8821  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which sites allows me to trade and receive dividends in Bitcoin ? on: September 16, 2016, 11:29:32 AM
I used to use Havelock Investments in the past. It seems it is not updated anymore...
Cryptostocks allowed users to receive dividends from websites like Multipool for example. Cryptostocks is down.

What are the alternatives to these websites ? How can I invest and then hold shares, not coins and receive dividends from companies ?

Forget about all bitcoin related websites or companies that promise you profit, dividents or interest if you

"invest" your bitcoins in them. They are ponzi scams. Some might pay you a small divident just to look legit,

but later they run away with all your bitcoins.
8822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: September 16, 2016, 11:26:12 AM
Hey Guys,

what would be your opinion if there would been Bitcoin shops in big cities like London, Berlin or Paris (also smaller cities).
So you could go inside the shop and buy or sell Bitcoin for a good price.

I think it would be an good (and an advantage) idea because more people would use Bitcoin so the price would rise up and the people who are owning Bitcoins at the moment would have more money in Bitcoins. Wink

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley

It`s a good idea.Buying bitcoin offline should be endorsed.

The are a lot of people who you want to trade bitcoin offline and the risk of fraud and stealing bitcoins or

fiat money is big.Having such "marketplaces" might reduce that risk.
8823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jobs on: September 16, 2016, 06:37:06 AM
Are there any jobs on this forum other than being an escrow agent, in a signature campaign, manager of a signature campaign or having your own business?

Smiley

You can find more jobs in the "Services" category, i guess.

To succeed online you need to have your own business.I don`t rely on freelance jobs.

There are people here, who trade btc for fiat money.Currency trading is a job too,i guess. Smiley

8824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tired of trying to explain what is Bitcoin and Blockchain? on: September 16, 2016, 06:32:01 AM
Hey guys I wrote an article explaining what is cryptocurrency and Blockchain, I tried to resolve all doubts I had when I entered the cryptocurrency world.

https://medium.com/@neylor/eletronic-money-or-cryptocurrency-is-real-6beeebecc725

Feel free to share. Let make the community even bigger.  Wink

In my Medium profile I published the article in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

What is Medium?Another social network or web 2.0.

I wouldn`t click that link because  i don`t have antivirus program right now.

It`s good that you are trying to explain and promote bitcoin.

Did you draw this by yourself? It`s nice. Grin

Or i guess it`s created before 20 years when 1MB was too big.

For me 1TB isn`t enough. Grin
8826  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where do Bitcointalk members invest besides cryptocurrencies? on: September 16, 2016, 06:23:30 AM
I personally invest in penny stocks and ICO's.

I invest in CPA marketing to drive some leads to my offers.

I also invested 500$ in the online business of one guy and returned me $560 after 10 months.

Nice guy.He wasn`t a scammer.
8827  Economy / Economics / Re: How to win BTC with Crowdfunding? on: September 15, 2016, 12:25:24 PM
Hello.

I want to share with you a Greater Opportunity Make your dreams with Dream Donation Brazil!

It is enough to you to do a donation, and be so able to also receive donations from several other people.

Helping people achieve their dreams, we will be able to also realize our dreams, our goals.

The Dream Donation paid every day directly and automatically to our account in Bitcoin.

Unlike traditional donations, where only one person benefits from donations here in Dream Donation, all money raised on the day is divided by all people with cumulative score. And midnight is calculated the amount to be paid for accumulated point.

Thus the system is fair and sustainable, it never pays more than it collects.

I must point out that gifts is common and legal, which, incidentally, contained in the law.

Including both Barack Obama campaigns were financed through this system of donations.

The Dream Donation brings together the best of donations with the binary system, which will further boost the results, and the Bitcoin makes so this project in a unique opportunity for everyone, worldwide, can benefit and thus achieve their dreams.

You who are tired of systems that do not work, where only a few are benefited. Are you tired of sales. You trying their luck by playing gambling ... well, grab this opportunity to give and thus receive donations every day automatically to your account in Bitcoin.

If you have any questions, I am at the disposal.

Best wishes and much success!

This is not crowdfunding, this is charity.

Your title is little bit misleading OP. Grin

This system looks a little bit like ponzi.Nothing personal, maybe you have good intentions.

What if i donate 0,0000001 btc?If you split that amount among 10000 people, what`s the point?

8828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of Bitcoin's Biggest Miners is Launching a Second Pool on: September 15, 2016, 12:17:48 PM
As if running the third-largest bitcoin mining pool wasn't enough, China-based Bitmain announced the launch of its second mining pool yesterday.

Unlike the other large mining pools, though, the new offering (launched through its subsidiary BTC.com) will be open sourced to its community of users. According to Bitmain, the pool is not meant as a replacement for its popular Antpool platform (which has roughly 13% of the network's market share) but rather to enhance the stability of the bitcoin network.

In interview, Nisthant Sharma, international marketing manager at Bitmain, explained that the goal is to use this software to "promote decentralization of the bitcoin mining network".

