47 people got the poll wrong so far.

The answer is "you don't know."

In behalf of the Filipino community I apologize for that behavior of our countrymen who did not think of others who plans to sleep while he/she is celebrating something. That incident can be reported to the local law enforcers because they only allow loud videokes up to 12 midnight. Nevertheless, not in all part of the country is like that.

its OK, it came on at like 10 AM and I usually sleep till 10:30, so no biggie. most of the time the videoke is off by like 10 PM or midnight... most of the time. I like to sing too but I usually do it in a KTV or a bar.
8723  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Large Bitcoin Collider (Collision Finders Pool) on: December 17, 2018, 04:13:09 AM
I find the whole thing to be pretty awesome. What are you afraid of? they might stumble upon your private key, or expose a vulnerability in the system? If so, then that's the way it was meant to be, and the next iteration of bitcoin will need to step up their game in terms of key generation and security.... "Quantum-resistant" I believe the term is.

No, that's not the term, "Quantum-resistant" means resistant to quantum computers, which Bitcoin is not. That's not the problem because there are no functional full-capacity quantum computers yet. There are some prototypes, but none delivered what's promised.

I understand that, I'm just saying that's what bitcoin would need in order to fully be sure private keys can't be brute forced as the LBC project is more or less attempting to do.
8724  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Large Bitcoin Collider (Collision Finders Pool) on: December 17, 2018, 03:43:05 AM
Through some advanced mathematics LBC is able to check this list of several million addresses

Advanced mathematics?!... WOW... Its more like advanced stupidity!

Good afternoon. I recommend that you read the forum rules and do not break the rules.
Thank you friend for the recommendation and for the attention to my problem. But I did not violate the rules of the forum.

Its a clear case of plagiarism. What narrows it down is the fact that you used two exclamation marks at the end of your sentences, just like the other plagiarists. While its possible Google Translate might have given you the same results as something that was written before, to use the exact same punctuation is a statistically outlying giveaway.

Unfortunately for you, most of your other posts appear not to be plagiarized. Your account is not coming back to you though, sorry about that.
8726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves knock out Ethereum on: December 16, 2018, 07:25:35 AM
I've had the WAVES client since 2016 and while I think its visually very pleasant and relatively easy to use (not to mention super easy and cheap to create your own token), the fact is there is a huuuuge ecosystem of projects that already ride on Ethereum -- some of which are pretty innovative and doing interesting stuff. Ethereum will never completely die, and its gonna take a lot more positive movement for WAVES to gain Ethereum-like traction.

Interestingly, WAVES is only down about 81% since the beginning of the year, compared to ETH's 88%.
8727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency would you engage to gamble in? on: December 16, 2018, 05:53:18 AM
Back when directbet.eu was still around I liked to gamble in DOGE because of the fast confirmation times (usually less than 1 minute). It allowed you to lock in good odds during live events. With BTC you had the chance of a bet not confirming in time before the odds shifted.

I miss them... It was a great casino model where you don't have to deposit funds into an account. You just send your coin to an address that corresponds with the bet and provide them with the address you want to receive your winnings at (if you win).
8728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Westland Storage the next BitConnect SCAM? on: December 16, 2018, 05:45:15 AM
It looks like one more time is coming storm of ponzi schemes. This is another one with deposits in cryptocurrencies:

https://elirtex.com/

They offer even higher profit becauese 15%/week!

Lol. Obvious scam is obvious. I'm definitely going to be forwarding this website to known scambusters on the forum. Eventually these types of scams will run out of people who are not educated on what a scam looks like. I mean at least that's the plan.
8729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 15, 2018, 02:06:28 PM
T-shirt reads "Stop Being Poor"...

Why didn't I think of that??!

It's being poor itself that's been holding me back all this time, for no reason.

Oh man, so many problems instantly solved.

Lambo City here I come.

Wonder what cunning plans this guy has for this prime piece of real estate he just grabbed right here.

Maybe he's going to sell the space and his account to a translation bounty hunter.
8731  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: December 15, 2018, 12:42:50 PM
I just saw that post, and laughed my ass off.  If satoshi had spent his entire time here posting twittbook quote pyramids he probably wouldn't have any merit either.

Dude. Just imagine what a sick bounty campaign payout you could get with Satoshi's account, bro.

That would be great if the first thing Satoshi did when he came back was join the PrimeDice sig campaign.

Guess what bitches? You know that shit I said about keeping your wallets and private keys backed up, well, I should have listened to my own advice. That shit's gone, son. Don't hate on a playa. I still got to get mine.

(yeah yeah I know I'm in a sig campaign, what can I say, like Satoshi, times are tight over here)

Wonder if this is a Google Translate gone awry, or... whats going on here... Guy's got his anatomy ass-backwards.

But the truth is if you falled in love with bitcoin as an investor or get rich quick, then you must be heart broken right right, from the anus of my heart I sympathize with you all.
8732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Aren't we killing the market ourselves? on: December 15, 2018, 10:57:45 AM
Cryptocurrency works with the demand and supply principle so if we really want our tokens to have value, then the best thing to do is to hold and motivate others to also hold.

How does "holding" increase demand? It potentially only decreases supply. The fact is a lot of these coins and tokens, I'd say 90% of them, offer no real utility and only exist because from 2014-2017 crypto was the next big thing. They are ideas marketed to people looking to cash in on the whole crypto craze without any long-term goals or will to follow through with them.
8733  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-13] Nigeria’s Opposition Candidate Promises Cryptocurrency Regulations on: December 15, 2018, 10:34:02 AM
Nigeria, besides being highly involved in crypto and ICOs unproportional to the rest of the world, has also been rocked by its share of devastating MLM and crypto scams, such as OneCoin, Trade Coin Club and another one called WonderBank.

