881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why most of Exchanges FAIL ? on: April 10, 2024, 09:01:36 AM
This does not concern me at all. I just use these exchanges to cash out Bitcoins or swap coins. I never store huge amount of coins in these exchanges. Moreover I have always used the Binance and Bittrex from the past few years. I never jumped to other exchanges and hence always ignored what’s happening there. The main reason for which these exchanges shut down is the transparency with the customers and government. Nothing can be done. Use the ones which are already available in the market for long term.
It'll only concern investors and traders that leaves their coins in exchanges, they'll be the ones to worry if their exchange fails, because experience has shown that despite how reputable an exchange is, they can still go bankrupt. One of the things that I repeatedly learnt as a newbie in this forum is "not your keys not your coins" and "keep your coins in a none custodial wallet", so it'll be irresponsible of me to go against these golden rules. We're not only worrying about external hackers in exchanges, even their CEOs engage in shady deals with investors funds.
882  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel Gives Only Condition For Ceasefire on: April 10, 2024, 08:03:02 AM
Israeli Military has laid down a Strong condition for considering a ceasefire in the Bloody conflict with Hamas, emphasizing the release of hostages held in Gaza as a non-negotiable prerequisite.
My biggest concern on this Israel and Hamas, war is the casualties being innocent civilians, these two elephants are fighting and innocent civilians are starving and dying. So if Hamas, doesn't release these Israeli hostages then they'll keep bombarding and killing these civilians, and I don't know if Hamas, has any better option to stop these killings, I'm really saddened by what is happening in Gaza, because the two sides don't look like they want to compromise. The death of those aid workers that were bringing relief items to Gaza, has shifted the naretive of the war, because they were citizens of countries that we're not involved in the war, therefore Israel, has gone beyond their boundary in the war by hitting their vehicle.
883  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I almost become a millionaire on: April 10, 2024, 07:06:11 AM
In the year 2010,my best friend introduce me to cryptocurrency and he advice me to invest in bitcoin. I felt bitcoin was another ponzi scheme created by scammers to scam innocent people. Today my friend is a multi Millionaire. If only I had listened to his advice,I would have become a millionaire by now.
You were not alone on that mistake, most of us also thought that Bitcoin was a Ponzi scheme, we had the money to invest in it, but we're too skeptical to do so, today we know better that it's a store of value that will continue to increase in price. The good news is that it's not too late to start Bitcoin investment journey today, because in the next 10 years, people that were skeptical about it now will look back and wish they'd bought it when it's price was $70k. Merely investing in Bitcoin for the long term is not complete without the knowledge of how to protect your wallet from hacks and securing your seed phrase, without knowing these information, hodl on the long term becomes a gamble.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you think meme coinis? on: April 10, 2024, 06:13:24 AM
But when the bear market comes, many people will regret that they invested in meme coins as they will drop more in price.

Let me throw some light on this so that the OP will full understand assuming he or she doesn't. Most memecoins are like ponzi schemes. Just as in a ponzi scheme, early investors profit at the expense of later ones. During bull markets the excitement and hype around these coins can blind people to see them for what they truly are -potentially flawed projects. Their eyes become eventually opened during the bear market because those who bought in late often end up will get rugged and the coin will be worth even less than a dollar.
Memecoins can be likened to Ponzi schemes, their projects are pumped massively to entice new investors, when this happens, the project can just vanish, and the latter investors with bear loses, so it's better to get in early, make some profit, don't be greedy and sale before the ship will sink. So investing in memecoins is risky and you'll be gambling your funds in doing so, there are more scam projects in them, although we have a few reputable memes like dogecoin and Shiba Inu.
885  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: In Nigeria those right and privilege of citizenship works on: April 09, 2024, 08:03:40 PM
If you no get money for Nigeria, or you no know one powerful person wey get mouth for di country, den e beta say make you no know your right, because if you exercise your right, you fit to land for detention, dem go forget your matter and you go grow gray hair for there. So jejely keep your opinion to yourself if you no get levels, I de talk dis thing because I don see many youths wey don protest, at last dem detain dem, na dem family go de find money to bail dem, even do dem say bail is free.

Mind your business and stay out of trouble, if you de for public wey dem de criticize di government, just mind your business, because you no know who be who for there. Naija democracy never mature reach wey ordinary man wey no get levels go protest, you go surprise say dem go release people wey una follow protest and you go remain there. Na only God, go help di common man for inside Nigeria.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana - worth it in 2024? on: April 09, 2024, 07:03:32 PM
lots of people do not want to buy solana anymore because they believe that its peak has passed and if you buy now where the price has increased, it’s never going to pay off

