881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Teach me to invest in NFTs. on: May 30, 2022, 09:35:17 PM
I think legacy NFTs will be valuable in the future.
I am sharing the link of a few articles I wrote about old NFTs.

https://blog0x.com/post/mutant-monsters-2019-high-potential-legacy-nft-collection-1649342007

https://blog0x.com/post/xcpinata-2015-i-counterparty-i-tarihsel-nft-ler-1647701872

I recommend "mutant monsters" and "Curio Cards" if you have the patience to hold on for +5 years.
seems like OP was not active after making the thread, and here we are suggesting so many things. Haha
But NFT has got so much hype during the recent years. People are searching more about NFT - artist and photographers are getting involved in the NFTs. But the question for a newbie is where to start from.

All of those reminders are on point.

The current most hot issue about Luna and UST have thought these lessons to those who lost a lot of money including their life savings. Saw some investors who have borrowed money just to invest in Luna alone.

We are not suppose to criticize or laugh at them, even though they did not use their spell money to invest in Luna coin. Many other coins has done what Luna did. The thing is that nobody knows the project that will yield positively before concluding to run investment with a lot of capital, the things i seen that caused this massive lost via new adoption projects, is inability of the investors to research and know the potentiality of the project before investing for long term investment. And in this case of investing via newly launched coin you most not use borrow capital, because of the risk involve on it, because the project never build it's reputation or trust.

i really got your point right here but do you know that one cannot over smart those guyz out there behind any project, they go far to an extent to satisfy all your possible research aspect just to satisfy you doubts but yet they have bad intention hidden, you can only make research on what they put online but can we truly read their minda? they will go along way to pump hype, views, rate, market cap, vol. and reviews as part of their manipulations, they will even pump funds beyond reasonable doubts, am not saying that making a research is not advisable but that does not solve the whole problem, just in the case of Luna, i so much believed many have concluded on their extent of research to be satisfactory before this happened, now its setting in another second wave, yet many will still go for it, taking risk is the whole talks in altcoins which doesn't really worth it.
In our society - people are very overconfident, if they get a little knowledge they think they have got all the skills to master the work.
This overconfidence is a killing attitude. One should always has a guide or master to seek help and learn and master an art in which they are diving.
Very sorry for the losses made due to overconfidence.

