8761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange and Hacks on: May 13, 2019, 11:29:54 AM
Pending the time crypto community and developers look for a way to tackle this kind of problem, the best approach is to take off your assets from Centralized Exchanges. I do not consider any exchange safe after the binance hack. Hackers are advancing and each crypto user should take the safety of his/her assets serious.

If people are still storing crypto on exchanges, even after reading about all these hacks and seeing how people struggle to fight against exchanges in court and STILL not get their money back, then I think people will never learn.

They know it's bad, but they still do it. They know it's wrong but they can't change their habits. Good world for hackers to live in.
8762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC getting too expensive to gamble with on: May 13, 2019, 08:46:40 AM
The fee will increase as the price of bitcoin increase or if bitcoin is bullish.

I am constantly doing deposits and withdrawals and every time I send from my wallet, I should set the fee to .70 usd or more to confirm faster.
When I withdraw, I also noticed that trading sites paid over $1 for transaction fee and they don't charge me anything on that, they have a free fee for every withdrawal.

That is absolutely untrue, there have been coincidences but no, the fee has always stayed more or less the same in satoshi, but you feel the pinch because of Bitcoin's ever increasing price. In fact, that's also not accurate. Ever since new upgrades, Segwit being the most obvious, fees have been decreasing in terms of satoshi. More transactions inside a block and smaller transactions so of course fees are cheaper.

What kind of wallet lets you set fees in USD? That's a very strange wallet.
8763  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you think so please stop! on: May 13, 2019, 08:03:01 AM
Look here. I'm a holder for the long term just like many others, but let's face it. If we have to tell people not to be greedy and not cash out, then we might as well just make Bitcoin a forced hold. Don't worry about what others are doing! If they don't sell, then there is no market. And there's no more place for us to enter and reenter. Bitcoin can grow without this intervention and in fact will become stronger.

And you're also mistaken about this being the longest bear market ever. Seriously? We only saw 3000 low. And now we are at 35% of ATH. That's so good to have.
8764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites offers investment on: May 13, 2019, 06:06:11 AM
In my opinion, try as much as possible without investing. Because of my experience from my past, I feel that most people can not even grow their investment money, because of not being able to play properly. They all went to the money. But I do not know what some of the gambling sites offer at this time.

And where exactly did you do this investment? I am in profit in all the sites I invest in currently, (whether directly in bankroll or indirectly via dividend returns on casino profit). And what do you mean "not being able to play properly"? If you invest in a bankroll you don't even have to play.

And then you say you don't know if sites offer, but you said you had past experience. So which is which now?
8765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cloudbet's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 13, 2019, 04:59:27 AM
Well done all of you guys! I spent a few weeks at the top I remember, but then after taking risks that didn't pay off too many weeks in a row, I couldn't even climb back up into the Top 5!

But this was a really great group of people, I enjoyed it a lot and it's definitely cost effective and something I hope to do again next season. To be honest, I am a La Liga follower but this season may have converted me to like English football a little.

Good game, everyone!
8766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: May 12, 2019, 12:47:32 PM
We have a strange match tonight. Valencia already knocked out of Europa League so now they must fight to qualify for CL via the La Liga, but they are still in fifth place with two more matches to go. They can still do it, if they win tonight, they will be on level points, and if we beat Getafe tonight they will most likely jump above to 4th place, and then they only need to win their final game to qualify.

So should we do them the favor and beat Getafe? But that would give them spirit when they meet us in the Copa del Rey final!
8767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019 Shopping List on: May 12, 2019, 10:49:56 AM
I am a bit different from you when it comes to choosing and buying coins. I rather go for lesser known tokens in the hope of reaping much profits. The logic is when you buy already established coins, there is less likely chances for them to increase multiple times in price. But if you buy new coins just hitting exchanges, they have high chances to go up multiple times in price.

Lesser known coins are not just the only factor, because I can show you that 95% of coins in existence are lesser known, but the ones that have reaped profits are not in those 95%.

That is token economics logic sure, but you know, Bitcoin as the most illogical coin in price rice continues to prove everyone else wrong time after time.

It's not just about logic of economy, it's also about fundamental strengths of the coin.
8768  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: May 12, 2019, 10:13:04 AM
Most of the responses assume that the winner will chose the bitcoins and not the car and that does not answer the question. No reputable dealer will allow anonymous payments <even if it is cash, because large amounts of cash is flagged> I also doubt that Wetsuit somehow achieved the impossible to get a dealership to accept an anonymous Bitcoin payment for the car.  Roll Eyes

It's actually quite easy to buy a car through an intermediatory. That's what https://www.moonassets.io/supercars are doing for example. They don't actually sell cars they just handle the Bitcoin to fiat conversion.