Regulation is probably a good idea as crypto remains tremendously popular there.

They also place 4th worldwide in most searches for bitcoin, just as a testament to how popular it is exactly:

8734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The release of Satoshi's personal data on: December 15, 2018, 09:46:58 AM

Just my simple view: If Satoshi was a right wing, he wouldn't be wasting time with a decentralized currency. It just dosn't match.

Also I don't understand why he would use that particular pseudonym. Sounds very un-white power. (If I were him) I would have gone with Karl Wagner or something.

@DT sorry buddy but without actual proof as has been described above et al we just can't go with you on this one.

Just think of how frustrated Faketoshi must have been when it was revealed that the keys he used to "prove" he was Satoshi to Gavin Andresen were found to have previously been embedded in the coinbase of the blockchain.

Unlike with CSW, I'm not saying you're a liar, but the evidence presented thus far just isn't very conclusive of anything.
8735  Economy / Speculation / Re: IS BITCOIN STILL BAE on: December 15, 2018, 09:02:33 AM
what do you all think would happen to BTC come 2019?. are we ever going to still experience a bull run or is this the best time to abandone ship?

Contrary to popular belief, Bitcoin's purpose is not to "experience a bull run" so you can sell it to accumulate more of your national currency.  What I'd like to see happen in 2019 is for more people to realise that freedom is worth whatever price it happens to be.

In general I agree with this sentiment and its all-too-forgotten that BTC was not designed to be an investment in and of itself. However, unless we can make fiat-to-BTC conversions faster and cheaper than they currently are, BTC is less than ideal as a means of currency, and it can only be viable as a transitional intermediary currency.

You could ask Venezuela or Iran how well their currencies are working out for them. If it loses value every day, as BTC has tended to do throughout this year, its not really a store of value and alternatives will be sought.

Sometimes a loaf of bread is more important than "freedom."
8736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: QUESTIONS 51% attack possible? Is BTC dead for good? on: December 15, 2018, 08:46:08 AM
Taking a quick look at the mining pool hash rate distribution, BTC is looking more decentralized than ever.

There's a ton of new tiny pools that are entering the mix, plus the biggest percentage of mined blocks is coming from "unknown," which is a bunch of independent miners not registered with blockchain.com.

Old equipment is constantly being outdated by new -- its not going to do much good in mining BTC. Maybe other coins.
8737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The FREE Coin, the first cryptocurrency for global cryptocurrency usage on: December 14, 2018, 02:58:01 PM
I know I can not convince someone like you, with all that anger and frustration you have in you. I hope that one day you will look back, and realize that we really are working to get this into a success for all coin holders.

I just see you trying to peddle this coin under the promises of profit, which means somebody else will be taking a loss. You're not "creating wealth," just simply trying to fool others into buying a bunch of digital nothing. The signs of a scam are always the same.

1. Promise huge returns
2. Create market pumps
3. Have little to nothing tangible to back it up.

Your whitepaper is completely devoid of anything original or intellectually stimulating. You claim you're trying to "help spread awareness of cryptocurrency"... as if there's a chance somebody has heard of FREE Coin and not heard of Ethereum. You are piggybacking off the second most popular crypto claiming you hope to achieve what it is already achieving.

So those are the reasons you will never convince me. I've seen dozens or hundreds of scams in this place and your project fits the stereotype to a t.
8738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The FREE Coin, the first cryptocurrency for global cryptocurrency usage on: December 14, 2018, 01:07:44 PM
You forget the about 135000 USD that the project team did invest untill now in the listing fees for Exchanges ... From our personal financial means ...

By "project team" do you mean "you"? Your compatriot Emmanuel Adams is an ICO advisor for like 10 different ICOs. I'd be highly surprised if he pitched in on this.

Here's the thing: you got the tokens for free. You can sell them at the lowest price possible and still make a profit. Everybody you sell to is just going to be sitting on their tokens hoping new waves of suckers keep coming in to buy their tokens at an even higher price, which likely will never happen, because you're still sitting on 5+ trillion tokens. Unless you demonstrably "burn" the tokens by sending them to an unspendable Ethereum address, there's no way of knowing you won't just dump them on the open market for the rest of eternity.
8739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gave us something more than the protocol on: December 14, 2018, 01:00:32 PM
1. cant be inflated? you might want to check on that.
there was in 2009 -2013 an idea of limiting bitcoin to 2.1quadrillion sharable units of value(satoshi's). plans are already being made to expand that to being 2.1quintillion sharable units. which will continue the mining reward/halving process well beyond 2140
(millisats)
imagine there were only 10 banana's in the world. then imagine there being 10billion slices of banana.
banana's are no longer rare and out of reach of people to buy.so they have lost their.. accuse the pun. appeal

You know the set limit of coins is 21 million. Going with your analogy, no matter how many times you divide up a banana there's still only 10 bananas. A central source isn't harvesting new bananas and putting them into circulation. That's the difference.

I’m not watching this, can’t be bothered but if I was I wouldn’t be betting on it.

Here's the most important part, highlights of the bikini catwalks:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUI0gMY8TTc

Most of the final contestants are in there.

My girlfriend hit me 4 times as we watched this as I was stupid enough to provide my commentary.

Don't want to be a bandwagoner but I would go with Philippines; Russia is my long shot.