First of all, its so surprising to see my quote among the most famous members I admire, so thanks for that. Yeah this is what it is we don't need to have extra intelligent to educate we simply can share what we know and people who wants to take it can take and others just let it to pass. I always try to keep the answers simple so everyone can understand it better.
These are very amazing advices - and credit goes to you for giving credit to you who helped in motivating you.
How you remembered all these posts dating back from 2021. Do you keep compiling them since the beginning? or do you have a sharp memory?
884  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another warning for every NEWBIE! on: May 29, 2022, 08:34:08 PM
Borrowing money for investment has it's advantages and also greedy isn't that evil like many are saying, been greedy at the right time can yield insane reward, being greedy when others are fearful is the best move in crypto space, that's the time you want to be buying.
Unnecessary borrowing is trouble. Inviting trouble unattended can bring in so much demons along.
I like all the points mentioned in OP - stay contented and keep your saving saved.  Greed and lust in one of the deadly sins. So be aware.
885  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No man is an island on: May 29, 2022, 08:31:26 PM
I had my days of critics too it only made me marry my research tools and also contributed to what i know about crypto as it relates to the world at large. I don't think this critics are there to discourage but rather it is a means of pushing every one to discover more. personally i had those times when i almost felt i didn't belong here but for the sake of knowledge and to broaden my horizon i had to push on. Every good work deserve encouragement and in due time it will definitely flow.
Criticism is health. Don't take everything to heart.
but yes - learn from the mistake and move on. I follow my leader, who makes a mistake and then comes back even stronger. So time and tide don't wait for anyone. Give you best, every day in everyway~
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 29, 2022, 08:26:43 PM
You are lucky that you lose only 98$, I lost 175$ yesterday and 60$ last week. You can easily imagine how I would be feeling right now. Gambling is all about losing your hard earned money in few minutes or seconds. Despite all my efforts I can't restrict myself from gambling.
A loss is loss, and what made my loss bad is that I lost every bets to roll over 20. That is really bad, and a loss of $235 is really big for a common gambler. As far gambling is concerned, don't try to recover those losses. Give some time or take a break and this will help you atleast get back little than emotionally getting lost.
Yes, loss is a loss whatever the amount is however you must also consider the lesson you've learned from this experience. First of all, never to gamble with money that you don't even have. You've gambled funds that is supposedly for payment on your debt which ended up losing.
Also, for Blatchcorn, don't invalidate someone's loss just because of the amount they've loss on their gambling activity as compared to you that was able to afford to gamble right after losing 175$ . OP already has a debt of thr amount he had gambled with so there's the difference.
Anyway, I hope you've learned your lesson with this experience to never gamble with funds you can't afford to lose especially if it's already reserved for something else.
I live in a society where we are not allowed to gamble - we don't have any pub in our regions. Almost 85% of population dont drink neither they gamble.
So we are unaware of the feeling - how does it feel. I did a small offline bet and lost approx $10 when I was in school, I was unable to sleep for 10 nights. I am not sure how the OP is surviving.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PROS AND CONS OF CRRYPTOGAMBLING. on: May 29, 2022, 08:18:51 PM
The big advantage is of course that it is relatively anonymous, apart from the KYC. You can deposit as much money as you want, there is no one to check or view a transaction and possibly put it on pause as banks often like to do. And it also goes very fast, you can gamble fairly quickly on the site after an upgrade. And for a payout it is of course exactly the same story. Anonymity could also be a disadvantage if you have problems with a casino.
If there is a KYC, it's not anymore anonymous but what do you mean precisely by saying it could also be a disadvantage if you have problems with a casino? All cryptocasinos are offshore casinos, even russian ones like the one you are promoting, then I don't really understand what giving your identity will change if there is a concern. It usually only depends on the good will of the casino, they only care of their reputation and their need to keep or attract good customers. You will never been able to bring them to justice.
In many countries where gambling is a taboo - and people do not gamble because its not legal and its considered as a sin.
The people there can do online gambling and satisfy themselves. However - those people have a thought behind their mind if they are doing the right thing or not.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 29, 2022, 08:16:05 PM
Real Madrid was just lucky. Liverpool would have won that match with a very high goal margin

Liverpool had got a good opportunity to make a score at the first half but all efforts wasn't yielding but instead resulting into failed attempts, they dominated the beginning and we all hope the game will really be in favour of Liverpool that yesterday not until they whole thing begins to change after second half

Real Madrid was not a fantastic team in that match and they couldn't create much chances but they maximized the few they had

if we consider that match by giving a closer look we could see how Liverpool made an outstanding performance all through, what really got me upset was that despite the activeness of Liverpool in that match they never make it an opportunity for a score, how i wish they won the match because it is deserving for them considering their performance, aside the goal Real Madrid had was the attempted goal by Benzema which resulted into offside, but Liverpool had made the whole match with fun in their play.
THis seems the fastest moving forum. A lot of discussion and very quick too.
Congrats to Real Madrid for taking the trophy home. They are the lucky one. Good play Liverpool - so close yet so far. Luck sat on Madrid side.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe you dont like current financial system but its the way how it is on: May 29, 2022, 04:43:10 PM
Many people do not care about the financial system, live life like flowing water and will certainly find many problems if there is inflation or the main source of income, this makes us have to care about the financial system so that it can make our lives better.
Unfortunately, no matter how much we discuss and brainstorm, things won't change. Life will go on as it has been for the past years and nothing would change unless the leaders we pick have the vision we wish them to have.

