Newbies rarely get paid.

It's better to be here longer but a little very small amount can be made going to the higher tiers

Dillution included and share price and dividend decrease proprtionatly plus increasing hash rate on the network of 3%

How many days at 0.007% a day will it take to match share price?

142 days of no increases = 5.5 Months I think
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ask Amazon for Bitcoin Payments on: July 15, 2014, 02:37:15 AM
Amazon will be the last online retailer to accept bitcoin and only after many lobbying attempts to have it outlawed
How are you so sure? Time will say it. Bitcoins are real money in earnest, of course has its advantages and evil side like everything but it's calling the peoples attention. Amazon is just around the corner.

Whatever makes them money is what they will use
Bitcoin and amazon are not mortal foes perhaps ebay and paypal are though

887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big loss on: July 12, 2014, 03:44:45 AM
I bought LTC at around $4.17 April 2013.  I panicked when LTC dropped to $1.20 in Sept 2013 only to see it move to almost $50, 2 months later.  Cryptocurrencies are not for the weak of heart and those that can't sit on their hands.

It's still 8 dollars and some
Seems like a good opportunity for its potential up range stock and investing wise

890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People need to stop calling Bitcoin "a virtual currency" on: July 06, 2014, 08:38:17 AM
Honestly, I don't really care. This is playing with semantics. If you want to get technical, crypto-currency, sure. But I don't see what all the fuss is about to be honest. What am I missing?

Seperation required to define World of Warcraft Currency and In Game Tokens Virtual Currency

891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People need to stop calling Bitcoin "a virtual currency" on: July 06, 2014, 08:29:59 AM
We all know Cryptocurrency is a much more accurate term for bitcoin, but for those who do not, "virtual currency" is an easier concept to grasp. I don't mind which term mainstream media uses, if they think their readers would respond to it.

True but a digital currency is something as easy to get as a virtual one
So this term makes as much sense for mainstream media use.

i bought 2000$ litecoins at 11.8$ , 2 months ago   Embarrassed
please advise me sell it or wait ? or change it with darkcoin or what ? Huh

Very difficult but maybe your idea to move to darkcoin is smarter
It's at low people scared after darksend bug
But strong and developing with a nice future may be worth a risk that or diversify holdings / dollar cost average litecoin down again/ cheaper entry cost.

Ummm, no. Not sure that is such sound advice. I know there are a lot of trapped DRK holders that would love for more buyers (Wink), but DRK is a pretty dangerous buy. Bottom fishing at this point, could find some bounces, but it looks like it could fall a lot further.

Maybe your right was reading darkcoin news just feels like it relates to OP's predicament.
Says 30 D low

Darkcoin and Peercoin Metric Analysis

The consistent fall of the Darkcoin price should trouble investors who bought in at prices close to double its present value. However, DarkSend development continues to move forward, and Darkcoin boasts strength in several key areas, including developer involvement and market liquidity. CoinGecko, a cryptocurrency market analysis site that measures a number of factors to determine the strength of a coin, still ranks Darkcoin’s metric score fourth, behind only Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Litecoin. Peercoin, in contrast, sits in eleventh place due to its low liquidity levels (relative to the other major coins). Darkcoin investors should hesitate to prematurely sell their holdings.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People need to stop calling Bitcoin "a virtual currency" on: July 06, 2014, 08:12:29 AM
Virtual is the wrong word. Cryptomoney or cryptocurrency. It is about time that cryptography comes into the limelight.

Yes, crytocurrency or digital currency is correct term
The term virtual is not very accurate compared to those two.
896  Economy / Economics / Re: What about the idea of an inflationary bitcoin? on: July 06, 2014, 08:09:31 AM
Bitcoin will be a heck of inflationary for the next 5 years as is.

it's interesting that many people think short-term (what the price in fiat USD will be next month, next year at most), but at the same time look many years ahead to a far-away cap of 21 million, forgetting that Bitcoin has a double-digit yearly inflation right now and will continue to have it for the next 5 years. The brain conveniently suggests ideas to believe that they can be most comfortable with.

This is true bitcoin is very inflationary
For a few more halvings at least

897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting paid for signature space? on: July 06, 2014, 08:07:28 AM

Can you really make thousands with it?
I'm interested to also do this as I've seen threads buying signature space. and will they also be willing to pay for signatures to other business forums?
No but you can make some Bitcoins
(too much time in activity to those high tiers)
But if bitcoin price goes up could be worth thousands in the future.

899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putting a Person on a Block Chain on: July 06, 2014, 07:56:32 AM
Not quite sure the blockchain would be the funnest place to have your mind trapped in
Maybe a MMORPG playing a game forever or three dimesnional reality but Jepoardy bot is the closet we have (Watson) in AI
But if a robot passes the Turing test then it can be seen as intelligent.

I am not saying that I have cracked the code or solved for x or anything, I am just saying that a Blockchain could probably hold a mind better than any hardware and software or ANY hierarchy of systems without a blockchain.

In that case I would say that seems right, that or store it in a DNA cell seems like the future
If it evolves transplant that data storage or mind into an organic construct
Basically creating intelligent life instead of a blockchain storage.
http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/134672-harvard-cracks-dna-storage-crams-700-terabytes-of-data-into-a-single-gram

But it's hard to store a brain with ideas and thoughts maybe possible but not now.