More @ http://bitts.in/Vh4f

This is good news, i guess.

Mining is still profitable in China and they want to expand and grow.

Too sad that mining isn`t profitable in the western world. Sad
8829  Other / Archival / Re: What would you say to people who advice you to sell all your bitcoin? on: September 15, 2016, 12:14:28 PM
I've seen many people around bitcoiner who keep say/advice them to sell their bitcoin because various reason such as "sell before the price fall", "turn it into real money", "don't be fooled with that scam", "it's illegal to have/use bitcoin" or other reasons.
So, what would you say to people who advice you to sell all your bitcoin?

I don`t care about other people advices about my money.

Everybody takes responsibility about managing his money and making his investments.

Bitcoin is strong and still standing.
8830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gambling and Trading Sites are awesome!! on: September 15, 2016, 08:06:46 AM
For me, gambling and trading sites are the only legal sites right now rather than HYIP, Ponzi, Doubler and mining sites. I had been scammed from those sites. Then I learned about trading and now earning from it. I'm also earning from gambling sites right now.Of course you should have a good strategy on gambling for you to earn there. You should avoid being greedy and know when to stop. And lastly, "bet and/or invest only what you can afford to lose"! Cheesy

Yeah, gambling and trading sites are awesome, untill they scam you too. Grin

It`s good that you are making money from both trading and gambling OP.

I wouldn`t risk my bitcoins,i prefer more secure ways to earn btc.
8831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin related business would you start with $1M USD or ~ 1640 BTC? on: September 15, 2016, 08:03:04 AM
Hello,

If you had $1M in US Currency what business where you can get paid in Bitcoin would you start?

How would you invest the money in that new business you want to start?

Would you be able to make a living and draw a salary from this business?

It can be anything that doesn't break the law, including casinos or bitcoin gambling games.

What would you do?

Looking forward to some great ideas Smiley

P.S: Business should be able to operate from anywhere in the world with a small team. Also it's important that you are able to get some money out of this business each year to pay you good salary of around 150k - 200k per year before taxes.

If i had 1M USD i would definitely invest it into bitcoin gambling.Casinos never lose. Grin

I have an idea about a new bitcoin gambling game, but i don`t have time or money to build a business

around that idea. You should invent your own idea and business plan.
8832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do exchanges get their Bitcoin? on: September 15, 2016, 07:58:59 AM
Two that come to mind are Coinbase & Circle.  I did a quick google search, possibly wrong terms.  The information I got was useless.  I am sure this has been discussed.  If there is a good article/link on this it would be appreciated.

People who register accounts at these exchanges deposit bitcoins in order to

buy altcoins. This is how they get bitcoins,i guess.

If all the exchanges buy btc from Coinbase and Circle, then how Coinbase and Circle get their bitcoins?
8833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Italy Wants to Treat Bitcoin as Currency And Tax It on: September 14, 2016, 12:54:29 PM
On September 2, Agenzia delle Entrate, the major Italian tax authority, published a new document titled “Bitcoin and digital currencies buying and selling: clarification on the tax treatment” about the fiscal treatment of Bitcoin and how VAT would be applied to digital currency transactions.

The document states:

Quote
“Traditional currency intermediary activities made with virtual currencies held by market participants are exempt from VAT, as they are among the transactions related to banknotes and coins.”

Source : https://cointelegraph.com/news/italy-wants-to-treat-bitcoin-as-currency-and-tax-it

I'm not sure If it's something to be happy or sad about ? (treating bitcoin as a real currency and in the same time .. TAX IT) but well I guess that by the end of the day , Bitcoin won't go mainstream unless it is taxable.

I`m not surprised.Bitcoin IS a currency and should be taxed.

This is the way to adopt and legalize bitcoin,i guess.

I know that most of the bitcoin users don`t want to pay taxes and want to stay underground, but

we have to pay our taxes. Sad
8834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making Bitcoin Fully anonymous ? on: September 14, 2016, 12:50:37 PM
I guess we all agree here that Bitcoin is Pseudonymous and not anonymous , It's possible to use mixers,exchanges/gambling websites to mix your coins for the moment but It's just make things confusing and not anonymous for people to track you.

Darkwallet has officially failed and I'm not sure what they did with the funds , Zerocoin/Zerocash project kinda stopped the project and they are now working on an alternative coin called Zcash (and won't be used to make BTC anonymous).

I wanna know now , Is it possible to make Bitcoin anonymous or It's not meant to be in the first place when It first got designed by Satoshi ? If it's possible then would that require some modification in the Core and would need a Hard-fork ?

No cryptocurrency will be 100% anonymous.

Making a cryptocurrency 99,99% anonymous will require big investments and huge efforts.