Where are these people who do not want to buy Solana? This is not the ATH for Solana there is current bad news on Solana which is why it keeps declining but I believe it's not the last highest price for Solana.
It's currently having issues or bugs related to transactions and they are planning to fix the issue next week by April 15 it is not only Bitcoin having issues with the network congestion Solana also experienced this too once they fix the issue expect for the price surge.
This is the crypto space and news affects there prices, so you don't expect any crypto coin to have a smooth sail and keeps increasing indefinitely, they're volatile by nature and that's why pump and dump occurs. When it's a reputable altcoin like Solana, we don't need to worry whether it has the potential to surpass it's ATH in this bull run, I believe that when it's dev. team rectifies it's network issues, it'll price will increase. So the OP will have to make that decision whether to still jump on the bandwagon or give it a break.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the best asset for investment currently? on: April 09, 2024, 02:06:19 PM
All the points on why Bitcoin is the best asset to invest in as stated so far in this thread are very correct and truly noted, anybody that's privileged to be in the crypto space will attest to these facts. One of the biggest reasons why Bitcoin is the best asset to invest in as far as I'm concerned is that you don't have to be rich to become an investor, unlike real estate and the rest, infact no matter your class in the society, so far you're earning an income, you're qualified. At your own level and pace you can start doing DCA method, and as long as you're on it for the long term, the value of your Bitcoin will continue to increase in the future, so it's the safest investment for the super rich to the average and low income earners.
888  Economy / Economics / Re: Governments and their irrelevant projects just to steal public funds on: April 09, 2024, 01:20:44 PM
Rebranding of currency designs can be acceptable if the country is trying to fight currency hording, but corrupt politicians can suddenly decide to change currency design to steal from the public purse and enrich themselves. When they redesigned the naira, I know that it brought severe hardship to the masses, because they banned the old currency while the new design where nowhere to be seen, a lot of people died while looking for the new designed notes. They eventually unbanned the old notes and funny enough we're still using the old notes till date, so you're left to wonder about what actually transpired in that project. A corrupt government can embezzle public funds in the name of proving a better life for it's citizens, in the end the same masses will become worse off than when they started their scam projects.
889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fulfill your dreams from Bitcoin, on: April 09, 2024, 12:27:51 PM
I'm very happy for you that you were able to fulfill your dream of buying a computer from your Bitcoin investment, this is the aim of investment, to use it's ROI for something that will add value to our lives. It's good to have future aims for our Bitcoin investment, especially for those that are doing DCA method, it'll motivate them to diligently follow it through without any distractions.

Don't depend on people's prayers for your future plans, your destiny is in your own hands, we can pray for you but you'll be the one that'll have to work hard to achieve greatness, no food for a lazy man, no matter how many prayers that is offered,
890  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why would someone think of suicide? on: April 09, 2024, 11:43:35 AM
I think that most people commit suicide to probably escape what is tormenting them in this life, it could be financial, relationships or just hopelessness, they perhaps will think that suicide was going to give them eternal peace. So it's a state of mind where they must believe that all hope is lost to change their situations and taking their lives was the final solution, I sometimes wonder if taking ones life will be considered as an act of bravery or cowardice, because it takes guys for someone to end their own life. I think that suicide is not the best option during trial times because others have definitely faced similar situations and eventually triumphed, so we must have a positive outlook to life, because tough times don't last but tough people do.
891  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Readability but inability to put in practice becomes investors challenges on: April 09, 2024, 07:43:32 AM
This forum is a fountain of knowledge and anyone with an interest to learn, increase their knowledge and apply what they've learnt will becomes their personal choice, although our levels of understanding might be different but if any member is determined to apply what they've learned, then it's very possible. I understand that people have this challenge or attitude of being carefree, even when they learn something valuable they'll not put it into practice, and before long they'll probably forget how to utilize what they've learnt, this is not a good habit. Everybody needs to be proactive in this forum, receive knowledge from experienced members and give back to newbies, then try to practically apply atleast one aspect of what we discuss in the forum, either in the areas of investments or trading.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The outcome of merging traditional finance and decentralised finance. on: April 09, 2024, 06:40:32 AM
Would not decentralized finance lose its core value by merging with traditional finance? Even though some people might be into this idea, i know for a fact that a lot of people would not feel comfortable participating with a supposedly decentralized finance but authorities have access to the system it might also just be too confusing to people decentralized finance is already confusing to others as it is but to merge centralized finance with it it begs the question of why not just make it entirely different or separate? Both has pros and cons but merging it would not attract more people, i believe
Merging decentralized finance with traditional finance will not make financial sense because they're two opposing sides, one is centralized while the other is centralized, they serve different purposes, and merging them both will remove their core values. If this is done it'll bring more confusion than good, so they're better off serving their purposes differently, cryptocurrency is better off being decentralized and banks activities are traditionally centralized, that is the way they were created to function.
893  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Birthday of bitcoin founder. on: April 08, 2024, 04:54:32 PM
As Satoshi Nakamoto, choose to remain anonymous, I no think say im birthday go get any relevance for Bitcoin matter, because e no get any effect on di price, im no go throw any bash or give away BTC rewards. But I no go mind if we go get one special day every year wey we go take de celebrate this entity wey don touch many lives with dis Bitcoin wey im create, so dat di memory no go die, just like christians de celebrate di birth of Christ for Christmas, evendo say no be December, 25th, dem born am for dis world. E de good to de celebrate people wey don make impact for dis world, weda dem de alive and wen dem don die.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your top performing altcoin this year so far?? on: April 08, 2024, 04:14:10 PM
Ethereum has been on the number one spot in the altcoins ranking and it's mentaining the lead, but now Solana, is the new toast that investors are gaining so much trust and everybody in the crypto space are talking about it, so for me it has to be these two. Solana, is gaining a lot of reputation because of the many projects in it's network, plus it's relatively fast transaction time and low transaction fees, it comes highly recommended in this bull run. But the bull run is just getting started and any altcoin can still step up their game and become the topmost in their hierarchy.
895  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: April 08, 2024, 02:48:34 PM
This goes to show that ideas and visions are not enough to create wealth, they're foundations to start the journey of success, so what really creates wealth is the available tools or resources to actualize the ideas or visions. This is like the story of the guy who has written a book on how to become reach but is looking for money to publish and promote the book, very ironic, so despite his ideas on how to make money, he still needs money to print and promote his project. This is why the richest people are not the smartest people, they sorounds themselves with smart people, collect their idea, implement them and become richer.
896  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull has Started But Not Yet ATH. on: April 08, 2024, 02:05:50 PM
Bitcoin bull run has obviously started and we're still in it's early stage, we're looking at a massive bull run in this season because of the Bitcoin ETF that has propelled price to surge, hopefully we're going to see a new ATH at a peaked price of $200k. For the first we have already withnessed a new ATH before halving, this is majorly because of the ETF approval, therefore the previous halving patterns didn't apply where new ATH happens after halving. It's not late to continue accumulating Bitcoin, because we're going to see a massive ROI before bear run starts.
897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How far can BTC go before halving? on: April 08, 2024, 11:34:32 AM
Halving is just some days way and I am not interested in the price of bitcoin before halving before the next halving. What I am looking for now is the price after halving and I am expecting the price of bitcoin to increase. As for the price before halving, I do not know what it could be but I do not think bitcoin will go more $73000.
The halving is almost at hand and I think that it'll make more sense to be looking beyond it as it relates to Bitcoin price, what happens after the halving should be where price speculations focus should be now, although the Bitcoin ETF has changed most naretive of the previous halvings, example is seeing a new ATH before it. My speculation is focusing on what price can be at the end of this year, and I'm hopeful of seeing nothing less than $100k, and in the peak of bull run sometime next year to see ATH near $200k.
898  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel committing Genocide on: April 08, 2024, 10:45:08 AM

