8681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc has no value on: May 31, 2019, 12:04:08 PM
What happens is that the Crypto market has many variances, and it is not that bitcoin has no value, it has an intrinsic value and it has a value thanks to its Blockhain technology. Given these cases it is easily verifiable that it will always obey the Supply-Demand Law, which is not required to have a backup, as it happens in the Stock Market. Its value is not its price, the value is a number that can be given with the fundamental analysis, but the price is established in the market.

I really do not understand why people keep insisting there's no value when clearly, people are buying and selling it every day, every second in fact.

You can argue all you want til your face is blue that X or Y has no value but if there is always a willing buyer, then for sure it has value, regardless of what you THINK about it.

Even sand has value. And air sold in bottles.
8682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges for newbies. Does it exist? on: May 31, 2019, 10:04:59 AM
No matter which exchange you choose, always remember that you should not park too many coins there.
The reason: your coins are on this market and you have no more private key for your coins. If the stock market is hacked or closed, you can no longer dispose of your coins.
There are enough examples of this.

You shouldn't park ANY coins period.

Exchanges are meant for you to exchange coins. If you're a full time trader, then sure, you've got no choice. But if you're just interested in making a trade once and want to hold, then never park coins there.

You always think you could risk it but the exchange gets hacked eventually or exit scams or whatever and you're out. Better safe than sorry.
8683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How I turned $50k into $500k on: May 30, 2019, 02:04:49 PM
I agree with the principle. Don't think about market cap, about marketing etc. Buy a product that has great quality and then you will be happy with it no matter what.

But hey, it's a price game in the end for most tokens. They get speculated on no matter what they contain (no matter even if they have a product!).

I like Byteball for example. Great product, incredible! But see the price. And then see EOS haha.
8684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold ETH or Exchange with LTC on: May 30, 2019, 12:52:01 PM

Understanding the trends will give you some good hints to whatever decision making to consider, you have both BTC and ETH while eyeing for LTC,
again, both coins are for long term holdings but if you can play inside the market fluctuations and you are a risky type of a trader, you can switch
while the trend is favoring LTC and switch back once more when the market turned to ETH, it's too risky but some traders can deal with it.

Make sure you have good anticipations and you analyze before taking your decision.

Sure, that's easy to say of course we all know this! But I'm a Litecoin holder for a very long time. Only a small number, but I worked very hard to get it, so I'm proud of what I have because it's all my hard work, and even today at this price I'm happy, not to mention what it might be when it becomes its ATH again.

Would I ever trade it to ETH or BTC and keep speculating? Nah. Not worth the headache.
8685  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚖️ Crypto Gambling Foundation ⚖️ - Fair Gambling For All on: May 30, 2019, 12:05:52 PM
Good question, could someone explain why Bitvest is no longer on that list? I'm almost 100% sure I remember it being. And I played there before too, don't recall any bad blood with any players there. It would be really cool to update the list with when they got membership, when (if) revoked and reasons for those. Transparency and all that.
8686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Intraday vs HODL on: May 30, 2019, 10:49:27 AM
If you know how to trade, then this is the best occupation in this market. If not, you can use HODL. In fact, it all depends on you and your free time and desire.

Everyone knows how to trade, or at least they all think they do, and that's the problem isn't it? Tempting to see 10% gains in an hour, and imagining the wealth after just a week. In a bull run, very easy to do just pick any shit coin and it starts working. Very addictive too. But then people find out the hard way that it's just luck and when that turns against you?
8687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: May 30, 2019, 09:45:20 AM
Stupid game. Arsenal controlled the first half well didn't they? And then as usual they do what they're famous for and crumble. All those things people were saying about Sarri losing control of his team and the players fighting? I'm beginning to think that's all just mind games ala Mourinho style. Poor Emery though, and poor Arsenal fans.
8688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to be a "Faketoshi", better than any other "Faketoshi" !?! on: May 30, 2019, 09:12:31 AM
I didn't really get much of that, but great post;) I really want to be a Faketoshi, if it gets me 100000 followers and gets my name for free in the headlines every day. You know I look at the Twitter posts and reddit, those who support Faketoshis have a really big capacity in their brain to accept fantasy and use it as the truth.

