8841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question about wallet hacking on: March 30, 2014, 11:56:38 PM
Andreas has been tweeting about a scam blockchain account on twitter for several days now - twitter seem to be slow dealing with it... apparently the scam account has near 70k followers...

Yow now that is a scary amount of followers if it is a scammer account
8842  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Need advice on: March 30, 2014, 11:50:47 PM
Someone in my area is selling 2 antminer s1 asics (360-410 GH/s) for $1500 each

Is this a good deal?

What would be a good price for these, used?
Yes its not only a good deal but it's a great deal... For him!

8845  Economy / Speculation / Re: Over 70BTC bet that Bitcoin will be $10,000 by end of 2014 on: March 30, 2014, 11:29:30 PM
http://bitbet.us/bet/635/1btc-10-000-usd/

Which side do you think is right?

It's tough to predict so early, but I'm quite sure it won't be $10,000 for at least a few years.

It won't reach 10k by the end of this year!

Then you should bet and get a 17% return on the No response Smiley

8846  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Chinese Bank Rumors Cause Panic Sale and BTC Price is Going Down on: March 30, 2014, 11:28:02 PM
usually the more you ban something, the more people will covet it.

True prohibition wasn't very effective, it seems to work in the odd case now and then but Bitcoin doesn't seem to be one of those cases albeit the price is dropping due to decreased demand and market concerns for now so semi related.
8847  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 0.01 BTC Giveaway on: March 30, 2014, 11:24:07 PM
ITT people lose their minds because they don't read the second post: I've been posting once a day for the better part of two weeks, and the OP updates every 24 to 36 hours. One number (666) has been guessed 10 times, many numbers have been guessed 4 or more times; as a result, even though we're approaching 1500 posts, almost a quarter of the numbers between 1 and 1000 have not yet been guessed. There's no point in posting the list of what has been guessed because no one reads it...

I am guessing a list of the remaining numbers for people to narrow down in number form not chart form would help but you deserve the prize for making all the data and eliminating the remainder

But meh 428
8848  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your Wish? on: March 30, 2014, 11:21:37 PM
For some reason now I kind of want but do not wish that the forum gave all its members a spontaneous amount of Bitcoins and altcoins  Cheesy
Without spamming the board haha

But I agree with the ability to heal self and others being quite useful

8850  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your Total time logged into Bitcointalk on: March 30, 2014, 11:18:53 PM
Total time logged in: 2 days, 14 minutes.

Total time logged in: 1 days, 12 hours and 13 minutes.

You don't really need to update us so often Smiley

Oh wait, how did you get your logged in time lowered? lol Shocked

>>>Huh>>>
That is weird maybe he lied the first time
8851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 5 years from now on: March 30, 2014, 11:17:48 PM

Honestly I see Bitcoin as the leader, if it falls I dont see any other currencies taking its place unless they have some special feature BTC doesnt

Bitcoin has a bad rep out in the world.
A different name might go far someday.

Well its mostly fear and what not although that's usually how things begin
Guess we can see the impact a name has with dogecoin and karmacoin later though on user sentiments
8852  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: March 30, 2014, 11:16:21 PM
I think the Bitcoin might reach $10,000 by the end of this year. Fiat will collapse completely of Russia invades South & East Ukraine.

With the ultimate goal of invading Romania and then finally Slovenia, so Putin can take over bitstamp: all your bitcoins are belong to us

I did enjoy that the Crimean prosecutor is wanted on a warrant in the Ukraine for working with Putin yet is safely in Russian territory Smiley
8853  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-03-29] Businesswire - Digital Currency Comes to Aid of Girl Scouts on: March 30, 2014, 10:58:44 PM

8854  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-03-29] www.reuters.com - Mark Karpeles bought a robot with customer funds on: March 30, 2014, 10:57:10 PM
Honestly, I'm not sure why they just don't come right out and let us know if it was a sex robot.  Kiss

I mean, it's Japan. People are wondering.

Ha-Ha that would be amusing didn't know that had robots and not just the inflatable types  Grin
8855  Other / Meta / Re: I'm sorry, but Inaba has just gone too far... on: March 30, 2014, 09:27:39 AM

8858  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin a viable Plan B? on: March 30, 2014, 04:16:20 AM
Well resetting a civilization usually requires a lot of bloodshed and violence and some people saying these people are crazy don't they realize what they are doing and saying.

But in reality it really is as series of steps and hopefully we learn and get stronger as a species through the lessons we learn from those experiences.
Not pro war mind you but pro change even if its not of the violent type of reset.
8859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! This is kind-of an exciting way to look at bitcoin on: March 30, 2014, 04:12:39 AM
TCP-IP for financial transactions - I love it.  But the protocol is presently very weak and disorganized with a bunch of loonies running the foundation.  I don't think the foundation in the present state is strong enough to protect and advance a protocol for something so important as money.  I think the foundation - rather than a technical defect will be the ultimate demise of bitcoin.  Now let's try to imagine what the second embodiment of 'the foundation' could be?  UN, US government?, Private company?, a new replacement foundation of better quality? Whatever it is, it will be forming itself pretty soon.

I agree with the article and the points above Bitcoin is definitely like the internet in many regards and the same with money
8860  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Track down and confront Mark Karpele's wife and kid to get some answers on: March 30, 2014, 04:07:24 AM
Topic of this thread is stupid. His family has nothing to do with it.

Agree even the mafia has a rule not to mess with families or declare a vendetta using omerta
