8661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alts fall, Bitcoin falls ... where is the money going? on: July 11, 2017, 04:06:36 AM
Hi

Thread title says it basically.

Almost all Altcoins are currently falling, which means they are dumped for Bitcoins.

So Bitcoins should be bought and therefore rising => but they are also falling.

Why is that?

I have been screaming on top of my voice and saying stay away from alts, they are not good at all, but people just won't stay away, and alts falling and Bitcoin rising is not at all related. Alts fall cause they have a history of failing, they look good initially and then all of sudden go bust look at one coin. Bitcoin normally falls a bit but now it's due to August 1st post that I expect a huge rally coming in Bitcoins. Also Bitcoin works on demand and supply principles.
8662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 10, 2017, 01:27:52 PM
This is what expected and West Indies showed that they are the king of T20 and they can chase any score. India inspite of good start they were not able to score above 200+ and even bowling is also very poor.

Overall, a pretty disappointing series for India. They managed to win the ODI series (after losing a match) and lost the T20 match. Plus this is a West Indies team which is missing most of its regular players. It is ranked pretty low and even stuttered against Afghanistan recently.

This shows the India missing a good leadership to win the series. WI team currently lost many matches against everyone in the world, and that's why their ranking went down. But this top Indian team finished the series not so convincingly. The current captain is unfit to lead this Indian team. India needs to find a suitable replacement for Dhoni to retain their top position in the ranking.
I agree mate . He doesn't have good leadership skills and he doesn't listen adjust himself to strict coach too . Ravi Shastri will be the next coach and downfall begins Smiley Aggressive captain + Lenient coach = failure .
Now BCCI realises why they drop Kumble from coach position. Kohli is an aggressive player, but he is not suited for the lead a big team like India. Yesterday they had a chance to win this game, but because of poor fielding, they lost this game. How many chances they drop and missed a couple of stumps. Actually, India needed this defeat. Now let's see who will replace Kumble. If Ravi comes in coach position, then India will come under 5th rank in ICC ranking list.

Last night was a really good game, team India right from the first over started attacking it and the score was decent, but hats of the Windies team that deserves credit, even when Gayle storm was silent, they yet won. Don't know why the coach issue is brought in the match when WI were simply outstanding and whether anyone likes it or not, it's gonna be Mr. Ravi only, this are modern day cricket, today captain controls every thing.
8663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blacklisting of government wallets on: July 10, 2017, 01:12:19 PM
I believe that it is in the interest of all bitcoin users to keep bitcoin free from government influence.
I propose to add a blacklist of all addresses that are associated with government, so that no one can send bitcoin to or retrieve them from the blacklisted addresses. The bitcoin miners and clients should refuse to validate transactions containing a blacklisted address.
That will make bitcoin taxation harder if not impossible, and will make it cost prohibitive to seize and thus regulate bitcoin.
Every bitcoin client should be free to make a custom blacklist or download one from the internet.

How will you do it, I am bit curious do you have some software kind of thing and will that be applicable world wide, then it seems nice but then where Bitcoin is regulated by government how will your system work. I am not sure how you will really be able to implement this, it will take some major technology and why would you invest so much?
8664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Funding a movie with Bitcoin possible? on: July 10, 2017, 10:18:43 AM
Would it be possible to fund a reasonable budget movie (say $10MM) via BTC or Ether?

What do you think would be required to get enough interested contributors including some whales?

Well you can do it, I don't see any reason why you cannot do it, but then again the country where you submit your filing has to approve it, and again where you shoot it should accept that you pay In bitcoins otherwise you shall face lots of legal complications. By the way you meant 10 millions right? I hope it's not 10$ shoot lol, those small time video one or two minutes one. In that case just shoot it.

8666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if you build it they will come? on: July 10, 2017, 09:19:32 AM
with less than 5mln BTC left to mine, on the 8th year, with news worldwide - why the price is only 2500$ and not much higher? where are all the billions of people? where are all the FIAT's trillions?

I think by this very year end a huge pile of fiat shall find it's way into Fiat, as many countries are adopting it, and I feel that Asian countries adopting it would be the key, but strangely enough it is the European food chains that are leading the way and this alone is a positive feedback for the community, many tourist places are now accepting it as a payment process and that is just good news for Bitcoin. And you have put a wonderful title, believe in it, stay positive.
8667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Largest Food Delivery Platform in Germany Integrates Bitcoin on: July 10, 2017, 03:42:06 AM
Lieferando, the largest food delivery platform in Germany, officially integrated Bitcoin. Users on the platform will be able to pay for food deliveries using Bitcoin.

Originally, Lieferando obtained over $18 mln in funding as a regional food delivery application and service provider. Due to the platform’s success regarding the rapidly growing user base, revenue streams and popularity, Netherlands-based Takeaway.com acquired Lieferando.

The acquisition of Lieferando by Takeaway.com is important to note as the Takeaway.com development team initially integrated Bitcoin back in 2013. Most of its subsidiaries including Pizza.fr have started to accept Bitcoin after the acquisition by Takeaway.com.

