You have described... the internet

Yeah... Well.. A internet without censorship as data would be free spread.

I need some feedback on this.. Am I being stupid or could this be a cool project to make my own internet with free speech?
The internet is essentially p2p already. The internet does not really have any central nodes which everything must pass through that enables censorship. What does enable censorship is that connections to the internet are essentially peer to peer with only one connection, which basically defeats the purpose of p2p. With multiple connections (physical connections), then this is circumvented.

My idea is based only Wifi as the main source of data.. Which requires some serious routers/accesspoints that can communicate with eachother to send the data.

But from what I mean is that to create a internet... That is everything.. So there is no deepweb and no clear net.
Everything is open.

Google can blacklist a website and therefor a user will have a hard time finding what they are searching for if its banned.
Or a government can ban websites so its citizens wont be able to access them.

The only way that censure would be possible with my "idea" is killing the nodes.

Or am I talking about something this is completely impossible..?
884  Other / Off-topic / A P2P internet... Kinda.. [IDEA] on: November 30, 2016, 09:41:46 PM
Hey everyone..

So.. I was just watching a video on YouTube about Geocaching.. For some reason..

But I started thinking about how everything is monitored and basically Google owns the internet.

Then I got the thought of a P2P network.

The idea I have in mind is the following...

1. Setup a data server that will be able to host websites and other kinds of data for client use.

2. Setup a DNS server that will be able to make the websites accessable with a domain.
- This is the thing I have a few issues with.. Because this will be a private network, so how does domains work here?

3. Setup a router that will be sending and receiving all the data from the client and server.
- Does this ruin the P2P idea itself?

4. Setup 10 access points/repeaters within an area of the router so they can distribute the data and accessibility.

5. Start trying to connect with mobile devices and computers that can use Wifi to connect to the network.

The idea behind this is a network that isnt connected to the internet.
No cables.. Just wifi.

Then other data servers can be set up and be connected to the network to expand it and store more data and services.

Therefore no censorship.

Is this something that is possible to do with IPv4 (TCP/IP) or do I need to look for another protocol instead?
Or is this something that the Tor network is doing already?

This is just a basic idea I got 10 mins ago on the toilet.. So it might be shit..

But I think its really interesting, and I have the equipment to actually test this out.
(Servers, switches, routers, repeaters/accesspoints and an education as a IT Technician.)

MyBitMine was my favorite game type faucet, earning with them, was very funny and pleasant. i will be very glad, if this site will continue life and give us chance to earn some btc again.

You can try dwarven mines now, it's the same style game, but with more realistic rewards an upgrades.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1667686.0

It's almost the same MyBTCmine, but with dwarvens.  Cheesy

ok, i will try it too. thanks a lot.

anyway, i wish mybitmine will become alive soon

good luck....
They are live already but they havent any solution for the users balances neither progress, if they dont return with something to handle those huge problem about payments and earnings, they will close doors again and again, management its required here.

There is a small disagreement between me and the old owner. And I mean SMALL..

The domain for the site expired and we were not able to gain access to the domain again, so we have to fight the register for 2 weeks to get the domain up and running.
I will do my best to get this going again.
886  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: RE-OPENED! MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: November 16, 2016, 10:44:54 PM
Website is being moved to new domain at www.mybitmine.com instead of .co

Website should be live again within the next 48 hours max. (Info from host)
Soo you will make the payments from the users balances at this time or hide and stay away to handle those question, i do believe you should warn your players since without us you got just a website.

Website died, and its not the best system that is made for it..

So if I can.. I will have my developer help me out so I can figure out how to fix the payment issues and all payouts will be paid no matter how old they are.

889  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Who Needs A High Quality BTC Advertising Platform Just Like Adsense??? on: October 25, 2016, 12:07:38 PM
Well, we need one yes..

But it requires that there is advertisers that sees the value.

By only letting advertisers pay with bitcoin, then you limit to bitcoin users only.. Accepting other means of payment will let non-btc users be able to advertise.

Any ideas how to start this over?

A relaunch would be the best idea.
Cost is around 0.50 BTC, if the community can come up with 0.25 BTC, then I do the rest.

Then the community is in control and decides what happens to the project.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Nugget Project, shut down. on: October 18, 2016, 08:11:28 AM
I would not call it a scam accusation, but its a grey area.

If people wants this re-launched they need to understand this costs money..
It can be re-launched, if the community is pitching in and is helping out.

If you have intrest in this, PM me and I can see what I can do to help.
But I wont do this like I just did again.

I need people behind me.

In crucial moments the developer was missing and was not responding.

To address the post from the developer:

This project has gotten out of hand and coming in to save everyone wont make much of a difference.

The real backers of this project left or has atleast expressed their dissatisfaction with the whole project. Even being so ignorant to ask for compensation in Bitcoin.

This Project would have been good, but such a messy launch will make exchanges and pool owners exclude a currency like this.

Even OCminer did not want to host a pool for this project.

And saying you put out a fix that I neglected to publish is false information as I provided the new update 4 hours before PoS went crazy.

Seems interesting..

But again, the ignorant world does not give a shit as they follow and believe in everything the mainstream media says.

Plenty of time available to fix the issue. Reconsider your decision. Hire new dev. There are plenty of devs here. Put a bounty in the services section. I think the issue can be resolved in a day or two. Don't give up. Or let the community to take over.

The community is more than welcome to take over the project.