I want Truthbary on this!
8689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinDeal Is Getting Ready to Enter U.S. Market Following Successful Sponsorship on: May 30, 2019, 07:48:36 AM
They definitely got a lot of exposure, Wolves were a great team to watch worldwide but I don't know anyone of my friends who even watches any type of American sports. In fact, I've never even seen a football match from the US leagues, just the national ones.

Doesn't matter anyway because CoinDeal won't serve my country Sad
8690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 29, 2019, 11:19:08 AM
So many cryptocurrency projects solely on privacy claim to have advanced stealth technology with better scalability, yet their prices have not done any good. Monero price remains strong. It shows that asides the technology, there is much more that determine value

No it doesn't the others are snake oil and/or not ready for prime time and people are not as easily fooled as they used to be. All these other so called privacy coins are all worthless and worse yet can be putting people in danger.

Exactly, everything else took the cue from Monero and then tried to call itself superior. Altcoins tend to say they're better than Bitcoin and use speed etc. Monero isn't different that much, everyone claims it is more private.

But I disagree about price being a marker. Dash for example is a lot pricier, does it mean it's better? Monero's solid, it works and it has uses. I can't say the same about others.
8691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ETH] Church of Holy Ether - Roleplay is welcome on: May 29, 2019, 08:54:28 AM
Guys, chill out. This is a roleplaying channel, so if you don't know what it means, I suggest you look it up.

But to summarize, it means it's just a silly game where everyone is trying to have fun, pretending things and make believing things. Everyone is free to make up their own stuff, in fact it's encouraged so everybody participates.

Me? I don't have time even to sleep so I pass but good luck.
8692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: May 29, 2019, 08:18:47 AM
Thoughts on CL grand final? My hearth and brain says Liverpool.

This is such huge chance for them to end the season. I think all non english fans will cheer for Liverpool.  Grin
Maybe there isn't just me here who thinks Livepool is the UCL champion this season. I, too, think of the things I talk to each time on this topic. 65% seems to be very favored Liverpool. I want to see the reaction of Tottenham fans here, whether they believe they can win against Liverpool.
65%? I just saw them talking about Liverpool here which means maybe that is a high percentage maybe 99% of the community here are favorites for Liverpool to get the CL title this season. If we look at the last 5 matches between Liverpool vs Tottenham then we find where Liverpool get 3 wins with a draw once and lose once. It was an interesting match because both teams were very ambitious to win the match by creating many goals at least over 2.5 goals. So even though it's a CL final match by playing the English team but that doesn't make the CL final uninteresting, because both of these teams are very ambitious to get the CL title because this is a very good opportunity for both teams.

I don't think 99% is fair to Spurs, or even fair to Liverpool. Yes, they've beaten them twice already (2-1 I think on both home and away) but they have generally been very difficult to predict as both like to attack and both like to also counter. Son and Eriksen will play their roles for sure and especially if Kane is back it will be a lot for even Dijk to handle.

I don't think it's really worth betting on Liverpool to win because of the odds. Goalscorer bets are my pick.
8693  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can We Expect A Legally Compliant Bitcoin Bank Soon? on: May 29, 2019, 06:06:08 AM
Don't we already have legally compliant bitcoin banks? They may not call themselves banks but if you have corporations offering custodial service for crypto, offering loans for crypto, and some even offering interest for your crypto savings, then I would call them banks in any other industry, don't you think?

So they're here already:)
8694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: May 28, 2019, 09:47:25 AM
It's not completely dead yet now since there are still some upcoming projects. The reason why IEO come is that most investors don't trust it anymore because when it enters in exchange there's really a big difference.
yes, it gives a guarantee of being registered in the market for IEO tokens, but it does not guarantee that the project can survive on the market. or guarantee the price will be good. because the development carried out still depends on the team that works hard for their products. so keep doing your research before you invest in ICO or IEO.

Not only that, it doesn't even guarantee that the project is even legitimate at all, never mind about the survival. Looking at only the past two IEOs I know of, they died within a week of listing, and their channels died even faster, except for all the angry investors of course (but what were they expecting, people would buy useless tokens from them at 3x on listing day?).

