Amaury Sechet announced he is the original Satoshi Nakamoto with a hash on a twitter post but then deleted it.
https://www.ccn.com/amaury-sechet-bitcoin-satoshi-nakamoto-faketoshi

Why would the real Satoshi post a teaser message claiming to be able to prove it, but not actually proving it?
Beause he is a bitcoin cash dev and just wants the attention his alt coin is not receiving.
Craig wrights 15 minutes were up so the next one appears trying to claim he is the real slim shady. Undecided

8644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: February 12, 2019, 10:48:08 AM

~snip~

I think this is well a needed and deserved break..

I went with a parlay bet;

1. Pacers vs Hornets : Pacers - 4.5 @ 1.86
2. Rockets vs Mavericks : Mavericks +12.5 @ 1.56
3. Bulls vs Bucks: Bucks - 6.5 @ 1.55

PS: I'm also looking to place a bet on either of these games as a single bet, which one and spread points would you recommend ?

You could have get a good payout with x 4.49748 if not because of Mavs.
I'm wondering if the odds for Mavericks +12.5 is 1.56, I think it's just very low considering the line was +11, should be at least 1.70 or over.
Rockets always seem to ruin my parlay bets as well.
I remember at the beginning of January they were playing the warriors and harden hit that buzzer beating three and it killed the win for me. It was the last game on a four game parlay in which the other three already won.
I would stick with the bucks as they are more reliable to cover the spread then the big ego teams like the rockets and the warriors are this late into the first half of the season.
Seems like all the big stars on these teams have only the all star weekend on their minds.

8647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Etc block mined worth 109 etc! But why when reward is 4etc? on: February 12, 2019, 04:11:42 AM
They are both on the ethereum chain. Ethereum classic is the original one.
This abnormal size in the block reward was the same date they were going to fork but it was cancelled.

Can you explain another other reason why?
It was seen on other pools as well not just this example I posted.

They haven't been the same as soon as they split, this is not the first time it happened to etc and yet it never happened to eth. Different devs, different approaches on how to tackle issues adn as far as no eth devs talked about the problem then it means it might not be related to eth as it was on etc. I myself want to know why that happened on etc though.
It had to be due to the upcoming ethereum hard fork. They did say there was a technical issue found (it was talked about in their meeting on youtube hence the cancellation call all the sudden) when that spike in the etc block reward happened.
It was a 100etc reward as opposed to a 4etc reward.
So this is a substantial enough amount to count as a glitch happening on the etc etherchain.
8648  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: February 12, 2019, 12:57:31 AM
Wow, over 40+ days now. No end in sight?
No because cloudbet has time to post winners in games and rounds https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5098762.msg49692182#msg49692182 but doesn't have time to resolve 43 days old withdrawal issue.

@Cloudbet what is status of second scam accusation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5103376.0 ?

No status update. Offered to provide all the docs, to prove residency in a non restricted country. My 1.7 are more or less irrelevant, it is the concept of what these scumbags are doing that's important.

That's a scumbag move holy man. Is there a way to find out which country they are operating from?

This is what you get when you go to their linkedln page.

This is a digital marketing company.
But I have always thought cloudbet whose base of operations were from the UK.
Just from the way they are dismissive and some of the crypto casinos I have dealt in the past are headquartered there.

So by bringing this thread back up
I wanted to know if this will likely happen again with the eth fork happening this month?

What does an ETH fork have to do with this conversation about ETC?
They are both on the ethereum chain. Ethereum classic is the original one.
This abnormal size in the block reward was the same date they were going to fork but it was cancelled.

There is some post on the forums on stake about a release of stake 2.0
I am wondering what this is about and what would be the benefits they are proposing with this new integration to the site?
8652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 11, 2019, 11:57:00 PM
Wolves are unbeaten in there last 5 matches in all competitions, while Newcastle have lost 2 of their last 3 matches and are also have some players injured. Wolves have the better chance to win tonight, but I think this might end as a 0 - 0 or 1 - 1 draw.
Well half an hour to kick off.

My bet is for wolves however not sure about the score. It will be safe to say that this match will have over 1.5 goals.

Looks like I guessed right after all, Although the goal for wolves had to come very late into stoppage time, That doesn't matter , does it ? A draw is a draw  Tongue
You are on fire with predicting draws on the premier league games.
I should of looked at the thread earlier but didnt catch it in time. My fault.
Congratulations on your win again!
8653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy says crypto ruined his life but he spent it on a high risk lifestyle on: February 11, 2019, 11:52:04 PM
Good on him on cashing out earlier than most, but he spent the money on self-destruction. He was clearly unprepared for his newfound wealth, I guess it's sometimes better to get some rough life experience before getting lucky.
His life does sound as if it was from a Eminem song.
Either this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uelHwf8o7_U
Or this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Yhyp-_hX2s

Irresponsible self destructive behavior never helps anyone in their lives if they decide to not try and avoid it.
8654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 11, 2019, 09:48:48 PM
Central banks have been buying up gold at a rate not seen since World War II.

Why?

- Near-record buildup in government debt
- Global instability
- Supply issues
- Inflation

For those same reasons, we buy bitcoin.

https://twitter.com/alecziupsnys/status/1095028886361047040?s=21
So I should also buy a little nibble of gold too right? I mean central Banks manipulate so much why wouldn't they manipulate the gold prices if they're holding it.
You could be on to something there. Cheesy
How about invest into buying pure 0.999% ounce gold coins which are loaded with bitcoin? Grin
Then you could have your investment double covered against the recession.
8655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first Bitcoin (BTC) transaction received to an IP address ? on: February 11, 2019, 09:08:08 PM
So what does this exactly mean?
Are we able to send a transaction without a miners fee?
Never the less it is a nice feature of the blockchain if correctly implemented.
8656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy says crypto ruined his life but he spent it on a high risk lifestyle on: February 11, 2019, 09:04:54 PM
This has to be a fake story, otherwise it would be a full news article rather than just a reddit post. Especially the part about famous porn stars, he would want the fame that goes with the story
It could be as I mentioned in the OP in the first place.
But it might happen just like the guy who said he has made millions betting on the cryptocurrency bubble last year.
He is a famous poker player so he is use to taking on these high risk gambles in his life.

8658  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 🔶Deals for Hardware Wallets 🔶 on: February 11, 2019, 08:34:42 PM
Now, Ledger Nano S is cheaper - only $68 and it is the best thing to buy for your safety cryptocurrency assets.
This discount is due to Pre-orders of Ledger Nano X.

More discounts, offers and promo codes for hardware wallets can be found here: http://safety-deals.com

The best chances to find someone that is interest for your services, is to move your Thread to the proper section.
Wish you good luck with it, cheers. Cool
My question would be how safe is it to buy from a third party seller?
As many ave mentioned on the other threads about hardware wallets. You should not buy any ledger or trezors if not from an authorized seller of these wallets because of the high possibility of them being hacked into later on.

It does not matter much, but:

13 Feb — Cboe XBT Bitcoin Futures Expiration Date

http://cfe.cboe.com/cfe-products/xbt-cboe-bitcoin-futures
What is this all about? An exchange? Excuse my ignorance by the way.
CBOE & CME were bitcoin futures released earlier last year but failed to bring in more interest of individuals who normally buy these type of stocks and assets.
