Yep, seems to be working okay although depends on where you are sending your coins, Bittrex for example have upped their confirmations to 6 instead of 2 just to be safe. |

Once people are able to deposit their BCH onto exchanges and dump, it will take a massive dive at least for a bit.

At this present time I would say no, the reason is that you can't deposit BCH to the exchanges yet so all those that had their bitcoin locally have no yet had the chance to dump and from recent days it sounds like a lot of people will be dumping BCH.

Thanks for the guide , think I might just hold on for a bit longer until a method comes up that doesn't involve having to hand over your keys, especially if some of the addresses are still in use.

Yes because it is a divergence from the current bitcoin so would mean it is an alternative version of bitcoin so altcoin it is, regardless if more people support it and it becomes the leader it is still an altcoin, in my eyes anyway.

I have 6.7 BTC in my offline wallet.
After fork, if i send 1 BTC to bittrex wallet will i get 1 BTC and 1 BCC either?
Can i sell each of them in separate markets?
For example:
1 BTC =$3000
1 BCC =$500
Then
1 BTC before fork is equal $3500 after fork.
you're right, I have 0.6 btc, and today.. after I download a bcc wallet and open it with my btc private key, it has the same value as my bitcoin wallet, So right now I have 0.6 BTC and 0.6 BCC, its just free money and I have no idea how to use it. Is it a trap or something? because I have bad feeling about it. I've read you should put your keys into a BCC wallet AFTER the fork. I did the same (mistake?) yesterday and i saw the same. I had the same coin amount on both wallets. I don't know if you can already "use" them before the fork happens. I doubt it as the coins will not exist until the fork happens, they are only trading on some exchanges ahead of the fork as futures. |

Advice from pretty much everyone is to not transact during this period just in case, especially if dealing in larger amounts.

Payments may be delayed for the Aug 1st event. No worries guy, i hold the funds for all these campaigns paying in BTC. Noone will lose anything

Nice guide and a handy list of exchanges, for anyone thinking of using an exchange now I think pretty much all of them will have frozen deposits as we are quite close.

BicoinCash is just another altcoin but with an airdrop giving bitcoin holders free coins. Unless something crazy happens and people start supporting the wrong coin.

I think I saw that Bittrex will still be trading just not accepting deposits or withdrawals in btc which makes sense. They will have a record of everyone's bitcoin balance surely during this period so should be able to continue trading?

I think ICOs will be around for a while yet, very few coins / projects were looking for an ICO years ago but with the rise of ETH it seems that it is a very popular way for people to make / scam money.

most of the time, the devs cannot confirm on WHEN their coin will be listed on exchanges, it is up to the exchange admins if they want to list the coin and when they will list it. so we just have to wait for the announcement about it What do you think is better: listing on exchanges when there is something real - or immediately after ISO. IF immediately after ISO - the price will definitely be dumped ... And will investors benefit from this? Better - beta release first - and then - exchanges. I think it is always better to get on exchanges naturally rather than paying to get listed. |

Not every ICO will generate profit or at least not in the short term, you might be lucky with an ICO but you can also buy existing altcoins and make similar if not more profit.

I think coinbase is having some issues recently with withdrawls taking ages, I am sure I saw an email from them saying the would not support BCC. Maybe there is somewhere else you could make your purchase if you want BCC as well.