Stay away from IEOs unless you actually love the project.
8695  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: May 28, 2019, 09:06:33 AM
Anyone care to share bets made at 99x weight and at 0 weight so we can compare what the differences would have been? Might get more interest and more people too! I think someone did make a suggestion to add some estimations calculator so yeah that could be something interesting as well. Guess a lot of us stood by the sidelines for a while, (although I made a bet just out of curiosity).
8696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GlobalCoin by Facebook - speculation. on: May 28, 2019, 08:27:42 AM

If this can happen, billions of people will know this crypto market and this is a great opportunity to attract a large community from Facebook because this is the social network most people use. I personally believe that the launch of GlobalCoin coin will boost growth for the crypto market because thousands of big partner companies will cooperate with Facebook to increase the value of this coin higher and can achieve Huge changes in the future

You think so? Billions of people who use global coin will really embrace crypto? No, they will love the idea of a coin that's inside FB, but no different from a coin inside a poker app or a farming game. You think Globalcoiners will want to open a Bitcoin wallet, remember the private keys and sign transactions? And then what if they want to convert it to dollars. You think they really want to go to an exchange and go through the hassle?
8697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if ICO is scam or not? on: May 28, 2019, 06:17:32 AM
Well, there is not strait jacket rule to follow in order to detect whether a project is scam or not, however, there are some few checks and tips to include in the research to ascertain a good level of confidence about the authenticity of the project. Firstly, during the research, the investor must look out for the actual profile of the team behind the project. Here, the investor must follow the social media outlets of the team members and come out with accurate information about their data. The data must be coherent and valid as this will help determine the expertise level of the team. Secondly, the investor must look out for the product and its demand level on the market. This part helps the investor to know how serious the project is especially if the project has an already functioning product on the market.

It would do well to remind people also that authenticity of the project does not really say much about the intention to scam or not. If I were a scammer, I'd want to create an authentic project. An actual white paper, an actual blockchain even an actual product that works, etc. The more I give people to see and use, the more they will invest.

It's really important to try and see past the hype and get a sense of the developers and community, if they're real, or if they're just on for the ride.
8698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What caused this round of callbacks? on: May 27, 2019, 08:44:42 AM
What do you mean by the cause of the call back? The market has been bullish for over 4months now. The recent pull back in the market was just a correction and the market is on its way up again. If you are not yet ready for the bullrun, I suggest you get ready now

I guess what he means is, what's caused this latest round. It's been a few consecutive weeks of bull momentum despite all the bad news and otherwise zero news for the bulls, so it is kind of strange to see a tight pullback. Corrections are always believable and expected, but they usually don't just happen in deep fallbacks like what OP probably referenced.

Not that it matters because we're now heading for new highs in 2019.
8699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODL HODL portfolio on: May 27, 2019, 08:07:13 AM
the rest you should invest in LTC. It can really give you profits of up to 100-300% in the next 2 months. halving events come close and you know what you will do to get more money. good luck  Wink
I also believe with the LTC for the next few months there will be a big increase. now I think the market movement in the uptrend has started again. bitcoin has increased and I think this will be followed by altcoin in accordance with market trends that have occurred.

Well seeing Litecoin at $111 is a really sweet spot for me to be honest, especially when we haven't even reached halfway through the year now. Of course, we are sure to see corrections happening very soon, but for me, as long as we can continue to see Litecoin go up, and perhaps who knows? We never see prices below $100 again (until the next bear)? That would be really nice for us LTC hodlers!
8700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: May 27, 2019, 06:45:51 AM
Looks like I'm not the only one who couldn't even bring myself to look on the bright side with Barca. You know, we were stronger a few seasons ago when we LOOKED weaker. And then when we lost our Super Front 3 I thought that was really it too, Messi and Suarez growing older and Real would smack us, but we somehow survived and did so well.

But this is really it. This really, really is it. How do we bottle it so badly can only be explained by a manager with bad tactics and players who need to go. I have no words most days now. This is a bad season, we can thank god our rivals in La Liga played so badly.

As LTU says, from treble to trouble.