Most people have the tendency to avoid and evade problems rather than face them and try to find ways to overcome the problems. For example, if inflation occurs there would be a very small section who actually cares about how it can be avoided while the majority will be more than happy getting some free money from the government and find ways to earn more money.
Public has no option to financial solution - the only solution is to find an escape.
The systems are designed to support the system - there are less benefits for the general public. So we can play safe and decide not to be trapped in scams.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 29, 2022, 04:39:35 PM
Real Madrid is not an easy team to beat, especially if it's a final. It can be proven by how many times they made it to the final and the percentage -+90% they could win that match. It's incredible what Real Madrid have achieved since the start of the Champions League. And it is very difficult for other teams to match Real Madrid's title acquisition.
So finally Real Madrid picked up the trophy. Proud moment for the team.
The league ended - real treat for those who were betting on Real Madrid. Hope they won too and enjoyed the treat.

Gambling is good when you win - but its a serious serious trouble when you are at losing end.
Gambling is considered as illegal in some region. Now I realize why it is illegal.
892  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: May 29, 2022, 04:15:19 PM

Yes.. I read about the seizure of Iran oil by the Americans. This has to be the stupidest thing to do, when the crude oil prices are nearing record highs. I really doubt about the intention form the Biden administration. What do they want? Are they trying to hurt oil-importing nations such as India and Japan? Because neither Russia nor Iran has been harmed till now from all this drama.
Now I feel trump administration was far better than Biden administration.
There are news coming from Sri Lanka and Pakistan - particularly Pakistan, that they have serious trouble with Biden administration. I think Trump America was a better America.

That is only good if the people who surrounds these gamblers won't give a bad compliment or some negative comments in anyway because if that's the case then I won't be shocked if these gamblers are also not interested in sharing their problems and how deep already they are in terms of being an addict because they knew that they would just hear some unwanted comments instead of getting some help from them. That's how toxic our society in todays world Sad
gamblers face it more often- but they are careful with what funds they are risking.
He risked his rental and bills money on the gambling. Which was a very bad mistake. Hope he has learnt through this mistake.
894  Economy / Economics / Re: What can an average JOE do to face the global food crisis? on: May 26, 2022, 09:14:50 PM

This is what I am thinking also, you don't need big land to be at least self-sufficient. A small garden can already reduce some of your food expenses. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to tend one. It just needs a lil bit of hard work and once you set-up your garden, the maintenance would not be a burden as it may need only a lil bit of attention. At the end of the day, it is your willingness to explore what you have and not complain with everyday things.
After reading the suggestions - what did average Joe decided to do.
I believe Joe can take care of the food, grow his food, save water. And make a minimalist approach towards life.
Less is more.

A little dip into the harsh reality floating in the mud of Russian propaganda/

About "freezing Germany" Smiley
Germany and Qatar have signed an agreement to deepen their cooperation in the field of energy.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said at a press conference together with the head of state of Qatar that the agreement, signed on May 20, "opens up many opportunities for successful cooperation." AR reports.
Scholz said Qatar also "has huge potential for renewable energy and hydrogen production." Germany plans to build two liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals for deliveries from suppliers such as Qatar.
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said: "Whatever we can provide for energy security in Europe even during this period, we will take care of it." The Qatari leader confirmed that Doha plans to start delivering LNG to Germany in 2024 and called Europe an "interesting" gas market.
Rudy Baroody, CEO of consultancy Qatar Energy and Environment Holding, said Qatar is poised to meet German LNG demand in addition to supply to existing customers, citing the expansion of the giant North Field natural gas field.
"Qatar will be able to provide 20-25% of Germany's total gas consumption in 2024," he told Al Jazeera. The expansion project puts the country on a path to further increase global sales overall in the coming years, he said.
The question is - where will the country of terrorists put gas, which buyers in the EU will refuse? I think - they will be "saved by fraternal China" - they will buy them out that way ... at $ 10 per 1000 cubic meters, and all beyond the Urals Smiley
Now the history will be made - I am very sure the trade and relationships of the country will change.
This war has also placed Pakistan in a very difficult position. Pakistan was neutral on their stance for Ukraine and Russia war. But nothing worked our - and the people have seen the disaster inside the country.
896  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe you dont like current financial system but its the way how it is on: May 23, 2022, 06:45:09 PM

So they prefer to keep the status quo and just kick the can into the future and let someone else deal with the disaster that is coming, however this only makes the future crisis and the collapse of the current system even worse, so with this in mind we need to prepare for it and investing in bitcoin seems like a good choice to me.
We live in the world where we do not like most of the things.
But there is nothing we can do. We only try to avoid the unpleasant things. For example - my dad was not a finance person neither AM I - so he advised not to get a credit card because you don't understand their hidden charges none of my siblings have credit card.

