886  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: US Newbie Investor Guide on: June 21, 2013, 02:43:55 PM
Hello,

You probably know that, but you should never have bought any btc.

That said, you can send them whenever you want. A btc address is basically 2 keys: public key and private key. public key for receiving coins, and private key for sending them.
You can create a paper wallet here: https://www.bitaddress.org (or somewhere else). Just send your btc in the public address, and keep the private address to use them when you need to.
Blockchain or coinbase are not safe: if you don't own (and only you) the private key, you don't really own the bitcoins.
887  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS Dota2 - Unusual Golden Baby Roshan [MegaRare] on: June 21, 2013, 02:37:29 PM
It's amazing how big dota has got - I remember playing it when it was a custom map built in wc3 - though even back then it was still extremely popular

Anyway good luck with the sale  Wink

Yes, same... And I would never pay a single btc for anything like that.
I'm curious to know if anyone would put so much money into dota o_O
888  Economy / Speculation / Re: [STATS] Bitcoin bubble or are we here to stay? on: June 21, 2013, 02:36:20 PM
Just remember correlation doesn't imply causation.

this, obviously
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation: PowerCoin was 51% attacked on: June 21, 2013, 02:35:25 PM

890  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] 1 BTC via PayPal on: June 21, 2013, 02:33:44 PM
I don't see any sense in using escrow with pp. why? you can reverse transactions like always.

You can only reverse the transaction between you and the escrow, never with the escrow and the seller.
The escrow will probably used a fake ID, fake account, and got a negative amount of money in his account, but it does not really matter for him ... Paypal will never be able to find him / ask him to pay the money he owns them.
Anyway, you are likely to be a scammer, so I don't think that anyone would like to make a deal with you. Good luck Smiley
891  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Highest paying earn bitcoin site? on: June 21, 2013, 02:27:57 PM
I also started with various faucets but soon found them not worth the time and effort. Don't expect too much (or anything at all) from the "free" sites!

yes, you will waste hours, and still not being able to send the first satoshi Smiley

Roll Eyes

895  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi, I a newbie too, got a question on: June 21, 2013, 02:16:47 PM
Yes, I meant botton, sorry.

I just made an online wallet at blockchain.info. I don't use any app.

Yes, you have to buy btc somewhere else (like mtgox), and send them into your wallet.
896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty climbing fast on: June 21, 2013, 02:15:43 PM
So, by the time I can get an ASIC miner (several months of queueing), then difficulty would have already doubled, making the ROI time like a year....  :-(

Maybe, investing in mining rig is pretty stupid imo.

898  Economy / Services / Re: Get up to 0.30 BTC a month for your signature! on: June 21, 2013, 02:12:23 PM
Anyone understand how this whole activity thing works and how it translates to your member status?

There is an explanation of it in the meta forum. Its pretty much a calculation of weeks on forum + 1 post per day.

No, it is pretty much the minimum between active days and posts. So if you have a high amount of posts, it will depend on your registration date. And if you have an old account, it will be your number of posts.