It would seem to me this is a new stage of the escalation against the people in Gaza who are fighting so they won't starve, if international voluntaries are getting killed this way, it will only exacerbate the famine as nobody will be willing to take risks to bring food to those who are most in need of it.
I'm very saddened about what is happening in Gaza, how innocent civilian lives are being lost everyday, and the war is not looking like it's going to end anytime soon, the IDF and Hamas, are probably not much affected by the bombardments like the unarmed civilians that are being killed as collateral damage. This resent incidence where innocent aid workers were killed is very uncalled-for, they were neutral in the war and were going to cater for the basic needs of the innocent civilians in Gaza, and I won't blame anybody that thinks their vehicle was not hit by accident, because they definitely alerted the IDF authority of their mission. The aim might be to discourage helps to get to get to Gaza, we'll never know.
899  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful about some messages to your DM on: April 08, 2024, 09:58:25 AM
Reading through the quote looks genuine, but then almost all scams will look genuine or legit from the start, so it depends on individuals preferences, if they'll like to explore further or just ignore the link. In your own case you don't want to take chances to open the link and actually get to know if the sender has a genuine interest or if it's a scam, so you're staying on the safe side and I wouldn't blame you for taking such a decision, however the project might still not be a scam, since you didn't explore further and there's no proof of it being a scam. I'm skeptical too about clicking unfamiliar links online because of scams and hacks, so it's ok to be cautious.
900  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Do you be in reincarnation? on: April 08, 2024, 08:48:21 AM
I was told after death people do travel to another place that they are not been known there to live before rapture. I want to know if there is any sure thing, because I don't believe in such.
Because if you do not remember your previous life, then in the next life you will not remember this one either. So what is the practical use of believing in reincarnation?
I ask myself this question too when I think of the concept of reincarnation, I wonder what it's essence is if we can not get even the slightest glimpse of a previous life, atleast to guide our faith in the belief of a future reincarnation. As far as I'm concerned we don't need to worry about whether we'll reincarnate or not because there's no proof of it, there's so much to worry about in this present reality.

In my tribe in Africa, they believe in reincarnation, mostly the elderly ones, because the modern youth are discarding the belief, my late father used to sometimes call me the name of his late uncle, he said that I'm the incarnation of his late uncle. My tribe believes that dead relatives always reincarnates and comes back to the family by being reborn into the house of any extended family, so when a child is born they consult oracles to know which dead family member that has reincarnated.