I think a lot of people who don't live in a country like mine where we have a lot of financial structures to help people do things don't realise that it's easy to do a lot of things via a third party now, as long as you're willing to pay someone a fee somewhere.

Bank accounts, buying houses and even islands. You can even use a trust to help you get your lottery money if you win lotteries and don't want to reveal your name.
8769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how do you choose Altcoin .. ?? on: May 11, 2019, 01:46:51 PM
Woah ! If im going to imagine or visualize what you are saying i feel that it is verry time consuming  . reading alot of articles related to the token that you want to invest i also tiresome but no doubt that its pretty beneficial in the long run because you will gain some knowldge  .

Its easy for a new ico to create a good looking project only for the purpose of attracting thier potential costumers but thats not guarantee that they will be succesful at the end  .  this is why i will basically stick on the older coins that is already listed on the exchangers

I think, sometimes, the altcoin chose me. I have quite a few altcoins to be honest, but only a few that I've really regarded well and only the same few alts that I keep adding to every time I have extra money (not counting Bitcoin which is still always about 80 or even 90% of whatever crypto I buy). Let's just say it's Monero and Litecoin that's right at the top. And I didn't so much as choose them as they made themselves available to me, because of where I chose to visit and where I chose to learn about crypto Smiley
8770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term plan for investment. on: May 11, 2019, 01:14:37 PM
Until now I still have a few coins and store them safely in my wallet. Some coins that I have invested for the long term and most of them are coins from the Bounty project. I am sure that in the future it will provide a very good advantage. Even though I also do short-term trading and in my opinion, this is very important. When the price of coins has increased slightly, I am ready to sell coins.

Good move, from my point of view. I have the same concept from when I started buying my first coin. I never saw the 2017 bull run coming but it was okay, I wasn't ready to sell yet, and I wasn't ready to get out yet. I knew when I entered that I was going to be in it for the long term. Of course I sometimes regret I didn't sell at the peak and then re-entered at bottom so I could triple or even quadruple my investment but at the end of the day, my plan was always many years rather than many months.
8771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Insurance for trading exchange on: May 11, 2019, 11:43:41 AM
Surely this thing has should be done bay some companies who able to do it, but in the current situation I'll bet there is no company who able to make it happen. There is many problem that will be faced by them, government's regulation, hacker factor and many thing that will make a company will think a thousand of time to do it. But, I'll believe if there is an exchange itself who become an insurer however this thing should be owned by all exchanges.

Um, just look at the two responses above yours and you can realize that there ARE some companies able to do it, and have already done it. The four exchanges in the response just above yours and then all the exchanges that have licenses in Japan. The government in Japan has issued licenses to those exchanges approved by all these regulators and one of the requirements is they must use the insurance as required by the government. So there you go. Please pay attention my friend!
8772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greed is bringing loss for traders on: May 11, 2019, 08:51:56 AM
Greed is good, as they say in Wall Street, but what people don't realize is that they don't understand the nature of greed. Being greedy for wealth and power, must be matched by the ability and smarts to get there.

If you're just greedy like 99% of altcoin traders, then you have no idea where you want your dreams to be, you place it way above what can ever be achieved, and then you pay for it when bubbles burst. Again and again.

Watch this cycle end, then see again the whines in 2 years;)
8773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Insurance for trading exchange on: May 10, 2019, 02:21:34 PM
A lot of trading exchanges have been hacked and users funds stolen leading to the closure of such an exchange, following the recent hack of the binance and 7000 btc stolen by hackers and the effect of such on btc markets, i think the trading  exchange should consider an insurance policy to cover loss in case of funds theft.
Do you think this idea with work in the cryptocurrency business?

This is already done in Japan since they introduced cryptocurrency license for exchanges. All exchanges must get insurance from an approved insurer, to insure deposits made by customers. Just like in a real bank in most countries. IF anything happens, insurance gets paid, and customers receive back the money. I understand that it has worked but it results in high premiums from the insurance, which is passed on as costs/fees to the customers.
8774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Projects which are interested to do IEO on: May 10, 2019, 12:43:10 PM
Why are you looking for them? I guess you have an exchange and want them to conduct an IEO on your exchange so you can attract people to join your platform and get some volumes. Am I right? Unfortunately, that's not good for investors. First, they risk their funds on the project. Second, also they risk their fund on your platform. So, it will be double risk for them.

