In the end, I agree with what you say and I don't think we need to change the DT system (but they can do, is not a big deal to me if it will be a better version of this one), we just need to add few DT1 and some DT2 with them. I think that with only adding very active people it can change the forum in a better place. |

Base on my reports, unhandled reports percentage is high.
In my experience, unhandled reports are for "hard to decide" posts and for reports about "famous" members. If reports are for basic spam they are handled quite fast (under 1 day). |

Increasing the merit requirement for jr. Members without making any reductions anywhere else is the way to go.
Yes plus, make it retroactive like the last time. 5-10 merits are the way to go. Actually, if one jmember is banned it requires only1 merit to rank up again with a new account. If we increase this level to 5 it will be harder to rank up abuse, buy/exchange merit and the spam will decrease. |

I think this is not a good feature, they will encourage the revenge to search on old post history for a specific member only to create damage on one account.
To get a valid use of Evil IP we just need to enable the retroactivity so a lot of spammers/abusers will be afflicted.

SMS verification is a very bad idea, it will stop only potential good people, bot and abusers will likely use virtual online SMS generators to bypass the problem...

I think the idea of the current DT system is working in a good way the only problem is that is the that the list of Dt1 is stopped at 5 years ago and the list dt2 is stopped a couple of years ago. Maybe you just have to expand this list and add a couple of trusted people to the list dt1 (without shady past) and a dozen active people to the list dt2. Also, you could add to the list dt2 some people who "are taking care of the forum" and who punish the people who are abusing the forum and not only people who managing the marketplace. Or creating a new DT2 rank with any name and doing this kind of work, it's unpleasant to see that a large part of people here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.new#new and here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4695194.msg42378900#msg42378900 are not tagged for abusing since a year, since almost nobody of DT cares about them. Finally, I do not believe that a dynamic dt1 is a great idea, in the end it could be a goot trust network, but for the first months we would have trustworth people with negative rep for revenge and vice versa scammers with positive rep. |

The same thing happened in the previous years. 2017 was definitely the best year for cryptocurrencies but it doesn't mean that they will be abandoned. Many more people may discover Bitcoin. The OP doesn't know how much the sources have spent from their allocation vs their earned sMerits, so I'm guessing all of their spending will be subtracted making merit sources less likely to appear on this list.
Op can't know how sMerit have sources or how much airdropped merit a source had in the past since those data are private and can't be find anywhere (They can't find only log in the account, maybe admins can see these data with admin privileges). The only thing that Op can do is: [Received merits(-1 if odd number)/2] - Sent merits = merits on Bags. Yes he needs to put -1, since every 2 merits we have 1 merit generated and we can't have 0.5 merit on bags. |

Anyone know why TERA2 was banned? I found him irritating but certainly not offensive or nefarious.
Seems not banned but locked, he is probably not good to keep his stuff on a safe place. Already got 2 stolen accounts. My account TERA2 was stolen (again). Luckily this time I was able to lock it in time after getting the email message to lock the account within 14 days. However, I do not see where this leads to actually recovering my account back to the old email address. How do I do this? I dont believe I used any BTC/PGP addresses but I just want it reset back to the old email it was at a few days ago. Thanks.
