Palmer is pure class. To go into a top team at 21 and carry the team on your shoulders is not an easy feat. To do it as consistently as Palmer does is remarkable. Chelsea need to settle whatever financial issue they have fast and without the sale of Palmer.

- Jay -

And especially a team like Chelsea, that rotates too many players and still can't agree on their gameplan.
Palmer is definitely in contention for the player of the season award, although I do feel that Foden was a step above everybody else this season.

Truth be told, it will be hard to bench Palmer for England - but the competition for offensive places there is insane. I'm really curious to see how they will line up.

I'm tempted to bet on Manchester United away against Brentford at 2.22 odds, but the odds are a little unrealistic given that this is a game Manutd should win easily to boost their CL qualification hopes. Any injury concern?

Nothing new, Lisandro and Shaw out but other than that I think they have a full squad available.

I saw this as well, seems like too much to me too. United has 7 away wins out of 14 games and I think they are favorites to win this one. Brentford is a horrible team with a good striker, with a lot of injuries (especially in defence) at this point.

Same way with Alcaraz, I am actually thinking he will loose to Dinitrov but it just isn't worth it to risk and go for that answer when I know everyone will have Alcaraz to pass.

And there you go! Weren't you right after all ? I guess goin for an "Alcaraz - No" would have been a biggest difference maker for anyone that chose to go down that route, I just guess there wouldn't be many given the just concluded tournament. However, does that mean it is Sinners' title to lose now ? because I guess he should be the heavy favorite of the remaining participants.

Yeah, we both discussed it - shame that it's too big of a risk to take.
If I was safe in Division 1, maybe I would have - but then again when I tried to play it the 'safe' way at the end of last season I had the worst batch of results and ultimately got relegated.

It's just a game after all and going by the feeling is probably the right thing to do.

Pre-injury Curry could have done that for sure but after the injury, highest he has ever got so far was 31 points. He got 60 points once in February though so although it seems unlikely, he might be able to get atleast 41 points on the last game. Although I got him under 75 points for my answers as well, I wouldnt count this as another point yet until the 3rd game is played

Nah, I did expect he'd have 30+ against Hornets though - they are one of the worst teams in the league.
Even if the game goes into OT (which is highly unlikely), I don't think he can reach 75+.

I rated tennis question already, this league is full of guys playing it safe so we all have Alcaraz to reach the semis Grin

or we can make it 1 mBTC buy-in and see how will we do. Let me know your opinions and do it fast Smiley

Yup, I'm in for this one. 5 players from 1 team is quite a lot though, wildcarding every week looks like an overkill as well. Not sure what to even say about unlimited budgets Grin

Let's see how it goes, if I don't pay I probably won't test it properly. At first glance it doesn't sound that much fun at all, and finding differentiators will be really hard.

Za Ameriku je ovo smiješno mala kazna, vani je za 15 godina s milijardama dolara.

Nekako sam očekivao da od njega naprave primjer pa me, bez obzira na njegovo zaleđe, ovo dosta začudilo.

Yeah, it's weird that Curry's on 34 points in 2 GSW wins. He's almost certainly going under.

Same way with Alcaraz, I am actually thinking he will loose to Dinitrov but it just isn't worth it to risk and go for that answer when I know everyone will have Alcaraz to pass.

Yep, same here. Sometimes I just go with the flow, the odds just aren't there to risk with such things.

I did go with Poland expecting most would go with Wales, these risks make more sense.

I really like City @1.92. I feel that City at home over 1.70 is a gift against any team in the world.
I know City's got a few doubtful players, but most of them will almost certainly be ready for this game.

Brighton has been terrible lately so a LFC handicap sounds ok as well, but I'd rather play over 2,5 goals there.

Newcastle vs Everton @1.80 is also quite attractive.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: March 27, 2024, 11:48:32 AM
Germany did really well in their friendlies, beating both France and Netherlands.
I think that the expectations from their team have been low recently and that they have a decent chance of going far this time.

They should easily top their group - and after that would face a runner-up from group C. If that isn't England, Germany has a clear path to the QF's.

I'll put a few bucks on them winning, although I feel that it's coming home this year.

Sinner's winning this one if you ask me.

First win for GSW but not the best return from Curry. I still think he'll go 30+ against Hornets so over is possible, although less likely now.
Not that it matters to me, my fate will probably be decided by Serie A and I like my chances.

Yeah I was kinda surprised with that different treatment between ATP and WTA lol. Did you guys kinda predicted that she will flop when you make that question?