That`s just my opinion. Smiley
8835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: one reason why bitcoin will not surpass fiat on: September 14, 2016, 12:47:05 PM
we hear about cool and new bitcoin ideas every day and also how these ideas will improve the standing of bitcoin. a cool feature that makes it better than fiat.
i want to talk about one such feature. bitcoin can reduce the trust we need when money is involved. let us say i want to bet a friend of mine and to make sure we pay after the bet is resolved we use a smart contract.
this sounds fine and reduces the trust needed.
but in fact we just shifted the trust to the coder who made the smart contract. sure we could verify the code, but how many people can do this (remember the DAO)? my mother can certainly not.
so in order to make smart contracts a big point for bitcoin we will need generations and maybe even have some sort of basic smart contracts training in schools. so this is not very likely.
even today nobody reads the fine print and just trusts that everything will work out fine (most people think they can sue to get the money back is something fishy happens). but all we need with smart contracts is just one misspelled letter and the money can be lost without recovery.
people are dumb, so fiat works just fine for them. bitcoin might be to advanced for people to really go mainstream without destroying many peoples lives, because they made a small mistake or trusted the wrong code/people.

can we solve this problem? should we get used to the losses? or is this one of the reasons bitcoin will never go mainstream?

Bitcoin will never become a mainstream currency. This is the sad true.

The lack of trust stops bitcoin growth and mass adoption.

Unfortunately bitcoin is still a "scammer friendly" digital currency.
8836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my Community bank fraud department called regarding coinbase on: September 14, 2016, 09:18:08 AM
I bank at a small community bank  in the states and they have some real nice personal bankers that are helpful. Recently the fraud department called asking what I do and why I  have so many transactions with coinbase. F U its my money,  I can buy whatever I want with it. This  is annoying because my small bank has no idea what bitcoin is and explaining it is not easy they are old school.  My question is I am not doing anything wrong like gambling, why are they inquiring. I work in a professional company and was surprised when the personal banker asked. She also said they called a few mo ago  too . I also have made small buys in a span of 9 mo  nothing big like 1 btc per month. Has anyone else been in the same situation?

Maybe your banker thinks that buying bitcoins with USD might be illegal.

We are all slaves of the bank industry and bankers think that they can control our lives.

That`s why i want bitcoin to grow and replace fiat money.
8837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese ‘BitGirls’ Show Brings Blockchain Voting, Cryptocurrency to TV on: September 14, 2016, 09:13:09 AM

Anyway it`s good that bitcoin will be promoted in Japan and it will become more popular there.

I don`t understand Japanese TV shows. Grin
8838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’ve been working in Bitcoin industry for 3 years and here’s why you should NOT on: September 14, 2016, 09:10:11 AM

I`m not going to click that link. Grin

Why don`t you just write your article here, instead of redirecting traffic to your blog.

Using bitcoin is always risky, but there is profit to be made.
8839  Economy / Economics / Re: My blog “Why Governments Want a Central Bank-Issued Digital Currency” on: September 13, 2016, 01:46:31 PM
It's very simple. They see what's coming with bitcoin, and they don't like it since bitcoin delivers freedom, so they want to launch their own centralized, closed source currency while banning bitcoin so everyone gets trapped in the controlled network of "governmentcoin".

That`s right. But a cashless society has very big risks.Cash and paper money still have advantages.

If they create a central bank-issued digital currency bitcoin will have a strong competition because

most of the people trust the goverment guaranteed currencies.
8840  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: September 13, 2016, 01:42:02 PM
There is alot of sites to invest in some can not be trusted and some are fake/scams. Here is my list and most are btc and bankroll for casino. Mostly are bitcoin invest and some altcoins. P2P leding can do diffrent fiat to. Biggest risk is sites get hacked or run of with the funds. But many sites gives great return. I would not invest in a place that gives less then 10% because not worth the risk. Like bitfinex.com had like 3% return on lending out btc. That was the only reason i didnt have any bitcoin on bitfinex. So its not worth the risk. All on the list i have tried for longer time.

Works great and trust
Betking.io - bankroll for casino
Poloniex.com - lending out to traders
Just-dice.com - bankroll for casino
Bitdice.me - bankroll for casino
Moneypot.com - wallet/bankroll for casino
Safedice.com - bankroll for casino
Satoshidice.com - bankroll for casino (Not have 2fa)

Looking into
Crypto-games.net
Bitvest.io

Not trust or like
Btcjam.com - p2p lending
Bitbond.com - p2p lending
Diggit.io - minesweeper bankroll

P2p lending and didnt work that great. So many not pay so you get around even.
Diggit.io offline much , takes forever withdraw, owner not interest much in run it.

Anyone have other sites to invest in? Or sites to stay away from?

Iam not a professional just a hobby investor. Will try answer all questions. And try answer logical and rational. All investing should not be done by emotions. Investing mostly not give huge returns, and need be patient. And my answer will be based on my experince investing.

Great list man.By the way, what is a bankroll for casino?

I have a btcjam account with $ 0,02 in bitcoins and invested them in  a loan and the guy

didn`t repay that amount.

I might check some of the websites in the list.
