881  Economy / Economics / Re: Is all this manipulation good for Bitcoin? on: September 04, 2014, 01:25:37 AM
1. the longer the bitcoin price stays high the better for its core-value and volatility is very welcome for trading.
2. as long the difficulty double every 90 days and the price for a Hash is falling, the btc price level will stay stable on the high level we have now.

I think as long as the bath is set up in a modular way (components can be dropped in and out in the same slot spaces ((standardization! aw yissss!)) when upgrades are needed), we could get it done.

www.3xergy.com -------> for review!

This dance happens countless times a day….and that’s still only running 10% of brain capacity. What if you could take that remaining 90% and send it out over a Grid for someone else to use?

--> yeah , thats esoteric BS. Better keep away from that to prevent bad experience and loss of time.

886  Economy / Speculation / Re: Relationship between volume and volatility - you won't believe what I found on: September 02, 2014, 08:03:56 PM
I'd guess margin cascade is the simplest explanation, compounded by psychological impact of the cascade which encourages non-automated trades.

As an aside, it looks like:
Volume > volatility when BTC falls.
Volume < volatility when BTC rises.
Yes, it appears the exchange arbitrage is causing more than half the trades to be from external sources and once the price moves, new hedges are put in the other wall. As for your observation, looking at the spikes only it seems to be true in 50% of the cases. The market is composed of market-makers and the actual real trades are small in volume and covered by volume with later repositioning trades. It's almost perfectly liquid.

There are two perceptions that I noticed them in real time:
- During the china peak, the market was empty, nobody had any bitcoins for sale (because the offer was exhausted) and nobody wanted to buy (crazy price, already bought all). So the price changed rapidly on little volume.
- During the mtgox crash, the market resisted strongly against mtgox's arbitrage opportunity, which was of course unsolvable. Those were some of the days where the price stayed in the same region while huge volumes were traded up and down.

there is always a correlation between volatility, volume and price. mac , rsi, emas working good.
887  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hashcoins.com - New Bitcoin Mining Hardware vendor/producer on: September 02, 2014, 04:46:12 PM
Haven't visited the site for quite a few months and I can still see that there are people who haven't received their orders. The deliveries do happen, sometimes at really surprising times. I got my order for 2 Poseidons back in July out of the blue, simply I wasn't around to share that occasion. What I can say is: the machines work and the company delivers. I wasn't very happy with it taking that long, but heck, I now have my 4 machines. Not sure if I want to order anymore at this point, however, I am happy with the miners themselves.

Yeah, there is hope. Will they ship something soon?

The are only bidding on the 30% deposit...

somebody is willing to take a 700 dollar chance on a 9000 dollar order...

Can't wait for that ebay seller to get a bill for VAT of over $1k and shipping of a couple hundred.  Of course Alpha will never deliver a product, but they def will send a bill.

I guess they will ship next Year  Grin
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project Sentinel offering bounties for improvement of NXT security! on: September 01, 2014, 12:42:02 PM
I would like to invest $1000 in altcoins. What is a better investment do you think NXT or Ripoffcoin? I mean Ripoffcoin has full the potential still and NXT had already his pump but fell 4x in value compared to his highest point.

I would take NXT, but its not secure, you are saying?

What to do?  Huh

Apple signs up credit-card companies for NFC payments

Apple has reportedly struck a deal with American Express, MasterCard and Visa to bring NFC mobile payments to the iPhone 6.
The agreements between Apple and the credit-card companies will be officially announced next week alongside the iPhone 6, iPhone 6L, next iPad and, possibly, the iWatch, according to Bloomberg.
According to Bloomberg's source, the inclusion of the NFC chip in the next iPhone and improvements in its Touch ID fingerprint scanner "will allow consumers to securely pay for items in a store with the touch of a finger".
Re/code separately reported the deal with American Express, while The Information claimed a deal had been signed with Visa back in July.
Fourth time lucky?
Of course, this isn't the first time NFC payment rumours have attached themselves to an iPhone launch. Speculation that Apple will adopt the technology has been rife since the 4S, but as yet nothing has materialised.
In 2011, the company introduced its own rival iBeacon technology and, when the iPhone 5 was launched, Phil Schiller, SVP at Apple, categorically ruled out NFC, telling AllThingsD the company's own Passbook system "does the kinds of things customers need today".
However, in the three years since its launch, iBeacon support by third parties has been slow to take off, which may have prompted Apple to adopt NFC alongside its own technology.

892  Other / Off-topic / Re: List of absolutely crazy people. on: August 31, 2014, 10:07:43 AM
Hold up for a minute, the first two people on the list are "crazy" because of perpetual motion. The universe appears to be in perpetual motion, I don't see why an error correcting machine couldn't perpetuate forever.

The third may have point as space ships and suits have a bit of earth's atmosphere inside.

I've always found danks options to be an honest interpretation of the crazy world around him.

Four, five, six and seven all tripping on acid and hitting the local theatre.

I suspect a reptilian conspiracy against dank due to his musical skill as the original posters motivation in creation of the list. Has dank strayed too far from the viper pit and now he's being reeled back in before a million people show up and get high while listening to music?

the universe? you want to simulate the rules of universe on earth?

ok, what is bigger. the universe or the earth. maybe thats the problem.

we know nothing about the universe. we just watch it, without understanding nothing. you know that?

indeed. a. huxley was an inspirator for many generations. he worked close with science, had alot of friends for philosophical discussions and used mind penong drugs. i read him several times, because i like his life. the story itself has a lack of good built ilup characters but the big picture is terrific. mind blowing books: michael houllebeq .with future society studies.

897  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU CAN USE YOUR BRAIN CAPACITY 100 % on: August 31, 2014, 05:37:47 AM
Humans do not utilize the full potential of their mind.  What percentage we use is moot, we are capable of much more than what we do now.  Ignoring the movie's meaning over a percentage is semantics.  Look at the bigger picture they were trying to paint.  Clearly they had to illustrate it through some medium that it could be understood by the population.

The chemical Lucy was foreshadowing to is, well, Lucy.  Lucy is the name for LSD.  LSD has the ability to give humans supernatural abilities, I have experienced momentary levitation with the help of LSD myself.

LSD evolves your mind by increasing your sensory input.  Give the right amount to the right user and they would gain access to supernatural abilities.  I believe I can take flight given access to a thumbprint of LSD (a thousand hits), considering I partially levitated with only 3 hits or so.

So yes, open your mind, expand your potential and evolve.  Lucy awaits you.

its not about increasing sensory input, its about the use of it. drugs cant the computer brain increasing it capabilitis. its just the illusion of yourself. so lcd is increasing the possibility of seeing yourself, which is built up by the brain, but not the brains capability.

So drugs and brain  capability is BS, so far. lsd is dangerous and creepy. but if you need it , read a book instead to get more input.