Go grow your own food little joe. grow mushroom in your store room and grow vegies in your balcony. Use lesser water and do rainwater harvesting in your home. what else you can do. Don't waste food. It will be helpful for others

Exactly, it will really help people to overcome food crisis in their environment, if they will be able to follow the procedure farmers used to preserved their crops for long period of time. Am into peasant farming with the little money I made from crypto investment few months ago which will really help me to make more food available for my family to enjoy. I think many people will like to embrace this advise to avoid food crisis in their country by going into peasant farming to make food stuffs available for their family consumption.
Joe can help in his little space - he can grow his food. Share food with the other.
promote organic and natural stuff. Also - as mentioned above by saving water and doing a little waste can be very helpful to the joe as well as for the planet.
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: May 23, 2022, 06:39:28 PM
We watched a great competition for the league title and Manchester City made it at the end. It was a really epic finale for them undoubtedly. Although they played the game as 2-0 behind for a while, they still did some magic in the last moments and made the comeback they wanted finally. I wonder whether they would still be able to do this if Ilkay Gundogan didn't enter the game after Aston Villa's second goal. His contribution to the championship was incredibly much in this match. After this incident, Liverpool will need to focus on the Champions League title.
I didn't guess wrong, finally Man City won. Had doubts because until the 74th minute they lost 0-2. But the dominance of the Man City players was incredible they were able to turn the score into 3-2 and win.   Man City really made the Liverpol fans happy until 74 minutes of the game but in the end Man City made them cry again. Quite a surprise, but this is the final result Liverpool still have a chance to get the UCL trophy this season. They should be able to perform as hard as they can and concentrate on the Final.
Bad luck for Liverpool - in first half it looked like liverpool is going to win. But then luck sided Man City,
What a match it was. Time to celebrate to be reaching to final.
Liverpool - Bad luck guys!
899  Economy / Economics / Re: Wheat War I is going to be World War III on: May 23, 2022, 06:37:11 PM
During the disputes over Odessa, approximately 1.1 million tons of grain were transported from Ukraine to Romania by rail and road. This is the maximum that can be taken out by land in the current conditions.

Not sure whether it is possible anymore. The railway track runs through the Dniester estuary, and a crucial bridge (Zatoka) was destroyed last week as a result of missile strikes. Ukraine was using this track to transport weapons provided by NATO nations and as a result Russia decided to take it offline. And as a result the wheat can't be transported from Odessa to Romania using this preferred route. Other routes (both rail and road) exists, but I am not sure whether they can handle this much capacity. And railway system all across Ukraine is in a pathetic state as a result of missile strikes.
Heard that Russian forces are confiscating the food and utensils of Ukrainian so they die of hunger and cold.
This is curel - the damage done is already very big. There is a need for mercy and forgiveness so that life comes back.
900  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ? tactically .. on: May 23, 2022, 06:33:46 PM

Regarding the resources of Russia. Technical - tell me, what can you say about the situation, for example, with tank units? And the situation is such that now they are trying to restore and transfer the almost decommissioned tanks to parts? Smiley The losses are huge, the costs are huge, production cannot fully replace - sanctions + technological left for Russia .... Human resources "thinned" by almost 1/3 (killed + wounded), from the combat-ready composition before the war. There is no demobilization, but there are coffins in all regions.
Let's say for a minute - enough damage is done. The warlords should take a break now.
The world has suffered so much during last 2 years. Inflation is uncontrollable now this war - this is affecting the whole world. May the powerful understands.
