So what are the news here, quite a while since the last time I checked the thread.
Some big news ?
Just saw that the ICO raised 9 millions, that's great !
This is a summary of the latest updates (just copying Melissa's post on telegram for some of you that don't have telegram): Hiring: We are interviewing amazing Real Estate executives and technology developers to join our team a.s.a.p. Legal/Banking: We are opening different bank and exchanges accounts to prepare our ETH/Fiat exchange when timing is right. Because of last news that is proving to be harder than before but we are moving forward. Operations: Our CEO Enrique Dubois is setting up office and team in Singapore, and some of Barcelona staff is relocating in October to our Singaporean HQ. Exchanges: We are continuing to talk to different exchanges. They have been under big pressure for the last weeks and have not been very responsive but we are progressing. Product: We are finalizing the platform designs and advancing on the product development. Basically she say that exchanges are a mess right now but they'll deliver the product no matter what I know about exchanges, a lot of DDOS going on. Some projects had to push really hard to make the listing process accelerate. But overall, seems like everything is going fine !

e are absolutely not worried about China, mainly because there are some misconceptions flying around. Let me clarify somet things here:
China did not and is extremely unlikely to ban Bitcoin. China did not ban ICOs per se, instead it banned the funding of Chinese projects through ICOs, which means that they can still participate in projects from abroad, such as UTRUST. China did order local companies to issue refunds. They cannot and will not try to regulate ICOs outside of their regulations. Our Chinese community (on WeChat) is alive and well, growing daily and very interested. Check it out if you speak the language!
I hope this clarifies the situation regarding China. Seems like you are well informed. I did not know everything about China ICO ban before learning about it in this thread. That's very interesting to know !

Well, seems like everything is going well for PayPie. Good reviews, nice media coverage and Korea. Good job, must have been hard to do, accounting is not the hottest subject out there

Paragon is getting some good coverage from bigger publishers. That's a good thing at the time when ICO is running. Almost everyone is amazed by Jessica. Well seems like being a model helped a lot in this ICO But, in my opinion, it's the fact that they are the first major ICO in the cannabis indusctry with great ambitions that did the job.

Good to know the tokens don't have any dividend.
The influence on the price of Bittrex is too important in comparison to the dividends that token can offer.
Well, yeah, the amount of utrust won't give many dividends unless you have a HUGE amount, so that is what I think the reason they didn't go that route, it wouldn't get the token much value, it is better to increase its value with scarcity, burning tokens is a better solution, plus it will give the token an open door to some exchanges like Bitrrex. This is the first time I hear about dividends in cryptocoins. I know what a dividend is from traditional stocks but what does it mean for cryptocurrencies? And what does it have to do with UTrust? Well, a lot of ICOs were about dividends, I don't remember much about those project. I think that something called ICONOMi was an example. I think that those ICO were the problem which bring the USA ICO ban, because those token could be considerate as securitues

how are you going to convince models to take Live Star coins? are you going to pay in USD? have to be easier conversion to regular currency for withdrawal otherwise hard to convince them
Well, once they find a convenient way to make the conversion, something that even person who don't know about cryptocurrencies can do, the adoption will be quite easy because the share they give to the models is way bigger than those of the competitors.

Yes, try to spread the word about it on other social medias too Those kinds of things are what bring trust and investors to the project.

Seriously? https://github.com/paragon-coin/tokenThis is not code for an extremely intricate, HIPAA compliant blockchain platform like we were promised, it's a smart contract that might as well have been copied and pasted. I don't know much about code. Someone else can confirm this ? I think that's just a smart contract, why should it be complicated ? You are right, this code for a smart contract shouldn't be complicated at all. The problem is that from the beginning they have been selling people an entire platform, the platform code is the code they have said over and over would be released. Without the infrastructure to implement all of these promises they have been making they are literally just selling you a useless token. Ah, I don't know when they will release their code or when they said that. Maybe a member of the team can wast a light on this.

They raised full amount on pre-ico? (as in the announcement - 1.5 mln usd). For which period they raised this amount? And when ll be start ICO? Can anyone give me exact date?
Not full amount but, the 15% which was reserved for the Private Investors and Pre-ICO. The exact date is not yet finalized but it is expected to start in the first week of October. No, no. I seen this. On 1-st page: 100 mln tokens for private investors (sold) 50 mln - Pre-ICO (sold) So, they sold all this tokens or only part of them? Perhaps do you know the exact prices in ETH, USD and BTC for which UTRUST tokens have been sold in pre-ICO and during the initial private funding phase? Wow, I did not know about those private investors. Those investments were massive from the start !

Yes, there seems to be a real work by the team on media campaign. That's a really good sign for the project.
I'm eager to see the ICO, this one should be very interesting.

I've just seen a Charles Hoskinson conference at Nexus and now I have a dream, in 30-40 years PayPie doing credit scores based on cryptos because fiat is dead
Well, when cryptocurrencies will be really popular there will be quite a clash between fiat and cryptocurrencies, I think it would be true chaos

Well, there has been a lot of ICOs which failed in the CAM industry. Maybe the investors are not ready for such a business.
I still think that cryptocurrencies are perfect for this industry, thanks to the anonimity its provide.
I'll need to take a look into this project, I followed some projects like ShineCoin but it was a total fail.
Too bad the product has not begun to be developed. I'm sure that a working alpha with some models ready to work for some hours on some days would attract a lot of investors.
I'll need to take a look into the whitepaper and see if this project has some potential or not, but the ANN presentation seems quite good, let's hope the whitepaper is of the same quality.

PayPie CMO, Yohan Varella, was interviewed by AccountingWEB, one of the major global accounting tech websites, about the impacts of A.I. on the accounting industry. The interview was held at the Accountex Conference, the biggest accounting tech event in the USA, and is just 2 minutes long. Check it out! Well, it should bring some investors in ! Too bad the video does not have more views, what is the communication and marketing team doing ?

I can talk about Germany. It's really hard here to get cannabis for medical use. Only a few a lucky enough to get a prescription.
Germany's Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) confirmed on Sunday that the patient from Mannheim, southwestern Germany, will be allowed to grow a maximum of 130 cannabis plants a year in his bathroom. The cannabis is strictly for personal use, a spokesperson said. BfArM had previously rejected requests to home-grow cannabis. There are currently more than 900 patients in Germany who are permitted to use the drug for medicinal purposes. However, the cannabis must be purchased from the pharmacy and financial costs covered by the patient. One gram currently costs around 15 euros ($16.85). Prior to receiving his permit, the Mannheimer had filed multiple lawsuits, arguing that he could not afford the monthly costs of around 1,500 euros. In spring, Germany's Federal Administrative Court ruled that BfArM must "allow the claimant to grow cannabis, harvest the drug, and use it for the medical purpose of his treatment." Well that's some good news here. Seems like that the perception of cannabis is evolving.

This article got more than 11 thousandth views already which confirms, that this project is attractive for a lot of people. It will be interesting to see how will ICO go. Proof of performance is the next big thing NaPoleonX will get a lot of attention from a lot of big investors. This ICO will be huge! I really hope this project is too big, I'll try to invest some $$$. Must reach at least the soft cap Like I said previously, that's the kind project that easily can attract some whales. Give them a way to easily make their capital grow and they'll come in mass.