It is equally crucial to acknowledge the fact that Takeaway.com completed its initial public offering (IPO) in 2016 to raise hundreds of millions of dollars at a $1 bln valuation. Despite the IPO, the board members and corporate executives of the company continued to show support for Bitcoin and integrate the digital currency into newly acquired subsidiaries.

Before the acquisition of Takeaway.com, Lieferando briefly accepted Bitcoin from 2014 to 2015. During the company’s rebranding acquisition process, the company dropped its Bitcoin integration but reimplemented it once the acquisition was finalized.

Just the other day, Polish big chain adopted and now Germany food chain followed it, that's good to see it. I am waiting to see if the global food chains adopt it to, like the next time you step in to Mac d and be like there a sign hanging no Fiat no worries, Bitcoins also welcome. That would be a game changer for me waiting for that to happen, and I keep wondering why are they slow in adopting it, when their counterparts are doing it.
8668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins looting the money on: July 09, 2017, 05:04:52 PM
Hi, today i sent 0.00238 btc from my electrum wallet to my localbitcoins account.I have already paid transaction fee.I have received only 0.00154 btc in my localbitcoins account. So they have taken 0.0008 btc as incoming fee. So,dear all be careful while using localbitcoins.com for selling your hard earned btc.Just wanted to make you all alert of this loot.

I think I have heard about local Bitcoin fees issue before, can't recollect where I read this. At first I thought it would not be true, but now that it looks like it is true and this is indeed very very bad for the local bitcoiners I am sure there will be some sort of solution, I am. Sure where you able to contact them and find about why it so happend.

8669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin after 1st august = Unstoppable? on: July 09, 2017, 01:08:15 PM
Is it safe to say that? assuming that everything will go as planned, UASF will get activated and everyone will switch to it and support it. (both services and individuals with more nodes etc.)

Yes it shall be unstoppable as currently the buzz sounds out like there won't be any hard folk happening and if there is no hard folk then it shall rise at a amazing phase, and we shall see very soon an incredible rise in the prices of Bitcoins, it feels like the good old days of Bitcoins shall come back very soon, and it's a good thing that this long drawn out saga is finally coming to a conclusive end.
8670  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum and 1st of August. on: July 09, 2017, 12:49:51 PM
Hi all,

I have all my BTC on Electrum since 2013.
Now this hardfork is coming and I'm not sure what to do.

Please can you tell me if I should quickly download BTC core wallet and transfer all BTC there or should I just leave all BTC on Electrum ?

Thank you very much for help

Welll you are not alone to have this kind of fear, going forward to August 1st many shall have this question, personally I have been using coinbase.com without any issues for so long, but now due to August 1st I decided to movie out of it to electrum. As far the wallet it's absolutely secured until you don't give away your seed or private keys. Just keep it lock and forget about it, that's the best idea, prior to fears of a hard folk, currently it's feels like there won't be any hard folk as of such.
8671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS] Poland blocks illegal fiat gambling sites. on: July 09, 2017, 12:26:35 PM

Hahaha this was about time and it was about to happen nothing surprising in this, Fiat is running out of its utility, Bitcoin is the only currency worth having and fiat is banned, cause it's easy to trace with and someone must have reported of some illegal activity and this shall only boost Bitcoins. It's in fact good for Bitcoins.
8672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 09, 2017, 08:22:38 AM
deal with Man United is shocking. The reason, the previous player is widely rumored to be back to his former club, Chelsea.
Lukaku this season became Everton's mainstay weapon to break into the opponent's goal. Total, he successfully create 25 goals and six asisst. I think this is one of the best purchases needed Man united

I have always been a Manchester United fan and honestly I am not convinced that Lukaku is the right man, if I had the option I would have got morata for the simple reason look how many LA Liga games he has played and look at his goals. Only 5 less than lukaku, only time will tell if he really is worth the price, though good thing is Rooney is leaving, he needs game time and the love. Another news that is doing round is Bakayoko and james could be on their way to Manchester United. Now that would be one he'll of a transfer and if it happens, Conte shall resign lol.
8673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone ever tried medicine to control impulsive gambling? on: July 08, 2017, 10:58:58 AM
For those into gambling have you ever tried to took some medicine just to control your impulsive gambling?

Like the Magic Bottle?  Cool

I have never heard anyone take medicine for gambling, even if some one would, what's the guarantee that he would not gamble away that money lol. Instead of Medicines, I would suggest therapy or giving money to some family members or locking it up in bank. There is no fixed medicines for this and one should not even attempt to take it, God knows the side effects it could cause.
8674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 08, 2017, 06:30:25 AM
England vs South Africa , Test match, after a good knock from joe root, mm ali and Broad, England made 458 and South Africa are now struggling as they lost 4 wickets for 107, now this new fresh pair is their hope they score some good runs.
in the test format, England is the best team for me. they have very strong both batting and bowling side. at home and abroad they are a really tough contender with the red ball.  test series between South Africa nad England might be very competitive but at the first test, I can assure you that England is going to win clearly...

Currently, England is a quite strong team but at the same time, SA is not doing so good. If SA is in full swing then England can't win against them but somehow SA not playing up to their full potential. Now SA is trailing by 244 runs with 5 wickets remaining in the 1st innings and if they don't build good partnership then England will get a good lead in this first innings.