Forget volumes, they just want their cut. This is precisely why I think IEOs are not much better than ICOs. Projects will PAY to get approved by exchanges. And exchanges are getting fees paid upfront plus a percentage of the sales so why would they want to deny projects completely? They would even help projects dress up their offering to make it LOOK better but underneath it will still be the same poor project, but you know, as long as it attracts investors.
8775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: May 10, 2019, 12:08:08 PM
I think Arsenal deserve the trophy of Europa League this year as they have been a beautiful team showing great football during the whole Europa League season. They also deserve to win a title because they are fighting for it for so many years and now is the best chance to make this happen.

If we forget about everything they did or failed to do in Premier League, then yes, Arsenal deserve to win Europa. But the same can be said for Chelsea. Fine, Chelsea did finish in top 4 unlike Arsenal, but the difference is just a few points. They were both equally terrible, who can forget Chelsea losing 6-0 to City? So I think the best teams in Europe outside CL did end up in Europa and the final reflects that. But neither deserve the cup more than the other. I personally hope Arsenal win.
8776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell bounty token at a loss? on: May 10, 2019, 10:42:30 AM
In any case, it is not always necessary to sell coins at low prices.  And first of all it depends on the real prospects of the project and how the team works.
Not necessary if you believe that the project is so good. But if it isn't, you should start considering of selling that and move to a better coin as an investment before your money is gone. That's how you take if you value the coin that you have, you need to sell at loss and recover in some other coins or sell if you are contented with it.

As much as I'd like to believe it, actual token owners who are also actual supporters of the project don't exist anymore. Especially not if it was an ICO token. It's a conflicting concept anyway, to own tokens/coins for a project that had to be bought, because people who support ICO projects at the end of the day are seeking only profit. So as a bounty hunter, if your bounties were part of ICOs, then you know it's just a matter of when to sell. You already lose as soon as you start (time and effort).
8777  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: May 10, 2019, 10:05:15 AM
If freebitcoin goes up and says the next lottery will be for a castle in Scotland that worth over 6 million dollars (I wouldn't be shocked about freebitcoin doing awesome stuff like that though) then I will be sad that I didn't keep all my money for that one but as long as that doesn't happen this is THE lottery to join.

You know, if it is a castle or real estate, I probably think that is a good deal. Problem also with cars is the resale value, you immediately lose money if you buy a car thinking to resell it. Of course, I guess people who want a Lambo wouldn't ever think of selling it. Castle in Scotland only costs 6 million dollars? I didn't know castles were so cheap!

Maybe the next prize lottery can be an island home;)
8778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone who use mobile wallets? on: May 10, 2019, 07:24:18 AM
Actually one of my first crypto wallets was a mobile one, because I didn't know how to use a proper wallet that was a light client (SPV). I started out using stupid web wallets, then when I learnt I needed my own wallet, I tried mobile. But you're right, I believe it's not as secure, mainly because I don't trust my phone apps, is one thing, but also I'm just always afraid to lose my phone.

So now I stick to desktop SPV clients.
8779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Bitcoin hit the 6000 threshold before next year? on: May 09, 2019, 11:03:38 AM
$6100 reached for Bitcoin! Shocked That's very good for the crypt market. And with the news about Facebook who is going to open more the advertisement on cryptocurrencies, the market is going to explode.

I'm pretty happy. I'll be much happier if it keeps above 6k until Monday though. And then let's see if we can maintain above 5500 for the next few months. Retracing is almost guaranteed, as usual, and 10% drop should be normal, but anything more than that and then we risk reentering below 5k and lower. Not that it's a problem short term. But I'd really like to end half year above 5k, 6k if possible.
8780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is not that bad as stated on: May 09, 2019, 09:54:03 AM
They both serve different purposes. ICO is a decentralized (and crypto compatible) way of funding blockchain project. It's more like saying there are less scam projects in Stock Exchanges than cryptocurrency exchanges.

Well,  ICO or more decentralized funding system will produce better  decentralized projects in the long run than STO or IEO

Exactly! I honestly don't get it when people get scammed once, twice, and then they suddenly think it's different another time around because some big platform and some big influencer says it will get different. Just because an IEO is vetted by an exchange doesn't make it not a scam. Weren't there plenty of ICOs backed by big guys who all turned out to be scams?
