much more early

Electricty fee maintance pps share hold : 0,07 Dollars + %4,5 etc...

So What i am missing here ? Why This Kind Of Cloud Minning So Bad For Us... OR IT IS ?

You can use those figures but the 10% spike in diff every month is about to be much more than 10%.  Im not saying dont do it.  Just dont think that 10%/month will be a number that the diff will rise by this summer.

How would anyone even attempt to sell a 5, 10 or 25 BTC coin now? You would need an armoured truck.  Grin Roll Eyes

Well... if the price continues to rise, I would imagine there would be an increase in in-person trades.
Considering the small premium this would incur, it would probably be one of the safer ways to conduct a transaction of this size.

Depending if the premium got small enough one would think peeling would be an option for some, and lower the in tact mintages so less out there.  Will be interesting to see it played out

I'd be interested in the MS65 brass 1 Btc to start my collection. However, I am new to the bitcoin game. I will message you to get the conversation started.

Nice piece to start out with good luck and welcome to the community