So have been on the decline for quiet a while now and it's not really surprising to see their decline happening again. England is a good team no doubt but I feel they are getting lucky cause Africa is not fighting hard enough to win this match. I do hope they wake up and fire it up in the second innings or make something good of their remaining innings other wise it shall be one way England.
8675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2017 Football Summer Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 08, 2017, 06:26:59 AM
After the big purchase of Lacazette for Arsenal, it seems almost certain that Manchester United will buy Romelu Lukaku for 85M from Everton!
Mourinho, then definitively abandons Morata, but wants Gareth Bale.

Real Madrid can sell Gareth Bale for 100M and then buy Mpabbè

Chelsea,at this point, is likely to buy Belotti (Torino)  for 100M.
I really can't believe these prices being quoted by some clubs for their players, Real Madrid and Chelsea started this and now the market is totally broken. I doubt Mourinho would want Bale, remember it was due to Real Madrid evaluation of a bench warmer Morata that drove Manchester United to Lukaku.

I can't believe that Manchester United are ready to pay 100 Millon for lukaku a player Mourinho did not deem fit, I would rather have brought morata, for the simple reason look at the amount of game time he got and look at. Lukaku game time morata scored 20 goals and lukaku 25 goals, plus morata was a far better fit, I think he's done this just to upset Chelsea and I don't think it's a nice move. I yet hope Chelsea take lukaku and we get morata.
8676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Wall Street Predicting Bitcoin To Hit $55,000 In 5 Years on: July 08, 2017, 04:49:14 AM
Straight of the printing press the paper is still hot and the ink wet as we deliver this story to you this evening.

Top Wall Street strategists see bitcoin 'cannibalizing' gold, worth as much as $55,000.

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/07/strategist-tom-lee-weighs-sees-bitcoin-going-as-high-as-55000.html

Updates if we can be bothered to post them...

Just one question what is the author of this article high on weed, meth etc? This days people just want to get high and enjoy the popularity of Bitcoins. I think this is the quite high exaggeration at its best. I will be happy if it goes but then I feel it's highly doubtfull I think he may be written 5500 and added one zero by mistake that's what I can infer so far, let's see what others have to say.
8677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin popularity made it vulnerable to governments on: July 07, 2017, 08:44:17 PM
Bitcoin is growing and booming. The governments are watching it, they waited and now they have figured out that it's time to takeover this cryptocurrency. Now they want the masterkey of blockchain but the problem is who really owns the masterkey? Satoshi Nakamato?

The government doesn't care much about Bitcoins popularity, it care about its taxes that it can make people pay by regulating It. Their existing earnings are effected, but putting taxes on Bitcoin gives them a whole new scope and that's what they have intended to do. No as people have pointed out to you there is no such thing as a master key and so no one can control it, this was all thanks to the idea of satoshi who had for seen this problem could arise in the near future.
8678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A big food delivery service is accepting Bitcoin in Germany on: July 07, 2017, 12:53:18 PM

A big German food delivery service (Lieferando/Takeaway.com) is now accepting Bitcoin in Germany!
It's a huge thing for Germany, they do not have a lot of stores accepting Bitcoin.
Of course it's a little bit of a marketing thing for Lieferando, but who cares.

What do you think? Germany to accept Bitcoin step by step would be great!

(In English):
https://news.bitcoin.com/germanys-largest-food-delivery-service-restaurants-accepts-bitcoin/

This is excellent news especially for those who are in Germany and those who are planning to travel to Germany, one reason I see this could be happening because because of brexit, and euro is under pressure so getting Bitcoins as a hedge is always good idea. Secondly people shall freely spread the word about this so both ways every one is benefiting. That's nice actually.
8679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: July 07, 2017, 12:49:46 PM
I have read in the news that that like bitcoin as virtual currencies are assets and does not have the characteristics or what it takes to be a currency that could meet our modern economic needs. It was said that it does not have the fundamental attributes. What are your thoughts about it?

Personally for me Bitcoin is a aspect and a currency also. To explain to you, it is an asset if I store my money in it, and I expect it to appreciate. It is a currency for me cause I use it to buy and sell goods and services. So the answer to your question is what would you like it to be. People don't understand it is completely decentralised, strong, so it's the best, it's use depends on person to person.
8680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: July 07, 2017, 08:34:09 AM
bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable.

currency should be more stable.

you may reply me. currency is not stable also but you should think

USD currency price is up and down 1-2% in 1 month.

bitcoin price is up and down 20% in 1 month.

what will people think if they just change USD to bitcoin then their money down 10% in 10 minutes?

bitcoin can become stock but cannot become currency

Well Bitcoin is the best currency ever and if you want to be happy with your $ be happy. What you don't understand is Bitcoins is far way better, Bitcoin is not centralized, it's decentralised. It's cashless so no need to carry it around, it's secure, safe and cannot be stolen. It's value increases and increases way beyond one can imagine. You can buy and sell using Bitcoins and you should understand this, sadly you don't seem well updated.