Not really, at least not so early in the tournament. The odds on her losing against Alexandrova were over 8.
Now we're just experienced enough to cover all possible angles most of the time Grin

It looks likely that there will be 7+ goals in 2 friendlies - not something that looked likely based on the recent results of those teams.

So I guess you are one of those who doesn't appreciate their 2004 euro win?  Grin Call me weird, but for whatever reason I always liked their national team and the fact that they managed to achieve something like that with their very limited team.

I really do appreciate it, I just hated to watch it.
It is one of the biggest miracles in football, but there was a lot of thought and strategy behind it.

They had their moments of luck (Czech Republic should have destroyed them in that semi), but overall they deserved their title. Not by playing great football of course, but by consistently following a strictly defined gameplan and by using all of their chances to the fullest.

why is swiatek voided for me , i predicted her to not win miami on sunday

Voided for everybody, it was known before the deadline.

Yup, WTA is unfortunately void. Sometimes this happens - the odds were quite low so we took a calculated risk with this one.
Still, 9 questions are more than enough to find the winners Smiley

I would have played her winning with 2 lost sets, so I do feel a bit lucky that this happened.

It's also written in the question itself:

9. On women’s side of the draw Swiatek is an enormous favorite after crushing all the competition in Indian Wells. She did not lose a set in the whole tournament and never even needed a tie break.
Will she win Miami and how dominant will she be? This question is void in case she drops out of the tournament before the deadline, all forfeits later on are counted as valid and last option is correct answer.

FML. Google logged me out when I submitted in last minute  Angry

Lesson. Never wait with last minute even if you have submission saved. I left it idle for hours and then when I submitted I was logged out.

Stupid tennis lol.

I just saw that you were late. As much as I'd like us to be lenient in such cases, we cannot - so you'll have to take the loss and that extra penalty point.
Last round you got a freebie, now you hand one out yourself.

No submission in Div1 for leea-1334, this will be expensive.

Not much separating myself and Hhampuz, so I hope to get an early lead through Poland today. Lewandovski should make the difference in a game like this.

I hope Georgia goes through, seeing just 10 minutes of today's game brings back some horrible memories of Greek football.

Georgia has never qualified to a big championship before, right? One more reason to root for them in the penalty shootout.
I really love Kvaratskhelia as a player - hope he leaves Napoli this season.

That's going to be some sick payout for first place, though even 10th place is going to net some small fortune for the lucky one. 8 rounds left, I'm not sure what to do with strategy so I'll just stick it in like I usually do.

Not related (or is it?) but the recent Liverpool Legends match was some kind of spectacle, apparently. Didn't watch but read plenty of reports. Does make one feel truly old to see and recall every one of the players who showed up for Sven... I completely forget El Zhar ever played for us!

Considering I'm sitting in 3rd overall yeah - seems nice from this point of view. Hopefully I stay there Grin

Regarding the legends game - it was nice to see Torres and Gerrard in action again. But yeah - I'm kinda annoyed to see El Zhar, Gonzalez and co in such games.
Sure, I get it, they wouldn't be able to assemble the team otherwise - but I think El Zhar doesn't have a single goal or assist as a winger for LFC. Gonzalez isn't much better - it just looks too bizarre.

Spearing is at least a meme and a homegrown guy - although funny to see him there as well.

Next week the clocks in Europe will be set forward 1 hour. Will the deadline be 17:00 gmt forum time again?

I think it will be 19:00 GMT, no?
I'm really horrible with timezones though - but we'll do our research by then Smiley

The spreadsheet has been graded, Purdue shockingly took the freebet away from me - I don't recall somebody with 7 points not getting it.
Well, I'm here for the wins anyway, not some meaningless side rewards.

Please doublecheck results - I really hate grading it from work. Someone always interrupting, small screen etc. I doublechecked tho so should be fine.
Trofo will update the tables in the afternoon.

Freebet winners are:

Division 1 - mitchr4 (40$ freebet)
Division 2 - Hhampuz (30$ freebet)
Division 3A - B1g4udge (10$ freebet)
Division 3B - shogun47 (10$ freebet)

As already mentioned, these will be credited next week.

The form has been reopened, thanks Slissy for the save. It's actually impressive how dedicated you fellas are Grin

Hhampuz, PedroCunhaYori - please send me your revised answers in PM and I'll manually change them. Q7 has 1 different game, it was Atletico (vs Villarreal) which has now been switched to Juventus (vs Lazio).

If something else is f%&ked up, blame my screaming children. I do.
